Clan History:

Once a clan in Kumogakure that went by the name of Remashita, the clan had average renown, often being seen for their specialty with sealing. Many talented ninja came from the clan, some focusing on training their elements, others their skills. But throughout it all, they all kept the tradition of being practitioners of fuinjutsu. Unfortunately, soon, fuinjutsu specialists existed outside of the Remashita clan, many better than the Remashita. The clan found its place in the village disappearing beneath their feet.

The leader of the clan at the time, Midori Remashita, advised his clan to leave on a long pilgrimage, to rediscover their place in the world, and perhaps uncover any potential the clan’s fate held. And so a large number of shinobi, children and otherwise, departed. The clan travelled all over the world, frequenting the various hidden villages and learning what they could. This pilgrimage occurred for years, until about 100 years later, a breakthrough occurred.


While in Sunagakure, 13 members of the clan came up with a plan. The leader of the clan at the time, and the oldest of the 13, suggested that they return to their roots, but with a twist. Each of the individuals that agreed to this plan had a talent different from each other, and were born at different times of the year. The leader, Jotaro Remashita, focused all of his life in training summoning alongside the clan seals. He was born on February the 29th, during a leap year. Each of his other companions were through different times of the year. Mutual inspiration struck the group, and they concluded their plan to bring about the return of their clan. They consulted with the fuinjutsu specialist of the group, who spent sleepless nights and countless days perfecting his technique.

He began by testing this technique on the leader of the clan. By placing a seal that he personally designed for that individual, all muscle memory and nearly all of the chakra became tied to the seal. After a process that took 3 days and 2 nights, the sealer added an inverted version of the same technique to a young girl of about the age of 8. To the delight of the sealer, it worked perfectly, with the girl obtaining the gifts of the clan’s leader, and seemingly a natural with the summoning he had used. Also fortunately, Jotaro survived the sealing. However he became numb over his entire body, and while he could still manipulate chakra and use techniques, his skill at doing so was gone.

Fearing that this could go negatively for the future generations, the sealer tried the same inverse seal on another child, once again of the age of 8. Once more, the child became proficient at summoning. First the sealer checked up on Jotaro, where he was pleased to find his situation had not changed; once his skill had been sealed, the seal took no more. Furthermore, the previous test subject, the little girl, was also fine, and seemed to have no adverse effects. He began making seals for every other member of the group, each one having similar results to the first. 12 different seals were created before the sealer created a seal on himself. The seal drained his chakra and any skills he had developed, however still he tried to deliver the final seal. He attempted to give this seal to one last child, however, due to his diminished chakra, died from the process. In his honor, the remaining 12 took the sealers notes, and divided up the assignment of seals to the youth dependent on their birthdays. The seals were passed down through clan history, in books and scrolls. And at the decree of Jotaro, the clan was no longer the Remashita, but the Tanjō. The clan had been reborn.


From that moment on, the clan began a steady rise in its fame and popularity. While it was still not a high regarded, famous or infamous clan, it was finally seeing a return to employment. Villages accepted the clan, and as such the clan itself scattered, living wherever they are welcome and serving the villages to the best of their varied abilities. The smallest amount of the Tanjō can be found at their roots, back in Kumogakure. While the clan do have members residing there, due to a minimal grudge held by the clan for their replacement, it is the least popular place among the clan. Often times the clan will hold meet ups, where every few years the clan will all migrate to a single point, where they are to meet with one another, commune, and enjoy merriment. Sunagakure is the most popular place for this, followed by Kirigakure.

Kekkei Genkai Description: The powers of the Tanjō clan come from the seals placed on the clan members while they are young. Because of this, every member of the clan has a symbol of their zodiac, along with various seal signs, along one side of their face. Furthermore, depending on the day the clan member was born, they have different strengths, as their seal determines the Tanjō founder they take their power from.

Seals:

Drawbacks: Due to the nature of the clan and their skills, sealing techniques are a weakness, as it can mess with the seal already effecting an individual of this clan. Fuinjutsu techniques count as +1 rank when used against members of this clan. Furthermore, if the seal is ever undone by an unsealing technique, the character that was unsealed proceeds to suffer numb (If a character already has numb, then it suffers blind. If it has numb and blind, this does not apply), and suffers a reduction of 50 chakra to their cap. This effect can be undone, however the character must leave the location and head back to their starting village to have the seal reapplied. This must be a minimum of 1000 words.

Any reductions to chakra cost given by a seal cannot be stacked with other chakra cost reductions.

Due to the focus on the strengths of the 13, clan members may not learn Bukijutsu or Kujutsu.

On top of this, clan members must take the Ryo Ignorant negative SC without counter balance, as their pilgramiges often leave the members unaware of the progression of economy.

Additionally, different seals come with different weaknesses.

Description: The user focuses their mind to the skills they have recently used, circulating chakra around their body to refresh their body clock to what they’d done before. This causes the cooldown remaining of C rank or lower jutsu that the user has recently used to decrease by 2, to a minimum of 1 e.g. the character uses a C rank jutsu with a cooldown of 4 posts, and then uses this technique. The C rank jutsu can then be used again in 2 posts, rather than 4, however as soon as it has been reused, it returns to its normal cooldown.

Description: The user places a temporary version of their seal, one that has a weaker hold, and as such, a weaker effect. A character who has the Seal of Sharing placed on them gains the benefit of the users seal until the seal is undone either by the user, or by anyone with B rank fuinjutsu. E.g. a character who has the seal of Capricorn and uses the Seal of Sharing on someone, gives the person with the Seal of Sharing the bonus range to Ninjutsu techniques so long as the Seal is on them.

You're going to need an additional active drawback, and to specify that any chakra reduction cannot stack with any further chakra reduction effects. ensure you're limited each and every one of the zodiac to 2 buffs and be sure that you're saying like: +1 rank in strength etc. Cos, +1 can mean a multitude of things.

I will come back to this clan a tad later, as it is a pretty big job, and even 'I' need a second opinion on this one, it should be fine as any and all the buffs are exclusive... it's just a lot of paths, though it is thematic.
