A cold draft could be felt throughout his house when Zetsume finally decided to get out of bed. He did like cold weather, yet it seemed unbearable when it was his entire house that was cold. The growling of his stomach is what finally threw him out of bed. When he looked inside of the fridge there was not much to eat except maybe a sandwich or two. This would not suffice. He would have to take another mission to finally be able to eat right. After gearing up he looked down at Repede. He was acting different all morning. Zetsume recalled hearing howls in the late of night. He only heard one and never really expected much from it. It had his poor puppy growling and constantly peeking his head outside the window. He would find out what is causing this.

"You will be okay, stay here until I get back. I am going to try and find out where those howls are comming from. You protect this house okay?"

Zetsume leaned down to pet the dog. It seemed to comfort him a little though in the back of his mind he was worried about something bad is out there. The last thing he remembered hearing was a small whimper was heard from the dog as he left his house. The dog was worried for his master and wished he did not leave him alone.

After checking the mission board he noticed something. It was a mission about rabid wolves in the area. Zetsume picked up the mission letter and read " We have been getting reports of a howling just outside of the Kumogakure gates. We want you to check it out. If anything other than human is there, kill without hesitation. "

Maybe this is why Repede is acting different., He thought to himself while he examined the letter. Either way he was going to take this mission. After asking the Raikage's permission, he was informed that he would travel with a partner.Seifer?, He never heard of this guy before but this was his partner for this mission. When Zetsume asked what kind of ninja is he, she replied "B rank user in Kenjutsu". Zetsume liked the idea of a close quarter combat ally over two ranged. If the Kenjutsu user were to dash at the enemies then they would focus him because he is closer while Zetsume shot from the back. Though if he was with two ranged people the enemy could hit both of us if were not split up. If we were split up then supporting one another is almost impossible. He liked the given approach much better. Zetsume was rather reliable when it came to supporting. He would be sure not to let this fellow down. He respectfully bowed to the Raikage before departing towards the gate. That is where they were to meet up before looking for these beasts. Zetsume was eager and anxious to meet his partner for this mission. He knew nothing about him, and meeting new people could always become a learning experience.

When Zetsume arrived at the gate he did not really expect what he found. He saw what appears to be a blond haired man waving his sword around screaming something about "YOU NO GOOD LYING, CHEATING, SON OF A BITCH!. From that moment Zetsume knew he would regret having to take this guy along for the mission. He had no say-so but still, he would regret having this annoying prick. Zetsume did not really know what the fuss was about and went to go check it up. For at the moment this man's reputation was also Zetsumes, and he will not tarnish this reputation so easily.

Zetsume caught up to the man and grabbed him by the shoulder, "You are Seifer right? I am going to accompany you on today's mission", he said while trying to push him away from the store that apparently stole his money. Zetsume really did not know what was going on but knew he had to keep his mind on something else.

"Hey, You are that new little spit-fuck bow user I heard about. How will is your shot with this blade at your throat." He said coldly while holding his blade at his throat. Zetsume felt a little worried but knew even this man was not stupid enough to kill him in broad daylight with people looking around. He kept a calm cold face while he spoke back "Please, I am not here to argue. I just want to get this mission done and go home. If you wish to fight afterwards, we can figure out when, but now is not the time.

After a few seconds of silence he finally put down his blade. He said that Zetsume was not worth his time anyways, and that his skills should be shown to eyes that can truly understand them. Many times in his head he wanted to kill this man but stopped himself before he lost it. He did not like his arrogant prick attitude. Someone needed to knock him down a few notches. Zetsume would but he had to keep his mind on this mission and staying alive to see Repede again. He missed the dog now. After their talk was over Seifer decided that he would take point and move forward in search of these so called "wargs". He often talked about how he did not know how people can get so caught up by some dogs. Seifer would often flail his sword around acting as if he is chopping heads off of dogs. He made a mockery of himself and it was rather funny to watch sometimes. The biggest problem this loudmouth produced was in fact his loud mouth. In this dense forest sound travels far and he talked nonstop for the entire search. Oh how Zetsume wished this man would just shut up for once. Then the wish came true. Seifer stopped in the middle of the forest staring at the ground. He seemed to be looking at footprints of a Canine family. Though there were many footprints that indicated more than one. From the looks of it there had to be roughly twelve from Zetsume's guess. He could be off. The man was quiet now focused like a true ninja should be. Seifer and Zetsume followed the tracks until they found a small den.

1074/1500 WC

When they had reached the end of the tracks they found something rather gruesome. These wargs had just got done eating a helpless human. They ripped and shredded through his flesh like it was butter. Blood was everywhere though there was only one body. Zetsume and Seifer were crouched in a bush looking down at the horror. Lucky for them they had elevation to look down into the den. There seemed to be roughly sixteen of them. Well that was just how many Zetsume could count. For all he knew there could be more. Zetsume decided to waste no time and used his Shi No Yoake (Dawn Of Death). He shot the arrow into the air just above where they had been eating and watched the arrows spread into one hundred different once. This barrage of attacks managed to take down eight of them, though there were still eight more. They howled in rage as they charged Seifer and Zetsume who were upon on the hill. Seifer took out his sword and swung at the wargs who jumped at him. He was making sure that none of them reached Zetsume.

While Seifer was protecting Zetsume he continuously shot arrows from his bow. Each shot met their mark in the beasts heart, killing them in seconds. These animals were in no position to fight back. They had been ambushed and now were being slaughtered. They had no hope against these two. Seifer managed to only take a few bite wounds though Zetsume was unscathed when it was over. Zetsume stacked the bodies up and counted sixteen. That was a fairly large amount and each one looked different. Zetsume lit the stack of bodies on fire intended to cremate them. He had never seen these types of animals before and now there were so many in one spot. Zetsume felt better that he got to help his village and that both Seifer and him were alive after it all. Seifer kept talking in his cocky way saying how he will never be taken down by some rabid dogs. Zetsume wondered how this situation could have changed and was glad that it worked out the way it did. He would now be able to give assurance to his puppy, Repede. This warmed his heart. They began their long journey back.

When they arrived Seifer instantly went to the bar to drink. Zetsume would not do the same, he knew he had to turn in the mission. The sooner the better people will feel at night. After reporting to the Raikage, he set of toward his house. Upon entering his puppy begged to be picked up. Zetsume picked him up and pet him softly before sitting down on the couch. Repede seemed much more calmer now than he was when Zetsume left. It could be the fact that Zetsume killed the animals that seemed to bother him late at night. Zetsume curled up on the couch with Repede and fell asleep. Though he could never get the image of that poor human remains out of his head.
