Description: Byakugan is a special eye trait limited to Hyuuga Clan members. When this Bloodline Limit is used a strain is forced around the eye below the temple towards the ears. There's a noticeable difference on the user's face: blood vessels appear to be pulsating through the skin. The user of this Bloodline Limit is capable of turning it on or off at will (after originally performing the hand seals). It appears as though its use has no negative physical effect on the user, but it is not known what kind of effect is placed on the eye after being used for a prolonged period of time.

When the user activates Byakugan, the user gains exceptional vision. This new vision allows the user to view an opponents Chakra circulatory system. The user also has a field of vision, which is almost 360 degrees, minimizing the blind spot. In addition to this, the users range of vision can increase over a very long distance. The strength of this vision may depend on the ability of the user. The increase in range of vision complements the new field of vision. This allows the user to detect, without effort, any action within a 15m radius (the small blind spot is counted as an exception). The Byakugan user boasts an advantage in the field of close combat due to the vision and sense of nearby surroundings he/she has.

After activating Byakugan, the user can perform Jyuuken (Gentle Fist). The level of Jyuuken performed depends on the ability of the user and the strength of the user's Byakugan. A skilled Byakugan user may use Jyuuken to seek an opponents Chakra holes (Tenketsu) and attack the Chakra circulatory system directly by making then it target of a Jyuuken attack. A highly skilled Byakugan user is capable of damaging all of the opponents Chakra holes and potentially shutting down the opponents Chakra circulatory system.

The power of the user's Byakugan is based on their rank:

D: At this stage the Byakugan is usable in battle, the detail given by the eyes are detailed enough that they can make out some smaller objects. They can even notice the gross movements of a human. Most importantly, the Byakugan gives enough detail at this stage that the chakra circulatory system can be seen.
C: At this stage the Byakugan can see things in enough detail to discern facial expressions. In battle, the detail is enough to notice needles and other small projectiles, if just barely. Most importantly, the Byakugan is capable of seeing the larger tenketsu on a person.
B: This stage the Byakugan can easily see and keep track of many small things, even needles or insects. The Hyuuga is also capable of seeing all of an opponent's tenketsu in detail. Finnally, the user is capable of seeing through solid objects, although things on the other side of objects
becomes increasingly distorted.
A: This is the final stage most Hyuuga reach. At this point they see everything to the smallest detail, their eyesight with the Byakugan can finally see in more detail then the normal human eye, in addition to its special abilities. The user is capable of seeing through solid objects also improves greatly, although things still become increasingly distorted after looking through a few feet of solid matter.
S: Considered the epitome of the byakugan, at this stage the Byakugan can
perfectly see through objects, everything within 50 meters of the user
is known. The byakugan can even see far beyond those 50 meters, but anything beyond that distance is heavily distorted. As for the detail, that has improved to the point where a member of the Hyuuga could actually count the legs on a fly… which would be amazing if a ninja ever found himself in a situation where he needed to count the legs on a fly and didn't have enough of an education to know all insects have six legs.


The Jyuuken is the fighting style utilized by the Hyuuga along with their Byakugan. This is considered by most to be the strongest fighting style in all of Konoha because of its ability to destroy an opponent from the inside instead of merely breaking bones. The style uses swift and fluid motions to deliver open palm attacks and finger strikes to transmit power chakra waves to cause damage to the muscles and organs. Using the Byakugan the user can see the opponents Chakra Circulatory System so that the Hyuuga can send the chakra through that system in order to make their strikes more powerful. The Jyuuken has to be trained, this is not a jutsu so you can't 'use' it. It is a style in which you can advance by training and ranking up. Every Jyuuken allows you to register for stronger jutsu that matches your Jyuuken level. So if you mastered a certain level of the style it does not mean that you can do everything that the description said. Certain things have to be registered first.

Description: This is a simple, if specialized seal. There is no base, and the seal is created with a single hand. The user creates a fist, with two fingers extended outward, and charges the fingertips with chakra. They then write the symbol of the element they wish to harness, which creates the seal of the jutsu. They then either smack, punch, or slice the seal with a blade to release the chakra. The effects are as follows:

Non-Elemental: The seal breaks, releasing a burst of very bright light and a sharp, high pitched note for several seconds that causes a 1 post stun and blinding effect to anyone that both sees and hears the seal break. If only the tone is heard, the affected is deafened for 1 post.

Description: With this technique, one replaces their own body with a block of wood or some other object, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations.
