Kekkei Genkai Name: Chakra Tech
Kekkei Genkai Description:Chakra-Tech, is the name given to the Ushinatta technology that they have managed to remake, or in rarer cases, rediscover from their former time. This advanced technology is a natural evolution of some of the more minor technology of the current age, such as communications devices and projector screens and more importantly the Kote Technology developed in Konoha. Chakra Tech, in this world, is commonly made with many small complex parts, be they moving or otherwise, with an internal system of grooves and channels that allows for the circulation of chakra, either from the user or a 'Mod' to perform a specific purpose. All Chakra tech weapons can be used as catalysts for specialized techniques, such as using vents in a sword or shuriken as chakra based rocket boosters to swing harder or spin faster, allowing them to deliver more damage or out maneuver a foe.
However, the true unique function of chakra tech stems from the fact each chakra tech item made by an Ushinatta has something called 'Mod Capacity', it allows them to equip an unspecified amount of Chakra Tech mods up to a certain point. For example: A B-rank Chakra Tech item could take 6 D-rank Chakra Tech mods if the user was so inclined.
Chakra Tech items have a Mod Capacity of 5 at E-rank, and increase by 5 every rank after E.
Chakra Tech: Mods
Much like hidden equipment within Kugutsu puppets, 'Mods' are items that are able to augment or change the performance or mechanical functions of a weapon with carefully constructed artificial chakra pathways or mechanical features. In many ways, mods are like a battery or additional component, structured in such a manner that they can grant abilities to an Ushinatta's weapon when equipped to them.
'Mods' can create as many unique and powerful effects as is limited by the scope of the imagination. Additionally mods are transferable, allowing them to be switched rapidly from different chakra tech items, usable as soon as they are implanted. (As is the case with multiple jutsu castings, switching multiple mods can be interrupted as an action). So an Ushinatta with a Chakra Tech bow and two mods that imbue a speed boost and a raiton damage augment, respectively, they could shoot one arrow with the speed boost, switch the mod, notch another arrow, and shoot an arrow empowered with electricity. All in the same post. Though this function is noticeably less efficient in close quarters combat, as while it is a quick process, it is not an instantaneous one.
Mods are able to use values up to the rank of the item for personal and item abilities. Additionally, Mods have one of their ability slots free of cost as well as the an additional slot above the maximum they can have. However the chakra tech items that mods are equipped to have one less ability slot. Chakra Tech mods don’t consume an ability slot to be able to attach to Chakra Tech items.
- Mod Stress:
While a Chakra Tech item can have a lot of mods attached to the item, there is a limit. Every Chakra Tech mod has a certain amount of Mod Capacity stress that adds together cumulatively. If the Chakra Tech Stress would exceed the Mod Capacity of an item, then no more mods can be equipped, but currently equipped mods still can be used or removed (which decreases Mod Stress).- E-rank: 1 M.S (Mod Stress)

Chakra tech weapons and their Mods are well beyond the technology level of standard ninja items. Potentially requiring years to recreate or reverse engineer. Chakra Tech in general would have an exorbitant cost for a normal ninja to reproduce but as the original creators, the Ushinatta are able to create chakra tech and chakra tech mods at a fraction of normal costs. All chakra tech items (this includes mods) receive a 20% discount at the time of creation.
Specialization
Upon reaching A-rank an Ushinatta has reached the pinnacle of Ushinatta forging, and may choose a single effect from the list below, from which they can apply to all their items. Though some may forgo such specialization due to the sacrifices they’ll have to make for a specific art. The effect of the specialization chosen can be applied to any items the Ushinatta apps, (after the specialization is chosen and before it’s approved and paid for), however to apply to effect and the drawbacks associated with it the item in question must have the name of the specialization added at the end of the name in parathesis to clarify that it is being used.

- Expert Durability: Your method of forging has enlightened you with bringing out the best qualities of durability in your chakra tech. All items are able to take an additional jutsu of their rank before being damaged. However all offensive values future items are naturally at a minimum, requiring an ability slot to bring it above that plateau.
- Advanced Recycling: After a long while you’ve learn how to most efficiently recycle materials for use all of you items, providing a 35% discount to items, this also adds onto your discount for chakra tech items. Though this comes at the price of resale value, decreasing all ryo you gain from selling it by 15%.
- Unparalleled Edge: All damage values are passively at the maximum for their rank as a base value, meaning they have another maximum value somewhere else as well; however due to the extra reinforcement necessary to make this happen, items have 1 less ability slot.
- Perfectionistic Peak: All ability slots passively have 3 max values each as a base, and additional max values they can apply to jutsu can be applied to all of the item's abilities. Mostly with the case of senjutsu, but also for EP prizes, or kekkei genkai implants (dojutsu or advanced element). Though this comes at a steep sacrifice. More of the item becomes devoted to its functions than the structural stability. As such the durability of all items designated with Perfectionistic Peak is reduced by 1 rank, and when they’d normally go into the damaged state they are instead instantly broken.
- Masterful Armor Works: (For some forsaken reason) Your breakthroughs with armor have made them more effective at resisting damage. Light armor and Heavy armor can use the improved values provided below, as well as the normal maximum defense of the opposite type. (So if you choose to use the improved version of basic strike protection found below, you could also get the normal version of jutsu defense.) Though this adds +500 ryo to the cost of the armor's cost at the end of other calculations (such as SCs or some special event curse or similar situation.) Lastily, due to the extra amount of technology that comes with enhancing these primitive designs and the limitations of this era, some of the negatives are stronger. Armor enhanced by this feature lose one ability slot, and active effects take up two ability slots. Additionally if there's a item ability that includes damage, that entire Item ability has all values constrained to two ranks lower instead of one rank lower.
- Light Armor:
"Strikes of two ranks lower or below are negligible. Strikes of equal rank or below have their damage reduced by one rank and set the the minimum damage for that rank. Additionally if your endurance would reduce the the value to the base of the damage's new rank as well, the damage is reduced again to the mid rank value of the rank below that."
"Jutsu of equal rank lower or below have their damage reduced by one rank, and minimized. Jutsu of three ranks or lower are rendered completely null."
- Heavy Armor:
"Strikes of one rank lower or below are negligible. Strikes of equal rank or below have their damage reduced by two ranks and minimized to that of their new rank. Strikes of one rank higher have their damage reduced by one rank, and minimized as well."

- Prosthetic Champion: Ever the saint you've decided to improve the world of modern prosthetics. (Which you think would be much more advanced considering how many ninja get dismembered regularly in mission and general work...). Every prosthetics comes fitted with artificial chakra pathways which, while are much more chakra friendly, only lessen the effects of prosthetics. The maximum chakra pool decreases is as follows: -10 for the first prosthetic, -20 for the second, -30 for every prosthetic after that. Additionally they can gain the effect of armor protection, as well as the normal durability, for an item of their rank. The drawback is, you still lose big amounts of chakra to get these prosthetics in the first place.
- Meister Master: (This only applies to Banraku puppets, and they must be chakra tech) Your Ushinatta puppetry has evolved to new heights, and you've given your puppets some degree of sentience with masterful programming. In essence your puppets become something more like summons. Your puppets now have 3 tiers that they can put into either any of their stats. They may also operate and move on their own, meaning without the puppet technique, and with a noticeable personality. Though this does takes up a puppet mod slot with a specific item, using the template below. (This item also costs 20% more, while ignoring the discount of chakra tech items/mods)

Drawbacks:
- Foreign Genesis: Ushinatta are much more comfortable relying on their chakra tech, as has been their way for generations, even before the great war. This has greatly eroded their ability to use chakra on their own, without chakra tech aid. As such, their jutsu lists suffer tremendously. They are allowed to only have the jutsu required to rank up, (in both number of jutsu required and of the required ranks), as well as 6 jutsu which are not related to those requirements.
Additionally it costs an extra 10 chakra to cast any technique from your jutsu list. These jutsu limitations don't affect jutsu earned through events or EP, or similar method of achievement, or academy techniques. Also jutsu obtained through organizations, such as the hunter nin and anbu to name a few, do not take these negatives as well since they are automatically added to your jutsu list. - Foreign Bodied: Due to not having ninja heritage, the bodies of the Ushinatta are less able than those of others in the ninja world. Ushinatta only have 6 points/tier with which to upgrade their stats.
- Foreign Nature: As an additional weakness of the Ushinatta, due to having relied on their chakra tech and how to manipulate it with their machines, they themselves have grown out of touch with manipulating internal chakra nature naturally. So they can only know 2 base elements in total.
- Foreign Foreign Foreign: With the mysterious Ushinatta suddenly popping into an unfamiliar world, they are often out of their element, still trying to adjust to their new environment. Requiring +500 ryo to rank up.
- Foreign Biology: Because they aren't completely from this time and have a slightly different organic structure than what the Shinobi are used to dealing with, every Ushinatta has to take the Pharmacophobia negative SC without balancing it.
- Foreign Design: Ushinatta style chakra tech relies on a more advanced and convuluted design than a most weapons of this age. Due to technology constraints, all Ushinatta chakra tech Weapons suffer from a -1 to the number of ability slots they can have. So if a chakra tech Item (not a mod), would normally have only 1 ability slot, it would have none with this drawback.
- Foreign Style: This is more of an inherent design in chakra tech in general, but all chakra tech mods are unable to provide their benefits unless equipped to a chakra tech item. Including passive effects, which would normally be active at all items while on your person.
- Foreign for you: Chakra Tech items/mods cannot be sold to someone not of the Ushinatta clan, this drawback cannot be worked around in any way.
