Kenji Chikara
D-rank
Kenji stayed a few more days as a tourists; he spent his time hanging with Otto, Ta’zuma, and Sahi; that was the lady at the lodge’s name. He enjoyed his time at Iwagakure. He was now outside the village gates on his way back to Kumogakure. The Iwagakure folk he spent his time with gave him several souvenirs and food for his trip back. He walked steadily through the heat of the Iwagakure wilderness.
Kenji was proud of himself, it was definitely a test. The battle went on for hours and Kenji was pushed to his limits. Even with his new strongest asset, sage mode, he still had a difficult time. Without Ta’zuma’s intel and Otto’s versatile jutsu selection, the mission would have certainly failed. He would have definitely been competitive but he wouldn’t be able to defeat all three of them.
Now used to the climate, he moved through the rocky terrain casually. His connection with nature has made him able to adapt quicker; making the trip much more pleasant. Kenji was leaving the boundaries of the Land of Rock.
The altitude grew, and the air gradually became chilly. It was obvious he was back in Kumogakure. It took him a week to leave Iwagakure’s boundaries. He was now ready to get back to the village hidden in the clouds. Kenji revved up his pace and began to move swiftly through the environment he knew too well. Kenji left a blue streak in his path as he darted through the changing terrain. In marshy areas he used more force to propel himself further exiting the marsh lands quickly. In rocky areas he used his agility to flip from one foot hold to the next; such acrobatic feats were almost as easy as walking for him.
The Special Jounin was in a wooded area. He took out time to rest; the shinobi had long devoured the food given to him by his comrades in Iwagakure. Kenji ate his meal and promptly resumed his travel back to Kumogakure. This was the most difficult of the area to navigate through. The branches were too brittle to travel on, and it was too crowded with random bristly twigs and bushes that extended into the path for rapid movement, unless one wanted several scrapes and cuts along their lower body. Kenji decided to move slower in the area, giving himself a break.
He moved down alongside one of his favorite ranges. The cold air provided the ninja refuge, as he craved the cold air in his lungs. His breath was visible. Kenji periodically checked his surroundings and checked his gloves to make sure there weren’t any ambushes. Kenji made an effort to survey his surrounding as he became aware that he’d been moving way too casually.
Kenji was now at the village gates of the village hidden in the clouds. And he was happy to be back. He was gone for almost a week, and he was eager to resume training and go to the Sky Bar. His pace was reduced to a mere stroll, his katana on his hip. He removed most of the layers and scarf and they were now in his backpack. He waved to the guards on duty; they welcomed him back. They talked about the mission he was sent on, Kenji gave them minimal details as he expressed he was in need of a few days rest. “Do you have a granola bar Kenji, we haven’t eaten yet?” Kenji tossed them both two granola bars, “If you need me for anything less than urgent, leave me a message. I’ll be resting. Later” They responded, “Later, Kenji.”
