Clan History: The Inuzuka are a small clan that originated in Konoha at the time of the village's founding. The clan itself has never been very large in human numbers; although the dogs packs themselves more then make up for it. The association between the Inuzuka and dogs is older then the clan itself; the early members being nothing more then mercenaries that found the animals to be useful. As the relationship grew, they began to incorporate the aspects of ninjutsu and taijutsu that where beginning to spread through the world at those times. After the centuries of conflict that predated the current age, they found themselves entangled in the bloody showdowns between the Senju and Uchiha; in the end aligning themselves with the more powerful Senju and helping to form Konoha from it's earliest days. After a time, the clan itself continued to develop its techniques until they were considerably different from other specialties, and were some of the founders in creating Seijutsu. While not the only clan in the world that utilized canines of some species, the Inuzuka are regarded as especially skilled and devastating with them, even with the inferior numbers of the clan.
Kekkei Genkai Name: Konoha Dog Shinobi
Kekkei Genkai Description:
The Inuzuka clan are renowned for their use of canine pets in combat, and the methods they use to train them. So legendary is the Inuzuka's prowess with shinobi companion dogs, that they are considered one of the Hidden Leaf's most powerful and venerable clans. Inuzuka clan members receive the Animal Affinity Major Positive Special Characteristic for free. In addition, the Inuzuka have developed specialized training methods for their pets, conferring a 20% word count reduction for all Pet Training.
「 動術 / Inuzuka Zujutsu / Inuzuka Command Style 」
Inuzuka pets, due to these Hiden training styles, and the dedication of their master, are granted unique bonuses depending on whether the clan member has chosen a Combat Pet or a Support Pet. Inuzuka Combat Pets benefit from an additional 2-tiers of stats which may be trained above the base for their rank, while Inuzuka Support Pets may learn an additional two techniques above their rank in addition to their normal jutsu limits (max 2 S-rank Jutsu, no SS).
Inuzuka may also perform specialized Combination techniques in conjunction with their pets. Combination techniques are jutsu in the Inuzuka's Jutsu List which utilize their pet in some way as a requirement of their function and activation. These techniques are afforded a single Maximum Value as a free effect and are paid for using 50% of the clan member's and 50% of the pet's chakra, rounding up to nearest 5 in favor of the clan member's Chakra (e.g - a C-rank Combination Technique costs 10 of your Chakra and 5 of your pet's Chakra).
In addition, the soulbonded nature of master and pet taught by the Inuzuka clan confers two other special abilities. The first, is that when applying for sensory techniques which make use of their pet's senses, Inuzuka may have the maximum range as a free effect. The second, more potent ability, is granted by a profound connection shared between them: additional chakra from any source which would be applied to an Inuzuka Clan member or their pet is also conferred to the other in equal measure.
Inuzuka pets benefit from unique Rank-up Rewards, which are automatically acquired whenever a clan member's pet increases in rank, the bonuses are as follows, and are applied to the shinobi's pet -
- D-rank: Free C/D-rank or lower jutsu for Support/Combat pet, may train second Element.
- C-rank: Free B/C-rank or lower jutsu for Support/Combat pet, may train second Specialization.
Combat Pets: May train an additional stat tier (at all ranks).
Support Pets: +10 additional Chakra- B-rank: Free A/B-rank or lower jutsu for Support/Combat pet.
Combat Pets: May select the Agile, Mighty or Stamina Special Characteristics, which must be balanced with their own Negative Characteristic (Pet SCs only count for pets.)
Support Pets: May select the Reflexes, Ace Eye or Quick Learner Special Characteristics, which must be balanced with their own Negative Characteristic (Pet SCs only count for pets.)- A-rank: Free S/A-rank or lower jutsu for Support/Combat pet.
Combat Pets: May train additional stat tier (at all ranks).
Support Pets: +20 additional Chakra.- S-rank: May access the Human Beast Combination Transformation ability.
「 人獣混合変化 / Jinjū Kongō Henge / Human Beast Combination Transformation 」
The Human Beast Transformation ability allows an Inuzuka clan member and their pet to become one, merging together and massively enhancing their prowess. An Inuzuka and their pet may each spend 30 chakra to perform this ability, provided they can make contact with one another. The Inuzuka takes on a monstrous form, increasing to a total size up to 4m long/tall (listed in Human Beast Transformation Template), and altering their appearance. This ability always costs 10 chakra per post to maintain. Additional stat tiers above the base rank for the Inuzuka's ninja rank are added with additional stat tiers of the same type which belong to their pet, and benefit from all Specializations/SCs known by either. Their chakra pool is considered the size of the shinobi and pet's chakra pools combined, they also benefit from any of the pet's natural weapons. Like Senjutsu, the Beast Transformation benefits from a special ability applied for with it, which is equivalent to a B-rank maintainable technique with no maximum values.
In addition, techniques performed while this ability is maintained always cost an additional 5 chakra, and have any damage effects enhanced to the maximum for their rank. Reaching the Lethal Damage Threshold, or dropping below a total of 50 chakra immediately ends this ability, and commences its six post cooldown. When this ability ends, the remaining chakra pool is divided evenly among the shinobi and their pet, rounded up to the nearest five in favor of the shinobi.
Once unlocked, this ability is applied for as a technique using the Beast Transformation Template below and displayed at the top of the Inuzuka's Jutsu List -
Name: (The name of this Inuzuka's transformation, if different from their pet or normal name.)
Appearance: (The physical characteristics of the fused form, including natural weapons, size increase and proportions.)
Ability: (This Transformation's ability. Equivalent to a B-rank maintainable technique with no maximum values.)

Drawbacks:
Due to the Inuzuka's focus on their pets, many find it impossible to dedicate themselves completely to other areas of shinobi study. Inuzuka clansmen must take either the Hesitant Element or Hesitant Specialization negative Special Characteristic and are unable to balance it. In addition, they must take the custom Inuzuka Bond negative Special Characteristic and are unable to balance it -
Name: Inuzuka Bond
Type: Negative
Description: This shinobi has an intense bond with their animal companion, they are as important as family, best friends, or soulmates. Shinobi with this special characteristic will go to all lengths to prevent serious harm from befalling their companion, exhausting themselves to defend them when times are dire. In addition, if their companion is rendered unconscious, or reaches the Lethal Damage Threshold, this shinobi will become unable to fight as normal, blinded by grief or rage, resulting in -4-tiers of Perception until their companion is returned to a normal state.

Inuzuka clansmen, on their own, are not remarkable shinobi. Their strength comes from their storied skill with their companions, not from the raw power of their genes alone. Inzuzuka clan members have their maximum chakra pool reduced by 50 chakra. And as a result of their strong bond to their pets, neither Inuzuka or their Pets may learn Senjutsu.
