"A Single Stone holds no True Significance..."

The Rokkaku Clan are a notable and fascinating mountain dwelling clan high in the ranges of Iwagakure, noble and puritanically loyal to the country of Iwa, they have served it and each Tsuchikage for centuries going back long before the first ninja war. The Rokkaku over time and through their great and numerous efforts, having expanded to completely encapsulate multiple small villages which surround Iwagakure, becoming more of a collective barony than a single clan in of itself. However, within the loose structure of well to do lords from various families that make up the Rokkaku, contains a 'pure' branch of the clan which have inherited the name from birth, rather than simply the title through deeds and politics. These clan members are the inheritors of the clans powerful Kekkei Genkai, and are the sole reason for the continuing success of the clan as a whole. These people, often trained as ninja for their unique skills, are taught to use the Koga-Ryu or Koga Method, as well as mastering their skills with the Doton element in order to further ensure the success and status of their ever growing empire...

There are many Myths and stories about notable Rokkaku clan members who had died or served their country. One about a great hero who single handedly fought back a wave of bandits, another of a young boy who with his sling and a stone housing a diamond fell a great giant. But the greatest and most well known myth, which many others stem from is their relationship with the stone of the mountains of Iwa and the creation of the Koga-Ryu; a well known and documented ability to sense sediments deep within the stone, be they gems, faults, minerals or sediments. Retroactively, the Koga-Ryu was considered a sensory chakra ability which the clan inherently possessed... however, records of the clan members having used it, far precede the great wars and the coming of the lady Kaguya. This fact, leading some brave ninja and alternative historians to believe that there may have been other mystic clans who were able to use some form of supernatural power before the coming of the moon goddess and the seven sages granting of chakra to the world. This Myth alone seems to have some evidence to support it, as the Rokkaku do seem to possess the ability to sense the natural mineral sediments within soil and stone.

Whether the facts are true, or they were simply inspired by fiction, is impossible to discern.

The Rokkaku exemplified this uncanny and almost supernatural ability through commerce and the endless wars of the world before then, using their abilities to mine for precious metals and minerals to create explosives and other devices, they were expert miners, sappers and engineers which contributed well to the raising of the great country during its very inception. It was commonplace for Rokkaku clan members to devise stratagems around weak points in earth, using rock slides, sink holes and reactive natural materials to dictate the flow of battle, hindering cavalry and turning the very ground beneath invaders into an enemy that needed to be overcome. The reputation of the Koga-Ryu gave the clan great prestige within the country of stone, and ever since, the Rokkaku have been considered one of the many favored clans within the ninja state.

Though, after the coming of chakra, the power of the Koga-Ryu was definitely seen to increase in its power, from being able to simply sense the inherent properties within the stone and soil, to being able to manipulate them in some degree, fusing the sediments with their stone to create a vast array of abilities which pushed the prestige of the clan ever skyward. their Doton abilities became legendary among the neighbouring clans around them, so much so they quickly became community leaders and teachers of their ways, quickly spreading influence until they were one of the larger clans in Iwa. Deeply following the principles of the 'Will of Stone' set forth by the first Tsuchikage when finally the village was formed.

Since those times, every Member of the clan is a believer in the 'Will of Stone' that only together, can we build a world of peace, and that the actions of a person alone, are less significant.

Kekkei Genkai Description:

The Koga-Ryu, is a complex ability that is kept secret from all but the blood members of the Rokkaku Clan, taught in hidden classes deep in the hearts of foothills that house the clan's mansions for the sake of Secrecy, they are taught about how natural chakra flows through each of the elements that can be found within natural Soil and Stone. The Koga-Ryu, allows the members of this clan to notice the most subtle nuances in the earth around them (ie. movement of Doton techniques, hidden sinkholes, differentiation etc.) as long as they can perceive it clearly, to the point of it acting like a sensory technique of one rank lower than their own.

As well as the sensory ability, although the Rokkaku are unable to control these materials with Doton, they can control what Doton impurities which lay within them. This allows the Rokkaku to tactically create and control Doton which has higher or lower levels of these minerals and sediments to create specific effects. While the active practice of the Koga-Ryu, allows them to focus on three particular uses; Red Stone, White Stone and Black Stone. The Rokkaku, upon the activation of any Doton technique, can pay an additional -5 chakra in order to alter their Doton release as either Red Stone, White Stone or Black Stone to make their Earth Release Techniques vastly more versatile in specific situations.

• Red Doton: is the title given to the 'Red Stone' technique of the Koga-Ryu, where the Rokkaku clan member pulls up Phosphorus rocks in order to construct their Doton Techniques, pulling the Doton impurities from the Phosphorus to make the technique explosive and increasing its offensive potential. Its to be noted that combined with Katon, this method can be made to create 'white phosphorus,' a molten substance that burns many many times hotter than normal katon and can only be used at B rank and higher.
  
  'Red Doton' Techniques performed by the Rokkaku Clan, are noted to explode on impact or several moments after being exposed to air. The Pure force of the explosion hits a 1m radii at 15mp/s around the doton technique, delivering light second degree friction burns as bleeding abrasions over exposed areas as well as delivering deep bruising. The force of the explosions can throw unprotected people several feet.
  
  (White Phosphorus techniques begin at B rank, and burn for 2 posts. They have no explosive qualities, delivering moderate 3rd degree burns on impact, and cannot be extinguished in that time save for a vacuum.)
  
  
• White Doton: 'White Stone' is created by the Rokkaku Clan member using the Koga-Ryu to pull a large amount of Sepiolite or Graphite into their techniques. A naturally insulating material that has a high energy resistance and a level of conductivity, giving the stone a whiter appearance to resemble something similar to white marble.
  
  White Stone techniques, due to the more resistant and porous nature of their construction, are able to better protect the stone from its natural weakness to Raiton Techniques. As Such, White Doton, while still being strong against Suiton Techniques, is no longer weak to Raiton.
  
  
• Black Doton: Black Doton is the name given to the techniques used by the Rokkaku where the clan members create their Doton techniques with a much higher Carbon content, compressing it into a much denser, heavier and more sturdy material, while having the same basic function, although reducing the range and radii. The added Carbon Content makes the techniques appear an almost shimmering black, much like coal, or black diamond.
  
  Black Doton is many times sturdier than normal Doton Techniques. Defensive Techniques which use black Doton are able to withstand an additional technique that they would normally defend against, at the price of reducing any range and radii of the techniques by approximately 1/4 where applicable. (Ie. A 4m wide protective dome technique which would defend against 1C and 2D rank abilities, would now be 3m wide and defend against 2C and 3D rank abilities, but would not allow you to defend against 1B rank.)
  

Drawbacks:
Though the Kekkei Genkai of the Rokkaku is one that many consider difficult to contend with on the battlefield, they have their own fair share of limitations. Their Doton techniques, while they allow a grand degree of versatility, due to their natures combining any two colours would result in there being not enough of either mineral to have the technique be effective at either function, leading the clan to only being able to use one application at a time.

• Elementalists: Members of this clan have a focus on their Doton element more than almost any other facet of their training, as such, Doton must be taken as the primary element of members of this clan, and they must take the Hesitant (Specialization) negative special characteristic (SC) without being able to balance it with an additional positive SC.
  
  
• Doton Aligned: Having such an affinity for Doton creates a deep rooted connection in both the clan member's body and their own chakra, leaving them vulnerable to the element diametrically opposite to their own. Members of the Rokkaku clan receive +1 rank of damage from Raiton techniques.
  
  
• Workers Physique: While many members of the Rokkaku clan have been mythical swordsmen and master martial artists, few of them have ever been overly feminine or lithe in size and stature due to their history as stone workers. Often masculine and well muscled, but by no means without admirable features or natural athleticism. Rokkaku clan members receive -2 tiers to their Speed Stat.
  
  
• Land Dwellers: As Doton Users who rely on their access to minerals within soil and earth, in tropical and sandy places with vastly less of these elements, Rokkaku find themselves in a great bind, needing to pull their minerals from much further away requires more effort and chakra. As such, using Koga-Ryu methods in the lands of Kirigakure and Sunagakure costs and additional 5 chakra to activate and is considerably tiring. B rank and higher techniques used this way will exhaust the ninja quickly to the point of feinting should they activate many in close succession.
