Satoshi smiled warmly as Lin accepted Syn's gift with gratitude. The scalpel he'd given her seemed to be a tool that she was in need of and would carry with it the warmth of the days memory. He had been wrong about the small gift. It had been rather impactful.
Further, Syn addressed the gift that he had offered Satoshi. The one that he had politely refused. Instead, he chose to offer a more potent and future gift. He offered to tutor him in Fuuinjutsu. Satoshi knew very little about the art of seals. They were hardly covered in academy and he'd not met a ninja who'd used them in his presence outside of Syn. He had used them to store and summon forth his puppets.
While Satoshi had no designs on using puppetry or hiding behind clones, he could sense that this skill could potentially become invaluable. His grin widened and he nodded once to Syn.
"I'll be sure to come and find you then Syn-Senpai. I look forward to learning about it from you." His words carried with them the harmony of sincerity. The music of his voice was a song of gratitude and interest. It was perhaps, if you could believe it, more chipper than usual.
"Ride the clouds?" Satoshi chirped in curiousity as Syn suggested such a romantic sounding thing. He absent-minded lay pointed in the direction of he and Kozue-Obaachan's home.
A few moments and seals later and a dragon erupted out of the earth behind them. Satoshi jumped and stumbled forward in surprise before he began to clap in delight. As the stranger construct curled around them he leapt atop it eagerly. Syn had been the first to mount up, but not for lack of trying on Satoshi's part.
He laughed joyfully. The sort of sound that came from a clear heart and an empty head. The simple love of life that was brewed within the soul of one who hadn't acknowledged the darkness of the world just outside his doorstep. Of course, if you asked Satoshi, he'd tell you that the darkness would never encroach on him. He'd claim that he'd light the whole world up, so that everyone can laugh as mirthfully as he! In smaller, dumber words, obviously.
