Zetsume Zix

It was late in the day before Zetsume awoke on this day. He had stayed awake late in the night patrolling the perimeters for anything suspicious. He had been tense these few months reflecting on the minimal strength he felt he had. Zetsume needed more and yearned for more at what seemed like a escalating rate. Repede had already been awake laying outside of Zetsume's small house that the two lived in. It was peaceful for the two out here. He lived away from the whole city life, secluded by himself far enough to not be bothered by others. Zetsume while loved the people of his village, also had great anxiety of meeting them and having to be presentable. It was always about pride when it came to him, and it could be often tested. Zetsume put on his normal clothes with jeans, white shirt, and a leather jacket on. Zetsume walked out of his house and gave the dog a whistle to follow him, it was time to train.

The clouds covered most of the sky on this dim light day. It was peaceful out here as Zetsume was taking his stroll. The plains that he was at seemed peaceful and calming. A few trees in the distant swayed in the breeze. The day was perfect enough to get the blood moving. Zetsume and Repede came out here to train their bodies a bit further than what they currently were. For the two they both wanted to make their village a better place for all that come to it. Deep down he just wanted the power to protect others. He often had thought if he was not strong enough, that maybe in the end it will be all for naught. These thoughts raced through him. Taking his jacket off and laying it on the ground he decided it would be good to start with a jog to get the blood really going. Like that the two, Zetsume and his dog Repede began their jog. It would not be a sprint or anything too straining, just enough to get the day going. The light breeze felt good on his skin as they ran. Running to a far off tree, the two ran back and decided to push themselves and race one another. The dog was not much slower than he was, and on the run back Zetsume ran a bit slower so the pooch could gloat for a while. Panting hard, Zetsume pulled out a water bottle from his jacket and gave it a drink before giving it to his dog that tilted it up and drank with his mouth around the bottle. With a long sigh the two felt refreshed and needed a further excitement.

Something irritating had occurred. The entire day, Susumu has been on edge, annoyed by something that happened earlier today. It almost felt like today wasn’t his day at all, as if it was his last. His left eye continuously twitched as he strolled through the area, trying to get away from the people for once. He needed something to vent his frustration on, or someone, for that matter. It’s been a long time since he’s been engaged in any battle, himself, wondering if he had gotten rusty or if everything remained the same as it has always been. While his feet stepped into the dirt, moving him forward and leaving a trail of the soles of his shinobi sandals behind, he looked at his fist and clenched it. He felt like he had been lacking on his training, something that he wouldn’t do often. He has been more about travelling that anything else, lately. Perhaps he’s been meaning to find a purpose for himself, rather than living out the purpose of his late father, Uchiha Hao. Either way, he needed to step his game up and live up to his father’s expectations. Reach his level of strength, that no matter which path he takes, even if it’s completely the opposite of what he believed in, he could still be proud. Not because they share the similar goals, but because they’ve reached a league of their own.

The moment Susumu arrived in the grassy fields, with trees swaying back and forth due to the wind in the distance, he noticed that one person, along with a dog ran towards those specific trees. Seemed like a race. The guy seemed pretty fast, in Susumu’s eyes, intriguing him. Earlier, he thought of sparring someone, or just vent his frustration. Maybe this is perfect for that. No one’s around, other than that individual and his dog. There’s more than enough space here for maximum mobility. Nothing that can get in the way, other than the two’s techniques they have up their arsenal. Even though he found a person to have a battle with, it’s likely that he would decline, given that Susumu’s just unknown to everyone in this village. Figuring that there’s only one thing to do; confront him, he waited in the exact same spot where that individual started the race with his dog, making sure that he’ll notice him once he gets on the run back.

With his deep blue eyes, he just gazed forward, his purple robe wrapped around his usual clothes underneath it; a white shirt, black legwear and footwear, along with a pendant hanging from around his neck. Although the person hasn’t even walked up to Susumu yet, he had already started forming scenarios in his head as to how this could play out. Would he think Susumu’s hostile? Or just accept the spar without a care in the world. If so, what kind of techniques does that person use? What is the extent of his ability, as well as the dog, which somewhat piqued his interest. Is that his companion in battle? A smirk formed on his lips, though covered by the collar of his purple cloak. He patiently awaited his arrival.

Repede was the first to notice the stranger while Zetsume was lost in thought of something a little more exciting. With a low growl Repede bore his fangs and hunched down as if ready to pounce. As the two went to a slow walk from their running pace there was an individual at the starting point of their run. Zetsume gave the dog a small pat on the head as a reassurance to calm down and not seem aggressive even though the dog was always too protective of Zetsume.. Unlike the dog, Zetsume knew that to just attack someone coming up on you would cause a mountain of paperwork and hours that Zetsume wished not to experience of explaining why he did it should it happen. Not to mention should the stranger be from a fellow village on business, well.... Zetsume would be on the bounty list indubitably . Despite all of that Zetsume figured he would see who and what this stranger wanted. Walking within five meters, Zetsume spoke out to the stranger in a friendly manner that had some command behind his voice.

"Hello there, quite a distance from the village you seemed to wander from. May I ask what you are doing out here?", Repede sat still glaring at the strangers blue eyes. His purple robe lightly gleaming in the light along side the stranger's pendant. Zetsume kept his distance from the stranger, despite sounding friendly, he was on guard. An unknown person this far from the village was something that boggled his mind. Zetsume placed his hand on his head and shook softly before speaking again while parting the hair from his eyes so his scar revealed that ran diagonally from his brow to his nose. "My oh my,where are my manners. The name is Zetsume,
a ninja from the Kumogakure village. This fellow here is Repede, I swear he is friendlier than what he may seem. So what brings you out here? I do not normally see people out here. I doubt you are a civilian as most do not venture this far and there are no roads here. Which brings me to question which village you reside in because I have never seen you around Kumogakure."

Zetsume would press the question again after greeting formally to the stranger. Zetsume would not take chances, should the stranger seem aggressive he will act accordingly and have to do paperwork. With any luck, the stranger was friendly to the point of training with Zetsume. The main reason Zetsume did not attack the stranger was that he made his presence known. He was not hiding or trying to mask himself. He wanted to be seen by Zetsume, he stood where they started. If this stranger was hostile, he would have tried to attack Zetsume long ago. This was the only reassurance he had toward the fact a stranger was around. Other than that, Zetsume's anxiety shot up slightly as the dog could sense and became a little more worried. While Zetsume was decently strong, he was not even close to being unbeatable. Then again could anyone be so strong that their might could not be oppressed. Zetsume thought that a being could never exist, even he must too one day die. Though while he still had breath and life in him, he would protect his village with all costs. Zetsume patted the dog in hopes it calmed down just a little more while he waited for the stranger to reply. Repede was far more on edge than Zetsume was, and seemed that the dog was not too accepting of this new stranger. Zetsume was trying to be friendly but hoped the glares from Repede did not have a negative impact on how this stranger thought of the two.
