Nozomi
D-rank
Nozomi knew that for now, it was best not to spend time in the main city of Kumo for the current moment of time. Things still were probably calming down there, and it wouldn't do to be caught hanging around in Kumogakure as she wasn't sure she wouldn't end up being detained. It appeared that something big had gone down, but Nozomi didn't have the full story just yet. All she knew was that Ayakashi had already come and gone, and Sanosuke still held his office as Raikage. At the very least, she knew that something had happened to avoid any form of all out warfare between their two nations, but tempers were still on the rise, and it could prove to be troublesome for her should she show her face at all, and she'd rather not test that just yet. Something had happened, but until she was fully recovered, there wasn't much point in her even bothering to try and gather information or return back to Kirigakure at the moment. She just needed some time to collect her thoughts for the moment.
Some of her earlier discussions with Gin had gotten her thinking. Why hadn't Gin tried to do anything in the first place? Sure, she was involved with Sanosuke, but she admitted it herself, had Ayakashi asked her to, she would have broken the prisoners out herself. And knowing that Sanosuke had wronged Kirigakure, she'd made no move to stop him. And of course, she would have tried to stop Nozomi from assassinating Sanosuke regardless of Nozomi's challenge, even knowing his transgressions. Even now, Nozomi hadn't changed her mind about killing Sanosuke. It was still high on her mind, regardless of Ayakashi's own actions and withdrawal from Kumogakure. Her own loyalty was to Kaekio above all else. Her girlfriend had expressed her doubts in Sanosuke's ability to lead Kumogakure, going so far as to defect from there herself. There wasn't any indication that Sanosuke would be willing to remove himself from office, so the easiest course of action would be to remove him herself. Kaekio could then return to Kumogakure
It didn't matter though. She wasn't exactly in any position to be going into Kumo even if she wanted to. Her fight with Gin had taken a lot more out of her than she'd planned on, and it was proving difficult for her to fully recover. She'd really pushed herself in the fight, and she was still out of it. Having pushed herself as far as she did, it was still rather interesting that her body was still able to react as well as most Jounin could, so even if she were to run into a tight situation this far out from any of the shinobi that would be protecting the city, she would be confident in her abilities to fight them off should she need to, at least long enough to escape from them. It wouldn't be an issue in the slightest, she wasn't a Hunter-nin Captain for no reason, after all. Her skills were markedly higher than most individuals were, so even in a weakened state, she wasn't all too concerned about her odds against most people. Her speed was nearly unrivaled when she removed her weights, and with Flowmotion, she didn't even need to take them off, she could get up to high speeds without any problem. Her main issue was in her lack of familiarity with the area. She didn't have a home field advantage here, and any Kumo shinobi out here would probably know the layout of the land as well as she knew Kirigakure's.
That being said, she'd not seen any such Kumo-nin around, and it didn't appear that she would. She was fairly close to the border of the great nation and a neighboring smaller nation that housed the Village Hidden in the Frost, and had been actively making her way towards the border, to recuperate outside of the boundary that Kumo-nin would be allowed to operate in. She wasn't ready to return home to Kiri just yet, and couldn't stay here. If Konoha were closer, she'd make the trek there, but she didn't want to leave the area completely, so the smaller village would do just fine for her tastes. The thing that had made her stop though, was that the Hunter-nin Captain had stumbled onto some sort of campsite. She'd been following a riverbed the entire way, as she knew that it would lead her towards her destination, but it appeared she wasn't the only person who took this exact path. It was rather strange, and she knew it in an instant. Her training had taught her more than basic tracking skills, and that included an ability to know when someone had been in a place recently or not. Every indication of this camp gave off heavy signs that it was very recently used.
Sliding her mask over her face, Nozomi shifted into a more cautious stance, her right hand trailing towards the hilt of her katana, should she need to draw it with any haste. She should have hurried on from the area, but her inquisitive mind wasn't one that really let her do so in the first place. This wasn't some sort of ordinary camp area, and she knew it. Judging by some rocks near the other side of the river, someone had been doing training around here. Judging by the amount of damage done to them, it suggested someone who trained themselves in Taijutsu, or at least focused on their body more so than most normal shinobi. However, the amount of damage done was indicative of someone with a lower level of strength, rather than any beast of remarkable power. Perhaps it even amounted to some levels of Doton training. But that wasn't what drew her attention. Her training as a Hunter-nin had familiarized her with all of the other countries in order that she be able to track a target down anywhere she should need to. Unlike the ANBU, she was more equipped and meant to spend her time outside of Kirigakure. She knew for a fact, there was flora growing here that wasn't indigenous to the area, and in fact shouldn't even be able to thrive here. It was from Konoha, who's vastly different climate would allow for the growth of such things. That clued her in on two things: The shinobi who had camped here wasn't likely to be a shinobi hailing from these lands, and that very same shinobi was likely to be from the clan of Senju. A well respected clan, known throughout the lands, and one that the Hunter-nin knew plenty about.
Piecing together what information she had gathered, Nozomi came to the conclusion that whoever was here had to be some sort of low ranking shinobi from Konoha's Senju clan. The amount of training done here wasn't indicative of a higher ranked shinobi, or more damage would be present, and there wasn't much point in training this little if they were of Jounin level. It would do next to nothing, and this area was obviously lived in. The main question being, what was a Senju doing out this far into Kumo's territory? Perhaps they were some sort of missing-nin, seeking refuge out in the wilderness of a foreign country. Or perhaps Konoha had sent in their own troops to reinforce Ayakashi's? No, that didn't make much sense, officially there wasn't a war, and she hadn't heard of any mass movement of troops from Konohan forces. Beyond that, sending in lower ranked shinobi wouldn't have done all that much unless it was a bulk movement, so a team of high level specialists would have made the most sense. Judging by the wear and tear in the area, this was all from one person's doing, meaning the likelihood of them being some sort of traveller or missing-nin was much more prominent. Perhaps they were still in the area?

- Spoiler:
- Nozomi was dressed in a manner that suggested she was prepared for combat. She wore a slightly altered version of her normal uniform, more bunched up at one of the sleeves to allow for quicker movement without tearing seams, while on the forearm, it lay tight to the skin, her weights attached on over the form fit, snug with no creases. The other side of her was mostly uncovered by the first layer, to allow her easy access to inside pockets which hid some smaller weapons in inside pouches, namely senbon and shuriken. Interlacing some of her different fabric colors to halve a plain blue kimono to cover up her exposed side, the other half draped down over her leg a bit, Nozomi would use a belt to keep the thing closed. She had sewn on a strip of fabric to the neckline of the Kimono, and fashioned it into a scarf to keep the main bodice of it up, as well as allowing for quick disrobing of just the Kimono by unwrapping the crossover. That way she could use the sleeve to hide weapons from sight, but also remove the Taijutsu inhibitor quickly if necessary. Her pants were like the sleeve, with some seam allowance down to her calves, where it would once again form fit tightly, to allow for her weights to fit snugly without bunching up her pants. Unlike some, who wore their armor on top of their clothes, Nozomi had her ANBU armor on under, hidden by the clothing, her weights covering the gauntlets and greaves perfectly.
She mainly chose to wear her ANBU armor in order to be harder to trace by means of chakra sensory techniques, so if she needed to vanish, she could, but it was also her best armor. Her Hunter-nin mask was on, but she'd slid it to the side of her face, covering her left cheek, but exposing her face. It looked rather angelic, with the sides of the mask appearing as feathered wings, and a light blue cross in the middle of the face. Two light blue streaks ran down the cheeks, from the bottom of the eyes, and the eye holes would produce her eye color, which shone through when she wore it in a strangely perfect mixture, as if the mask was made to compliment her own eyes. Even though it marked her as a Kiri-nin, she still wore her Kiri headband around her neck, as always. That was something that rarely ever changed, it just felt more comfortable for her to have it.
She was armed like normal with a good deal of her blades, the twin set of tanto's that had been completed for her by Gin upon her graduation to Chuunin lay in their usual position across the small of her back, one of them covered by the half kimono, the other easily visible and within quick draw range. Her best Tanto was strapped behind her shoulder, also exposed and fully uncovered for quick draw time, but otherwise hadn't changed. It was a work of art, for certain. The newest addition to her blades, the weapon she'd chosen upon her becoming a Hunter-nin Captain, a beautiful work of Kirigakuran black smithery, was securely fastened to her side, over the kimono side. The Katana was by far the longest and best weapon she had, and was a marvel of Kirigakure technology. Her Tanto was of similar make, but this was made so beautifully it almost seemed to cut through the air quicker than other weapons of similar style.
