Lynn Uchiha
D-rank
The rivers within a dry land...it was Lynn's last ace in his lost hands, at that time. Sunagakure was his salvation from the plagues of the past, and his first goal of avoiding emotional bonds with anyone that would test him for a relationship. He met many great people in his time there, though, something he could have never imagined for himself or this Village. There was the new Kage, Midori, who promised the safety and rehabilitation of their people, and whom he had come to admire among any other authority figure. Kuno, his best friend - an unlikely one, as he was another of the Uchiha clan - had shown him that not everyone from said place was not as bad anymore, and that there was hope for the both of them in this world. Lillith, one of his squad mates of whom he had taken a keen interest in once training began. He even thought about asking her out on a date one time. Then, finally, there was his Squad Leader, Syekren. They had gotten close enough to where he had been getting private lessons, and Lynn felt like if it continued long enough, he'd have Sharingan. Of course, he knew that was impossible. He didn't have eyes; it was a blasphemous thought!
"But good times never last.
It was all a flash, that long, hateful night. The scent of smoke was what had woken him up...along with the screams of the innocent. His usual immediate reaction would be to grab his sword and help whoever was making such a frightful noise...and, well, that's exactly what he did...not that it would help. No, the fires were too strong now. Not only that, his jutsu wouldn't have worked on flares of such strength...this had to be the doing of an enemy ninja...an enemy he wasn't qualified to handle. There was no path to his allies, anyway...only one way out, and that was it. All of his Ryo back at home, his belongings asides the clothes on his back, were to burn down with it. The escape was easy on its own...a whole group of refugees were out there waiting for him to get together with. What was hard, was watching it all fall down...with no one that he cared for making it out. Not even Midori had made it out...he assumed she died protecting their home. Either way, Lynn could not describe how hard it was to watch what he started to hold dear to his heart turn to ashes. It was so intense that he felt nothing at all. He didn't shed one tear. He scolded himself for not doing so, but he couldn't deny that he saw it coming...that he was sure to be doomed, repeating the cycle. He wouldn't let it happen again. This time, however, it wouldn't be avoiding it entirely...what he really needed was experience. Enough to take on any threat, and save his loves ones...
"Never again."
Around a week had passed now, and the Chuunin Exams were taking place in Kumogakure, a foreign village to him. He planned on enrolling within their ranks once his request to the Raikage had been carried out, but for now, he would watch how events played out. He didn't plan on taking part of them, as he wasn't a fighter; not that he could, as sign-ups had already been taken down. But that didn't mean he couldn't meet new people...and that he wouldn't be picky about it. Only those with a somewhat nice aura to them would he react to, as he couldn't rely on sight. It was up to fate to play the game for him...
