Weeks had gone by since the mysterious trader had left. Verdandi was still trying to figure out what this was all about. They certainly pulled a good deal out for themselves on both sides but she wasn't really sure if she could trust that man. Never the less. The science team had done all its potential research on the eye in question and was clueless towards what to do with it now. Weeks of contemplation had gone by and Verdandi, who had been wearing her Eyepatch over her right eye since she was but of fourteen years. Fighting the blindness that was creeping up into the core of her weak eye, had more and more come to terms with her family's suggestion to put the weapon of their enemy to use in the most practical way possible. Now that all data had been covered. More research on the deeper levels of the Sharingan's mechanics could only be deducted by actually using it. Many of the Yuki and Dao Clan had offered themselves to play the guinea pig on this task. However, Verdandi's situation and the fact that she and her sisters acquired the bio weapon, had put her in direct favour.
It took her a few weeks of contemplation if it was a good idea or not to tarnish her body with the weapon of the devil. Since the days of Hao, these eyes had always been seen as nothing but the very source of evil that befell their land. Verdandi was yet still unaware if her adoption to the eye would slowly turn herself in the very monster they shunned, or if it really would imply power and control over what they had feared for so long. Most medical concerns however were nullified by Deacon, Verdandi's father and medic, whom made sure that if anything went terribly wrong with the project in the long run, they could always remove the eye again and replace it with one of the healthy organs in their store. Seeing how Verd was going blind there, it didn't really make sense to not try it at least, the surgery was incoming anyway. Why not combine both evils and try to create something of potential use from it? Verdandi had been set up for surgery, prepared for the last few days and weeks. Trained to deal with the after effects and set up for recovery ahead.
They didn't want to do it in one of the simple tents. So, they moved the whole project to a little, clean building nearby the Yuki encampment. Sterilized, disinfected multiple times. Despite the low risks that usually came along on this kind of surgery compared to others. Still many things could go wrong. For this very reason, Deacon had refused to do the surgery with his mere B-Ranked skillset in medical training. The Dao's would certainly save no expenses to hire a proper professional for this one. A multitude of support staff was already in place. The room was set up and ready to go. Verdandi still nervously paced up and down the corridors. Sometimes lifting her eye-patch, closing her healthy one to get a last good feeling of how the world was shadowy and faded within this oculus. She couldn't imagine how it'd feel like to suddenly be able to see again fully. Even more so with an eye that supposedly showed you things far beyond a normal human's capabilities.
Studying the various scrolls, they had on Hao and the Uchiha Clan, Verd had spent many nights trying to figure out how it would be to have this. Reports from previously conducted transplants that were successful, hinted towards the drawback that they couldn't shut off their eye ability. Forcing them to either wear an eyepatch just as she did now already or live with the exhausting chakra surge of the Sharingan. Verdandi took in a deep breath. To be simply able to see with both eyes, even if it wasn't all day long and gaining another strength enhancing tool for her path to become the powerful Ninjutsu Master she was aiming for. She couldn't really choose if she was intensely excited or horribly scared by the whole prospect. Deacon was trying to calm her down. Having complete faith in the skills of the hired shinobi. But before the transplant would happen Verd would have to meet the man going by the name of Tsuyo. While her father seemed to know him at least by his name. Verd had no idea about the deeper connections of him and his own past with her aunt Ayakashi.
Verd was simply said, too focused on the potential results. Distracted to say at least. Not to mention that, despite her own interest in medical care, she certainly disliked actual surgery. Verd wasn't really sure if she'd remain conscious or not. She was hoping to be sent to a comfy dreamworld while this all happened. If that was possible was yet to be seen. Literally. The doctor would get to decide what exact procedure would require from the spoiled young ice princess. The Yuki complex was in motion. The guards of the camp were covering the whole area. Verdandi's sisters tried to distract themselves with the ongoing diplomatic contracts and trade offers. However, the actual seller of the eye had long since left the trading camps. While the origins of this eye would remain a mystery to the Yuki Clan. The traders story had its own legit parts. According to Maigo, Verdandi's Uchiha Squad leader, there was no hint towards any members going recently missing. He could however not give full closure over it, considering how scattered the Clan had become and that many of them not rarely fought each other these days. He also didn't seem bothered if not even intrigued by the fact that one of his students would end up with a weapon of his own blood. But time for preparation was almost up. The hired medical genius was supposed to arrive any minute now.
