After an eventful time in Sunagakure, it was time for Kenji to return home. It was a tad sooner than he would like, but it could not be avoided. His village ultimately came first. His time in Sunagakure was full of great weather. Kasfara could not stand the heat, but Kenji did not mind the soothing heat rays. When he first arrived, the most troublesome aspect of the village was all the sand. But he became acclimated soon. However, he would definitely have to pack differently for his next visit. He did not intend for the much colder climate back home to be troublesome as he was not in Sunagakure for more than a week. Kenji was looking forward to the cool breeze of home. Sunagakure's food was also delicious. Very different from the predominantly seafood diet he has back home. He could get used to the variety of curries and flavorful dishes. This time he bit off more than he could chew with the spicy dish he ordered. He was just trying to impress the Kazekage, but he will choose more wisely next time. Finally, he learned a lot pertaining to puppetry. He had the Kazekage to thank for all he learned. On his mind now was how to further apply his skill, perhaps develop special chakra strings, and then of course design a puppet. It was very new and exciting. As Kenji and Kasfara exited the gates, all they could talk about the great time they had.
A few hours removed from the border, the two started to discuss the matters awaiting them back home. There was new squad forming. One that Kenji was to lead. It was called O zone squad. It was a very special force of young shinobi being assembled. The village's well being and prosperity was significantly affected by the squad's performance. It was Kenji's number one priority at the moment to oversee the squad's development. He had a file of all the members, and he had been studying their profiles diligently. Most of his knowledge was related to physical capabilities. But from that alone, he knew he had a mixed bunch, and the combinations they could form would border on endless. He excited to start working with them. Perhaps unfortunately, Kenji was not that interested in ice breakers or forming relationships. He wanted to get right to forming a well oiled machine and fusing abilities. Amongst the first tasks would also be sharpening combat formations and tactics. There would be time for fun, but Kenji's intel was that of a state of uncertainty. The day and time was not as peaceful as before. Kenji had to prepare them for cold reality. The Sanin would soon see if they could endure the harsh conditions, and if they could breathe as members of the O-Zone squad.
The Raikage, was not someone he knew that well. He had mostly talked to her through assistants and letters. However, he definitely had an initial mission for the squad, but he needed more information about what was going on with the village's relationship with other villages. From a tactical point of view, it would be best to tailor the squad's function to counter the biggest threat. Therefore, his first priority was to orient the squad, and then talk to the Raikage about the status of Kumogakure's relationship with other villages. He had been out of the intel realm for a while, and he needed fresh information. Even if it meant that Kenji would have to put his espionage hat back on, he was willing to in order to secure the safety of his his home.
