Ukio
D-rank
Ukio, born from a clan of prosperity to have lost in the Chunin Exams. Was it fate or was he weak. He looked at himself in a well of Sunagakure and pondered if everything he worked for was for nothing or if he was destined for greater things. He wouldn't know and did seem to want to know. He even pondered leaving for good and living out his life on his own terms with no village to tell him what he is or wasn't. But it wouldn't have the training he needed. The people he needed to provide him the strength. He needed to be the rock people break themselves against. It was the only way he could become stronger.
He looked behind to the narrow path that led to the village. He was glad to be leaving but it pained him that he wouldn't have graduated to a Chunin. But he was young and his path was clear. He had room to evaluate himself and become what he wanted. After all he was all but a child. He looked forward, imagining the path ahead of him, it looked beautiful to his mind's eye as he smirked to himself.
Ukio darted forward into the vast desert laying before him. It was in the break of dawn itself, the sun rising and growing in heat as he ran fast through the desert. Sweat dripping down his body as he slid down the dunes, he didn't have a care in the world, but it still gave him a pit feeling in his stomach. He failed the exams, would he be belittled? Would people look at him as a weakling even though he's an Uchiha?
Thoughts raced through his mind as he fled the desert and entered into the treeland. He could instantly feel a difference in the temperature 50 feet into the forest. He was almost home, but what would people think. He had second thoughts of returning, leaving and never showing his face again. It pained him to think that way as he would have to give up everything.
He could see the mountains past the trees. They were becoming less and less apparent in contrast to when he first entered the forest. He was almost home but he still felt uneasy, but the path of conquest remained in his mind's eye. It was if traveling home held so many opportunity's than if he didn't. He had to trust his heart and mind. In spite of what people might think he was going to make everyone see him as a strong shinobi. He wasn't going to allow people to him as weak or unable to live up to his family name. This was his time to be known for the greatness that his ancestors once encouraged, and felt themselves, but for a far different reason.
Ukio leaped up the mountains and into the clouds, onto the path that led to his village. He stopped instantly as he approached the gates, his heart sinking into his gut as he stared to the gates that sneered at him as to mock him, but he simply smirked that himself, he knew what he wanted. He walked forward and marched on into the village, passing the jonin that greeted him but spoke nothing of his failure. He knew they were thinking it but formally decided to not acknowledge it. He was an Uchiha, and a powerful shinobi. And his path of conquest wasn't going to crumble. It was going to be the path of life that he had to walk.
