A caravan had been sent ahead. Syekren stood on the top of the gates, looking out at the endless sea of sand. His caravan of items was sent to a specific place in konoha. There had been a few people he'd met in Konohagakure years back that he needed to meet up with again, and Syekren had other business to attend. He'd asked the few contacts he had there to send him files on his clan so that he may learn more about them for the days to come. He'd let them know of his meeting with the spirit of Hao, an uchiha that once had sought the destruction of their village. It came to pass that he'd received a letter a few days passed detailing there was new information to be had, but he'd have to ask the Hokage for anything about it.
From what Syekren had gathered, there was a change in leadership recently and someone new had been appointed as head of the leaf village. While this wasn't a boon nor ill for the Uchiha, it was the best lead he had in finding the information he needed. Without waiting much longer he looked back at the village hidden in the sand and sighed, then jumped down from his perch and crouched into his landing upon the soft sand below. None would know of his sudden disappearance until he'd been gone too long for them to give chase. Not that anyone would be around to care or stop him. Just like with Suzume, the Kazekage had gone off the grid once more, making it so the village had no real leadership to speak of again. With determination in mind, the ninja would sprint out in the direction of the border to Kaze no kuni, planning to head for Hi no kuni and the village hidden in the leaves.
This was the first time in a long time Syekren was leaving the village without permission. It was also the first time he didn't care. The sand village held nothing else for him, with the council, his parents wanting his death, and the hive of scum and villainy.. it was only a matter of time before Syekren went on to pursue other opportunities. With his tanto in the normal place on the back left of his belt, the shinobi formerly of the sand was making his way towards his destiny at the fastest speeds he could manage. He was not running from something, as he knew no matter who they sent he could kill them, but he was running to something. The prospect of his clan's heritage and history. It was a few days of lengthy travel, a few nights of rest, but at the end of it Syekren had reached the village hidden in the leaves without any fuss. Sunagakure no sato was left behind, with no inclination of what the Uchiha was doing or where he'd gone. Just as he intended, the village was behind him until he chose to see its usefulness again.
Syekren was already branded a traitor by the elder council of the village hidden in the sand, but he'd left a note with Midori so that she would know he was still loyal. This time he would likely be branded as a traitor by her as well, citing that he gave no notice of his departure. With his knowledge of the village and with his crime of destroying records possibly being found out by now, there really was no going back. The people he had allied himself with possibly made things more difficult for him in the long run. But he still had two friends he could count on, and rumour had it they called the leaf their home still.
