Gin

Gin

Retired
Almost two months in the hospital could really take a toll on a person’s body, not to mention his or her morale. Gin Kuroka, current Kazekage of the Village Hidden in the Sand had gone from being considered one of the strongest shinobi in the world to being unable to even stand after such a long time just lying in a hospital bed, glued to an IV that kept her fed. Needless to say, she had seen her strength reduced greatly, not to mention the fact that she felt quite pathetic, looking back on the whole ordeal. Sure, she had been through hell. She had lost the people she had cared about most – her two unborn children and the former love of her life. But in her mind, that was no excuse to show weakness. She still had a title to maintain, a village to lead. She couldn’t let it all sink to hell because of her own lack of strength.

Gin scoffed. She knew that strength was key to holding her rank. Hell, she would be an idiot if she didn’t. But the fact that she could still barely stand was frustrating, to say the least. She looked at herself in the large mirror that her bathroom had. She had moved back to the Kazekage’s mansion about a week ago, the second she had been discharged from the hospital. In the few moments that she left Trilby’s side, she would often wander through the many rooms inside the mansion or look over the overwhelming amount of paperwork that had piled up during her absence. Merely looking at it gave the young woman a headache. Nevertheless, she had to fulfill her duty as Kage, regardless of the fact that she hated going through her administrative duties. Even so, that wasn’t her concern at the moment. She had taken a break from her duties to simply relax for a brief amount of time. She owed it to herself to keep her sanity within a firm grasp. Taking short breaks like this one was crucial for that.

Gin kept looking at herself in the mirror and frowned. She had lost a lot of weight over the last couple of months, regardless of the fact that her mobility had basically been reduced to zero. Then again, over that time, she had refused to eat. Looking at herself now – her sunken cheeks that displayed how ill she seemed, the bags under her eyes that showed the fact that she rarely slept, the pale skin that only added to her sickly appearance – Gin could only frown. She lifted her shirt slightly, trying to her a good look at her stomach. Her skin clung tightly to her entire rib cage. She could even see her hip bones as her jeans slipped down slightly. She had gone down a couple of sizes in clothes, needless to say. She knew that her appearance wasn’t up to par with what it used to be, which was why she had momentarily stopped wearing the revealing outfits that she loved so much. Quite frankly, she wasn’t used to seeing so little of her skin when she looked into the mirror. It was… odd, to say the least.

As Gin kept her shirt held above her stomach, her hands unconsciously drifted towards her bare skin, caressing her stomach. Upon realizing what was meant to be, but wasn’t, sadness and misery hit her like a speeding train. She would have been past her first trimester by now. Her stomach would have a small bulge. Her twins would be growing. She would be happy. Gin clenched her fists and shut her eyes. She couldn’t bear looking at herself. She felt tears welling up in her eyes. She did whatever she could to hold them back. Without thinking, without even hesitating, Gin threw her fist against the mirror. Shards of broken glass littered the floor as they fell with a loud clash. Crimson drops of blood streamed down the young woman’s fist, down her forearm and towards the floor. Gin let out a broken sob, her fist and eyes still both clenched tightly. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes.

Breaking the mirror didn’t make anything better. If anything, it only made things even worse. Gin now saw dozens of tiny images of herself staring back at her. A wave of anger spread through her entire being and invaded her core. With it came a need to kill, a need to inflict pain. She would have likely blown the entire building to shreds; she would have likely gone mad had she not heard someone speaking to her at that very moment. “Breaking a mirror usually means seven years of bad luck.” Gin recognized that voice, calm yet chilling and infinitely wise. She turned around to see none other than her mother, staring at Gin blankly. Her expression was unreadable, or at least Gin found it difficult to read. After about eight years spent away from her mother, the woman was nothing short of a stranger to her. Gone was the kind and joyful woman that had raised the young Kazekage. In her place was someone cold and unsympathetic. As Gin looked at her now, she could easily tell what had changed from the mental image, the memory that she had of her mother and the person that stood in front of her right now.

The mines had definitely aged Hana Nanahara more than Gin would have liked to admit. Small wrinkles were beginning to show up on her skin, though you could barely notice them. Her eyes and her gaze were no longer warm and inviting, but rather skeptical and almost dead. And yet the woman still managed to look like an older version of Gin, had the young Kazekage been born with dark brown hair and emerald green eyes. She could thank her father and the fact that the Kuroka genes were generally dominant for the fact that she had cyan colored eyes and silver hair. “How did you get in here?” Gin managed to say. Her tone wasn’t hostile, but rather melancholic. She looked at the woman, managing to ease her eyes open and let go of her clenched fists. “The doors were locked, I made sure of that,” Gin went on, mostly talking to herself, wondering if she had missed anything when she had decided to briefly retreat into solitude. Hana smirked slightly. There was a devilish glint in her eyes, giving off a sense of mischief. “There are many things about me that you don’t know, dear child,” She said simply. The woman took a few steps towards Gin closing the distance between the two. Gin flinched as the woman took hold of her injured hand. “Like what?” Gin said as she tore her arm away from her mother’s light grip.

Hana sighed and ran a hand through her hair – it was a habit that they both shared, one that Gin had likely unconsciously adopted from constantly being around her mother before she left to become a kunoichi of the Hidden Sand Village. It was painful, really, the fact that she could now barely recognize her own mother, the woman that had raised her and taken care of her even after Gin’s father had decided to leave them both. But then they had drifted apart to the point where they could be considered complete strangers.

Trilby narrowly dodged Shinji's blow, sweeping to the right. The tip of the blade slid along Trilby's left side, scraping along the surface of his armour plating. "YOU FIGHT LIKE AN AMATEUR!" The harsh tone of his grandfather snapped at him, mocking his efforts. Four days they had been at this, now. The last time Trilby saw Shinji, he was a genin. Shinji had handed him his mother's research on a platter. Those research notes lead to Trilby's eventual development of the Dark Priest arts, the school of Fuuinjutsu that had made him the man he was today. He had given Trilby an identity, a glimpse of his past, and motivation all on one massive shiny tray. And now here they were, a few years later. Trilby was now a Jounin, technically of equal rank to his Grandfather, although he happened to be a retired ANBU captain to boot. Yet here they were, he was once again helping Trilby improve himself. This time, he was improving his combat prowess through a brutal training regiment.

The tip of Trilby's blade swung across the bridge of Shinji's head, scraping across his headband. Shinji lunged forward, letting go of his own blade as he did so. Shinji's left forearm smashed into Trilby's right shoulder blade, while his right forearm belted Trilby in the throat. Trilby staggered backwards a few feet, Shinji taking advantage of he moment to lock his arms around Trilby's right wrist, twisting it just enough to cause Trilby's hand to be forced to release it's grip. Yamato fell to the ground as Trilby lost control of his right hand momentarily. Shinji locked his right shoulder blade under Trilby's right shoulder, pushing upwards as he straightened his legs and pulled. Trilby was dragged through the air, landing next to Yamato with a thud. "PATHETIC!" He yelled, gathering up his own blade. as Trilby began to pull himself to his feet with a groan.

"Yamato, was it? It's dull. My Retribution is far sharper than your weak blade." He said, mockingly, sliding Retribution back into it's scabbard. "Again" Trilby barked out as he coughed, his breathing still laboured from the harsh blow to his throat. Pulling Yamato out of the dirt, he gave it's hilt a firm whack, clearing the dust and soot off the blade before slowly sheathing it. "Come now. You can't keep up with me." Shinji said with a grin, dusting his long red hair out of his eyes. "You couldn't even save Gin from an obese man with a shuriken. How the hell are you going to beat me?!" Too far. Trilby's eyes flared with hatred. Shinji had crossed the line. He would never allow anyone to mock that part of him. Never. He lunged forward, wrapping his left hand around Yamato's scabbard. His left index finger pushed against the Tsuba, dislodging it slightly as he dragged the scabbard out of his belt, bringing the hilt to meet his right hand before him. wrapping the patch of skin between his thumb and forefinger around the hilt of Yamato's tsuba, bringing his left hand up to meet the base of the blade's hilt as the scabbard dropped casually back into his belt. Trilby's blade swung downwards towards Shinji, colliding with the blunt side of the now drawn Retribution. Shinji's blade swung back, shoving Yamato back into the air. Retribution dragged itself the rest of the way out of it's scabbard, and Shinji guided it through the air in a slashing motion. Trilby ducked, releasing his grip on Yamato as he slammed his hands together to form a tiger seal. "Doton: Doryu Taiga!" Trilby muttered, the ground beneath Shinji's feet quickly turning into a river of mud. He slipped, losing his footing from the sudden technique, and began to fall towards Trilby.

Rising from his crouched position to a standing stance, Trilby smashed his shoulders into Shinji's torso, wrapping his right arm around Shinji's hips, and his left around Shinji's neck. Taking his grandfather completely off his feet, Trilby then swung back, sending him flying as he released his grip on his grandfather, who dropped Retribution and flew back a few feet, landing in a pile behind him. Trilby, refusing to rest while the fight was still going, crouched down, dragging Yamato back into his hand before turning, resting the point of the blade against Shinji's throat. "I win."

-----

A few hours later...

Trilby and Shinji walked along the streets of Sunagakure. It had been a few hours since Trilby had finally defeated Shinji in combat. He was certainly growing as a warrior. Hell, he had used a technique he had never perfected in combat against Shinji and it handed him the victory. "So your eye is really based off that research I gave you?" Shinji asked curiously. "Of course it is. Well, with my own flare, of course. How else do you think I can see through a prosthetic fucking ey-" The sound of shattering glass caught their attention, breaking Trilby's concentration. Looking in the direction of the sound, Trilby saw... Gin's house?! "SHINJI! COME!" Trilby barked, dropping the burrito he was holding and leaping onto the nearby rooftops, quickly followed by his grandfather. They quickly leapt their way up onto Gin's home's balcony, Trilby quickly unlocking the seal keeping the door shut with a quick tap. Trilby and Shinji stormed into the building, blades drawn, shoulder to shoulder. Whoever was fucking with Gin was going to die.

Gin and Hana stood in the room together, with a broken mirror at Gin's back. Shinji stepped forward aggressively before Trilby wrapped a hand around his shoulder, dragging him back as he sheathed Yamato. "Next time you plan on shattering a mirror please do it when i'm not close enough to worry." Trilby snarled, turning towards Shinji. "Right, lets get this over with. Gin, this is my grandfather, Shinji. Shinji, Gin." Trilby marched between Gin and Hana, making his way into his room. Trilby had been staying with Gin since her discharge from the hospital, acting as a bodyguard of sorts. As such, he'd been sleeping in her spare bedroom. "So you're the girl my boy is smitten over." Shinji said with a smirk. "HEY! None of that or i'll beat your ass again." "1-20 still puts you as the loser, boy."

Gin kept her eyes fixed on her mother. The amount of tension between the two women was absurd. Gin stared at her mother. Her posture was tense, as if waiting for some sort of attack. It was absurd, really. Gin's mother had no training as a shinobi. She was a mere civilian, a merchant that had travelled across the continent selling goods - mostly textiles, though they did forge a couple of weapons along the way. Hana hadn't received a single day's worth of training her entire life. And yet still, the young Kazekage's instincts were telling her to keep her guard up, telling her that she should be ready for some sort of assault. She carried both Soul Cutter and Sabaku no Bara by her side. "Like what?" Gin pressed the woman again. In response, Hana only returned the young Kazekage's glare.

Neither of the two moved a single inch. They refused to even blink. Gin had forgotten where she had gotten her pride from. Standing before the woman, she could clearly see it now. Both were quite relentless. Neither would give the answers that the other was looking for, not without the other giving in first. And as if that would ever happen. Gin placed her hand on Sabaku no Bara - the sword that Trilby had given her only a couple of weeks ago. She didn't know why, but something told her that if she tried to start a fight, Hana would be able to easily hold her own. She didn't quite know why. It was a small thought, whispering, running through her head. Her bloody palm closer around the hilt of the sword, staining it slightly. Gin's hand flinched before her grip became tighter. Her hand stung. She was sure that she could feel small pieces of glass burying themselves into her skin. But that didn't matter. If there was anything that Gin had grown used to lately, it was pain. The feeling had been present with her ever since her fight with Jurou, ever since she had been covered in third degree burns that had later gotten her landed into the hospital twice for infections. And then there was the recent event that she would rather not let her thoughts gravitate towards.

Just as Gin was about to draw her sword from its scabbard, just as a fight was about to break out between the two women, Trilby and another man burst through the door. Gin's posture relaxed and so did Hana's. The young Kazekage slid her half drawn blade into its scabbard and sighed loudly. She wasn't up for this, not now. She usually found Trilby's paranoia and subsequent anger to be endearing, but that was usually when she was in a good mood. "Calm down. Do I need to remind you of the fact that I can take care of myself?" She asked. The young woman sounded annoyed, to say the least. She didn't even turn to look at Trilby. She bowed slightly towards his grandfather. That was the only trace of politeness that she would show. "It's a pleasure to meet you," She said. Her tone of voice sounded dead and tired. "I assure you, the feeling is mutual," She said before the two began bickering.

Gin turned around to look at Hana. She wanted to introduce her mother to Trilby's grandfather. She might as well return the courtesy before she decided to leave the room and the mansion itself. However, the woman was gone. Gin dismissed it, assuming that her mother had just slipped past them and towards the door. Again, Gin sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She still wasn't used to the fact that it no longer reached her ankles. She walked over to the bathroom counter and grabbed a towel in her hand. She wiped away the blood in her hand and tore a piece of the towel. She wrapped it around her hand - which she hadn't bothered to disinfect, nor had she plucked out the pieces of broken glass from her skin. That would do for now. Again, she didn't mind the pain. In fact, it helped keept her mind off of things that she would rather forget. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go," She said. She didn't specify where she was going. She didn't feel the need to.

The young Kazekage needed training. She needed to get herself back to full strength, lest she end up making Sunagakure look weak. Without another word, she stepped out of the room. She would make her way down the streets of Sunagakure, exiting the building that she now called her home. The weather was nice, as it always was in Sunagakure. There were never clouds in the sky, it hardly ever rained. Gin shaded her face from the sun using her hand. She looked towards the distance, locating the place where she wanted to go: The Kazekage's Peak. It was a place that she knew would be private. She was the only one who had access to it, after all. She looked back for a moment, half expecting Trilby to have followed her out of the building and onto the streets.

Trilby's new room wasn't anything particularly fancy. He was living in what was essentially a broom closet. There was barely any room to move in this prison cell like room, yet he made due. It was a tiny, rectangle shaped room with a dark blue futon bed covering half of it's total space. The rest of the room was filled with bits and pieces Trilby had managed to force in from his old apartment. There was a mannequin of Trilby's build shoved in the corner, with padding to hold plates of armour. Next to it was a large set of thick oak drawers, which were stuffed full of clothes and notes he had sprawled. On top of the drawers sat a modified sword stand to hold his Yamato and Ryujin, and a large brass gong. The rest of the room was littered with various books and scrolls, a telltale sign of his neurotic compulsion to acquire as much knowledge as he could.

Pulling open the top drawer, Trilby pulled out a small bottle of sake, pulling the cork from it's top and taking a deep swig before recapping it, dropping it back into the draw and slamming the drawer shut. The gong on the top of the set of drawers rocked back as the drawer slammed shut, smashing into the sword stand. It let out a loud ringing noise, which rapidly reverberated through the tiny room, growing into a loud shriek that deafened Trilby, causing him to drop down and clutch his ears. After a few seconds, the sound slowly faded, but it still took awhile for the ringing in his head to stop. It was an incredibly debilitating accident, though it gave him an idea. If that noise could be replicated, it would be a crippling trick to whip out in combat. If it were half as debilitating as the noise he just created on accident it would give him a dramatic advantage. Still, he'd need some way to do it without blowing his own ears out in the process.

He'd need a catalyst for this technique if it had any hope of working. It had to be something he could trigger quickly to catch someone off guard, like a chap or a whistle. Or a snap of the fingers! It would be easy for him to flow chakra to the knuckles of his thumb and middle finger, snap them together to create the spark of sound, and then use the chakra to amplify it's potency into an eardrum shattering scream. Still, that could backfire and deafen him without some form of protection. He'd need to coat his eardrums in a thick layer of chakra to keep the sound out. Still, such a practice would be an easy thing for a Shinobi of his caliber to perform. The protection was the simple part, it was the noise itself that would be hard. Raising his left hand, Trilby rested his thumb against the tip of his middle finger. He might as well test it out. Hell, it was all fine in theory, but it was useless until it was proven to have a practical application.

Clink. Trilby's thumb snapped off his middle finger. As it did so, he released the chakra held in their tips at the exact point of impact. Although the chakra flowing to his ears protected Trilby from hearing anything for a few seconds, he could tell it worked by the newly acquired cracks in the small window lighting his room. It seemed he really was living up to the title of genius lately, given how many new techniques he had mastered lately. It was almost second nature to him at this point. Still, that was part of being a fuuinjutsu master, his mind and chakra control was so crisp, so precise that he could master almost anything he set his mind to.

Coming out of his room, Trilby saw the only person actually there was Shinji. Both Gin and her mother had vanished. "Where is everyone?" Trilby asked Shinji, confused. He hadn't been in there for that long, surely? "Gin just left. She seemed upset." Of course she did. She wasn't exactly handling phasing back into society well, and it was clear she'd just had a fight with her mother. Fantastic. Although she was a bit girl, and they weren't in a relationship or anything, Trilby still felt it was his duty to look after her. Hell, that was why he'd moved in, to act as official bodyguard. Even if she was fine emotionally, which she clearly wasn't, the enemies of Sunagakure would see her current weakness as a perfect chance for assassination.

It didn't take Trilby long to catch up to Gin, as he took to the rooftops. To be honest, he hated walking among the general population anyway. he used to enjoy it, all the hustle and bustle, the feeling of life swarming around him in a giant cloud of shared experience, yet lately all he saw was a swarm of ignorance and greed, and a place for an assassin to catch you off guard by wearing the people around him like a shroud. Besides, he didn't exactly want to make it obvious that he was following her, especially since she wasn't in a very good mood, but she knew as well as he did that she shouldn't be on her own. Besides, he had grown fond of spending time with her, even if she was hostile and abrasive most of the time. Still, he had no idea where she was headed, so it would certainly be interesting to find out where she was sneaking off to. A secret training area, perhaps?

Gin stood in place for a moment and frowned. She was half-expecting Trilby to trail behind her and follow her towards where she was going. Well, apparently she had overestimated the extent to which he cared for her wellbeing. She sighed in frustration and gritted her teeth. She should have known by now that nothing good ever came from trusting men - or from trusting anyone for that matter. Humans were fickle beings that sought only the things that could benefit themselves, things that could raise their standards of living, things that could give them more influence and power. And yet she had decided to dedicate her entire life to protecting such beings. She didn't understand that decision herself. At times she didn't even know why she wanted to protect Sunagakure so wholeheartedly. After all, the people in the village often looked at her with disrespect and disdain. This was particularly true for the elders, though she didn't quite care about them. In fact, she hardly cared for opinions; she let her people do whatever they wanted as long as it didn't put the village in danger. But why should she protect people who appreciated her so little? She looked at the faces of each villager as she walked down the streets of Sunagakure, towards her initial destination.

Gin's eyes narrowed. Most of them smiled and gave her some form of greeting or acknowledgement. But how many of them were lying? How many of them were just putting up a facade? How many of them would turn around the second afterwards, mumbling some deprecating comment about the Kazekage? Gin's heart was hammering against her chest. She knew she was being paranoid. She knew that she was greatly exaggerating the situation. But she couldn't help it. After everything that had happened over the past few months, her psyche had been fractures - possibly beyond any form of repair. As she walked, she could feel herself trembling. She could feel her eyes growing wide as anger and paranoia took over her. She stumbled into an empty alley, trying to calm herself down by keeping herself out of the general public. The young Kazekage took several deep breaths. She pressed her hands to her head, trying to make sense of her emotions, trying to control them. But all she could feel was an overwhelming sense of hatred. One of her hands went to the sword that hung by her side - Soul Cutter, one of the swords of legend. Would it really be so bad to let her emotions take over? To let loose of the firm control that she had over herself?

Visions of what would happen flooded her mind. The entire village was burning, people screamed as she laughed wickedly, slicing down whoever came into view. Men, women, children, she would not discriminate. She would slaughter everyone until she herself lay dead. She needed to calm down. She needed to stop herself from committing such atrocities. She needed to clear her mind. She needed training, yes, that was what she needed. She had to use her strength for something else, something productive. She would get rid of all of these emotions by simply letting go of them in a controlled environment. She ran. She didn't care about the confused stares that she received as she did. She just needed to get out of there, to get out of sight of the general public. As she was now, she was a hazard to anyone that came near her. Gin managed to get past the main streets quickly enough. She was breathing heavily, but she didn't stop. She let her feet carry her to the base of the mountain - the Kazekage's Peak, her own personal retreat. She was still panting when she got there. but at least there weren't any people around her now. Hearing her own breath made the younf Kazekage realize how out of shape she really was. But she couldn't dwell on that now. It would only further aggravate her.

Gin coated her hands and feet in a thin veil of chakra. The trail she regularly used to get up the mountain was much too slow. Climbing in a straight line would be quicker. It would also calm her down, even if only a little. She began climbing. Initially, she pulled her weight up using all four limbs, pulling herself upwards on the almost completely vertical slope. But that was much too easy and she needed to get her upper body strength back to its usual form. She let her legs dangle as she pulled herself up using only her arms. After the first hundred meters, she began to feel her muscles getting sore. A thin veil of sweat covered her skin as she made her way to the top. Even though her pace was slow, it was still much faster than walking up the intricate trails that led to her hideout. Time transpired slowly for her, to the point where it almost seemed to stand still. She was lost in the task at hand, so much so that she almost felt as if all of her other feelings had vanished, as if nothing else crossed her mind. She was good at forgetting and repressing. But in the back of her mind, she knew that those momentarily forgotten feelings would come back full force once she had nothing else to occupy her mind. Moral of the story? She had to keep herself busy. So she would keep going and she would keep on pushing herself.

Only about an hour later would she finally reach the peak. Of course, where she was headed to wasn't exactly the top of the mountain, but rather a hidden room in between the rocks of the slope she was climbing. On a steep cliff, covered in jagged rocks, she would place her hand over one of the stones. It responded to her chakra immediately. The stones slowly parted, allowing her to slip into the room within. This space had served countless times as a refuge to the people of Sunagakure in times of peril. Yet it was always wiped off of the records and kept a secret. It was to be used at the Kazekage's discretion. To Gin, it was a training room. The lights inside it responded to her presence, flickering on. The door behind her closed as soon as she stepped foot inside the room. She let out a deep sigh. Now she could get on to her training.

Ever since she was a child, Gin had decided to specialize in wind jutsu. She had been born with the natural ability to use lightning, but she had never dedicated enough training to that element. She hardly ever gave it much thought. But now that she held such a high ranking position, Gin had no choice but to perfect whatever skill would come in handy in the future. She remembered little of the lectures she had received in the Academy about Raiton. She tried to remember, but hardly anything came to mind. Flashbacks, memories of Jurou teaching her how to unlock and utilize Katon came to mind. She distinctly remembered that fire was fueled by anger. If that was so, then the other elements had to have a source from which they came from. Gin took a deep breath. Lightning was energy in its purest of forms. She supposed it could come from nothing else but the energy inside her body. The young Kazekage concentrated. She tried to tap into her own stream of chakra. She tried to feel the energy flowing around her. But of course, she needed something to conduct it through. She drew the sword that Trilby had given her back in the hospital. Truth be told, the pink and flowery design didn't suit her style all that much, but the fact that it came from him made the sword worth using. She smiled briefly, before remembering that he had left her alone to focus on his own priorities. The smile turned into a scowl.

Still, Gin held the sword firmly. She took a deep breath and once again tried to access the chakra stream that flowed in her own body. She tried to pick it apart, telling which part of her possessed each chakra nature. She knew how to access Fuuton effectively. It was the nature that she used primarily, of course. She had just recently learned the fire element, making it so that she could tell it apart since it was fresh in her mind. But Raiton was still metaphorically covered by dust. Gin frowned. This would take a while. Maybe this wasn’t the way she was supposed to train the element. Trying to channel it through the katana probably wasn’t enough. She held herself back from tossing the sword to the other side of the room and settled for placing it back in its sheath. She rubbed her temples and slumped against the wall. The young Kazekage remembered reading about a couple of jutsu in her lifetime, ninjutsu techniques that used Raiton to paralyze the opponent for a decent amount of time. She knew that there was a scroll inside the room that described several old techniques, used over a hundred years ago. She could probably find something useful in there. Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Gin searched the room for a while. The space was littered with old weapons and trinkets that belonged to the Kages of the past. The few scrolls in the room all described techniques in puppetry like those of the Chikamatsu Clan. Others described the intricate use of Sand Release and other typical abilities of Sunagakure. Though they were interesting to brush over, they weren’t what the Kazekage was looking for. Did she have to travel all the way to Kumogakure to find something halfway decent? She groaned, yelled and cursed. She would have no choice but to use her own memory. She had only wasted her time. Wonderful. She sat down on the ground for a while, trying to call to mind what little she remembered. Well, she could always go for creating something from scratch, though the only idea that came to mind was a justu that would send a strong enough electrical shock through her body so that she could be in enough pain to be snapped out of a genjutsu. Verifying whether it worked or not would require someone with at least the basic knowledge of the specialty. At the moment, she was alone and wasn’t quite in the mood to seek out someone with the ability to place her under an illusion. Hell, she would likely end up not so accidentally killing the unlucky bastard. Hell, the only person that she wouldn’t likely kill during a sparring match right now was Trilby, and all he could really use was fuuinjutsu. She didn’t need anything regarding binding techniques at the moment. She needed Raiton training.

Binding… That word struck a chord. She remembered something now, though vaguely. But she supposed it was enough to give it a shot. Thought the technique wasn’t considered fuuinjutsu per se, it had the ability to bind someone in place for a certain amount of time. It could also harm them while holding them in a sort of cage bound by pure lightning. Yes, that could definitely be useful during a fight. Now all she had to remember was what the jutsu centered around. She remembered its name: Lightning Release: Four Pillar Bind. The name itself indicated a few things. It had something to do with creating pillars out of chakra and using them as a means to conduct lightning through them and hold a person in place in a sort of cage like structure. She could work with that much knowledge.

The young Kazekage stood up. She took a deep breath and settled into a basic stance. Her hands moved, molding the chakra inside her body and channeling it through so that she could properly perform the technique. She yelled the name of the jutsu at the top of her lungs. She could feel chakra leaving her body and forming a set of four pillars on the ground in front of her. Lightning coursed through the pillars rapidly, forming the structure of the image that she had in her mind. Gin smirked. Two months in bed and she could still perform a new technique perfectly in the first try, even with very limited knowledge. She hadn’t lost her touch just yet.

Trilby kept to the rooftops, monitoring Gin as she progressed through the streets. At one point, she turned, almost as through she was looking for him, but due to his position above her, she failed to notice his presence. Still, when she realised this, if anything she looked more depressed, and began to drag her feet. Her eyes darted around the crowd with increasing paranoia and fear, as though any one of them were about to assault her. It was clear she wasn't handling her reintegration to society well. Trilby wanted to leap from the rooftops, to land beside her and hug her, to tell her she would be okay and that he'd protect her, always. Still, that wasn't either of their styles. She would get angry and he'd feel like an idiot for being vulnerable in the first place.

Gin broke into a run, beginning to sprint through the street. It caught Trilby completely off-guard. Either she was having a complete emotional breakdown, or she'd seen a potential threat. Either way, Trilby had to cling to her. She couldn't be alone like this. He began to sprint along the roof-tops parallel to her, clinging to Gin closer than her own shadow was. He had to keep her safe. That was his only job in life. He followed her until she reached a mountain path. Unusual. Was she fleeing the village? Had she had too much? Did she want to escape him, escape everything? He couldn't be sure, but he couldn't afford to leave her on her own either. Not when she was like this. So, begrudgingly, Trilby began to follow her up the path, keeping a fair distance between them. Gin didn't notice his presence, though he wasn't being particularly stealthy. It was almost like she wanted to be followed.

Her hands bathed in chakra, Gin began to climb the mountainside, scaling the cliff face gradually. Hmm. Was she trying to reach somewhere, or was she simply training? Either way, he had to follow her. She was physically weak and might fall, and he couldn't leave her alone like this. He could never leave her alone. Coating his own feet with chakra, Trilby began to casually walk up the path behind her. His chakra control was always more precise than hers, given his years of fuuinjutsu practice, and her recent hospital time left her rusty. Still, he intentionally lingered behind her, giving her the distance needed to make his presence less obvious. It took Gin an hour to reach the peak. Admittedly, Trilby could have done it in half that time, casually. Still, at least they made it without her losing her grip and him having to catch her.

It seemed it wasn't a training hike. Once she reached her destination, she made her way to a hidden crevice in the rocks. As she touched a button or a switch or used a key, Trilby had no idea, he didn't see what she did, the stone began to part, and she slipped inside a room. Trilby darted up behind her, sliding in just before the door shut. It seemed to be a large training hall, with various artifacts and relics on the walls. Still, he couldn't get caught, not yet. Trilby made his way behind a nearby statue, and pressed himself down against it's surface, listening to the noises of her training in the background for what seemed like an hour as he slowly drifted off, his jaw hanging open and his throat beginning to let out loud grinding snores. If only he had been conscious he'd have realized that's going to give away his position...

As she finished the jutsu, Gin went back to leaning against the wall. She sighed. She was still trying to keep her mind blank. She took a deep breath and reached into her item's punch. She always kept a box of cigarettes in there. The habit of smoking had replaced that of drinking ever since she had stopped consuming copious amounts of alcohol. She supposed her liver needed the break, so might as well move on to her lungs. She knew that she shouldn't care about such things anyways. People in her position hardly ever lived past their thirties, meaning that she wouldn't likely live long enough to contract some sort of deadly disease from smoking or drinking. No, she would probably die at the hands of someone stronger than she was. Sometimes she couldn't help but wonder who that person was or if she had already met him or her yet. Life had strange ways of working its wonders. Hell, for all she knew, Chie might be the one to kill her when she grew up. Gin breathed in the smoke coming from the cigarette that she held between her fingers. Dying at the hands of someone she loved didn't seem so bad. To most people it would be a catastrophe, but to Gin it would just mean that her child had managed to surpass her. It wasn't a bad thought to die with.

The young Kazekage was snapped out of her trains of thought by a strange noise coming from the other end of the room. She tensed instantly. She didn't want to be near anyone right now. Not only that, but she was the only person that knew that this place even existed. It made sense for her to be wary of her surroundings. The noise sounded as if something were rumbling. She dropped the cigarette and put it our underneath the heel of her foot. She didn't make an effort to be silent. Quite frankly, she couldn't be bothered. She simply walked towards the source of the noise with her hand closed firmly around Soul Cutter's hilt. Her eyes narrowed once she pinned down where the noise was coming from. Once she saw who it was that was currently producing the noise, she didn't quite know how to react. Half of her felt like kicking him while the other half felt like leaving him there to sleep. He looked peaceful. She sighed, restraining her impulse to hurt him. She settled for shaking his shoulder and sighing. She would then slump against the wall and sit next to him. While she was at it, she would light another cigarette. She wouldn't say anything, not for a while at least. "How long have you been following me?" She asked without bothering to turn around to look at him. Her expression was blanked as she inhaled the smoke and kept her eyes fixed on the opposite side of the wall. She kept herself calm and to do so, toned down whatever feelings she had to the point where they were practically suppressed.

A soft touch laid on Trilby's shoulder, rousing him from his sleep. He woke up rather satiated from his nap, but quickly realised the situation he was in. Still, she had grabbed his shoulder rather than kicking him, so she clearly wasn't that mad. She wasn't the kind of person who would hide her feelings by acting sweet when she was actually annoyed. Gin came to rest against the wall next to him, drawing a cigarette. Before she could strike it, Trilby's hand glided to his right pocket, withdrawing a black lighter with a red ouroboros carved into the side. Trilby knocked open the dark black cap and struck the flint, holding the newly formed flame under Gin's cigarette. "How long have you been following me?" Gin asked, cold and emotionless. Trilby waited until she had taken a drag of her smoke before taking it from her fingers and taking a heavy drag himself, coughing as the smoke flooded his lungs before handing it back to her.

"Since the start. You knew I would be, anyway. You kept looking for me. You were clearly upset. I couldn't leave you alone when you need me. I care about you, dumbass." As he finished his sentence, Trilby dragged himself back to his feet, flexing his shoulder blades to free the claws of the Ryujin from the surface of his skin. Sleeping against them had left him with an awful imprint.

Gin kept her back against the wall. She pressed the butt to her lips and left it there for the time being. She looked at Trilby from the corner of her eye for a very brief moment while he lit the little cancer stick. She didn't know that he had picked up smoking. Maybe, like her, he was under a great deal of stress. The habit was an easy way of coping. She shrugged it off, making a mental note toask him about it later. For now, she then would turn her gaze to the wall on the opposite side of the room. Her stare was blank, mostly void of emotion. her eyes were seemingly empty, repressing all of the turmoil that dwelled inside her thoughts. It was better that way, hiding these things and avoiding them completely allowed her to maintain at least a sliver of control over herself. She couldn't let herself lose control. She couldn't face the pain. So she would rather try to forget it all and keep herself void of all emotion for now. For now, all she had to do was train. She needed to make herself stronger. She needed to be able to defend her village and her people. That would keep her going. As for her emotional state? Well, time would heal it all. Time healed it all.

In the meantime, her physical strength needed work. Her cheeks were sunken in from all the weight she had lost over the course of the past few months. She had large bags under her eyes from the lack of sleep. She found herself tossing and turning evey night, unable to rest for more than a few hours at a time. And even then it was tormenting. She was exhausted, but she knew that she couldn't afford to let that get in her way. She breathed a heavy sigh as she finally took the cigarette out of her mouth and put it out against the floor beside her as she listened to Trilby speak. She smirked, not knowing exactly what part of hat he said had make a half-smile cross her face. It was probably the fact that despite the fact that he claimed to know so much about her thought process and yet he still kept his distance as he claimed that he was there to support her. She found irony in it.

However, the expression soon faded as he stated that he cared for her. She looked surprised for the briefest of moments. She was taken aback at that, though she soon composed herself. She thought of a couple of responses, all of them prideful and arrogant. None of them let her show her feelings as they were. There was a moment of silence between the two. Gin stood up as Trilby did. She stared at his back for a moment before deciding to let her impulses take over. She wrapped her arms around him, pressing herself to his back. She held him, pressing her ear to his back and sighing softly. "I care about you as well," She managed to say, though she sounded like she was struggling to say the words. In truth, she was. The last two times that she had been open with her feelings, everything ended badly.

Trilby resisted the urge to flinch as hands began to drape around him, standing there silent as Gin wrapped her arms around his bad, pressing herself against him. "I care about you as well," Gin whispered, a clear tone of frustration in her voice, as though the words were difficult to produce. It made sense to him, however, that they were hard emotions to express. Her previous lover was dead, and she wasn't exactly the most emotionally open person. Granted, neither was Trilby. he had always been rather closed off, emotionally. Still, it was understandable, wasn't it? He wasn't exactly raised in the best circumstances, and the only family he had turned out to be a vile traitor.

Still, if he wanted this to go anywhere, it was clear he had to man up. His past was exactly that, he couldn't let it ruin a good thing. After all, it was clear what he had with Gin was exactly that, a good thing. She was a beautiful, powerful and intelligent woman, and though he had hooked up with a solid number of Sunagakure's female population, he had never really cared about any of them, until now. Even his first time was just a casual hookup who he didn't care about in any emotional context, even though she was admittedly obsessed with him.

"Would you like to grab a drink or something to eat with me sometime?" Trilby asked, rather awkwardly. He had never done this before, and it felt unusual to do so. He expected rejection, anyway. After all, she was clearly having a hard time, and even though she had just declared her mutual feelings for him that didn't mean she wanted to be more than friends. She was still grief struck, after all, and even if she wasn't, she was the leader of the village. Why would she love a nameless slave? It made no sense.

Gin was taken aback by Trilby's proposal. Was he asking her out on a date? She chuckled. She wouldn't have ever guessed that that of all things was crossing his mind. Nevertheless, she smiled. The last time she had been on a date... well, best not go into that. Point is, it had been a while since she had just gone out and had fun withe someone else. With her arms still around Trilby, with her ear still pressed to his back to listed to his heart beating, the young Kazekage nodded. "Only if you make it worth my while," She said, unable to be straightforward and just say yes. She was like that when it came to romance and that sort of thing. Usually, she would go straight to the point, but she found that she rather liked teasing her partner. But of course, they both probably knew that she would end up going out with him. "Make it lame and I'll have you assigned to the most boring and menial task that I can come up with for over a month," She said, finally letting go of the embrace. She knew that with that, she had probably ruined the previous mood altogether. But she needed to, lest she appear too vulnerable forget about her trainign entirely.

Gin stretched her arms over her head, wanting to get back to what she was doing before. She needed the training session to get back to full strength. "Now that you're here," She began as she started warming up byt stretching her limbs. "I might as well put you to good use," She said, placing one hand on the hilt of Sabaku no Bara and drawing it. She admired the weapon for a moment, briefly remembering her time at the hospital. She looked at her own face, reflected in the edge of the blade. She was disgusted, but refused to show it. "Not a bad sword," She began, swinging it lazily a couple of times. "The edge is fine and smooth. The material isn't as durable as some of the other blades I've handles in the past, but it's still quite sharp. Not only that, but the craftsmanship is excellent. The shape is perfect and it conducts chakra quite effectively," She explained. She supposed that this was her way of thanking him for the sword. The young Kazekage smirked. "Which will make it that much greater to kick your ass into the concrete floor with it. What do you say we have a little sparring match while we're here?" She asked, pointing the tip of sword at Trilby. "We can even make it interesting by wagering something. That sound all right?" She proposed. Gin had always loved gambling. She thought she might as well make the fight more exciting by adding her old habits into it.

"Only if you make it worth my while," Gin muttered, her words muffled by her awkward position. She was still lodged between his shoulder blades, listening to his heart beat. Still, it felt nice to be held by her, and Trilby knew that was the closest to a yes he would get out of her. His heart fluttered slightly. He'd never been on a date. He'd fucked countless easy women around Sunagakure, but typically never looked at them or kissed them. It was a hook up, not something he did for emotions. Hell, Gin was the first woman he'd had feelings for, and the first one he'd ever asked out.

"Make it lame and I'll have you assigned to the most boring and menial task that I can come up with for over a month," Trilby sighed upon hearing those words, his shoulders slouching as his good mood crumbled. Of course she'd say something like that. The Ryujin flared, reacting to Trilby's negative emotions, and the wings shot out, smacking Gin in the face. "You wouldn't be you if you didn't ruin the moment with some bitchy comment."

Trilby listened as Gin prattled on about the sword he gave him, refusing to turn to face her. He couldn't bring himself to show her the fact that he was upset. It didn't surprise him that she judged the sword based off it's craftsmanship rather than what it had meant, but he supposed that was her personality. "Which will make it that much greater to kick your ass into the concrete floor with it. What do you say we have a little sparring match while we're here? We can even make it interesting by wagering something. That sound all right?"

At these words, Trilby turned to face her. A wager, huh? Fair enough, too. He might as well get something out of this. His mind drew blank for a moment before he realised that she was an amazingly beautiful woman, and there wasn't much he wanted from her. "Fine. If I win, you blow me. If you win, I'll give you 1000 ryo. Should help you get that stick removed from your ass." The Ryujin flared, and the spines began to open broadly, growing wings. "Hell, if you ask nicely i'll even eat you out. Now, enough chatter, bring it."

And of course Trilby would get upset. Gin sighed. To be honest, she was amused. She never would have guessed that he was the sensitive type. Gin let out a small laugh, just as she dodged the incoming blow from Ryujin, albeit clumsily. She stumbled back a few steps before regaining her composure. "Now, now, we haven't started the fight yet," She said, sounding slightly taunting and teasing. There was a hint of mischief in her eyes. She loved fighting. It was practically her favorite pass time. The thrill and the adrenaline from fighting someone who could very well outmatch her at this point in time was exciting. And the feeling that she would win or lose something made it all that much better. She smirked and approached Trilby. She wrapped her arms loosely around his neck and pressed her lips to his ear. Her breath caressed his skin lightly as she spoke. "So you want me to blow you, huh?" She whispered huskily in his ear. She pressed herself against him intentionally, rubbing her chest lightly against his. She nibbled on his earlobe, moaning into his ear. Of course, this all had a purpose other than, well, seduction.

Once she was sure that he was aroused, she would stop rubbing herself against him. She would abruptly push herself off of him and she would start laughing to the point where she was holding her sides. She wanted to distract him, give herself a bit of an advantage over him. It was just another little way of taunting him. Once she would calm down, Gin would finally get into a stance. "You'll get what you want only if you win. If not, I get my money and... hm... let's see... You'll cross dress wearing one of my outfits and you'll stand in the market for half a day," She said with a wide smile. hell, if he wanted her dignity, she might as well ask for the same, though truth be told she had no problem blowing him. She would probably enjoy it, though she wouldn't say it out loud. "Now on with the show, shall we?" She said, placing her hand on her katana.

She might as well get started. "Temporary Paralysis Technique!" She yelled. Invisible ropes of steel would appear from thin air, aiming to wrap themselves around Trilby's limbs in order to immobilize him. She would waste no time between techniques. "Heaven Style: Flash of Light!" She yelled, extending her blade towards him. There was a blinding flash, aimed to temporarily take away his sight. But before she continued with the technique and aimed to stab through his shoulder, Gin would moved her hands quickly, forming several handsigns. "Wind Style: Spiraling Wind Ball!" She said, shooting off five spheres of wind, one after the other. They were aimed at different parts of his body, two at his torso, the other three at his legs in order to impair his movement. To finish it off, she continued with her previous jutsu, running towards him and aiming to stab his left shoulder. Whether or not she succeeded, she would retreat momentarily. "Wind Style: Solid Air" She said, jumping up to gain high ground. It was mostly a preventative measure, knowing that he used Doton. She would stare at him from above, just waiting. She looked confident, cocky, even. She stood at the maximum height above the ground that she could. She was wary, knowing full well what Trilby was capable of. But that only made the whole ordeal even more thrilling. As she was up there, she briefly considered losing on purpose just so that she could have an excuse to go directly into sexual contact. But then again, she was much too prideful. She would probably never hear the end of it if she lost. A Kage, beaten by a Sannin? She wouldn't let that happen, not even if she was just barely recovering.

Gin stepped forward slowly towards Trilby, the tip of her tongue barely visible through her otherwise clenched lips. There was a sort of cheeky cunning in her smile. Was she excited by the proposition of being intimate with him? He hoped so. Still, she kept coming close and closer until their chests were touching. Trilby's heart began to race at being this close to Gin. His stomach churned, and his soul was ablaze. Was something going to happen?! She softly wrapped her around loosely around his neck, lifting up onto the tips of her toes to reach his ear. "So you want me to blow you, huh?" Gin whispered huskily into his ear. He could feel the heat of her breath on his neck as she spoke. When she finished her sentence, Trilby's heart stopped for what felt like an eternity before that next beat hit him and his life began again. He wanted nothing more than to make love to her. He'd fucked countless women, but he'd never once wanted to make love. What was it about her that drove him to be so fucking sensitive? He had had so many attractive women but none had stopped his heart like this.

The space between them closed more, her breasts began to rub up against his pecks as she nibbled softly on his ear. Trilby tried his best to remain stoic, but he couldn't help but let out a small pleasure moan as she whimpered in his ear. As he moaned, she began to pull back slightly, but he refused to let her. Trilby dropped down suddenly, grabbing her ass with his left hand and her left thigh with his right. He sunk his teeth into her neck slowly as he dragged her off the ground, her legs wrapping impulsively around him for support as she lost her footing. He walked forward as he bit her neck, slamming her back against the wall. His hard bulge was grinding against her crotch through his pants, his excitement overflowing. He broke the contact with her neck, only to shove his tongue down her throat. His right hand slid from her thigh to his crotch, beginning to unzip his fly slow-

Gin's hand stopped him from unzipping his member, a soft, cheeky giggle escaping her lips as she dropped to her feet and pushed Trilby off her, only to walk back to where she was previously standing. It was clear he was more turned on than he had ever been in his entire life, but it seems that was what she wanted. It was a fucking head game the entire time! She was trying to get an advantage over him in the fight. STUPID, STUPID STUPID! Trilby had genuinely believed she felt the same way about him. It was those thoughts of her caring about him the way he did about her that got him so fucking excited. What an idiot. Of course she didn't love him, she just cared about her advantage in combat. "You'll get what you want only if you win. If not, I get my money and... hm... let's see... You'll cross dress wearing one of my outfits and you'll stand in the market for half a day," Trilby turned once she finished her statement, her mind clearly solely on the task at hand. Of course she didn't get turned on by being so intimate with him. Why would she.

His face was flushed red, and his bulge was still clearly showing. Locking eyes with her, his expression was a mixture of disappointment, lust and shame. "Fine by me." he groaned, clearly annoyed. If she didn't care about him he'd just have to unleash his years of frustration and anger onto her and make her blow him. God he wanted to be inside of her so badly. Just thinking about it made him throb. No. He had to get his mind in the game. "Now on with the show, shall we?" Gin said confidently, placing her hand on her katana.

Trilby's mind went blank. He knew what he had to do. He would beat her so fucking badly that she couldn't deny him his prize. He would fuck her face until he was satisfied. He'd come inside her again and again until he couldn't any more and there was no way in hell he would deny her. She would pay for playing with his emotions. As soon as she finished saying "shall we?" Trilby's hands slammed together, rapidly forming the Dog, Boar and Bird seals. "Doton: Doryuusou no Jutsu!" he declared boldly, the ground at Gin's feet rapidly rising into a series of sharp spikes that would lunge at pace towards her, attempting to pierce her flesh. At the same time, she spoke a counter-technique. "Temporary Paral-" Trilby didn't need to hear the entire technique to know what it was. He was an experienced shinobi, he knew of this technique. It was a common binding spell. Still, the most effective way to deal with it was simply to avoid being in it's grasp. His eyes twitched quickly to the statue he had been hiding behind earlier. It was a figure of a man on a large base, but it was clear the statue itself could be moved. A perfect object to use for Kawarimi no Jutsu. Blinking over to the object in an instant, Trilby swapped himself with the statue, creating the class Kawarimi illusion. It appeared as though he hadn't moved, that he had been caught by the chains and collapsed to his feet, when in fact he was standing on the now empty podium, ready to strike.

"Danza del Fuego!" Trilby muttered, almost soundlessly to himself. The Ryujin's wings shot back, and the Quivers began to burn bright red. Ten handles produced from either quiver, each giving off a dull glow. Trilby reached up, taking two blades between each of the gaps between his fingers, sixteen in total, and tossed them simultaneously towards Gin. As the blades approach, Trilby would clap his hands, causing them to explode. Even at a decent distance, that many exploding at once would cloud her vision, and cause burns if she was within range. Out of the plume of dust he generated, five spheres of wind shot towards him. Wind Style: spiralling Wind Balls. He had encountered these before. They were targeted fairly simply, three at his legs, two at his torso. Grasping his left hand on Yamato, Trilby leapt into the air, turning the blade flat as he rose. As the first three balls were heading for his legs, the leaping helped him avoid them, but he still had the torso spheres to deal with. Dragging the flat of Yamato across in-front of him, Trilby spun on the balls of his feet, dragging the blunt of the blade across the spheres. The first sphere dissipated on impact, breaking the rotation and causing Trilby to grind to almost a complete stop in his spin. The second sphere hit near the tsuba, causing the blade to twist in his hands and tear out of his grip.

"Balls!" Trilby declared in frustration, watching as the blade fell from his grip, landing on the floor beneath his pillar. Still, he had the Ryujin, he didn't need it. Looking up, he saw Gin was hovering mid-air. That damned platform technique. Spreading the wings, Trilby began to float into the air. Reaching his hands back as best he could, he hooked his hands back into the ryujin, drawing the last four Explosive blades, two in each of his hands. Tossing them at Gin with disregard, aiming them directly towards Gin's head.

Gin managed to effectively dodge the spikes that were coming out of the ground, simply contorting her body around them and side stepping to avoid getting injured by Trilby's jutsu. But her mind wasn't really in the fight. She executed her techniques flawlessly, but she wasn't concentrating properly. That kiss, the feeling of Trilby's body wrapped around hers... It invaded her mind with desire to the point where she had lost complete interest in both the fight and the prospect of training. She wanted Trilby quite badly. She bit her lower lip absentmindedly, looking at him from where she was standing. She wanted nothing more than to stop fighting, to claim him as hers. The young woman cuoldn't exaclty define what she was feeling, or rather, she didn't want to, not without knowing how he felt first. But deep down inside, she knew that she had fallen in love with Trilby a long time ago.

The young Kazekage kept on dodging his attacks with both skill and grace. It had become an instinct to dodge, one that she was awakening once again after her time in the hospital. She could see the erection hidden beneath Trilby's clothing and grinned. She was glad that she had such an effect on him. Truth be told, she was in the exact same state, even though she covered it p with coyness and bravado. The difference was that hers wasn't as obvious as his. She was flustered, though. It was somewhat obvious from the way her facial expression contorted as she saw the man, who now stood several meters below her. She saw his weapon flare up and braced herself for an attack. Or maybe she should just... yes. That's what she would do.

With a swift motion of her wrist, she returned the blade Trilby had given her to its sheath. She dodged most of the blows once again, but let one of the blades graze the skin on her left hand. She let herself drop to the ground and sighed dramatically. She looked at the wound and pretended to be disappointed. She took several steps, closing the distance between Trilby and herself. "Looks like I lost," She whispered in his ear, wrapping her arms tightly around his lower waist. She resumed the position she had before, rubbing herself against him. She teased him, slipping her fingers into the edge of his pants, but not really wanting to do anything just yet. She locked eyes with him and smiled before nuzzling her head in the crook of his neck. She massaged his lower back with the tips of her fingers, rubbing circles into his tense muscles. She kissed his neck lightly and repeatedly before grazing her teeth lightly against his skin.

Trilby was admittedly dumbfounded when one of the blows landed what was quite frankly the lightest graze he had ever seen in his life, yet Gin dropped to the ground regardless. She let out a deep, overly dramatic sigh, and wore a façade of pure disappointment. She began to close the distance between them, still looking upset as she did so until she reached him. Once she stood before Trilby, she wrapped his arms around his waist, pulling herself in close. "Looks like I lost" she whispered in his ear, huskily. A grin of pure bliss broke out over Trilby's face at those words. She had lost on purpose! If he were feeling himself, he would take it slow with her, but he simply couldn't. He was so angry over his previous teasing, so frustrated over her taunting that he simply couldn't wait any longer.
