Mid day and as usual, the chronic learner of Iwagakure was busy doing what he usually did: reading things in the library. Currently, Yusuke had found himself some scrolls pertaining information to Suiton and different kinds of Suiton jutsu. As a user of the suiton element, his attention was immediately hooked. He had happened upon the scrolls early morning after arriving at the library; since then, he had been immersed in the study of those scrolls. It was in the afternoon, that the ruckus outside caught his attention. The noise of people panicking and running, someone crying while someone screaming with pain; it sounded like all hell had broken loose. ”What’s going on out there?”, thought Yusuke as he made his way to the streets.
Medics were escorting injured people to the hospital while their loved ones were panicking and worrying about their well being. Yusuke saw a few people, badly injured. Having no medical expertise, he couldn’t deduce how bad their health was but it felt pretty serious. ”Will daddy be okay?”, asked a little girl hugging her teddy bear as she ran along some shinobi carrying an injured man. ”He’ll be okay, we just need to patch him up at the hospital”, replied a medic with a kind voice. Looking around, Yusuke noticed a lady running away and towards the hospital. He made his way towards the lady, ”What’s going on?”, he inquired from the frightened lady. ”A bull has gone crazy, he injured several people and it’s just running rampant”, she replied as she continued on her way.
”A bull running rampant in the village, that’s seriously dangerous.” , thought Yusuke as he stared in the direction of where people were running away from. The library was located in the middle of where the incident was happening and the hospital. That’s why Yusuke had been able to hear the commotion and was now aware of what was happening. A jounin approached Yusuke from behind and pat on his shoulder, ”Find yourself a comrade and go deal with it”, he instructed as he disappeared right after. Having no idea with what had just happened, Yusuke had no option but to follow the instructions. Why was he chosen to do the job? Who was the jounin? Who would Yusuke find in this commotion? Maybe those questions would remain unanswered. Regardless, he had been given a task and as a genin, it was his responsibility to comply.
Having no game plan, Yusuke headed in the opposite direction of the crowd. What lay in store for the slightly capable genin? Only time would tell. It would take Yusuke a few minutes to get to the scene where the bull had attacked the crowd. After arriving the scene, Yusuke found the herd and the owner of the bull. Apparently, the criminal had escaped the scene and the owner had managed to calm his herd. Medics were still escorting injured people from the scene towards the hospital. Everything was just so chaotic, Yusuke couldn’t make sense of much. The only thing he could fathom was that he was assigned the task to deal with this bull. How? Why? He, really didn’t know.
So to find answers about the bull and what really happened, Yusuke made his way to the owner of the bull. An old man, holding a stick with a long white beard; the expression on the old man’s face could tell the tale of his ordeal. ”Are you alright? Can you please tell me what happened?”, said Yusuke in a gentler tone. He could see that the old man was worried and slightly frightened and this was probably not the best time to ask questions; but what else could he do? Unless he knew what happened and in which direction the bull had run off to, he couldn’t do anything.
