Makato awoke from his slumber with a smile on his face. He loved days like these, infact, he felt as though he were born for them. It was the only thing Makato and his father shared in common: their inherent love for training. Getting stronger, better, smarter, faster, anything. Makato loved to grow. He felt as though he was at a stage when he couldn't use his potential at all. He felt as though he had much ability, but no means of using it. He hadn't enough ryo to buy a sturdy sword that he could use as a means of attacking. He hadn't learned ninjutsu yet, but he felt as though he would be great at it. It was 8:00 AM. Makato rubbed his crusty eyes, stretched, and rolled down onto the floor with a smile. He stood up, stretched again, and brushed himself off. He was dressed in what he had wore to sleep: an off-white t-shirt and some boxers. He walked to his dresser, switched his T-shirt to a brighter white and jumped into some black cargo shorts: his usual wardrobe. He slipped into his large sneakers which were positioned neatly by his door, and walked out of his room to get breakfast then go train.

After saying goodbye to his mother, grabbing a blueberry muffin and heading out the door, Makato was granted with a beautiful site. Makato lived nearby the lake, so he could see and hear the waterfalls off of the mountains. The sound of the waterfalls this early in the morning when not many were up was always a relaxing feeling to Makato. He stepped out of the door, closed it, and headed over to the fissure training spot. Once he had arrived, he threw the last piece of muffin up into the air, catching it in his mouth as it came back down. He began chewing and looking around. For what he wanted to do today would require a couple of exercises, one of which would require a rock, and the other, some piece and quite. Makato sat down, crossed his legs and closed his eyes. Makato set his palms on his knees, and took a deep breath, bringing his cheat up into the air. He continued his breathing until it became completely natural and unnoticeable. He could now focus on his chakra. The reason that he did this practice was to see how quickly he could access all of his chakra. He could feel it within him. He began to run the chakra, concentrating it into different parts of his body. Then, he mediated the chakra, allowing it to go back into it's normal flow within his body.

Makato stood up and went to look for a rock.

Zen woke with a start. He was, to say the least, eager to get out of bed. He had slept fitfully the night before. To tell the truth, he had been getting increasingly insomniac. He just.... couldn't sleep like he used to be able to. And that saddened him a little. He had recently visited the hospital, and the medical specialists there just couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. The disease he had inherited genetically--progeria, triggered recently by a traumatic event--was progressively getting worse. He was getting more gray hairs, aching, and generally looking worn-out. Of late, Zen was starting to come to terms with his own existence. Rather profound questions like Why am I here? and Who am I? had been popping into his head. Perhaps he was even overcoming his fear of death. After all, it was genetic.... there was no cure found yet.... maybe it was best to just accept it.

He had just realized; his prototype uniform order was in. It didn't have any armor, like the finished product would, but it was the basic design. It was a black coat that hid his entire form. Just as he had wanted it. After all, ninja were supposed to be stealthy, anonymous. And actually, Zenchi never wanted any fame to his name, nor to that of his clan. History had taught him that the famous almost always bore misfortune. He decided against wearing the black coat until it was fitted with armor, though. He freshened up a bit, and slipped on his normal dark-colored shirt. It was quite form-fitting, with white stripes along the arms, stopping just below the elbow where the shirt did. Again, as usual, he put on his not-too-loose, not-too-tight pants. Just right.

And now.... he decided to train. He needed to keep up his abilities, even if his body was failing him. Zen went to his normal training spot... Fissure Training Grounds. The barrenness of the place made it a no-brainer; there was no chance that a wayward attack or something would hit someone else, or even destroy nearby buildings. Not that Zen had the power to do that....yet....
Zen also saw someone else at the training grounds. Not an uncommon occurrence, as the place was a go-to for honing one's abilities.

Zen began his training with a mental exercise. He stared at a spire of rock, one at least thrice his height. He concentrated on it with all of the focus his mind would muster. After at least fifteen minutes, he stopped and walked over to the other person, simply curious.

Makato had found his rock. It was just the perfect size that he could hold it comfortably between both of his hands. He was going to try an exercise where he transfers his chakra into the rock. He chose to use a rock and not his kunai, for his kunai, like the rock, would easily break after he had done the transfer. Makato picked up the rock and sat down with, closing his eyes and assuming the same position that he was in earlier. With his elbows positioned loosely on his knees, he would hold the rock in between his two palms. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths. He could now feel the chakra within him, coursing through his body. He waited a few seconds, than concentrated all the chakra to his hands. Makato was now one with the rock that he was holding. Makato did this for a few seconds, realizing that the anatomy of the rock would not hold up for much longer. Suddenly, Makato's concentration was broken when he was approached by someone. He could sense them. Makato took a deep breath and dropped the rock onto the ground below him. The rock then began to crumble under his feet. He looked up and saw someone familiar, as though he had seen him in the village many times before. He didn't quite know him though, and his name had escaped him if he ever knew it. Makato stood up and dusted himself up, eager to finally meet the person.

"Hey, my name's Makato. What's yours?"

Makato said this with a smile, as was normally seen on his face. Even after the out-of-body type experience that he required to train his chakra flow, Makato remained his calm, easy-going personality. He was usually always like this. Makato extended his hand out to hopefully gain a handshake from the person whom he had just met.

"Hey, my name's Makato. What's yours?"

Makato....Makato.... had he heard that name before? Zen wracked his brain as thoroughly as he could in the two seconds he was given before a handshake, but no dice. Either way, he took the hand and shook it firmly. "Zenchi Kyouga. A pleasure to meet you." Zen wondered about what kind of person Makato was. By his looks, he was probably a Genin...though he'd heard of other villages having 12-year-old Jounin. He kept his mind open, in other words. He also pondered what he specialized in for him to be out here alone with....nothing at all, it seemed.

"So, are you doing some training?"

Wait! Now he remembered that name! Zenchi just couldn't remember from where. So...
"I actually think I remember hearing your name from somewhere. Could I get something from my house really quickly? I know it's something that would help me remember...." If Makato said yes, Zen would run as fast as a Special Jounin could, back to his house; he would probably do it even if he said no. Rhetorical question? Maybe. Polite? Perhaps not. Fortunately, he lived near the Training Grounds, which was sort of required, since the Training Grounds were near the Tsuchikage's office. Sometimes being one of Iwa's most trusted ninja is a hassle....
In the space of about half a minute, Zen would return, holding his Black Coat in hand. He would take a note out of the inside pocket. "Indeed.... Kobayashi Makato, you are one of my students."

[OOC: I severely apologize for the lateness. It'll get better once we start training. >.<
By the way, Migoto Tenshi asked if he could train with us, and proposed that we invite Alessi Kazako. Since all of you are my students, it might work out. Me running back to my house would be in order to get my team's listing.]

Zenchi Kyouga. There it was: Makato remembered the name's of the elite ninja of Iwagakure. His, for some reason had slipped his mind. Makato shook the man's hand until he heard his name, after which, he let go of it and gave him a bow. Makato came from a family of strict rules of respect, especially when it came to respecting those of higher authority. Although Makato was a lighthearted individual, he still always attempted to uphold that respect. When he came up from his bow, he smiled as the man asked him a question. Was he doing some training? Makato was about to answer with a casual, "Yeah... it's a short day but I'm doing my best". He opened his mouth to speak: "Ahhh, yea-" When he was cut off by the man. Then Zenchi told Makato that he thought he remembered Makato's name from somewhere.

When Zenchi then asked if he could run to his house to get a slip of paper, Makato nodded, but he saw no effect of the nod. Besides, what did the genin's opinion really matter in the subject? Makato wouldn't feel right keeping the man here, plus he had no reason to as of yet. Makato then took a seat on the floor of the training grounds. He took a deep sigh and put his hands on his knees. After training his chakra flow, he could usually feel it without having to concentrate too hard. The chakra flow within created a warm sensation that traveled across his body. Makato continued to be seated as he watched the man quickly return with a black coat in his hand.

"Indeed.... Kobayashi Makato, you are one of my students."

Makato's eyes widened. So, this was his sensai. A huge smile crept across his face. He closed his eyes and stood up, again bowing to the man. Makato didn't really know what to say to the man, so he just smiled and bowed. He was so used to talking to people informally. Makato believed the man without any further proof then his word. Makato had always been surrounded by honest people, so he had no reason the believe that Zenchi would lie.

"Good to meet you, sensai."

It was early and Migoto had to start his training, the fissure training grounds were ideal. Today he was suited up on his daily attire, black pants jacked, shirt, and shoes. His blue sewn in stones along with his fur lined collar spiced up his outfit a bit, nothing special. But being a ninja required him to eat, sleep, and breath training, it was repetitive but effective.

Walking towards the center of the training grounds he noticed two ninja casually talking, one bowed. So Migoto though it might be worth checking out. Strolling up to the pair he started to speak," Hey, couldn't help but notice you two were here to train. Was hoping to meet some new people. Migoto held out his hand to each of them, hoping they were friendly enough to give him a hand shake. Migoto Tenshi at your service.

Alessi woke up to a darkened room with a tiny beam of light shining behind the curtain on the window. She slowly inhaled as she rubbed her eyes. Sleeping past her normal wake up time was somewhat odd. It was an unfamiliar feeling, but a good one too. Stretching her arms above her, then to the side, each little movement cause a slight pop of each joint. Sighing in relief, she hopped up out of bed and opened up her curtains. The light filled the room and caused her to be blinded by the light for a few seconds. Outside, she could see how beautiful the day was. Probably a good day for training. After admiring the weather conditions for a while, she went to get dressed in her normal outfit. Heading into the kitchen, Alessi grabbed an apple and headed out to go train. She spent the last few days learning more about medical ninjutsu, so as a way of taking a break from the books she decided to try some Taijutsu out. There was a possibility of meeting some new people there as well.

Arriving at the training grounds, she could see there was already a large amount of people there. Looking around, it seemed that all the spots were already taken. Alessi kept searching, but eventually came to the conclusion that she would have to ask to share. There was only one spot in particular that caught her eye. It had three ninja in it already and all of them looked to be around her age. Walking over, she put one hand up to greet them. However, she could overhear one of them. It sounded as if he had just arrived as well. This still didn't make her back down from going over and trying to join in. Once the other was finished, she cleared her throat and smiled. "I guess I'm doing the same thing he is." She said pointing at Migoto.

If she wasn't, he would continue on without her.

"Well.... the team's assembled....Why don't we try something....interesting?" He chuckled as he used one smooth movement to put on his Black Coat, which would have made him completely anonymous save for his voice. "It's Team Beta versus their Sensei. If you're intrigued, stick around. If not.... I don't think you have what it takes to be on this team. Come at me like you aim to kill... or you won't stand a chance." Some of the stuff he said was completely out-of-character, but it would do well to make his charges do their best. He started making hand seals right off the bat. Soon, mirrors would spin into existence, though very faintly.

Makato closed his eyes, smiled and waved towards his new teammates. It seemed like fate how they had all ended up together, accidentally. All of them were planning to train on the same day. Makato quickly inspected the two newcomers. Migoto Tenshi and Alessi Kazako. Makato remembered them from the academy. He remembered Migoto to be excellent with ninjutsu, and he had forgotten any details about Alessi, besides that he'd once heard a rumor that she was a medical trainee. Makato smiled and scratched his head, preparing to greet his new teammates.

"Hey you two, what's up?"

Before he could say anything more, Zenchi began to talk to the three genin. Something interesting? Makato almost began laughing once the man put on the coat which his hid his face, but the next sentence brought a different level of gravity to the situation. Zenchi explained to the genin that they were to face him in real combat. It was extremely sudden, but Makato had been preparing for situations like these for his entire life. A large smile crept across Makato's face, but it was deleted once his sensai began the hand seals. Makato looked over at his two teammates, signalling them to follow his lead. Makato jumped back a few times, 20 meters away behind a large boulder. He crouched down and waited behind the rock. Hopefully his teammates would meet him there so they could formulate a strategy.

Staring at his new sensei he listen to him propose a challenge. Face him in real life combat,or look like a total wimp. Well obviously Migoto would not be taking the latter of the two options.

Seeing Zenchi start his handseals made his toes curl, he obviously was preparing a high level jutsu. It could be anyone of a number of painful ways Zenchi could eviscerate them. So disregarding Makato's greeting he following his teammates lead he jumped back behind a rock.

Trying to take control of the situation Migoto spoke first.Since there are three of us we need to divide his attention. I propose a three way assault where i spear head it and you two take up the sides. Sound good?

Alessi heard the man in front of her address her by name. This immediately caught her attention, but she was still in the process of figuring out what was going on. "Uh..." Before she could say another word, multiple mirrors started to appear all over the place.

Things happened a bit too fast for her to comprehend it all. She had no idea that she had met her whole entire squad and was thrown right into a training exercise with her sensei and teammates. The only thing she could think to do was follow her teammate's lead. Luckily for her, Makato was already trying his best to signal the others to go with him.

With a quick push, she was off. Sprinting right behind Makato, she eventually made it to the rock and pressed her back up against it with both teammates beside her. One of them already had an idea, while Alessi was still trying to figure out what went on. All she could utter were a few words of agreement. "Al... Alright. Sounds good." After a few more seconds, she finally got her head into the situation.

All right.... the three students of his had already regrouped. If he was correct, it was behind a large rock, about 15 meters away from Zenchi, as he was walking toward it now. Perhaps they would work well together. Now his clan's main jutsu had ended.... he had twenty hexagonal mirrors made of chakra, each being three to five inches in diameter. They floated around him in every direction. He would make the Hare hand seal, making about ten of the mirrors stick to his body. Then, Zen would try out another new jutsu. He summoned two extra Han'eiton mirrors, and stuck them to his feet. He had trained this technique before, but had not quite perfected it. So.... the mirrors on his soles absorbed light, and released it. It made for quite the quick transportation, gliding just above the ground. Zen's movement would be accompanied by a flash; his movements, no doubt already hard for one two ranks lower than him to follow, were masked by it. In what would seem like only a second after the flash, he appeared on top of the boulder, sitting almost reclining. "Haah.... let's get on with it, hmm?" He yawned audibly, though his face could not be seen; more provocative behavior. The mirrors that stuck to him before now formed into a clone at boulder's bottom, which was ready to defend its creator and itself should he be attacked in his taunting.

Makato stood up while behind the rock once everyone had made there way there. Migoto had come up with a plan, to which Makato pointed a thumb to himself, smiling and responding: "Hey, that's my line!" Makato jumped on top of the rock, hanging onto the edge of it and peering over at his sensai and opponent from behind the large rock. He was hoping that the opponent wouldn't be able to see him, but it made no difference anyways. It's not like he didn't already know that the three genin were behind the rock. His eyes widened as he watched mirrors floating around Zenchi. He watched as the mirrors stuck to his feet and his body, some of them still remaining floating mid-air. Makato watched him still, inspecting his movements as he floated quickly above the ground, also creating a clone. The young genin was intimidated to say the least. Makato then jumped back onto the ground next to his two teammates. He turned towards both of them.

"Listen, Migoto, I'm gonna attack him first. I can hold him off in close quarters. He created a clone, and it doesn't look like an ordinary bunshin. Follow my lead and attack the clone immedietly after I attack him." Makato then turned to face Alessi. "Alessi, see if you can do something about those mirrors floating around him, and when you see an opportunity for attack, take it. Migoto and I will try to create that opportunity for you."

Makato closed his eyes and gave them a grinning smile. Right then, Zenchi appeared on top of the boulder. He made a clone at the bottom of the rock, where the three genin were, and right then Makato's plan was void. Makato extracted a kunai from his pocket, then quickly made a slash at the clone's head.

Makato's plan was a solid one even though it was formulated on the spot. The strongest taijutsu users would go up against Zenchi and his clone, while Alessi crept around for a sneak attack. Had the element of suprise and everything. Migoto was Gung-Ho for it.

Migoto had to admit, it took him by surprise. Both his sudden appearance, and his jutsu. Mirrors, their actual function was unknown to the group. Maybe they were a 360 degree field of vision. It would surly be reveled soon. But that all changed the moment his teacher appeared on the rock. He was the epitome of speed and stealth, at least to the children he was facing. Wearing his cloak he was like a black specter, throwing out a friendly taunt. His mirror clone did just that. A perfect replica of the real thing stood by the group.

His confidence in the plan faltered, but then again it could still be of use. Since his teacher haddent yet heard the plan from them, they would just have to wing it. Go with your plan!", Migoto yelled .While Makato went for the mirror clone, Migoto would go for the real thing. Jumping up to him he would deliver an upper cut to his teacher aimed from the throat to the chin. Using his legs to propel himself to Zenchi's slightly elevated positon, if it connected it would be painful.

Alessi nodded once to show she understood the instructions that Makato was giving her. Good thing names were mentioned at the beginning of the plan. She wasn't one to forget a name, so she would be able to call each of them out if the needed assistance. Now back to the plan. All she had to do was focus on the mirrors revolving around Zenchi. She poked her head up once to assess what the movement of the mirrors were like. They seemed to just stay in alignment with Zenchi's movement, so it would be a pretty hard target to hit if Zenchi moved around to much. Thankfully, another problem she had was easily solved based on how the mirrors were formed. Seeing that the mirrors were in alignment with Zenchi the whole time. It meant that they were most likely made of chakra. Even if they were normal mirrors, she'd be able to knock through them with a simple punch. But she would still have to use a brand new technique to deal with them. Her chakra control was pretty decent at the time, so controlling the amount she was going to be putting out wasn't going to be a problem at all. With another nod, she grinned and cracked her knuckles. "Alright... Let's do it."

Before Alessi was even able to prepare rushing out, she heard Zenchi's voice directly above them. In a quick movement, she pushed herself off the rock and rolled when she was a safe distance away. She was going to have to act fast, just like the others. Making a few hand seals, a light blue aura began to form around her palm. She quickly focused the aura outward as she approached Zenchi. Being of a smaller stature gave her a bit of an advantage with speed and agility, but Zenchi's unique use of the mirrors on the soles of his feet would prove difficult. Nonetheless, it didn't put her down at all. Alessi was going through with the quickly thought out plan and following it to the letter. As she got closer and closer to Zenchi, she leaped to his right and took a slash at one of the mirrors with her right arm, and another slash at a different one with her left. If she hit them they would most likely break apart due to the density of the chakra scalpel. Even if she missed, she would then turn and aim again, but this time at Zenchi's leg. If it hit, it would sever a tendon and most likely bring Zenchi to a knee. That is, if the actions she did worked.

This was.... interesting. Makato had gone on to attack his Mirror Clone. A simple enough solution; Zen granted some of his chakra to the apparition of himself. The clone would focus the chakra to its hands, much like Zen would have done with a similar jutsu. However, he didn't have time to train that right now... so the mirror Clone would do. Two three-foot-long by three-inch-wide columns of light extended from the palms of the clone's hands. With one, it parried Makato's attack with his kunai. The other blade.... Well, Zen did not want to actually hurt his charges. He dumbed down the power on that one, and attempted to bludgeon Makato with it, in an upward-diagonal strike on his stomach. It would be like getting hit with a really, really, hard pipe or baseball bat. Now... more of a problem were the other two. They had actually gone for Zenchi himself. He made the Dog hand seal. This is not good.... two at close range.... Chakra? Around her hand?

Alessi attempted to attack his mirrors.... that chakra looked like a blade. Not good. He only managed to get eight of his mirrors away from his student's attack. So... He would have to use that...
"Reflect Arts! Light Screen!" As he said this, his mirrors enlarged. They surrounded him in a dome, seamless with the boulder he was still sitting on. His two students then attacked him directly... their attacks would be in vain. His Light Screen could block one attack of equal rank, and dampen the damage of another after that. They were Genin... there was no way that Zen could get a major injury from their combined assault. Migoto attempted to punch him, or that's what it looked like....A physical attack would simply make his Light Screen force Taijutsu users back. But then Alessi came next. She came at him with the same chakra-enveloped hands that destroyed his mirrors--an impressive feat--and managed to dissipate his Light Screen. Even more so. This was turning out to be an exciting match... though Zen had to conserve his chakra more.... And then he had a bruise on his leg. Alessi had gotten through his Light Screen with her chakra still intact, though dimmer. Did he lose focus? Was he getting complacent? A B-rank jutsu usually would be stopped in its tracks by a B-ranked barrier, even if it had repelled a C-rank before that. He had pain in his leg... but he could keep on fighting. He ordered his Clone to his side.

After Makato was parried, a few options ran through his mind. Years of training Kenjutsu with his father were coming into play now. Hmmm, incredible. The clone could use jutsu the same way that the original can. This should prove to be a problem, but I'm sure that he will be easily destroyed within one or two hits. All I have to do is find my chance to attack and take it. But how could I possibly do that? Worry about it later. For now, he has two extensions for attacking whereas I only have one. He'll probably try to follow this parry with an attack from his second hand. Better to be safe then sorry. Makato thought all of this in a condensed message, quickly transforming it into action. Using the momentum from the parry, Makato jumped away from his opponent before he could make another move.

At the very momentum that Makato had jumped away, he performed a couple hand seals in an attempt to try a jutsu which he was still learning. After he completed the jutsu, the kunai in the center of his two palms would have a blue aura around it for a moment, then the chakra would transfer to the tip of his kunai. A 2 meter chakra extension, which was barely visible to the naked eye yet still hard and sharp as the blade being used. Makato held it in his hands for a couple seconds, then decided to make his move at the clone, who may have still been in the swiping motion of missing. Makato made five quick stabs at the man, attempting to hit four different mirrors, and one of them twice. He tried to stab one of them twice for he thought that if he broke a mirror, then hit whatever there was behind it, he had a chance of destroying the clone. During this, his teammate Migoto yelled at him to continue with the plan. Then, however, both of them began to attack the sensai head on.

That wasn't the plan.. But close enough... They had each operated pretty well for a surprise attack.

He had come at his teacher with full force. Exactly what he had asked for, if this was a life or death fight; going easy was not an option. Migoto actually enjoyed this type of training. It got the adrenaline and chakra flowing, his heart racing. It was exilerating. But in training you are bound to make a slip up.

Not knowing the full extent off his jutsu, Migoto foolishly rushed in. It just so happened that his teammates had broken mirrors while he was thrown away like a rag doll. He hypothesized he was thrown because of equivalent exchange of force. While his teammates broke through because they used chakra. He would really have to try and learn that in his down time.

Sent rolling from his head long collision he regained his composure. It was time he used his favorite technique. Placeing both of his legs shoulder width apart and in a slight bend he initiated the technique, it would be short and sweet. He concentrated his chakra and with one great stomp, transferred it to the ground. in moments, ten small arrow shaped stoned levitated to eye level. Making the Rat hand seal his chakra made another transfer, from Earth to Lighning; charging the stones with positive electricity. The sparkes kept a constant connection between the stones, creating a net."Watch out guys!", Migoto yelled. Before sending the electrified arrow heads towards his teacher at a break neck
pace.

Alessi grinned when her chakra scalpel went through the mirrors. It didn't matter if the power behind it diminished. It still meant she was able to use the jutsu pretty effectively. Alessi felt the chakra go through something which she wasn't quite sure about. All that could race through her mind is if she actually hurt her sensei. If so, she might have to patch him up with some good old medical ninjutsu. Not only Zenchi though. If Migoto or Matako needed some assistance, she would be glad to oblige. After her hand was brought away from where Zenchi was, she quickly gained a good distance away from her sensei and examined how the others were doing. Overall, they worked well in their attack. It wasn't necessarily perfect, but it still did some damage.

"Watch out guys!"

Alessi's sight darted to Migoto when he yelled to her and Makato. Tilting her head for only a moment, she could see what her teammate was preparing to unleash. She saw how the electricity crackled around the earth that Migoto formed and launched at Zenchi. Her best option was to wait it out and re-group with her team. After the attack had been launched, Alessi moved forward to get a little closer to the fight. She would need to react in the proper manner depending on if the attack was successful or not.

Oh, great....

They just kept getting up, and getting up, and getting up. Truly inheritors of Iwa's Will of Stone, never giving up no matter what.

But.... Zen had to hold his own against them. What would it say about him--about Iwa's taste in promotions--if he couldn't defeat these Genin? For that purpose, and his own personal preoccupations about how they might disobey him....That was Zen. Thoughts racing constantly.

So, he did the logical thing. He defended. He didn't need to defeat his students; just hold them off until they were exhausted. His Mirror Clone caught the chakra blade that Makato had manifested between its two similar Ethereal Blades. It parried most of the Genin's blows with the same finesse as its creator, but it would get hit once before retreating from the barrage.

Next up was Migoto.... He had summoned...electric earth? That was an odd combo. But his student sent a fusillade of small, pointed rocks at Zenchi. He had, what, eight mirrors left? This was in the bag. He clapped his hands together as his Clone readied its Ethereal Blades. All of his mirrors, at once, appeared before him; he was now at ground level with the rest of them. He carefully positioned his mirrors to line up with the 'arrows'..."Reflect Arts! Mirror Shot!" Six of his mirrors would fire bullets of light and chakra at the projectiles; each would neutralize the other. Just in case some of his bullets missed, and for the ones he didn't parry at all, his Clone swung around its Blades in a rather fast fashion, hitting three of the electrified stones....

Zen pulled up his sleeve. He knew he couldn't dodge the last one. But he did not wish for his Black Coat to get ripped. So he took the attack in the arm.... which took a minor cut. Not on an artery. But it sure hurt; and now his arm was feeling numb. Zen would have to do something that only required one hand.....Utilizing his still-active Mirror Shot technique, he caused his last two mirrors to emit a bright, stunning flash. Next....Kanashibari no Jutsu!" Making the Seal of Confrontation, he would concentrate his chakra to one hand. Using all the speed available to a Toku-Jounin, Zen would rush up to each of his students--Migoto, Makato, then Alessi--and transfer some chakra into their bodies. Redoing his Seal of Confrontation, he would initiate the Temporary Paralysis Technique, which would instantly restrict all movement by those he touched.

Makato was no longer paying much attention to his teammates or the even the real Zenchi. He was now completely focused on attempting to finish the job with his clone. He figured that once the clone was gone it would be easier for each of them to focus on defeating their sensai in the challenge. Out of the barrage of sword thrusts which Makato delivered, one of them managed to crack a piece of mirror. Great. The young genin wasted no time. After Makato delivered the blows, the clone retreated and helped his master fight off his two teamates. Right when the clone stopped spinning, Makato saw his opportunity. The clone would probably be a bit dissoriented after the spin as Makato made his move upon the clone. He jumped forward full speed, his blade trailing behind him. He brought the blade forward, and stopped around 3 feet infront of the clone. He then made a stab at the broken part of the mirror which he had stabbed in the first place. Hopefully this would damage it further. Before Makato could make any more jabs, however, he was halted.

Makato still had his arm cocked backwards, ready to make a big stab at his opponent, when suddenyl he felt a surge of chakra from a light tap on his back. He only had a bit of time to look behind him and see everything that was happening. He processed it all quite quickly. Zenchi had already passed by Migoto the same way he had to Makato. He didn't know if Migoto was hit by the technique, but there was only one person who hadn't been: Alessi. Makato didn't know what Zenchi was doing for whatever he had done had yet to take any effect, but he turned around while he could.

"Alessi, watch out!"

Makato yelled this hopefully to give Alessi a chance to evade the attack. It was a good move, because right after he yelled towards Alessi, his felt a tingling sensation which swept across his entire body. Makato's eyes widened as his stance was stuck holding a kunai outwards. His inability to move his body left him unable to continue his chakra flow technique, the chakra at the tip of the blade dying down as the seconds passed. He stood completely paralyzed, watching the rest of the events unfold.

His attack had hit home! He had actually wounded a Jonin, that was a monumental accomplishment for someone of his rank. While his other arrow heads were being picked off by his light rays, one slipped by.Even though Zenchi only took it into the shoulder, it was still a wound. Recovering from his chakra loss, which was about half, he got into his stance. He was ready to engage his master in another taijutsu contest. The plan had done its job and allowed them all to get the edge on there master. This was probably the most productive training session. A newly formed team in a real life fight. Against a Jonin of superior skill, speed, and strength, they were doing pretty good.

They were going through his mirrors like a fat kid goes through sweets. They had cooperated as an effective and efficient team. And above that, broke Zenchi's defense. Readying his next assault, a blur of light flashed by. He was overcome with a tingling feeling, it was foreign chakra that was transferred via a light touch. He had been neutralized, he sit there, still as the dead. Waiting for either the effect to ware off or his teacher to deliver the knock out blow.

Alessi grinned seeing how Migoto's attack hit. Though she might be the one to patch Zenchi up afterwards, she still was happy to see that they were doing some damage to their sensei. At this rate, they might actually be able to win. As a start to begin her next plan of attack, she started to form some hand signs. Doing this, she looked over at her teammates and was just about to congratulate Migoto on a successful hit. Something caught her attention and her reaction of confidence quickly changed when she saw what happened. Migoto had been frozen in place. It was almost like he had been stopped in time. Then she saw Zenchi quickly go for Makato. Fortunately, Makato was able to utter a quick warning before she was going to be hit.

"Mak-" Alessi cut herself off as her teammate went down. Her eyes followed Zenchi as he brought his hand and struck her teammate, and then aimed directly for her. Because of Makato's warning, she had a slight chance to dodge. Watching closely as Zenchi stretched out to hit her, she realized that she wasn't going to be able to dodge. A chance of a counter-attack was what she would be able to do instead. As Zenchi came closer and closer, Alessi formed the chakra around her hand to form the scalpel and swung at Zenchi's arm. It was a blind swing, but would definitely hit his arm if it made contact. There was no doubt in her mind that she got hit. She felt the tingling sensation shoot through her body like a bullet. Because she swung her arm when getting hit, the momentum pushed her forward onto the ground. Face first unfortunately. All of her muscles were tensed up and she couldn't move an inch.

Looks like that was it. All of her teammates were paralyzed in one quick motion. It was a rather good fight. Zenchi came out on top though. Though the fact that three students who were all genin could lay a few good hits on their sensei. Alessi couldn't really praise her teammates in her current condition. Hell, none of them could move either.

Ah, she's quite clever...

His student attempted to hit him again with her chakra-coated hand....Zen now recognized it as a Chakra Scalpel for the way it could hurt him without severing the skin....But it would do no good. He summoned his Clone, which would attempt to block Alessi's strike with its Ethereal Blades. She would cut clean through one, but the other would block her strike before she collapsed on the ground. Whew....

Zen, however, fell on one knee, partially releasing his hold on the students. He began a violent coughing fit while visibly showing signs of pain. Maybe I exerted myself too much... I need to get help for this...

"Alright, Team. The training's over. Kai--Release! I'm afraid that I'm not in the best condition of late, health-wise....You did well, though. I'm impressed by your teamwork. I will send you information if I have any missions for you to go on. Have a nice rest of the day..."

Zen would disappear in a flash of light, moving to their collective blind spot so they couldn't see his exit. Now....he needed to start checking the books for renowned medical professionals.

Makato

D-rank
Makato watched under a paralyzed spell as his teammate, Alessi reacted to the attack. He was facing her direction before he was paralyzed, so he could see her and her sensai's attack quite easily. He willed his entire body to move, but the jutsu was to strong for him as a genin. He watched as his teammate got a good counter-hit on their sensai. However, she was then paralyzed as well, her attack blocked by the clone which he had apparently failed to kill. At one point, when Zenchi fell, Makato was happy because he thought it had meant they'd hurt him. Upon closer and longer inspection, however, he could tell that the coughing fit was a health issue, rather than an injury delivered from the team. Once he was released, he sheathed his kunai and began stretching: he shook each leg, then touched his toes with his fingers keeping his legs straight. He then stretched his arms and took a deep breath, putting his hands on his hips and showing a large grin which swept across his face, his eyes closed. It felt good to be able to move again. Makato looked over towards all of his teammates, smiling at both of them and then at Tenchi. He walked over to where Tenchi was, his face becoming serious. He had to pay respect to the man, especially after what he had just done for his students. His sacrifice did not go unnoticed by Makato. He walked over to his sensai as he was speaking, and he was going to bow to him, as was a customary sign of respect in his clan, yet he disappeared.

"Thank... you."

Makato said the words to the air. He would have to thank his sensai the next time he saw him. Makato returned from his bow, his back becoming straight as he turned around in order to face Alessi and Migoto.

"I hope he feels better."

Makato put his hands behind his head and began to walk away from the training session which had done him so much good. Before he left he saluted both of his teammates, grinning. "See ya guys!" He put up two fingers on his left hand, motioning first to Migoto, then to Alessi. Makato then exited the training session, walking the long route that he would have to take in order to get back home. It had definetely turned out to be a much better day than he had originally expected. He felt as though, not only were his chakra flow abilities increased and a new chakra flow technique learned, but he had gained something even more. His two new teammates, and a powerful sensai. Makato was excited to work with them as a team, because they each added a different dynamic to it, whether through technique or through personality. He felt as though he had made an important step into being a masterful shinobi. He could now practice teamwork and go on more complicated, dangerous and more exciting missions; perhaps even leave Iwa for his first time. This was a start of something new for him. Makato took out his kunai, and fiddled around with it in his left hand as he pondered today's adventure. he held it up towards the sun and smiled.
