With the passing of his master it was time to once again get out into the world and do good once more. To see the world and meet new people was a good way to get past one's heart ache. So once again he traveled the road, but only this time traveling alone. Not only did that leave an empty hole in his heart, but his hands were empty of his normal walking spear was left behind. He traveled the roads with just the bare essential items so at to test his own abilities instead of relying on others; so he little besides the cloths on his back and the wit in his brain to go by.

He had chosen the Leaf to visit to and see if they needed any help. It would also offer him a good chance to start building his own locker of items, but traveling alone was rather boring. The few travelers he had encountered were not much for conversation, or if they were it normally tended to more morally questionable acts of entertainment: dicing and cards. Not something he was particularly interesting or tasteful. Hopefully he could meet someone that had a clear head about them, and didn't smell of drink.

Morning cut slithers of blue & gold through the mist, as the gentle cradle of the sky rocked to the sea’s constant rhythm. With this, time, it seemed, was cyclical. It had its constants and it had its variables. Small things changed and big things – great stokes by which the wheel was held intrinsically together – remained set in place. Konohagakure, as far as Mitsuhide could tell, was one of the constants; at least in the ebb and flow of his personal samsara.

Mitsuhide blasted from the village gates like a bat out of hell.

The lush, Fire Country forest land shimmered by on his right side, a setting sun clasped close to its massive breast. It was a supreme view. Dust stirred.

Someone had been sighted in the twilight, hearing this, Mitsuhide had rushed to meet the new arrival on security detail, his heavy breath hounding at the glowing warmth of candlelight-sunset. Shadows danced through the cartilage rings and blackened sockets of row upon grizzly row of trees, their bleached-bone masks grinning in silent legion. The air was alive here, as if the rotted mouths of those ancient faces still breathed from beyond the grave. It was surreal, but it was hardly dreadful. The leering faces were far from forgotten, they had no reason to wish blight upon the living.

The Hidden Village, upon the border of the forest left a slew of lilies at the ruined entrance; every summer they gazed on at the sealed entrance in respect for those Little Christs that had stolen away to hide, and eventually die, amidst the heaped bones of the wilderness.

He had watched the sun butcher the sea, the same yellow hue as his eyes.

Now it stood tall and scorched the evening sky a fierce celestial yellow, like a beating heart, flooding the veins and arteries of the world with life. He had watched it begin to beat and shudder upon the horizon, how it’s last rays called the workings of the coastline from slumber, how it ushered the hordes into their houses and out of their weary lives, freeing the baking cobbles of lilim footsteps.

He came to find himself perched upon the upper branches of a tall tree, overlooking the new arrival to his nation. Mitsuhide breathed in sharply, closing his eyes for a second before giving proper thought to the aesthetics of the man below him, he looked strong, but he also looked weathered. The ninja in the woods below him, if he intended harm to Konoha, was his now, by right of conquest.

Leaping down in a graceful motion towards the clearing, Mitsuhide would enter the man's field of view and transfix his gaze onto the Shinobi. Mitsuhide cleared his throat -

"Declare your intent, wanderer," The Uzumaki spat "If I cannot trust you, I will have your head,"

The lonely road wasn't the best company, but it was definitely a familiar one. One that he had grown up with for most of his life, and better company than questionable merchants and their guards. Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately depending on things went, their silent conversation was interrupted by a man landing in a tree, and judging by his body language things might turn unpleasant.
"Declare your intent, wanderer," The man spat at him"If I cannot trust you, I will have your head."
This man seemed to be more than a bandit, more than likely a Konoha ninja that had been alerted to a large chakra field entering their country. He had gone over this last time when he was with his master the last time he visited here. Unfortunately he lacked the connections that his master did that normally eased any twitchy nerves in the welcome party.

Turning to face him and bow to give a more proper introduction. He introduced himself as he always did "Greetings stranger, I am Tetsu, a wandering monk. I come to the hidden leaf in search of wisdom, and to help those in need. How might I be of assistance?"

Introducing himself alone already felt normal to him, perhaps getting out into the world help much faster than he thought. Instead of having a heavy heart for the past, he would have a heart lifting him to the future!
