- Recover the Heirloom:
- Mission name: Recover the Heirloom
Mission rank: C.
Objective: A wealthy woman’s heirloom has been stolen, it must be recovered at once.
Location: Konohagakure
Reward: 300 Ryo
Repeatable: ✓
Mission Description: A wealthy woman’s prized family heirloom has gone missing following a gala she hosted. An expensive necklace, of fine gold inset with many gemstones, it is worth a small fortune and would make an easy sell on the black market. Her household guards have kept his dinner guests from leaving, so the thief should still be among them. A request has been sent to the village administration, and shinobi are dispatched to investigate and find the true culprit.
Mission Details: One of the following scenarios will occur during the mission, it is up to the taker(s) to decide which occurs. If repeating the mission, choose a different scenario than the previous attempt.- The Butler. The woman’s faithful butler of twenty years was the thief. Outraged at how little he will be compensated in his retirement for dutifully serving his mistress, he plotted to steal the most valuable of her possessions. When confronted the Butler will shout venomous insults at his mistress, but otherwise make no efforts to resist arrest.
- The Lover. The woman’s lover appears as a middle aged gentleman that is the spitting image of manners, sophistication, and charm. Once discovered he will reveal it was all a deception, he is in fact a jewel thief wanted in several cities, who preys on unmarried older women before robbing them blind. The Lover will attempt to flee, and is fast for his age, but only has D-1 Speed and negligible other stats.
- The Son. The woman’s son is an impulsive, spiteful, bitter man who has spent most of his adult life scheming to find ways to get a larger inheritance. Fed up with waiting for his ‘rightful’ wealth, he instead opted to steal his mother’s heirloom with plans to sell it for an easy profit. When confronted the Son will attack the shinobi, he has D-1 strength and speed, and a D Rank knife he kept hidden in his jacket. Once disarmed or injured he will beg for his life.
- The Neighbor. The woman’s neighbor is a bitter woman, who carries a huge chip on her shoulders. She blames the woman for ruining her own marriage with ruins of her infidelity. As a result she stole her rival’s priceless heirloom in an attempt to ruin her life as she ruined hers. When confronted she will reveal many scathing truths, and hysterically try to paint herself as the real victim here. Otherwise she will make no effort to resist arrest.
- The Cat. The woman’s cat is a large, exceptionally fluff white cat that seemingly hates everyone. While pretty to look at, it is a greedy little beast that is pure malice made flesh. The cat knocked the heirloom off a dresser drawer, and deciding it liked the shiny object hid it somewhere in the manor were a cat would likely hide. When confronted the cat will act indignant, before walking away. The woman will be relieved, but furious with her cat and apologize profusely for ever accusing her guests.

- Murder She Wrote:
- Mission name: Murder She Wrote
Mission rank: C.
Objective: A serial killer is on the loose, and must be stopped at immediately.
Location: Konohagakure
Reward: 300 Ryo
Repeatable: ✗
Mission Description: A string of recent murders has left the Konohagakure Military Police baffled, unable to track the culprit or find any clues towards a lead. The victims seemingly have no shared characteristics, other than that they are all female, between the ages 18 and 25. The murderer is meticulous at cover his tracks, and has eluded justice for weeks. At the end of his rope, the Military Police Director has requested the Hokage dispatch additional shinobi to assist in the manhunt.
Mission Details: The killer only attacks at night, and only during rainstorms. Otherwise he lays low, content only to scout out future targets and keep up his public persona. The killer is a man in his late twenties to early thirties, unassuming and otherwise normal to the naked eye. He is a non-shinobi who was practicing to become a surgeon, and had a promising career ahead of him before he mysteriously dropped out of his schooling. The man’s hideout is a cottage just outside the village walls in the neighboring forests, he slowly seduces his victims over several weeks before inviting them to his cottage for a romantic evening and then killing them. Upon finding his location, there is a basement that serves as his butcher shop. Here he dissects the bodies, storing the parts he needs in a freezer and grinding up the rest to bury in the woods. The killer will reveal his fiance died of an unknown disease, and all this time he has been trying to bring her back. His first step was to recreate her body using the body parts of those he killed, and he has a semi-finished facsimile of her in a special freezer. He is too far gone in his delusions to explain his next steps in the process. When caught, the killer will attack with surgical tools or butcher’s knives, but has only average physical ability for a man his height an build.

- Undercover:
- Mission name: Undercover
Mission rank: C.
Objective: It is believed a drug cartel is operated within the village, and must be rooted out.
Location: Konohagakure
Reward: 300 Ryo
Repeatable: ✗
Mission Description: The amount of crime in the poorer parts of the village is on the rise, and it is believed to be linked to a rise in drug trafficking. Unfortunately, arresting dealers is akin to cutting the heads off a hydra. For every one taken down two more seem to crop up. Instead, shinobi are needed to infiltrate the ranks of the drug trade, finding where they get their supply and taking down their operation in one fell swoop.
Mission Details: The shinobi will pose as lower class thugs, eager to get in on the ground floor and make some easy money peddling drugs. To do so they must approach a dealer, becoming friendly with him until the point he will vouch for them to his superiors. Once in they will assist in nightly drug exchanges, until they are confident enough that the dealers trust them. Being quite capable at their job, the Shinobi will then attempt to gain trust with the dealers’ lieutenant, eventually convincing him they would be more useful to the gang if they were further up the chain. At this point, they make arrangements to meet with the gang’s higher ups at their headquarters. Once this occurs the shinobi is free to act accordingly, so long as the leadership is killed or arrested, and that their operations are terminated. The headquarters will be teaming with low rank thugs, these men will be armed with D-Rank weapons and have D-Rank stats. The leaders will be little better, with D-3 stats and C rank weapons. None are able to use chakra or jutsu.

- Unbearable:
- Mission name: Unbearable
Mission rank: C.
Objective: A massive bear is running amok, it must be killed or captured immediately.
Location: Hi no Kuni
Reward: 300 Ryo
Repeatable: ✗
Mission Description: Several hunters have been killed in recent days, torn limb from limb by a massive animal they have come to fear. Tracks indicate it is a bear, but far larger than any ordinary bear should be. They fear the forests are no longer save, and beg for the village to send shinobi to kill this terrifying beast.
Mission Details: The bear is unnaturally smart for a supposedly mundane animal. It is intelligent enough to employ basic levels of stealth, such as hiding its tracks, trying to mask its scent, and hiding when need be. It emerges to hunt exclusively at night, preying on deer and whatever else gets in its way. It kills for sport, as evidenced by herds of slain animals when only one or two are devoured. The bear lives in a large cave high the mountains, part of an old system of mining tunnel it uses to move around its territory largely unseen. When confronted the bear shows no fear, stands 5m tall on its hind legs, and weighs 2,000kg. It has B-3 Strength, B-1 Endurance, but only C-1 Speed, Dexterity, and Perception. The bear can survive injuries that should kill a creature its size, and displays an unnatural level of regeneration assisted by chakra. Once finally slain or captured, a hideout can be found in the back of its den. Within are skeletal remains of a human, a number of damaged medical machinery, and a large cage that has been visibly ripped open. Dental records on the skull align with those of a missing-nin wanted for amoral experimentation in medical ninjutsu.

Mission rank: C.
Objective: A pirate ship terrorizes the Bay of Fire, and her crew must be killed or captured,
Location: Hi no Kuni (Bay of Fire)
Reward: 300 Ryo
Repeatable: ✗
Mission Description: Merchant ships have repeatedly fallen prey to a vessel styling itself as the Sea Scythe. The ominous vessel has quickly earned a fearsome reputation, and local naval authorities have been so far powerless to stop it. Mission Details: After traveling to a major port city along the Bay of Fire, the shinobi will meet with local authorities who have put together a ship and crew in an endeavour to hunt down the Sea Scythe. Most have D-Rank stats and weapons, though there are exceptions. The captain and his first mate are much more dangerous, with C-2 Stats and weapons, and capable of using explosive bombs equal in damage to C-Rank Fire Release techniques. The crew will fight until half their ranks are killed, or their captain is slain.
