Fishy[D-Rank Mission], Day 3
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Bee –
Smash!
Poor Mr. Alarm clock couldn't even finished it's fourth beep, before it met it's end via smashing into the nearby wall within Nanashi's apartment, the components that make of said piece of equipment flying everywhere. Thankfully the process of destroying the clock didn't wake up the majority of the inhabitants that makes up the complex, them have already left for work today, while others were already up and had expected it nonetheless. It did help though that this “ritual” didn't occur everyday, just some, like three out of the five days. Though complaints were filed, they mainly were annoyed. And the fact that Nanashi paid quite the amount of money each month, on time didn't sway the decision at all. Nope, not at all. Okay maybe a little but that's a story for another time. Speaking of Nanashi.
The greenhorn genin, had just came out of the bathroom, doing what any respectable gentlemen did when they were in there; brush teeth, bathed and taking a dunce. The latter strong enough to peel the paint off the walls. Humming a small tune to himself, that his mother use to single to him, he quickly grab the scroll lazying haphazardly on his futon. Having picked up the mission late last night after working in the restaurant , the teenager didn't had the chance of even reading the parameters of the next mission till now.
. . . .
Well that's interesting, guess I will be going swimming. Oh joy! Like someone who went crazy with the honey sauce of them wings, sarcasms heavily dripped off the thoughts of the Guanyin clansmen. It wasn't the mission itself that annoyed it, more like how it came about. How could someone allow their prize fish jump out of the aquarium into the point. More importantly what business did the aquarium have being so close to the pond? So many questions that Nanashi, himself didn't want the answer for, not like he didn't care, he just had a feeling they the answers would cause a headache. Clearing his head from those thoughts, he quickly and gracefully move towards a pre-filled parcel and added an extra set of clothing to the mix, before heading out to meet the idio – I mean owner of this mission.
“Thank you for coming, young man. The pond is around back. And – “ On reflex Nanashi instantly tuned the rest of Mr. Yomi squabbling off, only paying attention to what he deemed was necessary and nodding or given a few syllable answer every now and then.
“Here's a picture of Ms. Goldie the Ninja Fish.” Taking a look at the picture of a relatively big fish, that had an usually small pectoral fin and back at the lake where the fish jumped into, Nanashi began to formulate a plan of attack.
“Any questions?”
“Why yes, do you have a pair of rubber boots?” Mr. Yomi nodded at the question while scampering off to get what the young man requested. By the time he had return, a bare footed Nanashi was patiently waiting.
“Thanks, this shouldn't take to long.” Nanashi said putting on the pair of rubber boots, that were a size to big for him. Mr. Yomi himself decided to make himself scarce.
Becoming like Jesus for a moment, Nanashi began to walk on the walk, but kneeling down at the center of the pond – or at least what he thinks is the center. Any shinobi that were watching would noticed the subtle build of chakra on his fingertips, forthwith turned into lightning chakra. Fun fact. Fish can be safety electrocuted, if one has some knowledge of the voltage/amps required in doing so. The results can be rather shocking!
And that's exactly what Nanashi did, sent a low voltage pulse throughout the entirety of the lake cause every fish and their kin to rise to the surface. Seeing how the stun fish only stay like that for a minute or two, Nanashi quickly began the search for Ms. Goldie the Ninja Fish, discarding quite a couple that he thought where it but wasn't. Only till with an usually small pectoral fin, did he manage to find Mr. Yomi's prized fish – just in time to for the stun fishes were now moving and going about their way. Taking the fish in hand Nanashi make the trek back to Mr. Yomi's house to return the fish and for him to sign his mission statement.
A job well done, if Nanashi say so himself.
