So this is Konoha... A light, warm breeze gently caressed the back of Raishi head as he walked amongst the crowds of what seemed to be a marketplace. If not for the crisp air, and the smoothened ground, it was very much comparable to the marketplace in Iwagakure, with the hustle and bustle of merchants, and the songs of impassionate bartering. Raishi had only been in Konoha for what seemed to be like minutes, but he was already deeply intrigued by just how stark the difference in atmosphere was compared to Iwagakure. Everything seemed smoother, lighter, even easier. And yet, he couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging, because the people were still the same. As he walked around casually, he made sure to truly immerse himself in the duality of this new environment with a smile on his face; the sweet smells of freshly made spectator treats, juxtaposed with the all too familiar scent of anxiety amongst those who had an upcoming bout, the crisp air tainted with the taste of battle, even the smoothened out environment decorated with chunky, geometrical stalls. This was a plethora of both the familiar and unfamiliar fo Raishi, and was why Konoha started to pique his interest more and more.
Eventually, he found himself walking out of the market place, and started approaching what seemed to be some sort of arena out of interest. As he neared the establishment, he realised that it wasn't just any arena, but it seemed to be an open one - one where anybody could open spar for the sake of entertainment, or exhibition matches if you will. Raishi entered the amphitheatre, amking sure to position himself at the top most level so he could properly observe all that there was to observe properly. The arena itself was interestingly small, with the grounds being circular with a diameter of approximately 20 meters. Having noticed that, it was clear that this was for small bouts, mainly for close quarter combat fighters even. It was then that Raishi finally noticed there was someone smack in the middle of the grounds atop a box who seemed to be making a big announcement.
"
...Is there a challenger among you that may provide these wonderful onlookers with a show that will dazzle, razzle and vajazzle all those inattendance? Well, maybe not the last one, but who is up for a show, eh?"
Interesting....
The boy spoke with a certain flare that evoked excitement in the minds and hearts of those who heard him, despite his tiny frame. Raishi couldn't help but chuckle a little to himself, impressed by the boy's confidence and willingness to entertain. On normal day, he was not one to fight for entertainment's sake, or fight at all even unless completely necessary, but the boy's larger than life personality started to make him consider putting on a show for the sake of it. He looked at the boy again, and then looked around at the cheering crowds who were waiting for a possible challenger.
I don't really have a choice here do I...
With a slight smile on his face and shaking his head, Raishi stands up from his seat and brings out a single shuriken from his pouch, in the midst of the roaring crowd. He would launch it at the boy, aiming for the space between the boy's left and right foot on the box, before then jumping out of the crowd, and landing about 5 meters in front of the boy. As he did so, the crowd roared, ready to be entertained.
Wow he really is small...
Looking at the boy, he looked no older than 10 given his size, with baby brown eyes and palish skin. And yet, his stage presence was unquestionable. Raishi was not one to judge a book by its cover, but he had a feeling he was dealing with a Genin mainly because of the boy's announcement to please. Conceding that the boy had more or loss baited him and he took it, Raishi smiled and took a casual stance, hoping to see what the boy had to offer. He would then gesture to the boy encouragingly before talking calmly.
"
Okay kid, let's see what you've got."
