This story has been spoken of before; in a different time, a different place. But sometimes, time will repeat itself, allowing for new possibilities; which is exactly what is happening now.

"Mommy, mommy, I heard a branch break! Can we go look at it, pleeease?"
'Huff...Aura, we're doing a lot by taking you out for camping. Don't ask for too much. We'll let you explore when we get to the campsite.'
"Awww...okay, Mommy..."

The pale-skinned, cloudy eyed little girl skipped and pranced alongside a rather grotesque pair of adults; a foster mother and father; as they went through the forests of Mizu no Kuni. This had been the first time she'd ever been able to be outside the city, able to explore the world for what it is. Her first taste of real life. It filled her little heart with joy.

Her name was Aura Yukimenoko.

Why was she so sheltered, you may ask? Well, as she was told, and knew; from the day she was conceived, the girl was blind, from a sensory birth defect, most likely from the shaky history of her father. Not only that, her birth mother, Aurora Yukimenoko (a respected shinobi of the Aisu clan), died merely minutes after the procedure. As such, her new caretakers; friends of the Yukimenoko family, known as the Brinewaters; kept her inside all her life, in fear of her getting severely hurt due to her condition. This means she also did not join the Ninja Academy, deeming her as a simple citizen.

Course, what they didn't know was that the girl could navigate quite easily, and while being frail, wasn't useless. However, it's not certain whether or not she'd be able to explore how she wants to, regardless of how capable she really is.

One thing is for sure, though; this girl is a lot more childish than one would think, despite being sixteen, seventeen in a mere two days.

Sadly, this day was not meant to be bonbons and butterflies. Moments after the foster family sets the campsite, Aura would be called for by her "mother".

'Aura, sweetheart? There's some interesting noises up ahead I think is safe for you to check out. Do you want to find it by yourself?'

This made the sweet, sweet girl beam a wide smile at the promise of her first, minuscule adventure, as well as the fact her strict caretaker said she could without asking to do so.

"Oh, thank you so, so much, mommy!"

Alert as she was, she heard something rustling between the tall grass and squishing against the mud. Steps – many of them. From what she could hear, there were three of them. They were decently equipped, as she heard, from the clanking of metal and twisting of leather, and headed towards her direction... They grew closer, not bothering to hide themselves. They must have been very confident in themselves and their task at hand.

When Aura looked back, as she hadn't gone too far from camp, the mother and father were nowhere to be seen. It was only the child, on her own. How strange. That wasn’t how parents were supposed to be when faced with danger. This made her frown, and got her...obviously, quite scared.

Distracted by her feelings, she couldn’t react as quickly as she wanted to when the three men took her without a word; slashing her cheeks all of a sudden with a sharpened kunai, pushing her to the ground, and smooshing their feet on various parts of her body, including her face. All she could do was squirm and screech under the boot of her offenders, tears beginning to stream down her little rosy cheeks.

"W-why are you hurting me, misters? S-sto-"

Before she could say anything else, one of the men knocked her out with a single kick to the side of her head, efficiently immobilizing her. After doing so, two men would then simply trap her in the Water Release: Water Prison Technique, but not before throwing her in a brown rice sack. Then, they would start to trek towards the docks near the border of the city, every so often bickering about how stupid this job was.

...Why would they be doing this? Why would the parents leave? Interesting questions to note. Though, it would take until about Midnight for the rugged men to make it to their destination, where a boat would start to pull in, near the Mizu no Kuni Border...

Laying near the docks would be a sixteen year old male, whom of which was camping out nearby, having decided that he needed some time alone after the loss of his father. The old monk that had taken care of him all of these years had passed, leaving him with but a necklace to remember him by. Having only recently finished a private ceremony within the wilderness, which involved burying him, the sixteen year old would be thoroughly exhausted, both physically and emotionally, and had sought to rest for a day or so before returning to the village, where he would fully begin his duties as a Genin.

This currently sleeping, grieving male would be Yuudai, and this would be one of the few times he had actually ventured outside of Kirigakure since he and his adopted father had remained here, and it was seemingly more peaceful than what he had heard. He had heard stories of thugs or marauders having been camped out here, waiting to prey upon those too unknowing to realize they were there, of how the surrounding waters hold many dangerous beasts of the sea, and how the wilderness itself was full of dangerous wildlife, though Yuudai must say that he had been fortunate enough to not counter much of any of those things, only having come across one or two dangerous animals while out here so far, and even then, they were more territorial than anything else.

And now, as he was camped near the docks, gaining a view of the beautiful shoreline which separated the Land of Water from the rest of the world, he couldn't help but wonder what had made this environment be labeled as dangerous, when someone like himself can camp out here for a time, seemingly having not been killed as of yet. Having rested his head against his folded right arm, resting on his right side, he would be sleeping lightly. He hadn't expected to be woken up during the night, especially by other people that are present as well. However, this exact thing would happen as, in the middle of the night, Yuudai would hear heavy steps upon the wooden surface of the docks, accompanied by what could only be made out as some form of complaining.

The male, whom of which would have only just woken up, was immediately curious about what is going on. His vision in his right eye was still blurry and just sitting up with a start like he did made him slightly dizzy, though as he fixed his black hair and stretched his arms, standing up, he knew the first thing on his groggily functioning mind would be to see what would be happening. Beginning to walk, waking up slightly more than before, the male would scan the docks with his black eyes, realizing the sounds were coming from the other side of the building he was on, and that they were approaching the edge, where he could only just make out the faint shape of an arriving boat.

Rubbing his black eyes with his left arm, the five foot four male would pulled the red and black hood of his sleeveless hoodie over his head with his right hand as he would take a peek from the other side of the building, seeing what appeared to be three men, all three of whom are strangers, making their way to the boat. This had all seemed extremely sketchy to the male, whom of which would hide his village's headband within his clothes, pulling out a kunai with his left hand and holding it close as he would begin to step out of the darkness, right behind the three, approximately three meters away.

"It's a little late to be coming to the docks, especially if you're planning to travel. Are you guys in some kind of hurry..." His voice would trail away as he would finally take notice of the large sack they would have, where just looking at it had sent a chill down the Genin's spine. Whatever they were delivering, he could only assume it wasn't good, and now, he really, really wanted to see what was inside that brown rice sack. After placing the weapon in his mouth, casting the Bird hand seal, Yuudai's right and left hands would begin forming various small objects constructed out of wind chakra, the miniature torrents shaping into kunai, three in both hands, held between the fingers. "What's in the bag?!" He would exclaim as he threw the six throwing weapons at the two men that wouldn't be handling the sack, with two of the six aiming for one and four of the six aiming towards the other, the jutsu targeting their leg and groin areas mainly. Taking his real kunai out of his mouth and wielding it in his right hand, Yuudai would prepare himself for a fight.

To make it short; these thugs were completely and utterly wrecked. Their sensitive areas were no match for the kunai, and as such they fell to the ground, holding their crotches, with the ones who held the brown sack dropping it, which disrupted the Water Prison technique. Yep, that meant Yuudai would be able to figure out what was in the sack now.

However, he wasn't done yet; two, slightly tougher looking mercs ran out of the boat to see what had just happened, and, in a fit of anger, drew their swords and blitzed Yuudai. There was an opening, though, if he caught it; their formation could be broken by striking upwards, in the middle of their swords, with a kunai, as they had some sort of *X* formation. Whether he sees this is up to fate, but otherwise, he's in trouble.

Yuudai was more than satisfied with how the two thugs fell, knowing full well that, no matter how strong someone is, when you're in a fight, there is no such thing as "fighting dirty". The groin can make even the mighty fall if they take a nasty hit to it, so why not target it, especially when one is outnumbered? The one holding onto the sack had also seemingly dropped it, making the Genin shinobi assume that he would prepare to retaliate and attack him.

To his dread, however, it seemed that whoever was sailing the boat had decided to check on why those two thugs on the ground were screaming and moaning in pain. 'Just great, there are two more of them.' He would think to himself as the two others approached, looking slightly even more tough than the previous ones. Even more to his dismay, they drew their blades, apparently wishing to gang up on the male at once, essentially blitzing the male. He had gained some Kenjutsu training from his master in the past, however, and Yuudai could take notice of how they had an X formation and also knowing full well that if he didn't stop it, he would most likely end up in a great deal of danger right then and there.

Striking upwards with the kunai in his right hand, Yuudai would use it in order to stop the crossing blades in their tracks, leaving him having to use all of his strength in order to make sure the lock doesn't break. It was hard though, as they both clearly had more strength than the male, and they both also had an advantage in numbers as well, meaning that he would have to exhaust more chakra in order to help himself not end up getting killed by the inevitable overcoming of strength coming from the two. Forming the Tiger hand seal, though with only one hand, Yuudai would take this opportunity to lower himself, letting go of the kunai and completing the seal while he knelt down.

Immediately he could feel his chakra filling up his lungs, a burning sensation within him that nearly screamed for release. Giving it the release it desired, he would open his mouth, a cone of flames that would be one meter in diameter blowing outwards at fifteen meters per second, threatening to burn the two men in front of the Genin alive as it traveled up to five meters away from him, the flames directed upwards so they would burn the upper bodies of the two thugs without touching the sack. Then, as he was breathing fire, Yuudai would use his legs to propel himself back and away from the two by up to one meter, his backside sliding along the ground as he retained his sitting position.

Taking notice of how his kunai, which was previously discarded, was around two meters away from the Genin, Yuudai would scramble to his feet, instead entering a squatting position, with his body slightly leaning towards the fallen weapon, ready for him to attempt a lunge for it.

Once the flames had dispersed, the startled old geezers threw aside their swords, thinking it would be futile to use against a young Shinobi with the fire element; though, I guess in hindsight, that actually decreases their chances of winning this fight.

Regardless, they charged at him, in a synced position; leaning into their run with their shoulders, wanting to bash into his body. A reckless move, but not a dumb one; these men were rather plump, and they ran pretty fast, so if Yuudai were hit, considering he seemed a bit small compared to them, he would almost certainly be crushed. Of course, being a ninja, he could use their momentum to his advantage, say, I don't know...setting a trap for them to trip over and fall onto? Or, trip and direct their fall into the current? That would be the first things that would come into mind, but it was up to Yuudai with how he handled this.

Ha! Yuudai for a moment figured that these thugs had given up, as they threw aside their blades. He in return would have already grabbed his kunai, holding it in his right hand as he slid his legs under him and into a kneeling position, now watching as these men had instead resorted to what looked like a stupid tactic at face value, where they instead charged at him at the same time, aiming to bash into his body with their shoulders. They also seemingly ran faster than normal as well, adding on to the creeping threat they still posed, while Yuudai himself had ended up wasting more chakra than he could just to look inside a stupid sack.

He had to think on his feet and decide how exactly he should handle this, though he didn't have much time. Frankly, he was outclassed, outnumbered, and he couldn't use dragon fire more than once every small while, so he had to think of more, escapist tactics, a diversion or distraction of sorts, something that can help him get an opening in order to reach that sack and get to whatever is inside. Jumping into the air, Yuudai would look under him, where the futon chakra that was within his lungs, swirling and filling them up, would be blown out in a large gust of air.

This air would be strong enough to force the male up to six meters into the air in little over a second, knocking him upwards and slightly backwards, causing him to end up on the rooftop of the building he was nearby, effectively avoiding getting crashed by the larger in size group. Then, as the roof wasn't exactly flat, Yuudai would scale it, sliding down to the other side of this roof and onto the ground once more, approximately right behind some barrels.

Forming the tiger seal, he would then create two clones of himself in a large puff of smoke, leaving all three hidden for a short amount of time. Yuudai himself had remembered how these thugs appeared, however, and as the puff of smoke from before disappeared, another would appear, leaving the two clones that looked like him, while he himself appeared to look like one of their own.

Then came the theatrics. As one clone of himself jumped over the barrels, entering the open where he would run nearby the thugs, the disguised Yuudai himself would toss himself against the barrels, knocking them over and he himself into the open, where he would scramble up to his feet, still retaining his disguise. "Watch out, there's two of 'em!" He would yell out in a deep, gruff voice as he would turn around, the other clone jumping out shortly afterwards and running off after the other, though this time he would attempt to run around the group, attempting to further confuse and distract them.

The fake thug Yuudai would make a beeline straight for the sack, attempting to run towards it and grab it. "This is getting out of hand. I'll get the goods to the boat!" He would call to his "allies" as he would grab a hold onto the opening of it. It was certainly heavier than he thought, almost as if it was a person kept within its' confines. Grabbing it, he would start dragging it to the boat. Should he reach it un-interrupted, he would toss the sack onto it, he himself climbing on.

Should there be anyone on the boat, the disguised Yuudai would quickly attempt to stab them in the gut, further continuing his assault by attempting to push them overboard, where the male would then man the vessel himself. He didn't really have much experience in sailing one at all, but he did know that it wasn't exactly anchored, or even stopped for that matter, and so he would further go on to attempt to sail away from the dock, entering further out into the waters with the sack on board.

Those thugs might have been surprisingly strong for being...well, thugs; however, thugs are still thugs, at the end of the day. By that I mean...well...they're fucking retarded. They instantly took Yuudai's trick, chasing after the two clones with a vengeance, screaming like banshees, leaving the Uchiha with the boat to command at his will.

Once the boat had gotten out a bit, around where land couldn't be seen, the rice sack in Yuudai's possession began to wriggle. It would seem like his imagination, but, on closer inspection...it clearly isn't. There's little whines and whimpers coming from it too; the voice sounds like a girl. Oh my god, those thugs were kidnapping a girl! Who knows what would have happened if he hadn't saved her...!

"N-nyah...mommy, daddy...the mean men hurt me..."

Soft little sobbing would now begin, so, it's probably a good idea to get the girl out as soon as possible. She must be traumatized...

---------------------------------------

While she was unconscious in the physical events that took place, her mind ran a muck in her concussion-induced nightmare, producing images of...questionable conspiracy. In her unfortunate dream, the voices of her foster parents spoke, in place of the babbling from Yuudai and the thugs...

"We never liked you, you know..."

"It was only a matter of time before we got rid of you."

The words didn't make sense to her...how could it, after all, if they loved her so much and took care of her ever since she was a little baby, defenseless, who could have died in such a short time without the proper care? Would her parents really do that?

What sucked even more was the vague images of her parents, talking with similar scruffy men, of whom took her out like this, whispering;

"We'll take the job. That girl will never be a problem again..."

"Excellent...if we messed with her, we'd never hear the end of it...little spoiled bitch..."

Of course...when she woke up? She completely ignored these signs...these visions. Aura just wanted to feel safe again...and her parents, well...she associated them with safety.

"Woo!" Yuudai would say as the clones automatically dispersed alongside his disguise, leaving him able to put down his hold, exposing his unkempt hair with dark red bangs. He grinned as land could no longer be seen. Whatever was inside that sack was safe to him, and if it was illegal contraband, he could possibly get a reward for taking it back, and if it was just regular stuff, well, thankfully he's not a Buddhist anymore, so he's sure whatever floating invisibly godmother in sky won't mind if he kept a little something something for himself this time around, especially since he risked his own skin in order to get it. He was happy overall that his little act worked, he honestly didn't know if he would actually make it out all right if it didn't work. He was certainly running out of ideas, and overall he was only about as good as a regular person, and those thugs were clearly bigger, faster, and stronger than him. Honestly, if it didn't work, his next best bet would've been trying to swim away, with or without the sack.

With his voice no longer being deep and gruff, he would look at the rice sack, only to see it wiggle. Is something alive? What the hell? We're those guy kidnapping someone? If so, for what reason? He could also hear little whines and whimpers coming from it as well, almost as if someone or something alive was trapped within and scared as well. Slowly reaching for the sack, he would open it, kneeling down so he can actually see what was within it. Looking within, he would see a head of red and white hair, and a white and blue kimono, though any other details were unknown due to the darkness around. He would hear he cry out for her mommy and daddy, talking about how the mean men hurt her.
As she would sob, Yuudai would release his hold upon the opening of the sack, instead moving behind it, where he would reach for it, grabbing the corners and beginning to pull upwards, attempting to have the sack begin to be pulled out from underneath the captive within, releasing whoever it was. After the deed was finally done, the sobbing female would be left on deck as Yuudai would bring the sack over to the edge of the ship, tossing it overboard as he began to wonder why these guys were trying to kidnap her out of all people.

Could she possibly be nobility? If she was, wouldn't she have guards or something? It is possible she wasn't wanted anymore, a runt of the family taken to be kidnapped, but even then, there were better ways to carry this out, not to mention they could've easily just taken her out themselves. Does she possibly have something special about her? That would make the most sense, as generally he heard the horror stories of how village's would try to kidnap those with special abilities, to bring them to their villages and experiment and try to extract them. It was partially why he hadn't bothered to awaken his own Sharingan, despite what his Guardian wanting him to do he can remain true to his roots. Without it, he looked just like everyone else, he didn't even have to call himself Uchiha until he can finally find the child of his would-be parents, and reveal himself to her.

"Hey, you okay? The mean men can't get you out here. We're long gone from them. When we traveled far enough away I can try to bring us in for land and see about bringing you back to your parents." He would say as he would set down on the small deck around a meter away from the female, his back leaning against the small railing that prevented him from going overboard, with he himself breathing slightly more heavily than normal. That maneuver took more out of him than he thought. Hopefully they don't catch up with them. It's one thing to get a sack, it's another to protect someone else, and he frankly didn't have any experience on being a bodyguard. "What's your name? You know why those bad men were after you?"

With a little, somewhat adorable squeak, she would flop onto the deck after Yuudai had pulled the sack from under her, shooting right up after the fact. Her whining and sobbing had now stopped, as she rubbed the tears off her pale, yet pristine face with her kimono sleeve, and she simply sat there now, looking blankly at the direction from which the voice came, of the young teen (though not entirely) who had, well, saved her. Of course, Aura had no reason to believe he wasn't her savior. Plus, he wasn't old, dirty and stinky like the thugs that took her away. At least, that's what she could tell from the way he obviously smelled, but also the way his breathing went, and how his spine didn't slack over. The girl felt all of that simply by listening, and feeling the vibrations he made on the deck with her hands.

"I-I think I'm okay, mister...but no, I don't know why the meanie men took me. They just did it when I was having fun! And, my name....it's Aura."

Once Yuudai had gotten a good look at her face, he probably noticed the blank mistiness in her eyes; fairly similar to those of the Hyuga clan. Of course, that obviously wasn't the case with her; or, if it was, it wouldn't matter. The way she moved her head and neck around, how her eyes looked in the wrong directions; it was safe to say she was actually blind. Though, as for her physical condition...she obviously lied when she said she was fine. A big bruise was on her forehead, along with cuts and scrapes dotting her face all over, and a bit on her arms. It's possible she suffered a concussion, from the looks of her head injury, but otherwise none of this was fatal. She probably just needed medical attention.

Apparently the whining and sobbing had ceased after she was released from the sack, thankfully. It wasn't that he had an issue with emotions. In fact, he felt it was pretty good for one to have feelings, to express them in such a way. There are plenty of people that are more cold or selfish than anything else these days, and for someone such as this girl, whom of which was seemingly innocent in nature, and was still callable of crying and being afraid when the time comes to be scared, it was a nice sight, in a weird way. As she rubbed her tears away and simply sat there, Yuudai would begin to notice that something wasn't right with her, and he didn't mean mentally, either. She was blankly staring, and the strange mistiness of her eyes betrayed her in the fact that it revealed that she was seemingly blind, either that or visually impaired. This wasn't Konoha, where the Hyuuga are, and it was certainly unlikely she would be kidnapped back if she were brought here. She'd probably be dead by now, and someone would have a nice set of eyes. No, she must be blind, that's the only explanation he can come up with for her odd eye color, unless Kiri had a clan that had these eyes as well, which is just as likely.

She also seemingly spoke like a child, despite appearing as if she were around Yuudai's age. He would be assured that she was okay, but admitted to her ignorance of why the "meanie men" took her, as they just did it when she was enjoying herself, she would also give him her name as well. As Yuudai's eyes adjusted to the darkness, he partially wished at this point that he had knowledge of medical ninjutsu, as the female had a rather large bruise on her forehead and cuts and scraps dotting her face and her arms. It was clear that she needed some help, but he knew nothing in that field, so she had to just suffer through with this until they can reach a safer place that has someone that can help her. It was also an issue that she had no idea why she would be kidnapped by those thugs. Clearly, there either must be something special about her, or there is something sick with them, because people don't just kidnap a girl on a whim, and even if it did happen, there wouldn't be that many people. No, there has to be a reason, an ulterior motive.

"Do you remember what was happening before they tried to take you? Was anyone with you at least? Anyone we can find when we land?" He would ask. At this moment, he could see the dark shroud of approaching land in the distance, where they will eventually land, a few miles away from those docks. From there, it would probably be safer if they searched their way to the village, but honestly, he wondered if she was even from there. He was only out here to help himself get some peace in order to deal with his deceased guardian, a trip really to come to terms, he couldn't think of a singular reason why she would be out here, especially as she is blind. He could only hope that she had at least some kind of idea as to what they are going to do next. "My name is Yuudai, by the way. Nice to meet you, Aura."

Soon enough, the innocent young woman in front of him would begin to shakily stand up, gaining her footing on this mysterious sensation of...floating. She hadn't realized it until now, but, they weren't on solid ground anymore. Was this...that ship vehicle she read about, in her braille books? Now this was something she could get behind! Too bad the situation they were in right now wasn't a good one to explore the boat; despite the sudden glee she felt, obvious by the sunny smile that appeared upon her face, she bottled it back up to get back to the situation at hand. It was serious time. So now, she answered the queries of the Uchiha.

"Oh, I remember mister! Me, my mum and dad were out on a camping trip! It was...well, kinda weird...since, they never let me go outside before...but, that's what I was doing before they kidnapped me. And it seemed like my parents didn't even hear me...and that they were trailing off away from me. But I don't know."

She seemed a bit worried at that prospect, as the stinging words came out of her lips. But no...they couldn't have done that purposely to her. They're her parents! Why would they do that?

"But, if we find a village with a fish shop with a funny sign on it, that's where I live. It's near there; you can take me to my parents, if they're still there...I hope they didn't get kidnapped too."

After getting that out of the way, she slowly stepped over to where she could hear Yuudai's breathing from, and gently hugged him, nestling against his chest. When she came in contact with the young man, he'd notice how abnormally cold she was; it was like hugging a human icicle. Though, it still felt nice, especially since it was a rather humid, warm day anyway. It was her way of saying thank you, for saving her.

"Woah there, be careful now, we're on a pretty poorly made boat." He would comment in regards to the female shakily standing up. She was blind, and it made Yuudai worry that blindness might end up getting her knocked off the boat if she begins moving around too much. It's primarily why he was sitting down, trying to recover his energy before he got up again. He couldn't imagine using so much energy and then falling overboard like this, he would certainly be screwed, especially if he's blind all the while. This person, she was injured and chances are she wouldn't exactly make it far if she fell overboard as well, not unless she had known which direction they're moving in.

She would speak, however, explaining how she was on a camping trip with her mother and father, mentioning how weird it was since they never met her go outside before, but that's what she was doing before she was kidnapped. It almost seemed like they didn't even hear her, not to mention trailing away from her, but she doesn't know entirely. This merely made Yuudai frown in response however. It seemed all too fishy that a pair of controlling parents would leave their child alone like that, unable to hear them. Red lights were going off in his head, and all he could consider was that they abandoned her, though would they also be responsible for sending those thugs to take her away as well? The consideration of it seems almost terrible just to think. To think, someone's parents, people that worked hard to bring them into the world, has developed a lack of love for them so empty that they get people to go and get rid of their own child! That's just terrible, but they have to consider the worst of it, especially should this girl end up returning to them. What happens when someone like Yuudai isn't around a second time?

Aura spoke up, saying that if they find a village with a fish shop and a funny sign, that's where she lives. He can take her to her parents if they're still there, and that she hopes they don't get kidnapped as well. Then, before Yuudai could react, she would hug him, revealing the extremely cold skin of hers against his own warm skin. It felt nice in regards to the contrast with the current weather, but considering how cold she felt, that was something in itself that was nearly improbable. She was as could as his own dead guardian when his blood no longer flowed through his veins, except she was perfectly alive and hugging him now. He would hug her back, though would release his hold, standing up and looking outwards to where he can see the docks to the Hidden Mist village. "I'm sorry, but it looks like we're not stumbling along any small villages, Aura. We're just outside of Kirigakure, and it may be best if you go to a Shinobi and tell them about the bad men, so they can better help you find your parents and make sure they're safe." He would say as he began steering the boat towards the docks, trying to bring them both back into the village. Honestly, it was a lie, something he didn't wish to tell at all, as he hated lying, but he knew that having Aura in the safety of capable Shinobi was far preferable over the large question mark that is her parents, and masking it as a way of saying that they could help her find them would have two meanings behind it, as well. One of the two would be their finding them and saving them, revealing them to be victims as well, while the other is them being revealed to have a part in this. Both outcomes were preferable, and as the sun slowly began to rise in the coast, he could only hope she was okay with this decision.

Aura felt nice and warm in Yuudai's embrace, taking a sniff and liking his scent as well; it was obvious he bathed, and she definitely approved of this. Stinky boys aren't exactly the best to be around! However, this feeling was soon demolished as she was let go, the Uchiha apparently walking a bit before leaning against the railings. From what she could tell, he was looking around for land, which was a good sign, cause she wanted to be home soon. With that, she slowly followed him, having a better footing on the deck of the mostly tame boat, stopping when he began to speak up once more.

She could tell in some of the tones of the voice, that he was fibbing, only from her newfound intuition alone. Maybe she was just being silly, but ever since she had been kidnapped, it was a bit harder to trust a whole lot like she was used to. But, he did save her life, so she could at least give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just doing the same thing the old thugs were, in a nicer way instead. Why would he go through all the trouble of doing this for her, if he wanted to do that? That'd be quite silly! No, she just thought he was trying to get rid of her. And there's no way she's letting the closest person she's had to a friend up to this point slip out of her fingers so easily! In order to try and prove her point, which was kind of right, yet not so much, a grin ran across her pretty face and she spoke up.

"W-well...if we haveee to do that, you're coming with me! You're the one who saved me, after all, and a prime witness at the scene~ So you have to, agreed?"

This made Aura rather proud of herself, pushing her chest slightly in the air to try and seem a big bigger, with her hands on her hips, an all around sassy expression coming from her. It was a bit cute, but generally childish. At the very least, she wasn't in a state of panic, or scared for her life, and was just ready to be with her parents again, so everything would go back to normal. Gotta lighten the mood somehow! And with that, she'd trot on over to Yuudai, and give a little snicker, leaning against the railing beside him so she could take in a whiff of the soft, fresh waters. Her long, snow white hair, with it's fire red highlights flowed beautifully with the lake winds, complimenting her bright, sunny smile. It felt nice, to be surrounded by nature like this, even if it wasn't in the water itself, and she could almost swear she heard a few fish jump out at the water to try and get a look at her. All around, being kidnapped was still almost the best day in her life. That's all about to change, however...

This is slowly becoming something of a light headache for Yuudai as he would hear he blind girl out, essentially saying he will have to come with her as he's the one that saved her and, as a prime witness, he has to. He looked at her, eyeing her for a few moments, trying to see if she was for real. He wanted to return to relaxing, to finishing his time of grieving and then return fully to doing his job, not cutting it short, especially right now when it was early dawn. Still though, he knew he wouldn't have a choice but to comply. Honestly, something like this should be expected. After all, she was recently victim to a kidnapping, chances are she didn't exactly trust him to leave her to her own devices, at least it would either be that or some reason he didn't know of.

After seemingly making herself try to seem bigger, probably as an attempt to help express her unwillingness to budge on this, she would trot over to him, snickering. As she leaned against the rails, they both would apparently lean in silence unless she spoke up again, as Yuudai himself would consider the negotiation. "Alright, deal." He would say after releasing a light sigh. It was slightly hindering, but at least he knows that it's for a good reason. If anything, in the long run, which he should be looking towards, if anything should happen then at least he'll be there to make sure she gets out okay, and even farther beyond that perhaps he had also made a potential ally or even a friend on this day, which he always welcomes. Soon enough, the boat would reach the dock, where Yuudai would grab a discarded rope and attach the small vessel to one of the wooden pillars, insuring it wouldn't drift away.

"We should get to looking for your parents' place. There is a chance it could be in Kirigakure itself since you said it was in a village, and since I'm coming with you I guess we won't be needing another shinobi, either." He would say as he waited for Aura to get off the boat and, hopefully, remember where her home would be exactly.
