Book title: Introduction to Fire element
Abstract
Fire Release is one of the basic elemental nature transformations. It is performed by moulding superheated chakra inside the stomach before releasing it via the lungs and mouth. There are also variants to this in the form of some mediums such as the use of gun powder, ash, explosive tags and chakra flow into a weapon
Commonly affiliated with the Tiger hand seal, Fire Release consists of mid to long-ranged offensive techniques that cause combustive and explosive damage.
The art of having the flames obey the user's will is considered outrageously difficult.  The chakra nature is common among shinobi of Konohagakure in the Land of Fire, notably within the Sarutobi clan and Uchiha clan, the latter having been noted to hold a natural affinity for it.

The book was notably huge, measuring 25 inches diagonally. It was a faded crimson, with thin golden borders just shy of the edges. As he opened it to the first paragraph, the stench of brunt wood and charcoal ripened the air. A curious look crossed his gentle face, as he wondered why this book smelt like this- duly noting the magical aura that ninjutsu is. The book was light with a dim orange, due to the candlelight near him on the table. Only his study area was illuminated; himself, his wooden chair, the tabletop: which was a mess with sprawled out scrolls and stacks of books piled irregularly, scrap paper scattered with notes and drawings of all kinds, and finally a coffee mug, with about 1/3 remaining contents.

He continued reading with a finger upon his chin. Eyes glazed over, he squinted and tried to absorb as much information before his brain became saturated. Jin was a quick study, but elemental natures was so abstract to him, it was like learning a new concept. A day before, he tested out his nature affinity using chakra sensitive paper. On a regular day, the paper turned hard and brittle, and crumpled into dust; signifying earth element was dormant. However, when journeying across the desert area, he tested it again. The environment was extremely hot, with temperatures upwards of 35 degrees Celsius. Here, the chakra paper caught on fire. From this he made several notes. He concluded that the dormant natures were awakened when the user was exposed to them within the environment. From this book however, the natures can be brought out at will via concentration. He scribbled more notes, making assumptions such as using the placebo effect; if one thinks that the environment is heated, then one can become hot, thus raisinkg their chakra temperature. It was all just thoughts being written in order to keep them at arms reach, for he still needed to test out his theories.

Jin yawned, arms and legs stretches, then he tilted his head sideways to relieve some tension. Flipping his pencil in hand, he scribbled some more notes on a blank sheet of paper. Rather than talk to himself, he kept making notes to categorize his thoughts. The discourse was as follows:

How exactly do I form superheated chakra in my stomach without first some heat source? To heat up something, you need a source, but if I use my body heat, wouldn't that be unhealthy?
Wait! Chakra itself is an energy source! What if the heat comes from itself?
Yes that would make more sense. Now I only need to figure out the process.
He yawned once again, and rubbed his eyes, finally resting his head down upon the warm table, falling asleep.

The next day...
As the sun rose over the horizon, one could see the vast orange desert through the window. The window was small, made of glass with a wooden cross supporting its frame. The library wasted ventilated well ,so it gave off a thick musky scent to newcomers. Having spend a few days inhabiting it, Jin was of course used to it; a small price to pay for the knowledge he was about to gain.

With a look of determination, he gathered up all the scraps of paper he made notes of, and stacked them up neatly, then proceeded to go over them one by one. By 10 am, it was fairly heated, and signified that it was time to train the fire element. He smirked, popped open a drawer and snatched a few sheets of chakra paper, bolting downstairs and to the outside. The wooden doors to the tower entrance flung open and Jin hurried out with a childish run. The tower was apparently a wind mill of sorts, with its fins turning slowly like a gigantic fan.  This was used to pump water from deep within the water table down below, making the tower somewhat habitable.

To the east, the desert area, but to the west, shrubs and small trees grew sparingly towards the land of fire. Jin searched for a suitable spot to train. He carried the gigantic book, which was tucked under his arm. It was so heavy, he needed to lean to the other side just to be balanced.  He found a spot that looked ideal. The ground was smooth and hard with a sandy finish, the surrounding shrubs were cleared, and a few rocky walls to the north and south gave it a secluded sense of security.

The first step was to mold super heated chakra. He placed the book, as well as some paper stacks on the ground, then got into a wide horse stance. He clapped together the tiger hand seal, which was the dominant seal requires for heating up chakra. He closed his eyes, inhaling a hushed amount of air. The air was thick was dust, but still felt clean in comparison to the mucky environment inside the tower. He focused at the center of his stomach, continually breathing in and out, thinking about intense flames in his mind. After several minutes, he was definitely getting hotter, as sweat starting to form on his face. This however , could easily be due to the environment, so it was time to test it out by exhaling the chakra. He took a deep breath once again, gathered a mass of chakra in his stomach with the tiger seal, then with all his might, blew forwards into the air. A breath of hot air escaped his lungs, seen as it disturbed the air while heating it up. Seeing this made him hopeful, but somewhat frustrated; it was progress indeed, but no fire yet.

He tried and tried, inhaling, exhaling and burning chakra, and it was as if he made no progress anymore for two whole hours. But then something miraculous happened; as he was about to call it a day, he tried once more. It was midday now, the sun blazing at its maximum point in the sky. He was hot, his skin turning red from the exposure as he took one more breath with the tiger seal. Fire! He chanted internally, as he finally exhaled a small stream which was ablaze. It wasn't a powerful stream, and the flames were barely visible and frail, as if like dangling yellow ribbons in the wind. His face lit up with satisfaction as he jumped for joy, hands skyward.

Suddenly, the look in his eyes faded and went dim. He fell, as if suddenly shot down by something. It was the intense heat, exhaustion and lack of water. Training for so long took a toll on his small body, and thus he fainted briefly. Within seconds, he mastered himself, squinting his eyes to look around. With a quick dust off, he gathered up all the materials and headed back inside. It was time to call it a day, he climbed up the creaking stairs and passed the concrete walls, back to the library with a glass of water.

Day three. It was night time, and temperatures were near freezing. This was the perfect time to enhance what he had learnt so far. Jin did some push ups with the gigantic book ok his back, drank some water, then pelted back down the stairs. Tonight was the night he would master the art of Katon. He tossed a stack of old papers onto the ground, and stood about five meters from it. The goal was to get a strong enough stream to burn the papers. At this distance, he calculated that it would require inhumane lung capacity and this relay solely on chakra.

Once more, he took a wide horse stance, then inhaled deeply with the tiger seal on hand. Katon! He said to himself mentally, as he blew with all his might.  The fire stream was created, but reached only two meters. He did it again, and again, but it didn't seem to want to go any further. Not giving up, he got an idea, and consulted then book. He turned to the chapter called "Shape Manipulation". His train of thought was that, if he could shape the fire, he could extend it. Continuing to read, he found that the horse hand seal could be added to thin out the stream, thus gaining distance. So he put it to practice; taking the stance and making the two hand seals: horse > tiger. This time, the flames had miraculously traversed the five meter gap and set ablaze the stack of paper. Yes! He thought to himself, making a fist towards the fire he had created.
