1 Time to go A-Wandering [To Konohagakure] Mon Mar 19, 2012 12:56 am
Midnight
D-rank
It had been quite some time since Midnight had much interaction with truly unique individuals, the last being Daisuke, whom he had sent off to another village. It wasn't necessarily that Midnight was growing bored of his village, so much as he thought it might be more exciting elsewhere. Midnight did ever so love interesting things. Since he liked doing it, the reports for the Kage were all completed, and there was nothing that needed his immediate attention for the time being. With this reasoning he felt it was a good time for him to do something of his own accord. Daisuke couldn't have all the fun, after all.
He had already prepared everyone for his absence in case anything should happen. The only thing left for him was the actual leaving of the village and traveling to where he wanted. Where exactly he was going, was a bit undetermined at this point. He figured that he could go to just about any other village, since there weren't any nations hostile to the cloud village.
Midnight made his way out of the village, waving off the guards, as they already knew that it was fine for him to be leaving the village alone. While normally guards would be assigned to him, he had dismissed them, figuring he would be okay on his own. Bandits might try to attack him, but they would be no match for a ninja of his rank. Just in case, Midnight stayed ever vigilant throughout his journey.
The majority of the trip was interesting in its own way, as Midnight was able to see the sights of the countryside. He decided to go to the Village Hidden in the Leaves, so it was an adventure through his mountains and then eventually the forest. However, between the Fire Country and Lightning Country was Frost Country and Hot Springs country. The night that he spent in the Hot Springs Country was quite enjoyable, but not entirely interesting. This fact gave him the drive to continue on his way to the Fire Country.
Once he had made it through the Hot Springs Country, it was all forestry from there on. The trees were just beginning to bloom from their winter's rest, green buds and pink flowers beginning to show up on many. Though there were indeed trees in Kumogakure, there were nothing in comparison to the sheer mass of trees in this country. Midnight thought it to be a quite beautiful sight, one he was glad he could properly enjoy without the worry of duties or allergies. He felt no guilt as he lazily made his way through the land, inspecting the various kinds of trees and bushes. He made especially sure to look at each fruit he came across, as he had a liking for such things. However, he was not so much of a fool to eat every one he came across. Instead, he decided to just keep them with him for the time being, despite the fact that he wasn't affected by the adverse effects of food.
The landscape was such a stark contrast that Midnight was a bit overwhelmed at first. To his advantage, he had brought a bag of Durian so that he would be reminded of home, and so he could share with the villagers of Konohagakure. He had eaten some as provisions for part of the day, but he knew that he shouldn't eat to many, lest he run out before he could share. It was also in this bag that he had kept the various fruits he had picked up on the way to the village. In the end, he had to eat just bread and water for a time, hoping that the village would have some great places to eat. Of course, almost anything can seem delicious when one is starving for real food.
The mountains he traversed were nothing new to him, he had lived here for all of his life which allowed him to know the place like the back of his hand. However, beyond the mountain country was mostly a mystery to him. He had a map with him though, so it wasn't like he was going to get lost or anything. He quite enjoyed the greenery that the Fire Country had to offer, something he was definitely not used to. With all the trees around, there must be some interesting fruit around, he figured. And vegetables too... he thought with disgust.
It had taken more than a day's journey, but Midnight had made it to the village without much to say about any of it. While he found it to be an extraordinarily interesting and profound adventure to another land, he knew full well that if he were to explain it, many would just find it boring. Midnight was always like that though, he didn't mind it. Such a blessing it was to enjoy almost any activity he did.
Of course, it wasn't every day that another village's leader would come to this land. As such, the guard immediately informed the Hokage. Midnight paid no mind to this, as he had no particular feelings towards the man. Instead Midnight decided to get to know the villagers, hoping that he would find some interesting fellows. If he didn't, then he would have to make some fun. Fun was the reason he had come to this village, after all.
