D-Rank Mission Find a Shoe:

Jamie had noticed a mission with a strange name, though it only interested him because of recently reading about the tale of a shoe as he went to visit the old man who requested the mission. When he got there the man with his strange hair growing out of the side of his head, with a bald spot on top then stood up. It was then that he noticed how huge this man was as he looked to be two or three times the height of Jamie. It may have been a slight exaggeration as he took a single step back out of fear at first.

The man laughed a bit before squinting his eyes as he laughed a second time. "They sending kids on missions now", as he grinned before stopping to give a contemplating look on his face. "Wait, shinobi start out as kids anyways and wait you do not have a forehead protector, are you not a shinobi?"

As Jamie looked down and answered,"Hi" as the man looked at the boy then thought about it for a bit. "well, it is an easy mission so it should be okay. Now look here, i got this shoe on my foot here, now i need you to find the matching shoe, it is here somewhere or there out there or was it up somewhere. Just find it and get paid, got it kid?" as Jamie nodded the old large man ruffled his hair a bit before going back to sitting down as Jamie's heart was still pacing as he slowly began to get used to the man's large appearance. He then began his mission by first looking around the place as he wondered if this mission would be easy or not.

Jamie was told to go outside first for some reason, while he went outside he walked around the house at first just to make sure it was not laying on the ground. He then came around the back and entered the fenced off area which was the garden. Jamie looked around through the small plants which looked like something edible and yellow. It was too long to be a lemon and its shape was too rounded to be a banana. Not to mention it was covered by greenish leaves and he wondered if he should taste it. Then he stopped and looked on the ground, thinking he saw the shoe as he ran towards it. As soon as he got close all he found was a mole hill. Jamie sighed and went back to his search as he stepped carefully noticing there were many things moving in the ground and what looked like a huge green fruit. Was this the legendary water melon, he had water melon once and knew it tasted nice. He did not have time to have any though as he made his way around and then came back to the main entrance.

The shoe was not outside, so it had to be inside the house as he stepped back in the old man greeted him. "If it's not outside, maybe it's on top?" as the man was laughing a bit at what may have been a joke as Jamie just blushed as he felt this was embarrassing, though he did not fully understand why.

"The little boy searched the cupboards, and he searched the floors.
He searched through all the wardrobes, and opened all the doors.
He looked inside the kitchen, he looked inside the bed.
He saw a picture of a pretty girl and started turning red.

All this time he wondered why he could not find the shoe.
The mission was so hard when you do not know what to do.
He took a look up and took a look down
The man he was looking for kept acting like a clown

He walked in lines, and walked circles all around.
The long lost shoe, was nowhere to be found.
The little boy tried as he might
The little boy not giving up without a fight"

Jamie then stopped in front of the man, the man looked at Jamie with a grin as the boy looked confused. "Why you singing?" as the man began laughing out loud as Jamie sighed and looked down, that was when he noticed something he did not see before. He looked to the man and back to his feet. He then spoke up as the man was still laughing. "Excuse me", is what Jamie politely said as the man kept quiet quickly and asked.

"What is it boy, speak up already!" as the boy sighed and pointed between the man's legs. "Shoe" as the man looked between his legs he had a dumbfounded look on his face. "Oh, you found my other shoe, thanks a lot kid, now take this and go get l... paid." as the man began laughing as he nearly said something horribly wrong.

Jamie was glad to finish his mission as he made his way out of the strange house, the man grinned as he thought of a plan, to get this boy to come back again since he was having inspiration for his song writing after watching the boy search so desperately for his shoe.
