1 Unfortunate Circumstances [Kaze no Kuni -> Mizu no Kuni] Fri Nov 11, 2016 9:38 pm
Keiko
D-rank
It was a long journey ahead of her that she would have to take on in order to get herself home. It wasn't simply a matter of getting to the border of Kaze no Kuni - there were other smaller territories to get through, and even the outskirts of Konoha. The trek itself would take a handful of days, even if she was travelling alone without any extra burden. Keiko had packed light, returning to her homeland with what appeared to be less than she than what had travelled to Sunagakure with in the first place, so many months ago. She had a light cream-coloured jacket on, slim dark blue jeans covering her legs, the ends disappeared into a pair of stylish combat boots. Her small backpack was dark in colour, stuffed within were a handful of thin choice Sunagakure outfits that she had discovered a fondness for during her stay in the Land of Wind. Snacks aplenty were scattered in her bag, along with two bottles of water. A few pieces of basic weaponry lay within the clothes, as well as a kunai in her left boot, and simple pieces of senbon in her pockets. All precautionary, of course, but the chances of her needing to make use of them were slim.
Home. The word seemed foreign, a meaning attached to the mono-syllabic word that she no longer understood. Sure, her family still resided in Kirigakure – but to begin with, they weren’t her biological parents. She had grown up in a village with little familial attachments, even somehow managing to avoid contact with the renowned clan from which her bloodline descended from until she was well into her adult years. Perhaps that was one of the reasons why she enjoyed her time out of the Land of Water so much. Her original intention had been to get out and see the world, but also to train herself against the harsher conditions of Sunagakure, where it was common knowledge that those of the Aisu bloodline didn’t fare well against. Of course, it didn’t end up being as simple as that. The developments that occurred had been life changing, from the training she received, the new specialization she had begun training, and … him. Shaking her head, Keiko decided not to dwell any longer on that thought, given how she had spent the first four hours of her trip gathering her emotions and steeling herself for her return. She couldn’t let it be discovered that she had fallen for a Sunagakure shinobi, lest she be deemed a traitor.
Not that they would have much time for her personal matters anyways. From the minimal information she had gathered, their Mizukage had decided to step into matters relating to Kumogakure, and rumours of a takeover were afloat. As though the war with Seven Bells wasn’t enough to shake them up. But Keiko had to admit – their village had rebounded from the devastation caused by the previous war quite nicely, with fresh new genin eagerly training, and an abundance of high ranking shinobi. If the rumours were true though … a large handful of those high ranking shinobi, including their Mizukage, wouldn’t even be in the village when she returned. Ugh. What is the point of dragging me back then. She thought disdainfully, but the previous anger that she had felt had no dissolved into mere resentment. Kicking a rock out of her way, Keiko decided that she should pick up the pace. The sooner she got home, the sooner she fould figure out what was going on, and when she could return to Sunagakure. Thoughts of returning were already in her mind, despite not leaving the gates for long.
