Syekren was out on the balcony of the administration building's second floor today, lazily staring out over the village that he could see. He had spent most of his day indoors, filling out paperwork about his new squad, accepting two missions to take them on within the following week, as well as marking himself down as a teacher since there was even paperwork for that now. Bureaucracy hit sunagakure no sato like a freight train, so to speak, and Syekren simply wasn't used to all the paperwork and seriousness of the place. This new kazekage really whipped everything and everyone into shape. This had become almost second nature to the villagers and the shinobi, the paperwork that is and it was all like one fine and well-oiled machine. The problem was that doing so much paperwork was a bit of a hassle sometimes.

The young shinobi sighed, rubbing his eye carefully, his fingers hitting the edge of his hitai-ate pulled over his left eye. His black hair, short enough to barely kiss the nape of his neck, hung loosely just at eyebrow level and had some spike to it. He wore a black netted shinobi shirt with black out sleeves to cover his arms, the sleeves not being netter of course. Over this he wore a shinobi vest with pockets on the inside, pocketed shinobi tights and black tabi with sandals. He was the epitome of cliche ninja at this point in his life and he didn't care much. If one looked him over they'd see a muscular frame in the clothing of the man and well toned muscles through the netted shirt and tight clothing. He was quite the beautiful man to behold, save for the scruffy beard he had, too short to be unkempt and too long to be five o'clock shadow.

Syekren had enough of all this paperwork and sitting around doing nothing for the entire day. He wanted to get out and do something, maybe train or just get some fresh air. It was all too much to simply sit idly and just write his name over and over to signify he understood what was going on, and yes he knew the risks of taking the genin on B-Rank missions, etcetera. He just wanted to get out and do stuff, he really appreciated at this point how hard the Lady Kazekage must work to keep this village in shape, and how much paperwork she had to do. He couldn't understand how she did it day in and day out and almost felt as though he'd never want to have to deal with that in his lifetime. Almost. To be fair, he never actually considered it before now but this paperwork was just too much for him and it wasn't nearly as much as she did. He needed a break.

After a few more hours, it was turning into early noon hours, around two or three if Syekren had to guess, and he was finally able to leave the administration building. He'd had a lot to answer and sign for in five years of his absence and they made sure he suffered. Once he was free the young shinobi quietly stretched, walking out of the doors to the administration building, heading into the town. He wandered aimlessly, stopping by a stand to acquire a small bottle of water, opening it to take a few sips before an idea crossed his mind. Now would be a great time to see if the Uchiha on his team was any use and see if he trained well. With silent resolution, he moved back towards the administration building, stopping a chuunin and after writing a note, sent him to find Lynn and give him the message.

The note read: "Syekren here, I figured today was too good a day to sit idly and do nothing. If you feel a fire in your stomach and want some private training time with your new sensei, meet me in the Sandy Arena. I figure we could take a bit to learn from one another and improve your skills."

With the note in hand, the chuunin ran off to find who he was charged with and Syekren made his way off to the meeting place. It wasn't too long before he reached his destination, choosing a place further ways from the fenced area, so that his genin charge would get no ideas. He didn't want to have to deal with losing a genin to the hideous and horrendous horrors beyond that fence and figured the many training dummies and tools for use around them would prove more than adequate for what he had in mind. After all, he wasn't planning to pummel the young man or anything, simply to show a few skills off and see what he himself knew.

OOC: Goes without saying, anything learned about Syekren here doesn't go into the squad thread as this would IC be after those events.

It was a rather pretty day today, in the Village Hidden in the Sand, the sun bright and high and the breeze giving a satisfying relief whenever it hit the young Uchiha's soft, sensitive skin. It was honestly always a miracle that he never got sunburned out here, due to how harsh sunlight was in these parts, but he didn't question his bull luck. It just made it easier for him to get more active, as today he was taking a run around the city.

He ran all over the place, whether it be the Bazaar, the various eateries, the library; today, anyone could have seen him. Thankfully, since it was a Sunday, it didn't matter, cause not many really were out on that particular day. Eventually he'd climb up a building, and start jumping from each rooftop to rooftop, gauging his endurance from the training he had done earlier. It had improved a slight bit, along with his speed, and it made him feel much better about himself. The talks with his Squad, with his best friend, Kuno, the Kazekage's speech...things were looking up. Doubtful thoughts still plagued his mind every waking moment, but it wasn't as paralyzing as it had been before he moved to the village. It was still probably a good idea to meet up with a medical ninja when he could, but for now he didn't have the funds for such a thing.

Eventually, a Chuunin ninja would stop him in his tracks, thankfully in a non violent way, to give him an important message from his sensei. "Syekren here, I figured today was too good a day to sit idly and do nothing. If you feel a fire in your stomach and want some private training time with your new sensei, meet me in the Sandy Arena. I figure we could take a bit to learn from one another and improve your skills." ...Private training? That's something he's never had before. It piqued his interest so much, that he decided he'd humor him, and take up the offer. Paying the Chuunin for his services, as he probably wasn't given anything to track Lynn down, he'd make a rush to the Sandy Arena, a small smile on his face at the opportunity to show Syekren he was more than meets the eye.

Whenever his sensei made it to their rendezvous spot, he'd find Lynn made it there first, surprisingly, and as of now, he was doing a rather strange exercise. He was hanging off some bars in the arena, holding himself up on it and doing some sort of weird push-up, which took quite a bit of work for a little Genin like himself. It also seemed he was...more toned than before, and not frail, when it came to looks, a healthy glow of youth before him now rather than the pouty brat from a few days ago. What the hell did this kid do while they were apart? Either way, he also seemed alert, to make sure he wasn't caught off guard by his sensei, glancing left or right every now and again to listen for footsteps.

Syekren approached the arena, looking over to see his student doing some sort of strange exercise on the bars, but Syekren didn't get his attention just yet. Instead, the special jounin moved to the training dummies, insuring that they secured to the ground properly, noting the chains that ran deep into the sand. The chain were probably connected to some sort of block deep into the earth, that would restrict the movement of the dummies so that they wouldn't be lost to someone going overboard in training. Which was good, because with the training he'd had planned for the two, they'd need to have everything secured. He expected Lynn to be able to quickly grasp his concepts of teaching, at least that was the plan.  In truth, the older ninja had no idea what would happen if he used the same methods of teaching that made him learn what he knew now on the young ninja under his care, and hoped that he would take to it as Syekren had, but wouldn't be disappointed if he didn't. After all, he was held to different standards than the genjutsu using bukijutsu specialist. While they had nothing in common other than their clan, he hoped they could find common ground in training.

After a moment of thought, he whistled a low, quick tone for the other to hear, signalling that he was ready to being their training. Syekren would first ask for a show of skill, whether he decide to use his bukijutsu or his genjutsu, and then do something of his own. He didn't wish to put too much onto his young student all at once, but he felt as though if the training wasn't harsh, then Lynn would in fact learn nothing, effectively making this a waste of both their times. Syekren placed a hand on the dummy nearest him, trying to move it with his hand slightly, finding it to only move once ore twice, a few inches in either direction, before the chain stopped it dead. So this would have to do for what he had planned and there would be a good amount of leeway for the two if not. After all, six or seven training dummies in this area alone that withstood thousands upon thousands of attacks from all types of ninja, plus the others that littered the arena for training purposes would insure that the two could train to their hearts' content. This was something he'd looked forward to since he was assigned a squad. It was actually here that he used to train and he noticed a few scorch marks from his own attacks.

A peak into my past, of what once was.

It was five years ago, Syekren was a fresh-faced genin, even before he'd awakened his sharingan. He was taking his time to punch and kick a specific dummy, moving from it, to others around it. He'd been training hard for what seemed like days now, trying to get stronger so that he could rise in the ranks of the village, and hopefully lead it to greatness one day. It wasn't enough though, as his strikes rarely seemed to hit where he needed them to be. Syekren grew angry as he did multiple combos, using his superior speed to allow one strike to follow another in perfect harmony, but still feeling as though he wasn't doing enough. There was another young man with him that day, someone who had been encouraging Syekren from the sidelines, to push himself harder and work to a better end. It was his friend, Matsuro. Nowadays he was nowhere to be found, gone like a wind whispering on the sands. But at the time of Syekren being a genin, they trained together often and worked together to perfect their own techniques.

It was at Matsuro's behest that he try charging his fists with flames and then try to strike the dummy. See what kind of impact he made and work from there. It was worth a shot, but due to the very chaotic nature of fire, it was hard to tell exactly where all this would lead the young man. Nonetheless, Syekren exuded chakra from his hands and feet, willing them into a katon nature. Within moments the chakra was alight with a burning intensity of a roaring flame, as though Hades himself breathed them into being. With his flame coated limbs, Syekren attempted his striking combos once more, landing fierce blows upon the dummy in front of him. His hits landed with a fiercer strength, but came much slower due to the flames themselves. Noting this, Matsuro admitted that he expected as much. While there were burns left on the dummy, he bade Syekren try Raiton chakra instead, which he did. This chakra made him feel as though Zeus was behind each powerful swing of his fists, which made them come faster but at a weaker strength. The strikes did leave burns however, and could possibly stun a real opponent. The dummies in question were left with permanent burns to remind Syekren of his days training.

Those days were when I discovered just how badly I wanted to be stronger. For you Matsuro, my friend.

Syekren had fazed out of reality mentally, and quietly reeled back, turning to look at his student. With a sigh, he remembered that it wasn't him that was training anymore, but the new generation of ninja that had the future of Sunagakure no sato on their shoulders. Just as Matsuro had been the one to egg him along his own path, Syekren was to nudge Lynn in the right direction, to find himself and his own strength. This would be the day that would set them apart from others. Syekren, as a teacher, and Lynn as someone who would forge his own destiny, with or without the need for the Uchiha's kekkei genkai. The very nature of this day was so that he could show his student that with or without sight, one is not weakened, only finding different strengths. He only hoped his lessons would stick.

"Lynn, I'd like you to show me what you can do. With bukijutsu, or genjutsu. Whether it be with both, or only one does not matter. I'd like to know where you are in terms of strength, and then I shall show you where I am. But I  don't  want you to think my path is the only one. Rather, I'd like you to use today to find your own way of doing things, your own path in life if you will. Now, let's begin"

Syekren smiled softly, his scruff following the movements of his lips with each word and eventually settling with his smile. He had a bit of a cool uncle look, though he were rather young for such things. He had initially been cold and harsh in their first meeting, but that was only as he had to keep up his walls when he first met his students. He didn't need to be like that all the time and only wished to ensure that his student got every chance he could at a decent training session so that one day he too would rise in the ranks as Syekren had at his age. Who knows? Maybe he'll be the second Uchiha in sunagakure no sato to reach special jounin rank before the age of eighteen and show everyone else that being young is no excuse to not be powerful.

Thankfully, it didn't take long for his sensei to arrive at the scene, the soft sound of his footsteps rumbling throughout the air to Lynn's fairly sensitive ear drums. However, he hadn't immediately called out to him, so the green-haired boy decided to stick to his own activity for now, wanting to show some initiative to his training. It made him anxious on having to wait longer, but it wasn't anything he could help. As  the silence continued, he'd hear the sounds of chain and dummy material clanking around below him, probably just his teacher setting up the lessons for the day. It was odd though, cause the only thing he could really show off is some basic Taijutsu, and a bit of Bukijutsu, though the sword he spoke of isn't ready yet. The only thing he could show off was his Genjutsu, but considering how this man was leagues above his level, it wasn't going to really do much. It might not impress him; and yes, he's a Genin, so nothing should be too impressive anyway, but it still concerned him that he wouldn't at least stick out a little bit. If he was just "run of the mill", this private training may not be worth it to Syekren anymore. Not to mention, he's a Uchiha without eyes...at least, he still thought he didn't have them. If he did, it'd be a surprise...but he wouldn't go that far to impress him. No way. He's just his teacher...not his father, or Kuno.

It was almost as though their teacher was in a trance, as any movement had stopped after the training targets were relocated, and this made Lynn a bit worried. He was about to jump down, to see if everything was okay, until suddenly Syekren finally spoke up. Took him long enough. Now, let's begin." What was this about taking paths? Well, it made sense, he supposed, but he was never going to follow Syekren's anyway. This was his own road, and only he could go along it. At the very least, Syekren wasn't going to force too much on him, which was admittedly relieving, and soon brought a smile to the boy's face as he hopped down from his spot, with a perfect landing, brushing his locks from his face afterwards and looking somewhat towards the older Uchiha's direction. He was sure that he was asked to showcase his skills on the dummy beside them, but he knew his true specialty would be worthless against such a thing. No, a sparring match is what was needed. So, he'd change his usual slouching posture into that of a soldier's, nice and straight, one foot in front of him and pointing a finger at his teacher.

"I'm afraid my skills aren't really effective on targets without a brain. Not only that, but the weapon I have custom-ordered isn't finished as of now, so I can't even let you see my prowess with the whip sword. However...my Genjutsu will do. On you, I mean. I'm sure you'll be able to see right through it, but, you can still observe how it works and understand how I fight through it. And anything I do to you, probably won't come close to hurting you either..so, what do you say? Spar me. No wrong can come from it, and it'd be a lot more experience for me than poking at this useless dummy would be."

It was clear Lynn was confident in his ability, and how his mind works, but it also seemed he knew his limits too. There was no way a Genin like him could be on par with a Special Jounin like Syekren, and he knew it. It just added onto his claims during the squad meet up; strategy was his mental specialty, and when it comes to battle, the worst thing you could ever do is get cocky. This'll be interesting, won't it?

Syekren watched the young boy hop down and move his locks from his face. He was ready to turn away when Lynn adopted a straighter posture, then posed with one foot in the sand towards syekren, while a hand came up to have a finger pointing at the special jounin. Syekren was rather confused at this point and gave his young student a quizzical look.  He was used to strange people by now, hell he was one of them. But why take such a pose? Was it to get Syekren's attention? If so, it worked well enough as he had the full brunt of it. What could he have gained from acting so silly though? Perhaps it was only silly to Syekren as he'd never done anything like that, but shrugged it off. He was about to comment on the male's strange behaviour when he piped up, mentioning that his skills weren't effective on targets without a brain, and that he didn't have his weapon just yet. But a whip sword was his  weapon of choice? What the hell was that? Syekren was certain he knew of a few weapons but had never heard of that.

Sounds unorthodox.

Then came the turn of the conversation the special jounin was sure his young student was planning. Genjutsu on Syekren would work? So that's his game, huh? He wanted to try using his genjutsu on Syekren to see how well it would work against the man he called sensei. He knew that Syekren would probably see through it, which was true, but he also figured that he wouldn't come close to hurting Syekren. Which wasn't completely true. There were quite a few things that people of lower ranks could do to hurt him, it was all a matter of how much, he supposed. But now was neither the time nor place to wonder, as the young ninja before him had requested a sparring session between the two, so that their training would have some sort of use. Syekren was hesitant, scratching the back of his head lightly, looking at the ground. He didn't want it to get back to the Kazekage that he was beating up on genin, training or not. He'd better go easy on this kid so nothing too bad happened.

"Alright then, Lynn. You want a spar, you'll have it. Without a weapon I suppose you'll be down to the most basic of taijutsu and your genjutsu right? I don't know much about people who don't specialize in hand to hand combat, but what I do know is you guys usually can't make flames come from your fists like I can. Heh. Come at me, then. Don't hold back, I wanna see what you're made of. I'll limit myself so you have nothing to fear, and you should feel no threat coming from me. Then again, assume I am lying, as we are ninja and this is a world of deception! Death is everywhere and you must be ready to combat it. Begin!"

Syekren came to a relaxed position, moving one foot forward the toes pointing straight at Lynn. The other foot was squared off behind his first foot, separated by about a foot or two of space, and the foot turned to his left, keeping his body in a firm and strong reinoji dachi karate stance. Syekren kept his knees bent and ready, while his hands pushed into his pockets, staying in relaxed, open hands. He knew that he could possibly take damage from his student, but he also knew that he was much quicker and had more of a time to react to attacks than Lynn did, giving him an obvious advantage. So he decided that using his hands in this friendly spar was going to be overkill. Anything would, really. But he would try to only dodge the kid, making shoot a fireball to see how quick he was or something.

It brought a smirk to Lynn's little face when Syekren approved the notion of sparring. How could he turn it down, after all? That was the truest way to figure out what he was capable of, and it was about time he had some sort of challenge. Plus, his training should at least be of some sort of use to him, and maybe catch his sensei off guard. So, slowly his finger would move back into his hand, before maneuvering into an odd hand sign for the jutsu he was about to activate; the rabbit seal. It was almost impossible for the older man to ignore such a thing, his eyes must have been locked on to him to study his movements and what he'd do. Two clones of the genin would pop right beside the real one, and with a blur, they'd all rush over, in a zigzag pattern, attempting to obscure the true Lynn's movements.

Lynn figured that he'd get picked out right away, considering the power gap between the two, but he at least wanted to display his fighting strategy. Just to plan for the upcoming dodging, he'd put one arm up to protect his face, while the other thrusted forward with an open palm, his goal being for Sye's stomach. However, the other clones would do the obvious moves, and due to this he'd be the last to attack; the first went for a jab to his face, quick and boxer-like, while the other would go for a low-kick. Of course, anything they did was null, and they'd only disappear once making contact with their opponent. Even then, by now it probably just looked like Lynn running weirdly if his sensei didn't decide to humor the Genjutsu at all.

As he did this, strategies popped up into his mind, trying to decide his next course of action against his teacher. It was likely they were only going to try and dodge, and to evade an attack like Lynn's, they were more than likely to jump backwards, in a straight line. If they did this, he could follow up with a Genjutsu Fireball, which should be fast enough to get damage down on Syekren. Lynn wasn't aware that his opponent did have access to the Sharingan, which could negate this entirely, but in his mind, if it hit, he'd still have to waste chakra to get rid of the pain. If they didn't jump backwards, they'd twist their body to either the left or right. In this case, he'd be able to do a side kick, which was less effective than the best case scenario, but still good enough for him. Whatever would happen, he knew failure was an option, but sadly he had no way to avoid such things if he was nulled entirely. But this was just a training spar. It wasn't a real combat situation...but he still attacked with intention to "kill", to give some pep to his step. After all, in the battlefield, he'll never get shown mercy. Oh well...lets see what happens, shall we?

Syekren's dark blue hue lazily watched as his student made the handseal for rabbit, creating clones of Doton to follow with him in an attack. Syekren quietly watched, waiting for his student to get closer. He then quietly examined the three rushing at him, turning his head slightly from left and then right, easily discerning that these 'clones' were no more than a simple genjutsu. And here Syekren was going to defend from the with accurate force. Instead, he'd simple have to allow them to strike, to see if they actually did anything to him. No, his main problem was going to be his student who was rushing him as well, moving one hand in front of his face, as if to protect it. This in itself gave him away as the real one, even should Syekren not have been able to see through his jutsu. It was a good strategy, and technique. Why, if Syekren were slightly weaker or less perceptive, he would completely be caught within the genjutsu, striking at air. This kid was going to become a force to be reckoned with, and Syekren was intrigued to see just exactly how he could grow as a ninja. His pupil was full of surprises.

Syekren quietly stood stoically as the boxer strike went to hit, the clone dissipating upon contact with him. The second attack, being a low kick would do nothing as upon contact, this clone would also dissipate into nothingness. Now, just the real Lynn was left as he pushed out an open palmed strike, aimed for Syekren's stomach. With a rather lazy form of movement, Syekren's forward leg raised, his back leg keeping himself balanced as he did so. His forward leg bent at the knee, the knee at the same level as the strike that would come from his student. The palm would instead meet Syekren's knee, while Syekren himself leaned forward, into the strike. This allowed him to absorb the shock of the blow, without losing his footing and thus stopped the attack effectively.  With a soft chuckle, like silk upon the ears, Syekren then pushed forward with his knee, to push the hand away, with his forward foot coming back to place into the sand between the other ninja's legs. After which his rear foot came up, his hips twisting into a forward step. His knee came to the chest of Lynn in a sort of 'push back' effect, allowing his rear foot to become his forward foot, landing back in the sand.

Let's see how he does with real jutsu, and not illusions.

With a silent resolve, Syekren leaped backwards, then pushed his form to crouch. With the crouch, his hands came from his pockets, forming the tiger handseal.  Breathing in deeply, Syekren would then jump as high as he could into the air, then back a bit. Upon landing, he'd be thirteen meters from his pupil while still inhaling, filling his throat and lungs with chakra. Kneading the chakra with katon nature, Syekren would then exhale in a forward flamethrower stream, towards his student. Katon: Gokyaku no Jutsu! With the flame thrower stream spitting out, it would extend to fifteen meters in front of his form, leaving the student about two meters, or six feet, of the flame thrower type jutsu that would hit him. If it hit it would cause second degree burns on contact and char clothing. Syekren hoped that his blind student would hear the flames or something and move out of the way. He had ample time with the small amount of space he needed to move away from and if he couldn't get out Syekren would be disappointed.

It had soon occured to Lynn that he maybe should have made all his clones put their arms up, rather than himself, for that would have been a lot more deceptive compared to his true actions This sloppiness wouldn't do for him at all; he can't act up like that again. He was certain if this were a real combat situation, he'd be dead in that instant. Thankfully, that was not the case, and the only resistance he was met with was a...a knee? An odd thing to be blocking him, sure, but it was effective in Syekren's case, and he even leaned in a bit to force Lynn to back up a bit, rendering his strike completely useless. To be expected...however, it seems he was underestimated a bit too much. In a stroke of luck, his teacher then jumped backwards, about seventeen meters to be exact, landing on one foot, then the next.

This was great! It would definitely allow Lynn to use his "best case scenario" strategy, and let him utilize his best offensive technique. Syekren, though, must have thought similarly, as then Lynn felt the patting together of hands making seals...then, a deep, throaty breath. That could only be one thing, considering this was mere training against a Uchiha...the Great Fireball Technique. And sure enough, he'd hear the crackle of flames and feel the heating sensation wash near him, threatening to scorch him alive. However, instead of trying to run out the way, or jump in fear of his well-being, the young boy simply smirked, swiftly pulling out his trusty kunai. Then, moving his hand over the bladed weapon, a fine layering of chakra covered it, in a similar fashion to that of the Item Reinforcement Technique. However, that was not the case; as he'd then charge in, and strike at the flamethrower, clashing with the fire chakra with his own neutral, causing a puff of smoke to appear in its wake. When the dust cleared, Lynn was a bit closer now, about seven meters away, before he held up his hands while continuing to run, forming first the Tiger seal, and interestingly enough, the Monkey. With his own deep breath, he'd then release his own Fireball, as a projectile rather than a flamethrower, making its way dangerously close to his teacher.

If things were to go his way, it'd hit his teacher straight on, causing the older man to feel the excruciating pains of rather horrible burns, and maybe a bit of knockback. Of course, considering it's not actually the true Great Fireball, and merely a Genjutsu, his sensei would be able to break out if he noticed it were a fake. But he wouldn't be able to simply just shrug it off like the clones; no, this required more of a personal touch. Either pay that chakra with the Genjutsu Dissipation technique, or suffer the consequences. He could also activate his Sharingan, which could break him out before it hits, but Lynn can't account for this, since he doesn't know his teacher has those, nor that he's a Uchiha like him. The other ways they could potentially prevent this attack from working is if he is able to dodge it, though it's unlikely due to how close it was. The last way would be if he just wasn't paying attention. In that case, Lynn was just kinda running towards him and making a bunch of silly gestures.

Syekren watched his pupil react admirably. Instead of simply running away from the attack, he pulled out his kunai and formed chakra over it, reinforcing it with his chakra. But instead of being a normal chakra reinforcement technique it allowed his student to hit his flame thrower and then make it dissipate into a puff of smoke, effectively nullifying his jutsu completely. It was a rather amazing jutsu to say the least and Syekren was most impressed. It was when his student decided to do a counter attack, however, that his feeling of being impressed turned to pride. His student was taking the offensive now and pushing back, to force Syekren to be on the defensive. This was all well and fine, and he saw his student seven meters from his own form, forming handseals. Syekren was about to do this on his own when he stopped and stared at the hands that had perfomed Tiger, then Monkey. He'd never seen  someone perform those handseals one after the other, especially not an Uchiha. What was going on here?

He got his answer shortly after when Lynn spit out his own great fireball jutsu. That was impossible though, as his student didn't have genjutsu. And the handseals he used.. They were oddly different. Was this more genjutsu? Syekren activated his sharingan, staring straight ahead, seeing through the fireball to his student still rushing him. Genjutsu. Syekren studied the intricacies of the genjutsu as he stared as well as the way his student had used his handseals and channeled his chakra, breaking down how it worked, basically. Syekren then made a mental note of the effect the genjutsu could have and made another mental note indicating how chakra was set differently than from ninjutsu. He allowed the fire ball to hit him, activating genjutsu kai just before contact, breaking the hold the genjutsu had, and reaching back, he found that he didn't have his tool pouch with him. Syekren cursed his forgetting of the tools and made for his student while watching his movements. Syekren had his sharingan activated and could thus see the twitches of his oppoenent's movements and approximate where the attacks would land. It was for this reason that Syekren moved his form to the left of his student, and charged his chakra up into his hands and feet, with a burning passion.

Syekren sighed then let the chakra go, simply giving his body a spin to roundhouse kick at his student's stomach. He was going to use a jutsu but realized how damaging that would be. After the kick his body moved with what speed he could muster and spun again, this time bringing the opposite leg to sweep his student's legs out from under him. After this was done, Syekren would jump back ten meters, forming handseals and gathering his chakra. He was going to use another fire jutsu but not until his student got up and was able to defend themselves. This time Syekren was going to use something slightly stronger to really test Lynn's mettle. There was little else he could do that was not going to cause irreparable damage so either way Lynn was going to feel a good amount of pain. Syekren could control exactly how damaging his attacks were going to be, and how well they worked against him.

Eventually Syekren began to think on what he would opt to do. Perhaps he would use another fireball? Or some sort of higher ranked attack to train his student to be able to combat them. Genjutsu was good and well but being able to keep yourself from being hit was a bit more important than using illusion. At least at Lynn's level. Should he get to Syekren's level as a ninja and get his Genjutsu that good, he would be a force to be reckoned with, a true danger to his enemies. Syekren smiled to himself at this thought. One of his students reaching a level of illusion, striking down opponents before they even knew what was going on. That was something he would personally love to see. Syekren would grow with him. With his copy wheel eye he had taken in everything about the genjutsu that was previously just used against him and began his steps of learning genjutsu for himself. Now to do something with it. Perhaps next training session. For now, he just focus on training his student to survive attacks. There were man things that could be done should his student attack him, most would probably end up killing the student though and Syekren didn't want that. Though, as he considered the many jutsu he had at his disposal, Syekren wondered exactly how much punishment his student could take in regards to damage and wondered if he kept holding back, how well would his student improve? Or would his student even improve at all if he took it easy on him? This didn't sit well with Syekren and he felt a little disappointed in himself for not putting more faith in Lynn. He'd have to step it up.

It seemed like an eternity to the two combatants, but what happened only took over at least a few minutes. It was astonishing, really, how the tide of battle turned so suddenly with each and every turn, and in all honesty, it was exciting. However, there was a key factor here that Lynn's sensei had over him, and he knew it; jutsu. He had little to use against his teacher, while Syekren could have hundreds and he wouldn't even know. The strain on his body for using jutsus were too much to repeat any, so now he was left with little options when it came to defending himself, once he realized his Genjutsu was broken as fast as it was cast.

Even if Syekren was as adept as he believed, he made that Fireball technique almost exclusively so even the most experienced individual would take a few seconds to realize what was going on. The only way anyone could break it so easily, is if they were...oh. Well, that explains a lot. It enraged him alongside the fact he had taken a blow to the stomach, which made him gag a bit, and even knocked to his feet. Thankfully, as Syekren jumped back another ten meters, leaving them around thirteen meters apart now, he was able to recover smoothly, catching himself in a hand-stand and jumping backwards himself, now leaving them at fifteen meters. He panted softly to himself, holding his gut to assess the injury; it was only a medium sized bruise, so it wasn't too much, but he needed to be more careful.

After that little blunder, he had realized his sensei may have been preparing a jutsu, and waiting for him like a sentry would. It was definitely time to re-evaluate his strategy, especially against a Uchiha with their Sharingan. Why were there so many of them in this damn village, like, really? He must have sucked at relocating. Either way, again, this wasn't the time to complain, it was time to fight. What could he do, to buy himself some time? There was nothing close enough to use for Substitution, and since Syekren could see right through Academy clones, that wasn't an option either. There was only one thing he could do now, and it'd probably cost his kunai its form. Taking a deep breath, he held his hand against his weapon once more, coating it in a much differently functioning, and colored, layer of dark brown chakra, resembling that of the Earth element. This was the only other technique he had for usefulness at the time, but it might buy him some time to form another strategy. The spar wasn't about winning, obviously, but he wanted to put an effort to at least.

The young, green-haired Uchiha then began charging at his sensei, thankfully not completely straight, like a complete fool; his path diverted in a zigzagging pattern like before with the clones, but much more spread out, so it was more like he was jumping from area to area. While doing this, he also reached into his back pocket with his free hand, and threw a barrage of five out of his six senbon in front of himself, to try and give another layer of protection, and deter any physical confrontation. He threw it a little low too, just so that Syekren couldn't just duck over it; he'd need to physically move upwards, or to the sides to avoid it, unless he had a jutsu to repel them, or used his headband to block them. It wouldn't be too much longer before he reached his destination, but there was no doubt he'd need to react to a ranged attack yet again. He held his kunai up, ready for this, and thanked the ones above for the fact his jutsu increased the area it could protect him in, so it didn't have to be extremely precise.

Syekren watched his student closely, the two tomoe eye spinning non-stop as it watched his every move. When his student covered his weapon in a brown colored chakra, Syekren tilted his head. It was rather strange to see this type of technique used in conjunction with bukijutsu. It was rare to find someone who used anything but lightning and fire to increase the strength of their weapons. Syekren didn't have a lot of time to think on this though, as his student was rushing his position once again. Didn't he say he specialized in strategy? What could he possibly hope to accomplish dashing like a madman? It was then he reached back and set a flurry of five senbon in Syekren's direction, moving to zig zag after. Interesting that he would do so and syekren's eyes moved from the boy to the senbon that approached. His reaction timing was good enough that he could approximate exactly when he'd have to move. He was almost considering ducking until he noticed how low they flew and an idea came to mind.

Syekren closed his hands into fists and concentrated raiton chakra through his arms. After which he pushed his knuckles together, creating sparks that traveled around his body and then exploded outwards. Within a matter of milliseconds the raiton chakra had become an expansive barrier that was shaped like a dome around the user. There was a crackling to the air as the senbon strucking the lightning based protection and bounced away, hitting the ground. Should his student keep running, he would then hit the dome and suffer a few shocks. If he would stop, he would suffer nothing and have to break through the dome with an attack that was strong enough to do so. Syekren waited inside the dome, contemplating his next move quietly.  After he'd taken a few moments to think, Syekren nodded to himself within his dome and formed the tiger handseal, and turned to break through his dome, watching the chakra fade. Without missing a beat, he'd dash forward, in the opposite direction of his student, to where there were a few dummies laying in the sand.

He'd stop at two next to each other, using his right foot to kick one up and then spinning in the air after jumping, he'd kick it again to send it at his student. Leaving one next to him in case this didn't work. He'd then take aim at his student, hoping the dummy would distract him as he then breathed in deeply. With any luck, the dummy would stop his apprentice at the twenty meter mark and allow Syekren to convert the chakra in his throat to a heavy oil like substance. He'd then spit this out, lighting it with his katon nature chakra as he did so. A massive fireball about five meters by four meters flew in the direction of his student, able to cover the distance in a second or less. It would strike at the ground in front of lynn, splashing a bit up at him, being a fuel based fire. The ground it landed on would be burned, the sand quickly turning to glass as the flames stayed ignited. If his student didn't move he'd be hit with parts of the flames that bounced off, or his feet would catch on fire, spreading quickly.
