Clan History: Martyr's have been present through-out all of history. They arguably make some of the best stories to tell, as there is nothing more heroic than self sacrifice in manys eyes. Sacrificing yourself for the greater good is often seen as heroic, and bold, and something to strive towards by many. The original founder of the Junkyōsha was one of these people. A lesser known Ninja of Sunagakure no Sato. Lin was no special man. He was relatively average by all standards, and only ever made it to Chunin in rank. However Those of Junkyōsha Clan, still honor Lin as one of the many hero's of Sunagakure, as the Chunin managed to discover the Unique KKG of the clan when he sacrificed his life, to save his squad on a mission that had gone arry. The tails of his abilities was passed on to his two sons, when they were old enough to begin becoming ninja. It was his Oldest, Kai, that quickly discovered the ability for himself, and how to use is practically to enhance himself in Combat. In fact it is said that Kai himself developped the Martyr's Hell, variation of the Clan's KKG.
However all was not well. For there is two things people sacrifice themselves for. There was Darkness growing in Kai. Upset at his father for his foolish sacrifice and for leaving the siblings behind, Kai wanted revenge on those that had abandon his father. Growing ever powerful as he mastered the art of self sarcifice Kai, eventually killed all of his father's squad mates for abandoning Lin. Kai then fled Sunagakure, never to be caught. Kai's children have been scattered, However a small amount of them built a compound for themselves in Kumogakure, whilst the younger son, Nii's children remain in Sunagakure, where the clan is still alive, though small in numbers. Aside from those of Kai's Children who remain scattered, There is a few other exiles from the clan, as both sections of the clan, in Kumogakure and Sunagakure, will exile clan members if they have been show to use Martyr's Hell techniques, as they their usage is forbidden amongst both sub-sections seeing them as only tools for revenge, and the reason for the Kai's vile acts.

Kekkei Genkai Name: 殉法, Junhō - Martyr's Arts
Kekkei Genkai Description: You cannot gain something without losing something first. This is a basic principle that some feel govern the universe. Members of the Junkyousha clan feel no different. This even includes the practice of Jutsu and utilize chakra. First you must give up chakra in order obtain and utilize a technique. It was the Junkyousha clan members that built upon this idea. Being the Selfless beings they are They began to see themselves as things they could give up in order to obtain things, thus leading to the Martyr's Art. The specific ability that all junkyousha clan member's have at birth.
Martyr's Art is an ability accessible to all clan members no matter their rank or age, and it something they can utilize from birth. This ability allows clan members to sacrifice certain things about themselves in order to gain power. These specific techniques will have to be applied for by the each individual clan member, require medical ninjutsu. These techniques usually enhance the user or their chakra in same way shape or form. These techniques can be denoted by a number of cosmetic occurrences as well if the user so wishes.
There are two types of Martyr's Art techniques: Martyr's Strength, and Martyr's Hell. how these two types are applied and function all vary from one another but they all have one thing in common. They all revolve around sacrificing a portion of one's self. What type of Martyr's Art the user is using must be listed in the "Type" section of a jutsu like so.
Type: Offensive/Supplementary - Martyr's Hell
Type: Offensive/Supplementary - Martyr's Strength
However, These two types are not the only types of martyr's techniques to exist, If a clan member wishes to create a new typing, it is done through a a passive E-rank technique, that is modding in the Jutsu section. All custom typings should be listed in the spoiler at the top of the user's Jutsu list.
The two types that all members of the clans can use from conception are as follows.
Matyr's Strength - These are standard sacrifice techniques, in which the user offers up something to sacrifice to either increase the power of a technique, or to maintain a passive benefit from activation. These techniques require double the normal cool down requirements, and the thing that was sacrificed cannot be used during the duration of the technique, or the cool down of the technique. However once the cool down is over, the user regains the ability to use the thing that was sacrificed instantly.
Matyr's Hell - These techniques work similar to Matyr's Strength techniques in the sense that they can be used to increase the power of a technique or be used to maintain a passive benefit, however how they function is a bit different. Upon activation of these techniques the user retains the ability to use the thing they offered as a sacrifice, but still retain the benefit of the sacrifice. However, once the ability ends, the user is instead dealt the thing they sacrificed as physical damage (Meaning if the user sacrificed their arm, the bones in their arm would shatter, and their muscles would be torn apart to the point they couldn't use the arm even if they wanted too, nor will the arm receive any chakra flow to it.) Additionally, the wounds caused by this technique cannot be caused by these techniques cannot be healed for the duration of the cooldown, and once the cooldown is done, these techniques then require a rank higher of medical chakra then the martyr's hell technique used to heal the wounds caused by the technique.
Note: All matyr's Technique must list what is being specifically is being sacrificed in technique, as should the benefit received from said sacrifice. it is up to the person modding the jutsu to determain if the sacrifice is good enough for the benefit being received.
Additionally, Matyr's Art Techniques are applied for like normal techniques, meaning they can be of any rank, and combine with any specialization to preform or enhance specific jutsu, the one constant thing between all matyr's art techniques, is that they require a sacrifice.
Additionally, Clan members can use martyr's art techniques of one rank higher than normal. (Can use B-rank Martyr's Art techniques)
Drawbacks:
- Clan members Must take Hesitant (Element) and it cannot be balanced with a positive.
- Additionally, Clan members take a 25% increase word count when training Techniques that are not Martyr's Techniques.
- Martyr's Techniques are naturally weak to Medical ninjutsu, as such when martyr's Techniques are clashing with medical techniques, Medical techniques receive a +1 against them.
- If something is already being sacrificed by a Martyr's technique, then another martyr's technique cannot use that same thing as a sacrifice. (I.E. if you use a technique which sacrifices your arms, you cannot then use a technique which sacrifices your left arm, or both your arms again.) Likewise, you must first possess the thing you wish to sacrifice, so if you get your left arm chopped off, you cannot then use a technique which sacrifices your left arm.
- General Notes on Modding Martyr's Arts - Expectations for Suitable Sacrifices:
- So, martyr's arts are complicated bits of material, without a lot of solid framework, and so i'd like to include some note here to establish a bit more, and assist those looking to mod these techniques
First, what qualifies for a suitable sacrifice has been left more vague than not intentionally. This has been done for not only the benefit of the players but for the modders as well. With the current vagueness it is the modders prerogative to set the standard for what they view a suitable sacrifice to be. if you perceive a technique which gives up usage of the user's left hand as not enough to go gain max B-rank speed from a C-rank jutsu, than you can require a greater sacrifice, or require they tone down that benefit a little bit. that right has been left in your hand. Or if you feel if someone giving up all of their movement to gain a single C-rank punch, then you can allow them to up the benefit they receive from the sacrifice or lower the sacrifice.
This was designed so Modders are given power to deter main what they feel is a fair trade off. However for the sake of assist, a tier-list of sacrifices has been created.
Tier-0: Shouldn't not be used or allowed for a sacrifice. and are generally considered bad.
Tier-1: low sacrifice, but viable for some weaker techniques.
Tier-2: Moderate sacrifice, where a moderate portion of clan techniques should be pull from.
Tier-3: Greater sacrifice, slighter harsher sacrifices, used for slightly better techniques or some higher ranking techniques, most techniques should still fall around here
Tier-4: Harsh sacrifice, used for some of the stronger techniques and should yield a very decent benefit for the sacrifice made
Tier-5: Death. Generally yes, only death really really falls in this tier, and as such techniques from this tier should yield the best rewards possible.
To be effective most matyr's Techniques should be using tier-2 sacrifices or tier-3 sacrifices for some of the better benefits, however matyr's Hell techniques are generally only the only techniques which can make use of tier-4 and tier-5 techniques due to their delayed effects.
Teir-0: usage of a single finger or toe, the able to use tongues, the feeling of a small or specific region, the ability to do a specific insignificant action such as say a specific word, or position their hands in a very specific manor. Generally things that have no effect on actual combat.
Tier-1A single tier or two of a stat. A passive bonus they receive from something like Taijutsu, the ability to use a specific part of their body such as a hand or a foot, the ability to speak, or the ability to preform a specific task that is combat related.
Tier-2:Three or four tier stat loss, the ability to use both hands or feet, the ability to use a single limb, lack of ability to use certain jutsu (such as katon jutsu, or Taijutsu), The ability to feel. Multiple items from tier-1
Tier-3: greater than a full rank of stats , The ability to use two limbs or more, The ability to utilize techniques except for certain exceptions, The ability to breath, The ability to see, hear or smell. Multiple items from tier-2
Tier-4:Your consciousness, The ability to use chakra, All movement, Multiple Senses (more than 2), Loss of memory (more applicable if Matyr's Hell technique as that is permanent) Multiple items from tier-3
Tier-5:Your life, Multiple items from Tier-4
Please note: these are only meant to serve as guidelines and to help those get an idea of where their techniques should stand, and not meant to serve as actual rules, and it still fully up toe the modder's discretion as to where things should stand.
