Mission name: Misinformant (Village Version)
Mission rank: D
Objective: Relay wrong information to an opposing faction.
Location: Any non-wilderness Village area
Reward: 150 Ryo + 25 per 100 extra words (max: +150 ryo for +600 wc)

Mission description:
Your allies aim to cause confusion within the ranks of the opposing faction. You, as an unknown element, are to deliver that false information as a courier.

Mission details:
The shinobi of the Village aim to lure out a local bandit leader who's notoriously known to be a scaredy cat. With some false information at hand, you're to assume the looks of a bandit and deliver some mail in the downtown district. While you shouldn't be in any direct danger, do be careful when dealing with bandits.

You fail the mission if the letter is lost one way or the other, or you get caught while delivering.

Zeref held the fake letter in his hand, the task was simple; he was to assume the role of a bandit head downtown, and allow the letter to fall in the hands of either the leader of the faction, or one of his men. Zeref did not read what was in the letter, or even ask what it said, he honestly did not care one way or another, it was a mission and a simple one at that he would be done by noon if all went well. Looking in his bedroom mirror he pulled up a half face mask to cover the lower half of his face, and tired his long sliver hair back in a loose ponytail. He eyed the forehead protector that was awarded to him for becoming a genin of the village, he never wore it anyways so leaving it behind did not bother in the slightest. Slipping the letter into his back pocket he turned and slipped out his door of his loft heading outside.

Although the mission was simple, Zeref was given little information, he did not know where the faction liked to do their work, no idea what their attire was, what the leader looked like, all in all the Intel was lacking to say the least. Zeref being one who liked to be prepaid, spent the last week setting up for the mission. Over the last few days Zeref, in his normal attire, spread rumors about his bandit alter-ego around the local shops, knowing gossip was a powerful tool. Telling the locals that 'he' was a a a wanted for questioning for selling secrets of the village. Zeref knew the locals would not remember the vague details of his alter ego self well enough to get him arrested, but they would talk enough to hopefully catch the ear of the target leader or members of the faction.

Zeref did not want to be in direct contact with the bandits, they most likely traveled in groups, were stronger them him and would easily over power him. His hope was to have the faction tail him and grab the letter from the drop point, that way there was less of a risk of a fight and meant he would not have to come up with a story to tell anyone. Zeref also had a sneaky suspicion that this was not a real mission to even begin with, rather a test given to genin, after all why would they send a genin on a mission that was meant to draw the attention of a faction of bandits? No, even if the village only thought of genin as tools, they would not risk their tools on something as small as dropping a letter off. If Zerefs hunch was correct he would place the letter at the drop site, and a village shinobi would pick it up dressed as a bandit. Truth be told he did not care if that was the case, it just meant that the mission was that much easier to complete and get paid for.

Zeref rounded the corner and slipped into a side ally, he was getting closer to the target drop site, which meant he should start acting like someone who was dropping off intel. This was Zerefs second mission, yesterday it was helping some kid in sneaking into a teachers office to drop off the answers to the test he had stolen, and today it was dropping of a fake intel report, these 'missions' were boring and were not testing Zeref at all. So far the only good thing about these 'missions' were the decent pay they gave him, other than that they were useless. He did not have to fight anyone, use any notable skill or jutsu to complete them either, basically it was go from point A to B. Zeref was starting to realize the only way to get stronger was to hurry up and track down other shinobi and join a team. Once on a team he could train with them, spar and take harder missions. It was the best option and fastest way to get to where he wanted to be, and to get stronger.

Moving from alley to alleyway Zeref made his way towards the drop site. The drop site was near a small park on the west side of the village, Zeref was to place the letter under a bench and then leave without having a local think he dropped the letter. It was a pretty lame plan. If this was a real mission, that was the best the shinobi of the village could come up with, placing a letter under some bench near a park? Zeref shook his head at the thought, he was pretty sure when it came to planing this village was useless, and most likely would depend on numbers or just straight power to win a battle over strategy. "Play to your strengths." was what his father always told Zeref, and he guessed bad planning and force was the villages strength, maybe he has not seen any powerful shinobi either. Zeref hoped there were strong shinobi with in the village, other wise they would be screwed in a war, not that it mattered to him either way.

Zeref stopped at the end of the alley he was in, he could see the park just ahead, the only way to know what bench was the target bench was the fact there was a small tree behind it. Scanning the area he spotted the bench with the tree, it was the only one that was near a tree so it made it easy, just another reason Zeref thought this village strategical planning was lacking. Zeref shook his head walking out from the alleyway and headed towards the bench keeping an eye out for any "bandits." Once he saw that it was clear he walked to the bench and knelled acting like he was fixing his boot. As he was pretending to fixing his boot, he took out the letter  from his pocket and slide it under the bench, using a small rock to hold it down so a gust of wind wouldn't take it away. Standing up Zeref moved away from the bench and headed back towards the alleyway, as he slipped into the shadows he saw a figure quickly run to the bench grab the letter and take off down the road. Zeref watched before turning his back to the park and headed back towards the center of the village. The mission was completed, all he had to do was report and get paid. Not counting the time it took to spread the fake rumors, the mission itself only took an hour, it was literally a walk in the park. If these were the only missions Zeref could take, he may just go crazy out of boredom.
