To become a shinobi is to walk a hard path in life. That was true for any individual hoping to take such a job in order to follow their desires and aspirations, to make it something akin to reality. To wield the power of Gods and to destroy man with it on a whim, although there is such a thing as a balance. For every good must come a bad, and every virtue is paved with an endless amount of sin. This assignment Anri and Taeru were sent on was no different, as apparently a call for help has been received, and the information involved five different bandits, men that had desired to take the hardest path of being scum and oppress others with false notions of power and control. They take what they wish and damn anyone that steps over that right that they hold.
Life wasn't that simple, however. For every villain there are people that will stop them. They don't have to be heroes or vigilantes or even good Samaritans, but instead men and women that had enough and are willing to stand tall against the crashing waves of evil, even if it means putting themselves at risk, as well. These five individuals that had decided to act as wolves ruling over a forest of rabbits, their greed keeping their teeth sharpened and their malice making their claws bury deep. They would be stopped. Their fate was decided by a daily roll of the dice of fate, an inevitability that, when they go bust and rolle a pair of snake eyes, their own deed would come to an end like the epilogue of a book.
"I don't see why we're both going, especially when you're more than enough for them alone. W-Wouldn't I just hold you back?" The bandaged Anri would ask his partner as they would be before this lone town located nearby the border, his hospital garb slightly dirtied by dust and his bare feet making their home on the rough rocks underneath. He hadn't a clue as to why he was aiding her on these missions, but he guessed they beat just hiding out in that hideout all day, doing nothing else but recovering further. For a taste of freedom the price of returning to duty was not something he had expected, but there were worse outcomes.
A man was waiting for them at the village, one that looks middle aged and out of shape, wearing a hat of straw and having on a sleeveless jacket, a belt of tools dangling from his waist. Under his nose was a thick mustache of grey color, bushy, to say the least, and as they approached, he immediately approached them as well, his hands held outwards on each side. "There you both are! I've been waitin' for ya both to come for a bit now!" He would say, though not in a tone portraying impatience but instead relief. "Now that you're both 'ere you can stop this mess, right?" He asked, specifically looking towards Taeru, more than likely assuming the bandaged individual next to her wasn't actually the leader, which wouldn't be wrong, but still, that kind of hurt.
