Orino held the bandages to his side as he tried to walk calmly out of the Sunagakure gates. The bitter taste of defeat was fresh on his tongue, it was immortalized by the beginnings of a scar he bore. The still red flesh was held together by menial suturing. Blood dotted Orino's white kimono, running along from left hip to the right shoulder. The wound mocked him, robbed him of the dignity he had. Defeat was never accepted in the Gaiso house, the punishment for sure failure would be sever. Despite his families caring demeanor, they still relished in the old ways of the clan. Failure was not met with a sweet talk by his parents, or a motivational speech to make him feel better. No, failure was met with punishment and discipline, meant to ensure success if there were ever a next time. When he would inform his parents of his failure, his father would most likely deliver a swift and earned beat down. Or, if his parents deemed his failure sever enough; his sutures would be cut out and it would be re stitched so the scar was more prevalent. Although, this was more 'relaxed' than the beating. It bore with it a dishonor worse than any beating. Living with a memory of your loss for life. It made him more angry than scared, he had taken beatings from his father and many other elders through his life, it taught self-reliance, toughness, and general martial prowess. After his first beatings he could go toe to toe with some of them afterwards. He put it out of his mind, he took off his Kimono as he walked through the desert, the mountain line could be seen in the distance. Removing his Kimono, The wound was oozing small amounts of blood; namely the start and ending of the wound. He would keep the kimono off for general comfort. Keeping it on caused a mild discomfort, but off it supplied a bit of comfort. With a scowl, Orino continued his walk into Kumogakure territory. His Kimono would be slung over his shoulder.

The signature mountains of his homelands loomed ever closer with each step. He had not long ago redressed his wounds with the bandages given to him by the Suna medic that patched him up, it stung a lot, but was necessary to avoid infection. Every prick and pain served to remind him of defeat and him inevitable punishment. Knowing his parents, they either had someone relay the match to them or had someone follow him to the exams and watch his fight. The very thought of his parents judging him every step make him grind his teeth vigorously. But, such was life. He would have to take the punishment because of his folly and learn from it and regain his families lost honor. Although, at least he was not a part of the samurai families in the land of iron, Orino found the act of Sepukku was useless in regaining honor. It actually made one look more incompetent because they did not pursue the object that dishonored them. But, that was neither here nor there; the Kumogakure gate was coming into view and with it his home.

Opening the door to his house he took off his shoes and placed them by the door. Before entering into the village he had tidied himself up, put his kimono back on, tucked everything in and made himself look generally presentable.  He entered the families common room, a very spacious room decorated slightly with clan symbols, family pictures and other such thing. He walked to his fathers office where he was seated  and his wife stood beside him. He looked Orino straight in the eyes and motioned for the chair in front of him, no words. His father placed a letter on the table and slid it to his son. Orino could already tell he knew about the results of the match without looking at the letter, it was written plain on his face."Your performance in the exams were...less than acceptable. I trust you understand the penalty for such failure in this household?" It wasn't much of a question, he knew full well what had to be done. All he had to do now was man up. He nodded his head.
