Clan History:
The Guanyin clan have served for the last two centuries great and renown leaders of nations with pride and respect across the ninja world, dating back to the enigmatic stories of the clans' inception. Serving notably in several great ninja wars as both soldiers, leaders, as well as medics, advisers and personal physicians to the elite. Though the history of their creation goes back many, many decades further.

Once little more than humble farmers and medics in the wide-open land of fire a millennium ago, the Guanyin tended fields and sewed crops over the land taking care of all life within their borders. Their attachment to nature, a strong point for all to see while their fine nimble hands seemingly crafted with the intent purpose to tend farms and weave the finest of silks. Though as the conflicts around them grew to a fever pitch at their sides, their neutrality as well as their open invitation to heal, feed, and cater to anyone who crossed into their land literally caused the war to fissure and break around their peaceful township. As their offer was only open so long as no blood was spilled in their noble lands.

The Guanyin had made themselves a vastly needed commodity in the war, to the point of necessity. Their healing talents rare enough to be needed, their clan once strong and important enough to hold back conflict with their reputation alone, without the need to draw a single weapon. It was not until the war literally wrapped around their village that complications began to occur in the peace of the village. The neutral zone to the aggressors, was too wide, literally becoming a shield for either side to hide behind, drawing the trenches and battlements around it and sealing in the Guanyin. All while simultaneously allowing either side to entrench themselves as any offensive force needed to attack around the province.

The province's two prestigious leaders, brothers, convened in private with one another to discuss what course of action they were to take in the following days. The younger brother of some minutes, Drakpo, said that they should allow the fire country through their Provence, as the defending force was weakest where their village met their battlements because of their trust in the neutral province. This action alone, would end the war and allow them to once again live out their peaceful lives. To which, the older brother Dharma declined vehemently, holding vast to his ideal of neutrality... divided, they could do nothing.

Dharma claimed that their legacy, and peace, was too noble a cause to forfeit for the sake of one conflict, that it would tarnish their clans honor forever, drenching them in dishonor... in these days, it was taboo for a Guanyin to train to wield both the wounding and healing needle. The Guanyin saw wielding both as closing a cycle of power too great for one person to wield alone. So the clan divided their nation among those who would wield the power of the red; most commonly used to kill off infection and spoiled crops, and the blue; which was used to heal and repair that which can be saved. Not a soul was allowed to use the power of both, apart from the two village leaders. And even then, only their legendary father had 'ever' in the nation's history been able to wield two needles of the same colour, it was his power, which led to the action of the taboo...

The father of the brothers had been a legend and prior leader of the village. The initial creator of the red and blue needles he had been able to create two of the same colour which created an effect far exceeding the sum of their parts. It seemed it was the nature of these techniques, to heal even dead cells and kill any trace of living that some claimed the man to have the power to govern life and death itself. However, the founder had left long ago, leaving his sons in equal charge of his legacy and to teach his techniques, instructing them that no person should ever wield both, not trusting any with the power that tortured him at his fingers.

Grossly unsatisfied and angered with his bother's answer Drakpo went to the fire country in secret a week later, offering to them the pathway through their lands to their sworn enemies. However, Dharma was wise, having known his brother for a lifetime he plotted against this known eventuality. So, with his clan united under him, Dharma stood in the path of the country of fire to halt their progress. Warriors of the Guanyin, not yet ninja, stood against Drakpo and the Ninja of Konohagakure in a hopeless conflict to prevent the loss of their honor as a peaceful neutral people. Determination flaring in their eyes as words were lost to actions and lives were lost to the blade.

Those they defended, once long aggressors, came to the aid of the Guanyin people as they fought. thinking that they were under attack for causing a blockade while knowing that they had the Guanyin to thank for the healing of their sick and the provision of food during the long skirmish. So after years of peace, the first drop of blood was finally spilled on the fertile land. Around the brother's as they dueled, many fought and died for their country. Though they fought with both needles, colliding with each other as harmony lay in tatters under grand gestures. As the battle became more and more heated it was apparent to everyone Dharma's pacifism showed in his lack of combat skill. In a final twist of fate, the brothers span and collected each other with a single needle...

Drakpo had driven the offensive needle deep into his brother's chest, as a lethal wound administered into and around Dharmas' heart killing cells throughout his body. Dharma, however, adhering to his greater nature to the end, had not plunged a red needle into his brother, instead of thrusting the blue healing needle into Drakpo, healing the wounds he had caused him throughout the fight, which would have claimed his life shortly after the battle. Dharma, falling to the ground from the wounds lay with a faint smile, choosing the life of his people and handing the duty of leadership to his brother in full.

Drakpo from that moment on deeply regretted his decisions, withdrawing his people from the war in an instant. Joining the Guanyin once again and pushing the battle lines back outwards. After the battle ended, the fallout commenced, the ravaged clan tended to as many of the sick and wounded as they possibly could, but they were thin. The once expansive Guanyin reduced to a poultry ten dozen people from the battle. Their land largely destroyed and put to the flame, the Guanyin were scattered. So, Drakpo ordered families to take up the mark of their clan as nomadic individuals, adding the symbol of the double snake to immortalize the Guanyin brothers. Naming the needle techniques after them, the clan were to travel and attempt to bring whatever peace they could back to the nations they visited. Lifting the limits of the taboo on wielding both needles as every Guanyin, held the future of their clan in their hands.

But this is but one story of the great clan of Guanyin...

Stem Cell Chakra: The Guanyin clan have for hundreds of years exploring the art of healing far deeper than the medics of many other nations. In seclusion, their techniques which culminated into the creation of the red and blue needles discovered a way to utilize chakra in such a manner that allowed their chakra to adapt to the system of a person they were healing, filling a wound with the chakra itself as the chakra took the form of and physically replaced damaged or missing cells, (much the same as what stem cells do in the body) giving it the name 'Stem Cell Chakra'. Oddly enough, the red and blue needles are not a separate technique, although many believe them to be. But rather they are created by generating the blue needle, while simultaneously reversing its Yang aligned healing potential which focuses on the binding to and recovery or replacement of damaged or dead cells into the potential to bind to, damage and kill cells in equal amounts that the technique would heal. Clan members are able to create and use other techniques which use the Guanyin stem cell chakra, however, they cannot activate any that exceed the power of their Needles of Guanyin.
Needle Mastery: The Guanyin clan is also widely known for their superiority with needles as throwing weapons, giving them +2 tiers to perception. Also, the unique throwing style and familiarity the Guanyin have with their throwing style allows them to get more out of the needles at their disposal. Damage from Senbon Items and jutsu increase by one stage (Ie, from minimum D rank damage to medium D rank damage). This damage cannot exceed their rank.
Chakra Nature Polarization: After a 9000 word training thread, the Guanyin can place the following tag: Polarization at the top of their jutsu list with a link to the training in which it was done (training must be approved by a jutsu mod as normal.):

Allowing them with any other healing medical technique at the cost of -10 chakra to transfer the amount that it would heal a person, to damage them in equal amounts, over the same area, over the same time by killing cells as opposed to healing them in equal amounts as tissue damage. This effect has a 2 post-cooldown and can damage done 'cannot' exceed a severity that they would be capable of with their red needle at their current rank unless the medical technique says otherwise. The Needles of Guanyin:

The Iconic art of the Guanyin is the ability to generate a red or blue needle at whim. This technique is so ingrained into the clan, that it has become less of a jutsu and more of a Kekkei Genkai linked with their biological capability. While the needles can only be activated at the user's ninja rank or lower, the strengths, effects, and advantages of each needle depend on the rank in which it is used and are activated by penetrating a target with the tip in which the needle sinks into the wound, ending the technique. Finally, By paying double the chakra cost, the user is capable of creating 'both' the red and blue needle but doing so gives the technique a 3 post cooldown after they end in which they can't be used.

D Rank:
At the cost of -10 chakra every other turn per needle; the Guanyin is capable of generating a 1/2 meter long red or blue thin sewing needle made of their own stem cell chakra. The needles while active are solid and can interact as a weapon to block basic strikes but can be broken by a technique of equal rank.

At this rank the Blue needle upon piercing a target is absorbed into the victim and spreading its energy over a 1/4 meter radius area that is capable of filling/repairing A single wound from a basic attack or a jutsu of C rank or lower on the user's person. While the Red needle, instead, kills cells within that area to inflict a painful blackened major bruise over the same area like a wound with a thin needle-stab at its center which becomes numb and lifeless.

C Rank:

At the cost of -15 chakra each other turn per needle; the Guanyin is capable of generating a single 1/2 meter long red or blue thin sewing needle made of their own stem cell chakra. The needles while active are solid and can interact as a weapon to block basic strikes but can be broken by a technique of equal rank.

At this rank, the Blue needle upon piercing a target is absorbed into the victim and spreading its energy over a 1/2 meter radius area that is capable of filling/repairing the area of a single limb/ the users torso from the damage caused by a single technique as well as 3cm worth of cuts, 2 degrees worth of burns and displaced fractures dealt by basic strikes. While the Red needle, instead, kills cells within that area, inflicting a painful blackened bruise and minor second-degree tissue death with a thin needle-stab at its center, beginning to break down the outer layer of bone replicating hairline fractures and making the area which becomes numb and lifeless.

B Rank:

At the cost of -20 chakra every other post per needle; the Guanyin is capable of generating a single 1/2 meter long red or blue thin sewing needle made of their own stem cell chakra. The needles while active are solid and can interact as a weapon to block basic strikes but can be broken by a technique of equal rank.

At this rank, the Blue needle upon piercing a target is absorbed into the victim and spreading its energy over a single limb or the user's torso that is capable of filling/repairing wounds from a single A rank or lower technique, and is able to regrow a single missing limb or non-vital internal structures over 2 posts as well as wounds caused by basic strikes. While the Red needle, instead, kills cells within that area to inflict a painful blackened wound equal to third-degree tissue damage with a thing needle point at its center, breaking down bones in the area causing a single full fracture worth of damage over 2 posts.

A Rank:

At the cost of -25 chakra every other turn per needle; the Guanyin is capable of generating a single 1/2 meter long red or blue thin sewing needle made of their own stem cell chakra. The needles while active are solid and can interact as a weapon to block basic strikes but can be broken by a technique of equal rank.

At this rank, the Blue needle upon piercing a target is absorbed into the victim and spreading its energy throughout the targets whole body which is capable of healing damage from a single S rank or lower jutsu as well as the wounds from basic attacks, regenerating missing limbs or organs over 2 posts. While the Red needle, instead, kills cells within that area to inflict a painful blackened wound with a thin needle-stab at its center, breaking down bone and petrifying soft tissue and making it crack and crumble on impact at 20m/s from the impact zone outward.

At this rank, this technique can be maintained over long distances by the user without physical contact allowing it to be thrown and reclaimed.

S Rank:

At the cost of -35 chakra every other turn per needle, the Guanyin is capable of generating a single 1/2 meter long red or blue thin sewing needle made of their own stem cell chakra. The needles while active are solid and can interact as a weapon to block basic strikes but can be broken by a technique of equal rank.

At this rank, the Blue needle upon piercing a target administers some of its essence into the victim and spreading its energy throughout the target's whole body which is capable of totally filling/repairing damage from two techniques of equal rank or lower as well as regenerating all damage from basic attacks and lost or missing limbs and organs. While the Red needle, instead, kills cells within that area with a thin needle-stab at its center, breaking down bone and completely petrifying the victim.

At this rank, this technique can be maintained post-administration, allowing them, in theory to heal/ harm multiple beneficiaries/victims.

Drawbacks:

The Guanyin clan is a notable example of the potency and potential of medical ninja. However, they did not grow to strength and prestige without making sacrifices in other areas.

Nimble Bodied: Members of the Guanyin clan are taught to be agile and precise above all else, leaning their combative philosophies to revolve away from the likes of power and defense. Thus, Guanyin clansman blocks basic strikes as if they are a rank higher than normal. Potentially causing a Guanyins’ wrist to fracture when blocking head-on, making it harder to defend against ninja of equal rank or breaking bones when they should be fractured/receiving deeper bruising internal wounds more easily from attacks. Additionally, whenever a Guanyins’ bone would become fractured, it becomes broken instead.
Intense Focus: Guanyin Medical Techniques as well as the Nature Reversal art / Polarization requires a lot of internal focus to generate. Upon being afflicted with a technique which interrupts the flow of the chakra within their chakra system (Ie Genjutsu), It takes a moment to regain that focus, making them unable to use healing techniques which utilize their clans’ stem cell chakra effects / convert medical techniques in the next post before weakening them by 1 rank in the following post. Maintained effects can extend the duration of the weakening effect by a single turn, but following the third turn this effect wears off.
Precision > Power: Chakra needle techniques including the red and blue needle, as they carry little weight or force behind them find it incredibly difficult to penetrate the dense solid chakra that Doton techniques provide, giving all chakra needle techniques -1 rank of effectiveness when interacting with this element and those that utilize it.
Balancing Poles: Positive and Negative chakra Imbalances within a ninja are not something that is easy to deal with for Guanyin. For each turn that a ninja has one of their Guanyin needles active or each time the Guanyin uses or changes the nature of a medical technique, they generate a level of chakra imbalance, either positive or negative. Should a ninja develop a level of both positive and negative imbalance, they negate each other and remove them. Each post the red or blue needle or a medical technique is not used the imbalance normalizes, reducing their negative effects by 1.

For each turn the Red (Drakpo) Needle is active / Each time they make a medical healing technique offensive using nature reversal, the ninja gains a level of Negative Imbalance, which reduces their Strength stat by -1 tier to a maximum of -3.

Likewise, each turn the Blue (Dharma) Needle is active / Each time they activate a healing technique of D rank or higher, the ninja gains a level of Positive imbalance, which reduces their Endurance stat by -1 tier to a maximum of -3.
