Sasijimi sighed to himself as he lifted the gunbai he carried around with him above his head to block the sun's rays from his eyes, allowing him shade and a clear view of the long road ahead of him. He had gone through troubles within the last few weeks and had missed his opportunity to join in the chuunin exams to prove his worth. He was broken and saddened that personal issues had arisen and kept him from competing, yet he still had a sliver of hope as he began to walk down the long winding road from the Kaminari no Kuni border gates. He was so set on becoming the best ninja he could be that he hadn't actually considered any variables that would stop him from being able to join the exams and show how good he was, and how much harder he had trained than the other genin. He thought that the next time he would return home it would be as a chuunin, instead he was subjected to the walk of shame, as a genin still, having not even had the chance at his promotion. He began thinking of his village and what he could possibly do to remedy this situation when a thought crossed his mind: Missions were always available to the young ninja of the village, and there was more than just a single way to earn a promotion to the next rank.

This instilled in Sasijimi a fire, a burning passion, he was going to become the strongest ninja the land had ever known yet, and it would be through hard work. Not by receiving it for completing the exams. He smirked to himself, his pink lips tightening a bit as his mind raced. This would be his chance and he wasn't going to miss it! He began to pick up the pace, urging his muscles to push his legs faster, picking up speed as he ran towards his home. His speed had picked up immensely since he first started on the way back home and the area around him was blurring past. The trees and even the ground beneath his feet seemed to be moving quicker and quicker. He was determined to make his mark on the ninja world no matter the cost. He looked up a few times to check the position of the sun, watching it shift through out the day, becoming darker and darker. Eventually the moon would rise and he'd have to rest for the night. He had a long way to go and a short time to get there.

~Days Later~

It seemed as though the days blended together before he eventually realized he had reached the border gates of the Kaze no Kuni. He had arrived in the land of wind, and was making his way quickly to the village hidden in the sand. He nodded to the guards at the border gates, and smiled softly, his eyes betraying him for a tired mess after such a long journey. He was as much ready for a trip home to sleep as he was for training and missions to begin once again. for now though, he would set his sights on his bed and rest his tired bones to begin training and missions the next day. Sasijimi eventually reached the gates to the village hidden in the sand and waved to all those he passed who said hello to him, sighing a bit as he made his way steadily and surely towards his home near the market district. Tomorrow morning he would definitely begin training again.
