In its early days, Clan Arashi was well-known for producing shinobi of exceptional quality, especially in the areas of ambush and stealth. Masters of weaponry, especially shuriken, they were famous for special tactics developed to use shuriken as much more than a simple thrown weapon. Using Ninjutsu techniques, Arashi shinobi could cause shuriken to explode. They could also cause it to change direction in flight, tracking a target with impeccable accuracy. They could even use a thrown metal weapon as an “eye”, “seeing” with any flat surface of the weapon.
Unfortunately, following a rash of failures and traitors, the clan began to move away from its shinobi past, focusing more and more on trade and commerce. After a few generations, the skills that had once made them powerful were lost, and the Arashi were known as nothing more than silver-tongued traders. However, that all changed with the birth of Kakushi Arashi. From the moment he saw his father’s ornamental shuriken, kept as heirlooms from a forgotten past, Kakushi was determined to be shinobi. His mind was right and his heart was right, and after much training he reawakened the spirit of the past, in particular the clan’s forgotten Kekkei Genkai: The Burēdomerudo, the Blade Meld.
Kekkei Genkai Description: Burēdomerudo, the Blade Meld, is a very powerful form of Bukijutsu. Used primarily for shuriken, though capable of being adapted to almost any ranged weapon with a metal attack surface, this kekkei genkai allows its user to use his or her chakra to form a mental bond with their weapon. This allows the usage of the weapon in jutsu even after it has left the hand. In the case of shuriken, its most common target, it can be used to guide the shuriken in flight, trigger special effects such as explosions, or even to use the shuriken as an “eye” for reconnaissance.
Drawbacks: Just like any powerful technique, the Blade Meld causes some disadvantages to affect its user:
- The Blade Meld requires intense focus to use. When using jutsu like the Shuriken Eye and Shuriken Control, a user cannot move.
- Any Genjutsu trigger that hits a mind-linked shuriken will affect the user as if they were hit.

Description: The user uses a certain amount of chakra (10 at D-rank, 15 at C-rank, 20 at B-rank, and 25 at A-rank) to initiate a mental link with a shuriken, then throws it, using the link to cause changes in flight once it has left the hand. The amount of control and the speed of the shuriken depend on the user's skill
D-Rank-The user can maintain control for a maximum of 1 post, and has a maximum control distance of 20 meters. The shuriken can travel at a maximum speed of 15m/s, and make no more than a single 90 degree or less change in direction, with a 1/5 meter minimal turn radius, while maintaining normal speed. A 90-180 degree change with a 1/5 meter minimal turn radius can be made for a 10m/s reduction in speed.
C-Rank- The user can maintain control for a maximum of 2 posts, and has a maximum control distance of 40 meters. The shuriken can travel at a maximum speed of 25m/s and make no more than two 90 degree or less or a single 90-180 degree change in direction with a 1/5 meter minimal turn radius while maintaining speed. An additional 90-180 degree change, or two more 90 degree or less changes with a 1/5 meter minimal turn radius can be made for a 10m/s reduction in speed.
B-rank- The user can maintain control for a maximum of 3 posts, and has a maximum control distance of 60 meters. The shuriken can travel at a maximum speed of 35m/s and make no more than a single 180-360 degree change in direction, two 90-180 degree changes, or four 90 degree or less changes with a minimal 1/5 meter turn radius while maintaining this speed. Twice this number of changes for each degree with a 1/5 minimal turn radius can be made, but the shuriken takes a 10m/s reduction in speed.
A-rank- The user can maintain control for a maximum of 4 posts, and has a maximum control distance of 80 meters. The shuriken travels at a maximum speed of 45m/s, and can make an an infinite amount of directional changes with a 1/5 meter minimal turn radius without losing speed.

Description: The user uses 10 chakra to initiate a mental link with a shuriken, then throws it. As the shuriken flies, it transfers the images reflected on its flat surfaces back to the user's mind. When the user closes his eyes, these images appear. The shuriken has a sight range of 20 meters, though at this distance things are almost imperceptible. The most optimal sight range is around 15 meters. If the shuriken reflects a bright light, the user can be blinded. If the shuriken goes out of the 25 meter range of the link, the link is automatically broken.

Description: The user holds a shuriken in his hand and forms a mental link with it. He then channels 10 chakra into the weapon, giving it the effect of an explosive tag. However, unlike an explosive tag which can be triggered by pressure, a Shuriken Mine can only be triggered by the user's mental link. Generally, a user will throw the shuriken at the feet of a target, where it would not usually be a threat, and when the user's guard is down, the user triggers the chakra in the weapon and causes it to explode. The delay between the mind activation and the explosion is about one second, and the resulting explosion is a cubic meter large and causes second degree burns. If the shuriken is embedded in the target, the explosion is powerful enough to destroy limbs and cause third degree burns.

Description: The user uses chakra to initiate a mental link with a shuriken, then throws it at a target. The amount of chakra needed depends on the amount of clones being made, to a maximum of 25. This same chakra cost, in this case 25, is needed for every post in order to maintain the swarm. The shuriken travels at 45m/s, and approximately 5 meters from the target, spawns up to 25 shadow clone copies of itself that form a third of a meter thick-cloud around the target, slicing at it at a speed of 45m/s. The shuriken can cause as much damage as the user wants, from simply being an annoyance to literally tearing the target apart.
