Masu

Masu

D-rank
Masu slowly walked throughout the Land of Wind after witnessing the destruction of the nation itself, the crumbles and misfortune throughout the whole of the village, their legacy was taken away and turned to ashes and dust. The buildings which had been previously up just turned into stones and rooftops on the ground, getting buried throughout the sand.
The landscape was changed to no ends, you couldn't even tell that this used to be a thriving city. Nothing was left to be enjoyed just sand and lots of buildings just crumbling and barely staying up that a small wind could pass by and just knock over a building. Masu kept her hood up, and walked through the sandy terrain nothing but wind rushing and slamming against her, forcing her to hold down her hood over her head and avoid any sand which was oncoming and would enter her eyes. The sound of the wind whaling past her just glistening through was loud and it seemed as if a sandstorm was brewing, sand rushing throughout underneath her and the small little tornadoes forming because of the treacherous wind near by. She quickly ran trying to avoid any more oncoming wind which would be able to take her off her own feet, running out from the open into a more secluded area and chose to go behind a small little structure just to protect herself from small little wind blasts or sand. Masu checked her bag and pulled out her map taking a look at how far her journey. "I'm not even half way yet oh god there is so much more I have to get through and this is just the start of the journey to the Village Hidden in the Mist." Masu trucked on as the wind died down she set foot again, slowly the wind didn't seem to be a problem anymore, more the sand getting in her shoes continued to be annoying, she had to keep emptying her pockets and shoes, even her bag at one point as the sand continued to stock up and pile into her clothes. As the smells of the environment seemed to just consist of a chunky and rusty sensual smell, even the taste of rust could be felt as well, probably because of the burning rubble and heaps of broken buildings around Masu. As she continued walking she felt like she deserved a break and decided to sit herself down pulling out a blanket and rustling it a few times then finally placing it down on the ground. Masu pulled out her map again and placed a few rocks from the ground on top of the map to stop it from flying away and losing it, she then pulled out some containers of food and some water to try and keep her energized. Masu would usually opt for some green tea yet the heat was to hot to bare for some green tea, and since she was in the middle of the desert she decided the smartest idea was to keep hydrated with plenty of water so she wouldn't pass out and be left for dead. Masu opened one of her containers which had some sushi and some rice, she dipped the cold sushi into some soy sauce and had a bit of rice to add on. The taste was refreshing since she had not eaten for a few hours and the extra energy she gained would help her get through to Kirigakure in no time. The smell of soy sauce hit her nostrils hard and the taste of Umami hitting her mouth seemed more delicious than ever. Masu decided just to enjoy her last few hours in Kaze No Kuni, as she probably won't be returning for a long time, maybe until the rebirth of the land or until something calls to her, anyway she had heard of the great Swordsman in the Village Hidden in the Mist, and wanted to find them to help her increase her power and what she could accomplish if she could master a sword, maybe even a staff. But Masu was getting ahead of herself as usual, but she knew what she could accomplish and this was one of the goals she always wanted to do. Masu emptied her bag to get rid of anymore sand which had been left over as she hated the feeling of sand in her clothes or left in her bag. She closed her containers and put them back into her bag, as she knew she wasn't going to be eating again until dinner time. She pulled the map from under neath the rocks and slowly rolled the paper back into the bag being careful not to damage it as she always liked to have her things neat and ready for use. She rustled the towel to get anymore sand probably spending way to much extra time on the towel and finally wrapped it up and moved it back into her backpack for safe keeping. Quickly she put her bag and strapped it under both of her arms and started walking again. Masu knew she had to travel past the Land of Rivers and the Hidden Leaf Village, which was familiar with some sense which made her a little more comfortable than before as she at least had some direction and sense of movement and where she had to actually go. On the way Masu had retraced a few of her previous routes from staying in Konoha for a long time, as she noticed the same type of paths she used to take which cut time in half, the wind was mild as the leaves floated in the wind and the trees swaying with each movement, some leaves even getting in the face of Masu herself. She placed her hands on the ground and noted that some of the trees surrounding her been cut off probably from a recent fight or something. A few minutes passed and Masu continued venturing on noticing sound coming from her East, it seemed as if a fight was taking place just as she suspected. As interested as Masu was to join into the fray she didn't have any time to lose and the recent Chunnin Exams showed her that she needed to become better than what she is now, and has no time to dilly dally. Masu thought back to herself of her tireless movement and running and how she would like to settle and be able to relax in a single place without having to go back and forth consistently. How much easier it would be for her and the inconvenience of travelling could finally stop, and that she could master and hone all of her skills in one area.

Masu would stop for a moment and take out her bag one last time for her last dinner until she would near closer to the Hidden Mist Village, she pulled out the rest of her Sushi and rice, as she thought only to just enjoy the view of nature and the chirping birds around her. Nature was such a way out the world for her as she could just listen to the birds chirp for hours, and the flowers blooming right in front of her, she used it as an escape tool from reality and all of her problems. She continued chomping down on her food unconsciously not even realising that she was very few bites that she nearly choked on her own food many times, yet she slurped down heaps of her food with green tea to not keep any of it stuck in her throat. The last drops of sushi finally hit her mouth, the rice from some of the sushi came crashing down and splattered all around her legs and the ground. "Oh crap thats my last sushi god dammit" Masu was frustrated with her sushi but didn't have time to bicker and be disappointed over it, she put the containers back into her bag and left in the middle of the forest dispersing into the darkness of the forest in the direction of Kiri. Masu was nearing closer and closer from the darkness of the woods, weird sounding animals came from inside the woods, wolfs, owls, beasts of the unknown. Masu wasn't exactly the brightest for all those things but she decided that whatever they are she could probably take them if she really needed to but wanted to avoid fighting at any costs necessary. The stench of the woods seemed to reek of a disgusting odor probably from a bunch animals smells and waste which had been probably dumped from a bunch of bandits to avoid having to pay fees for their dump or be prosecuted for such. Masu hated the terrible stench so much that she had to cover her nose with her hoodie as if she inhaled another bit of the stench she would throw up, quickly she ran faster than ever before trying to get out of the forest. As Masu was racing towards a light the sooner she got out of the forest she noticed a small port which took passengers over to the village she quickly opted for a ticket and waited upon her dismissal, as the time neared closer the seaman, asked all passengers to make their way over towards the ship as they would be departing soon, and that it would take a while until they would reach The Village Hidden in the Mist. Masu grew more intense with feelings as she was finally excited to make ti all the way to the village which had been talked about everywhere.
