Aikiko dressed for battle when she left in the morning, currently she was making her way through the genin that had risen up in this new guard. Aikiko had a list one name was already crossed off, that of Sasaki Kyousuke. There were many names on her list and she planned to humiliate every last one in single combat. Her way was one of cruelty and ambition, Aikiko's savagery would propel her to new heights. Aikiko aimed to establish her clan at the top once again signaling first to her village and then to the world that the Uchiha were back.  A memo had been placed in Kumo's training grounds pinned to a post. It had a simple message, 'Looking to get into a fight at the Gold & Silver Pond!'  The paper had been split into a few different section as someone had made slits on the bottom 1/4 of the page so that there were now multiple tabs. Some of the tabs were already missing having been crudely ripped of the page and claimed by another already. The ones that remained simply had a date and time scribbled on them. In a stroke of coincidence one of the dates was that very day and the time proved to be well enough in the future that she could arrive first. Aikiko set off at a leisurely pace towards the given location, one that sounded like a place where she'd be offered an absurd low-ball offer for pawned goods.

Aikiko arrived to an idyllic place not at all like she imagined and took a meditative pose on her knees. Aikiko focused herself inwards and imagined herself at the bottom of the nearby pond. Fully able to breathe in her meditative illusion. The raven haired teen controlled her breathing, letting out one bubble and watching it rise tot he surface and break at which point she let out two more, then next she blue out three and again watched them rise. The Uchiha girl's focused breathing continued ad nauseum. Her peacuful meditation was a perfect way to kill the time and center her mind on the battle to come. The sun was low in the sky still behind the buildings it would rise above her back as the morning progressed. The weather in the Cloud Village was gorgeous this time of year providing temperate days filled with a pleasant cool breeze. Aikiko would wait for opponent to arrive at which point she'd rise and bow before opening her eyes revealing the sharingan. “My name is Uchiha Aikiko. I am the best our village has to offer and I will prove it at your expense. Tell me your name so I can cross it off the list.” After her venomous challenge is issued she would draw her blade and form a bird hand seal gathering futon chakra into her blade preparing to unleash a howling gale on her unfortunate victim. Once the futon chakra coated her blade Aikiko would focus chakra into her eyes and look to make eye contact with her mysterious challenger.

As the sun crested over the distant buildings to the east, its piercing limbs stretching into a lonely pond in a large plot of land, Atsushi would arrive to the edge of the large clearing only for someone else to have already made her way to this place. The swordswoman before him engaging in her on ritual, not unlike the one Atsushi himself engaged in on the days he could make it to this place. As quietly as he knew how he would watch from hundreds of meters away at one of the bends of the stream that quietly fed into the pond itself. The dawn illuminated the area in rich hues as the once monument to long fallen heroes dissolved the light in aqua regia, before releasing the refined gold light back into the atmosphere. The backdrop imposed behind the meditating Uchiha was almost sublime enough to tempt Atsushi into foregoing the fight he was sure she was here for, yet he progressed towards the 400 meter lake and the woman between them regardless. As the gentle breeze placed its hand to his back egging him further towards the sword wielder, he'd follow approach slowly spinning his spear in his left hand. Even when the cool wind had left the two to their own devices her voice would remain, captured within the dance of the probationary genin's spear.

"You're here to fight, yeah?"

The meditating figure would, with control and poise, rise to match Atsushi's height before bending into a bow. Atsushi wouldn't bend in turn, simply sizing up the older woman before him letting a toothy grin part gleeful lips as he continued to walk until he could face her with the sun's light travelling perpendicular to them. Scarred grass beneath their feet spoke of a history older than either of the two ninja that stood upon the monument once dedicated to the two heroes whose namesake the pond adopted. The edifice that once celebrated them laid decimated as their memory at the bottom of the golden glowing pond. The warm light encased the two ninja as Aikiko opened dispelled myth with legendary eyes that held the title of being the apotheosis of visual prowess. Another set of red orbs lock eyes with the set that peered into them at an equal height. The swordswoman's eyes may have introduced the ninja before him to another, the fanfare was lost on Atsushi, whose knowledge of ninja and their arts was limited to that which he'd experienced himself. He unknowingly stood humbly dressed before a woman from such a regal clan. He wore his headband, lightweight clothes, a pendant of a wolf head biting a moon hanging over his clothes, and a kunai pouch containing a kunai and three shuriken on his hip.

“My name is Uchiha Aikiko. I am the best our village has to offer and I will prove it at your expense. Tell me your name so I can cross it off the list.”

"Uchiha Aikiko, I came here to dance with the village's best, not talk about FMK journals."

The sound of the breeze would end as the ninja's left hand would firmly grip his spear as he'd enter a horse stance placing a second hand on the spear placing in the 8 meter gap between the two kumo-nin. Atsushi eyes would make the blunder of staring into the Uchiha's legendary gaze. The intense beams of golden light slowly began getting warmer until Atsushi began sweating, his brain convincing his body it was necessary. His smile wouldn't fade though as Atsushi raise an arm that slowly began crackling with lightning, the strands of chakra burning his own flesh. The first 20 degrees that he raised his right arm would be slow, and then he'd ball his fist before throwing his arm up into an "L" shape and yelling "Lariat!" He'd open by charging at his opponent at 20 m/s aiming the bend of his elbow for her clavicle as he'd charge to her right. If the attack hit it would launch her 10 meters back, but in the more likely event that it missed Atsushi would twist himself to face her before tilting his head to the side letting the dawning sun that he'd obscured shine into the chunin's face. Assuming he was uninterrupted he'd follow up by ducking low and swinging the blade of his spear to cut into Aikiko's ankles and using the the extension of the spear's follow through if the attack missed to balance a kick aimed at where Aikiko's chest was.

Aikiko's opponent did show up eventually. He was … smaller than she expected. She looked him up and down as he approached. Either he had some hidden talent or he was about to learn his lesson for putting out open calls for people to come fight you. Aikiko's gender and small frame gave her the advantage of being underestimated generally. She had no clue if this would be the case here but she'd give him her all no matter what. The boy spun his spear, a peasants weapon betraying his likely lack of training. The blade in Aikiko's hand was likely worth more than the entirety of his person she judged from the look of him. His manners also betrayed a low birth and lack of discipline. Aikiko dismissed this fight before it began, he would prove to be nowhere near the match Kyousuke was she was sure of it. Aikiko stood four inches taller and had about seven kilograms on him also unlike the duel with Kyousuke Aikiko had the advantage physically. His proudly displayed headband and conspicuous tool pouches betrayed a lack of experience, an eagerness to compensate for the low expectations placed on him since birth. Aikiko's raven black hair fluttered pleasantly in the light breeze that swirled clouds beneath their mountain home. Aikiko gritted her teeth when he spoke, his young voice jarring to her ears. The way he spoke was so improper.

Also unexpected was the fact that he was far more vulgar, he implied that she wanted to lie with him. He'd pay for that quip. Perhaps she'd remove his tongue after he was subdued. Aikiko's sharingan, warned her off his jutsu before the words left his mouth she could see him gathering the chakra and molding it before he took off towards her with his arm extended. Aikiko was faster than him even with his jutsu speeding him up she was able to maintain his pace. When he turned to face her he'd be met with a flash of steel and waves of wind swiftly slicing the air in his direction. Only needed one hand to swing her blade the other made a half bird hand seal and a wave of chakra emanated from her seeking to bring him under the effects of one of her illusions. Should the wave of wind not cut him to shreds hopefully her illusion would confuse him long enough to catch him off guard and land a decisive strike with either wind or blade. Aikiko's illusion would not manifest until he tried to use his next jutsu. When he did, the young Uchiha would pounce on him with a flurry of swings from her sword sending wind and steel in a fluttering storm aiming to cut him to ribbons. Aikiko's sharingan would remain locked on her foe waiting to perceive anymore jutsu that he planned to use against her. Aikiko's sword remained sheathed in wind while her free hand was at the ready to catch his spear should a lazy thrust come too near her. Should she grab a hold of the spear shaft she'd use her grip to pull him to the ground and bring a swift end to the fight and his spear. If she were to disarm him the fight would be over in seconds she conjectured. She'd be able to easily force his surrender once he was without means to defend himself.

As the genin launched himself at his senpai, it was apparent that Aikiko could back up what she'd said about being the best before Atsushi had moved. even as he approached he felt his heart tremble slightly as she watched him approach moving in tandem with his own assault as she, unlike the opponent's he'd fought so far, turned to meet him. No, that wasn't exactly true. Aikiko waited for him as his bare feet came to a stop in the soft grass.

Atsushi's eye's grew wide as his blow was met with a wind wrapped weapon that was cleverly wield cleanly cutting through his Lariat and into his arm knocking him backwards too quickly for him to maintain his footing. Blood and ninja would fly two and a half meters backwards with Atsushi catching himself falling facing away from Aikiko as another blade of wind hit his back pushing him another meter, but this time Atsushi would catch himself facing his opponent once more.

Atsushi would stand against the flurry spinning his weapon in his left hand as sticky red soaked into his right sleeve and pooled into his once skin tight shirt. The look of surprise would fade into a grin as he blocked the rest of the incoming attacks with his polearm. His right eye clenched tightly from the pain, but he forced his left open with will power. Each one handed slash would slightly knock him out of his stance and his spear out of place. Leaving Atsushi only able to block by flinching back into place throughout the barrage as each strike sent powerful vibrations down his body as his slowly breaking weapon failed to continuously block the barrage.

As the heatwave that assaulted him slowly faded away, probably from the blood loss, and was quickly by his body screaming for him to run and give up. Atsushi in his peripherals could see that these blades didn't extend forever, Atsushi would start spinning his spear in quick rotations as he backed up slowly hoping Aikiko wouldn't approach. The blade, being taller than him would rip through the ground a sit spun in seemingly overly fancy flourishes. The probationary genin though had more up his sleeve than that. After each block he'd spin his spear as he shifted it back in place with each rotation launching a pebble and a shower of slow moving loose dirt at Aikiko, though he was still receiving small cuts on his shoulders and thighs as the jutsu pierced his spear techniques, clothes, and thin chained armor that hid behind the other two.

All though the wound would heal on its own eventually, he needed his arm back now. As the spear in his left arm spun sending yet another incredibly deadly pebble at Aikiko he'd lift up a should be steaming arm that was regenerating from the yang infused chakra all he find would be a sharp pain as he raised his arm, causing him to to poorly block allowing yet another slash to cut into his right side. The sharp pain cleared his head as he realized all too late that he'd been under genjutsu since before he'd even started to fight, the heat, the lack of healing, it made sense now. Whoever this Aikiko was She was seriously amazing.

Atsushi would throw the spear high into the air hopping into the air and letting the blade of air push him the full distance of the jutsu range and he'd clap his hands together shouting Kai. Though it looked like the clap for the genjutsu release jutsu the clap would send a wave of Yin chakra from Atsushi that would cascade out in a 10 m radius orb at 25 m/s. This expression of chakra obviously put strain on the genin though as it whittled his chakra reserves down to even more minuscule amounts. His spear would land beside him to his left in pieces with one of the halves firmly lodging itself in the ground. As the wearily grinning genin stared defiantly at Aikiko, arm hanging limply at his side as thick crimson fed visibly growing grass beneath, or at least that's what it would look like if she didn't fall under his spell.

The Deep Sky Submersion technique wasn't subtle it would drag its victims thousands of feet up into the heavens, before slowly dragging them through the clouds. Atsushi hoped he could get a moment to catch his breath and heal as the Chunin would hopefully find herself falling through the clouds as the bright morning sun pierced through the clouds of morning.

Aikiko's blade and the wind that came with it had begun to splash their crimson strokes across the tranquil meadow. Atsushi's blood would bring life to weeds and grass, perhaps she'd be able to name an entire garden of weeds after him once they were through. To her surprise his wounds seemed to start healing as soon as they were exposed. Atsushi was able to successfully shed the heatwave genjutsu and become something of a counter, hefting his spear into the sky he clapped his hands sending a wave of chakra at Aikiko. The raven haired teen was hopeless to avoid it but recognized it as some sort of genjutsu. Aikiko yelped in surprise at the sudden feeling for falling, but quickly settled down having expected an illusion of some kind. The young woman tried to sprint undaunted at her enemy but the prison of clouds seemed to disable this ability for her. Very well then, I'll fight him in place. He will only hasten his end if he hopes to charge me again. A murderous grin spread across Aikiko's face, “Your illusion is nothing but a child's fantasy. Do you want to see what Genjutsu can really do?” The raven haired heiress made a half bird hand seal, and a the wave of chakra that emitted from her shot out covering its twenty meter radius in an instant. Aikiko waited with sinister anticipation for the screams to start. Aikiko never quite knew what her victims saw, the terror in the illusions were that they were different for everyone. Aikiko's chakra would attack Atsushi's brain igniting his deepest fears as hallucinations that invariably trapped its victim in a terror induced paralysis.

When the terror took its hold Aikiko would begin speaking to him again, “This is true power. I have no doubt that whatever strange blood you have will keep you alive through what I end up doing to you, but that just means I need to break your mind and your body. You're surely used to pain with a power like that. But the mind is not so easy to train. Everyone has fears, so I use this fact to crush them. It is my divine right as an Uchiha to impose my will on you. You will be begging me for the end by the time we're through. But no, I'll leave you with the terror and the injuries maybe your mind will recover, maybe it won't. That point is none of my concern” Atsushi's comments at the start of the fight had enraged her, she was in a state, of cold fury, every word and move from this point forward would be designed to leave her opponent absolutely terrified of her. Aikiko had to once again establish herself as the elite of the current class of rising stars. The others would never forget her and would likely be hesitant to ever challenge her again. Some would follow her others would resent her such was the life of Uchiha Aikiko.

The Uchiha had fallen under Atsushi's genjutsu. It wasn't a win, but another act of defiance against 'the best the village had to offer'. For all her eyes saw, he was pleased to realize she hadn't seen through his genjutsu. The cuts he'd received would begin closing once again growing more shallow and less wide, but the streams of blood would barely stop. Nevertheless Atsushi would defiantly smile.

"You're seriously ridiculously strong, but should the village's best really be having this much trouble with a probationary genin?" A cocky grin would take hold of Atsushi as he would inhale sharply, pulling in chakra from his surroundings. Letting his stamina return to him.

“Your illusion is nothing but a child's fantasy." Atsushi's eyes would go back from relaxed snapping to and focusing on Aikiko. "Do you want to see," Atsushi would pull out a shuriken, twirling it in his hand, as lightning would recklessly burst from his arm. His right sleeve would burst off of his arm as he pulled back his hand to through the lightning infused projectile. "What Genjutsu can really do?”

Atsushi's hand wouldn't wait to see what tricks she had up her sleeve. As the chunin made the first sign of what had to be a chain his would launch forward throwing th-"9-20."

Atsushi's eyes would go wide and as his pupils would begin to shake. He could feel the shadow behind him. Its cold breath breathing down his neck as a limb with five digits erupted from an ethereal shroud of darkness grabbing Atsushi's right hand, while it was still reeled back. A second limb would emerge from the shadowy figure grappling the genin's neck holding it in place. A third and fourth limb would emerge taking hold of his left arm. Two more would appear for each leg. Then the last two, the ninth and tenth limbs, would spread his eyes wide so he couldn't look away. Once again he was chained and a woman in white scrubs slowly began piercing him with needles.

His heart beginning to race, and his body shaking with absolute fear. Atsushi stood locked in place fighting through terror. He'd grit his teeth as he'd try to power through the grip of the limbs that bound him to no avail. Atsushi would begin to fall deeper into the illusion losing track of reality momentarily. Reliving past trauma and being immersed back into the hell he'd fought so hard to escape as the familiar figure behind him would begin to whisper.

This is true power. We have no doubt that your strange blood will keep you alive through what We end up doing to you, but that just means We need to break your mind and your body. You're surely used to pain with a power like this. But the mind is not so easy to train. Everyone has fears, so We'll use this fact to crush you.
