The clan was started a meager 15 generations ago by Iki Karisuma, a noble lord who on his private land near Sunagakure was renown for a bountiful harem and the totalitarian rule that he kept on his vast servant population. The clans men and women became renowned for their fox featured faces, blond hair, blue eyes and traditionally beautiful visage, as they quickly became known to be called the glass jewels of the sands. As Iki's life went on, his influence over his children and the remainder of the clan corrupted the noble stature of his people, making them become vain and shallow as time went on. They began selling their own sons and daughters who did not keep to their standard into slavery and the sex trade, using them for marital alliances, paying debts and even gambling them away as time went on, keeping the core lone of the family 'pure' and only wedding and bearing children with the most beautiful women from surrounding nations. However, as dark acts stained the souls of the members of the clan, the life and light in their eyes, maintained through happiness and innocence, died under the weight of their sins...

And it didn't go unnoticed.

It quickly became a scandal, Iki's children believed their only flaw to be their dull and lifeless eyes so they hired an assortment of mystics, ninja and sages from across the land to set up a jutsu to change the horrific stain on their perfect self image. The family expended a vast fortune, calling in all the debts and favors that they had accumulated over the decades in order to transfigure this weakness into a blessing, after such a hit to their reputation, the eyes they attained could not simply be good, or great, they had to be stunning... But, time and time again the attempts failed to live up to their expectations, leading into illegal organ trade, and even in some extreme cases, Iki's daughter tore the eyes from a maiden whose eyes seemed fairer than her own, yet nothing seemed to kill the curse of the family, as any other eye quickly had the life fade from it, continuing their curse.

That was until Iki himself, now an older man developed in secret a doujutsu, having taken genetic material from prime genetic stock and infusing it with DNA from a mysterious red eye. It was his goal to change his eyes permanently, and those of his descendants. Completing his dark and depraved experiments, he integrated the eyes into his eldest son in such a manner that not only would it permanently change his eyes, but, that his body would acclimatize to the eyes, accepting them and altering its DNA in such a manner that it was as if they were 'always' his eyes. The result was dazzling and equally permanent. Iki had 'created' a Doujutsu that would be passed from generation to generation. The eye was like staring into the brightest and most brilliant jewel of their eye's respective colour, so beautiful it was, that it stunned those who gazed upon it in awe.

And so it was named.

Over time, the addition of outsiders into the clan and after the deaths of Iki and his children, the clan began to dilute the shallowness, the vanity and the dark history the clan was known for yet the doujutsu remained. Be it a weapon or a blessing it could in an instant within sight of the sparkling eyes that captivate men and women alike. With generations passing by and more sons and daughters becoming shinobi it became useful in battle stunning their opponents for mere seconds with their beauty. However, the clan never quite rid itself of the expansive slave trade network that had been born from the age of the clan's progenitors. Using the trade and the connections that had been forged in order to finance their ambitions, the shade that had been cast by their empire attracted the attention of Mitsuo, leading to a cataclysm that almost ended the clan once and for all...

Attempting to fight off the long Sanin on a rampage the clan did its best to hold the sword saint of konoha at the gates, but to no avail, one by one they fell, leaving nothing but ash in their wake. The attack left the manor and grounds around it barren and desolate, as well as their criminal empire in tatters, opening the gates for others within Suna to flood the market with slaves and crime to fill the void that opened up. Some of the only remaining members of the Karisuma clan now, are those who were sold into slavery by their family, possessing the coveted eyes, but not potentially the perfect physique that the clan had subscribed to, creating a painful irony that only those who had performed the ill deeds to be killed by the hands of the ninja that night. The event left the clan scattered and without a home, none of them wishing to rebuild it in fear that it would awaken the seemingly dark nature lurking deep within the hearts of the clan.

Instead many members of the Karisuma clan look for a means to make their own fortune and follow their own ambitions, whether it be to rebuild the name and reputation of the long fallen house of Karisuma, or whether it be to live to their own merits and simply search for happiness within their broken world. However with the Stunning eyes at their disposal, known now as one of the great Doujutsu of the ninja world, there is seemingly nothing that the members of the clan aren't equipped to handle in one way or another. And so eye eyes of the world watch for what will become of them, whether they will be swept under the rug as dust on the mantle of history, or rise to become the jewels of Sunagakure once again.

Kekkei Genkai Name: The Stunning Eyes.
Kekkei Genkai Description: The Karisuma clan are the bearers of the semi-legendary eyes known as the stunning Eyes, Titled as a double-entente for their dazzling looks as well as their function of stunning those who look upon them in awe. Upon activation, the users eyes turn into a beautiful, brighter, sparkling and shining version of whatever colour they are naturally, much like their eyes turning into bio-luminescent crystals... causing those who look at them to become stunned or heavily encumbered by the effects of the eye. The eye works by triggering the victim's emotional response on a chemical level flushing the body with Dopamine, Oxytocin and Serotonin on sight to such a level it can leave a victim paralyzed with awe. The exact effects of this vary, depending on the rank of the doujutsu its power and range are subject to change. Training the Stunning Eye is no easy task, and requires a grand effort. For each rank, it costs triple the normal word count and ryo for a jutsu of its rank. A Shinobi is able to train their Stunning Eye up to a rank above their own. The Stunning Eye has a very brief and subtle tell, activating the Stunning Eye requires one post of preparation during which the eye will glow very faintly while it gathers the chakra inside of it.

• C Rank: -15 Chakra
  The victim will become mildly confused and dazed, making it so that they forget about the details of their strategy and previous train of thought. Everything seems brighter, making it more distracting for the victim. Causes -1 tier of Reaction Time for two posts. During this time, the victim is limited to using one jutsu per post; this secondary effect can be circumvented by an Endurance of B-0 or higher. The pre-flash of C-rank Sunning Eye requires a perception of C-3 to notice. The range of C-Rank Stunning Eye is a cone with a 5m radius directed where the user is looking.
  
  
  
• B Rank: -20 Chakra
  When seeing the Stunning Eyes at this stage the victim will experience difficulty thinking and trouble with both their short term and long term memory. Everything will seem disabling bright, to the point where focusing on everything in their field of vision is impossible. The effect could be compared to a severe concussion. Causes -2 tiers of Reaction Time for two posts. During this time, the victim is limited to using one jutsu per post; this secondary effect can be circumvented by an Endurance of A-0 or higher. The pre-flash of B-rank Sunning Eye requires a perception of B-3 to notice. The range of B-Rank Stunning Eye is a cone with a 10m radius directed where the user is looking.
  
  
• A Rank: -25 Chakra
  In this stage, the member of the Karisuma Clan is able to affect their opponent's senses. In addition to everything being bright, everything seems to be overwhelmingly detailed. They become completely enthralled by the smallest of things, making them vulnerable targets. The feeling of giddiness becomes overwhelming joy. They lose their sense of time entirely. Causes -4 tiers of Reaction Time for three posts. During this time, the victim is limited to using one jutsu per post and the highest rank jutsu being maintained is ended. The pre-flash of A-rank Sunning Eye requires a perception of A-3 to notice. The range of A-Rank Stunning Eye is a cone with a 25m radius directed where the user is looking.
  
  
• S Rank: -30 Chakra
  The opponent is left completely dazed and distracted. Everything around them becomes overwhelming. Their brain processes images and noises at an incredibly slow rate, making it so that everything around them is happening in slow motion. The opponent, however, is overwhelmed by a sense of euphoria and almost completely fails to realize the gravity of these effects. They completely forget that there's even a battle going on, unless of course, they are attacked Causes -6 tiers of Reaction Time for four posts. During this time, the victim is unable to concentrate on forming chakra for long enough to use any jutsu as well as ending up to 2 maintained jutsu (higher ranked ones are ended first due to being harder to concentrate on). The pre-flash of S-rank Sunning Eye requires a perception of S-3 to notice. The range of S-Rank Stunning Eye is a cone with a 40m cone directed where the user is looking.
  
  

Drawbacks:

• Fragile Beauty: The Stunning eyes takes a toll on its user however, causing the user to lose two tiers of Perception for one post plus one more per rank of eye above C rank following its activation.
  
  
• Socially Advantaged: It's said that good looks pay off, and that is true, but they also have a harsher side to them. Karisuma often find they get what they want a lot easier than others, building up bad habits where their concept of hard work, falls somewhat short of their peers. As such, Karisuma training word counts are increased by 20% in addition, they must take the Hesitant Element SC without the ability to balance it.
  
  
• Visual Addiction: Those who have seen the Stunning Eyes and lived to tell the tale are undoubtedly marked by the experience. As the eyes trick the brain into thinking its experienced the absolute height of all beauty, such an experience can give even enemies fervor. People who see the stunning eyes while active more than once become marked by them, adding 'Marked by Karisuma' to the top of their Jutsu list and temporarily gain the 'strong willed' positive SC when fighting those they know to be Karisuma or have the stunning eyes in the future. Opponents with strong willed also have any debuff caused by the stunning eye reduced by -1 rank these effects can stack if the opponent has both.
