Mission name: Deliver the Flyers
Mission rank: D
Objective: Deliver exams flyers to villagers and visitors
Location: Kumogakure no Sato
Reward: 1 EP
Mission Description: For some reason or another, people may not know fully about the chuunin exams, or there may be details that aren’t yet known. Simply deliver detailed and updated flyers of the exams’ participating ninja/villages and return to the administration building when your job is done.
Mission Details: You will be given a large stack of flyers that have information regarding the exams’ participants, and are asked to deliver the flyers to people you see around the village. You may hang them up on buildings and other places that are easily seen, or simply do a mail service and deliver them to the residents and visitors of Kumogakure no Sato. The method of delivery is up to you.
Mission name: Obstacle Course Set-Up
Mission rank: C
Objective: Help Set Up An Obstacle Course
Location: Kumogakure no Sato
Reward: 1 EP
Mission Description: While the genin are busy preparing for the first few trials they will need to go through, or after they have completed the course, you will simply need to reset the traps, or set new ones up.
Mission Details: Fairly straight forward, you can help in a number of ways. By electrifying wire meshes, setting up wire, reloading senbon/shuriken launchers, digging sand traps, or other miscellaneous tasks. Be careful not to set off any of the traps you’re working on, there’s no proctors to rescue you here.
Syekren set out from the administration building, with a large sack of flyers attached to his back via a leather strap. He was to deliver them about the village in any way he saw fit, then he was going to be off to the exams stage to set up the traps that the genin would have to run through in the obstacle course. He had quite the busy schedule for a ninja that was close to retiring age, but he felt as fit as a fiddle despite being a man of thirty years. He would hurry to get these jobs done so that he could relax and watch the exams, cheering his student, Izumi Karisuma on as she fought the other genin. There was much to do and these two tasks weren't even the tip of the iceberg for him. From what he remembered of other tasks, he would have to actually capture wild animals or clear them from the back of the great Genbu.
The ninja sighed as he ran through the village, pulling the flyers out that were laced with a special substance to have them stick to surfaces they were placed on until removed. He would pull one out and slap it onto a building's side, then move on to the next. Telephone poles and buildings would all get decorated with the flyers in his run through the village, the ninja thinking to himself the entire time that he thought he would be above such menial tasks. He didn't actually mind doing the work, but it was quit a bit of duty for someone of his rank and station. He was a former ANBU for godsake, and here he was in the middle of the morning dashing about to deliver and hang flyers for the chuunin exams when he could be a proctor or even looking for missing ninja.
Syekren stopped amidst a small gathering of people, handing one flyer out to the lot of them, bowing his head respectfully as they accepted his gift. They would of course look them over to see just how many of the ninja from the hosting village of the clouds would be participating. Which was, to be fair, quite a few, but not as many as they probably would have liked. Such was the case of a declining village, but thankfully for the people, there was a new Raikage as well as the exams taking place. This would bring popularity that was much needed for the village to bolster its numbers and hopefully lead it back into the prosperity it once knew three centuries ago after the end of the fourth great shinobi war. Syekren stopped in his delvieries, looking up to the sky as he pondered how his life came to the situation he was in at that point. He sighed and shook his head after a moment, returning to his duty of running about the village, hanging and delivering flyers.
He stopped to chat with a few shop owners who were just opening up, waiting for the steady influx of customers the exams could bring. Being a shop of miscellaneous items and weapons, there was likely no end to the profits one could make off of war and battles or even trials. He was allowed to hang a few posters on their building and took the time to discuss his other task with them, setting traps in the obstacle course for the genin. They were a bit taken aback by something so dangerous for a moment, but realized that such a thing was good for those who wanted to become greater than the bottom rung. They would supply his tools and traps if needed, and asked that he advertise their shop when he set the traps with their tools and such, so that it would drum up even more business. The ninja nodded in acceptance, thanking them for their time and promising to stop by before he went off to his next task. For now, he'd have to finish handing out the flyers.
He walked about the village now, running low on flyers in his sack, taking a leisurely stroll to save his energy. He'd done enough running initially to make sure that his quota would be met. He was only one of many delivery persons and would likely run out before he even covered a sixth of the village. This was all well and good though, as he finished handing out flyers to another small crowd of people looking about the village, they thanked him and he bowed, reaching into his sack to get a count. When his hand touched nothing but hard leather, the man knew this task was complete and he dashed back towards the shop owners' weapons store so that he could fill the sack with their tools to use for the next object of the day: setting trap in the obstacle course for the genin in the exams.
