Clan History:

The Mayaku clan of Kusagakure was a traditional-style family, renowned for their production of medicines, plants, and drugs. In the days of old, Mayaku shinobi focused on medical ninjutsu as their specialty, becoming medical ninja who provided natural remedies to soldiers on the battlefield. They grew knowledgeable of the effects of plants and fungi and harvested those that were of use to their studies. They became well-known for their skill in healing using natural methods alongside chakra-based healing techniques.

However, over time, the Mayaku clan fell heavily from high graces due to the varied interests of the clan leaders. The branches began to argue and eventually the family order within began to collapse. The more traditional structure of the respected clan gave way to a drug-smuggling business of which functioned underground outside of the knowledge of the authorities (Or rather, the authorities were paid off well enough to just ignore the under-the-table dealings involved). The clan took on a more yakuza-style atmosphere, abandoning interests in everything except for money and power.

Many members of the clan became foundlings, young children orphaned and taken into the clan for work. The clan was never out-matched in the production of opiate/plant-based narcotics. Of which, they grew wealthy enough from. Eventually, the clan became notorious for backwater schemes and scams as providers of illegally made alcohols and drugs. Most of which, much to the chagrin of their consumers, contained naturally addictive properties to keep them hooked on the Mayaku-specific brands. Likewise, this addictive property turned out to be a double-edged sword. As Mayaku-nin began consuming their own product, they themselves became highly addicted.Over time, due to the families long history with narcotics, they slowly changed and developed the ability to shape chakra to make smokes, and oils that had various medical, and or narcotic effects. Their sweat even held traces of narcotic alkaloids, similar in much the same way the opiate poppy secretes narcotic latex from its flesh. The nature of their chakra also became narcotic.

Upon the destruction of Kusagakure at the hands of Hao Uchiha, many Mayaku clansmen (little more than mere civilians rather than shinobi at that point) were slaughtered with ease. Those that remained took to the deep forests and disappeared, abandoning their village without much care or thought. Most Mayaku are skilled enough in the shinobi arts to put them into application for self-defense should they encounter an obstacle. However, those of whom now remain are little more than wandering con artists, drug dealers and vagabonds in search of an easy scheme for profit in taking advantage of less leery travelers.

Kekkei Genkai Description:

Due to the addictive consumption of their own opiate-based concoctions, members of this clan fell into such a heavy concentration of the substance in their own body that the chakra within them mutated into that of similar chemical properties. Their chakra took on a narcotic nature, allowing for the natural secretion of opiate-based alkaloids. This is seen best in the ability to secrete narcotic pain killers from their pores and bodily fluids, which in turn causes a constant numbness in the user’s body. Likewise, the users can create smoke within their lungs in conjunction with Katon that when inhaled causes hallucination-like genjutsu on those who breathe it in. The narcotic effects of the hallucinations cause blurred fish-eye lens-like vision and dizziness. Anyone who is able to distance themselves from the narcotic fumes or chakra, will gradually have a diminishing of the effects.

Those who come into contact with the narcotic chakra experience a -1 stat drop in Perception. Each time an opponent comes into contact with the chakra, the sense of their visual perception drops another -1 with a cumulative cut off at -3 drop in Perception stat. Inversely, it takes the equal amount of posts for the effects to wear off. Therefore at the maximum, it will take 3 posts for the full effects of the -3 stat drop to vanish.

-2 stat drop: Opponent experiences mild dizziness and blurring of vision
-3 stat drop: Opponent experiences dizziness and blurred vision


Drawbacks:

With an addictive form of chakra, those of the Mayaku clan will become more irritable and angry the more chakra they use. The less of the addictive substance they have within their body, the less effective they become, making drawn-out fights a risk in itself. This effect is similar to addiction withdrawal. Often with lessened amounts of chakra within their body members of the clan will become agitated, paranoid or restless and experience an unexplained tire or weakness. The narcotic basis of the chakra causes a constant physical numbness within the user’s body that cannot be remedied. As a result, Mayaku clansmen must have the negative characteristic of Numb. Any effects caused by the chakra on another person are only available through direct inhalation of the alkaloids or injection of the opiate-based alkaloids into an opponent's bloodstream.

User's of this kekkai genkai are under a constant reduction of Two Tiers for their Perception stat because of the way their own chakra relaxes their body. Thus, resulting in constantly slower reflexes. User of this kekkai genkai can also only use one other chakra nature. Likewise, exposure to the narcotic chakra causes only short-term effects. With the reintroduction of oxygen into the lungs or distancing from the narcotic fumes or chakra, the effects of the ninjutsu will dissipate in turn.

Description: The user injects an opponent with their narcotic chakra, much in the same manner of normal medical ninjutsu. The injection of the Mayaku chakra causes temporary numbness in the part of the body where the chakra was injected. The effects can be utilized to help soothe the pain of an injured ally. The effects of the injection are only temporary and eventually wear off as the body processes the alkaloids. The effects are entirely caused by making contact with another person.

Nice idea, i would like you to give much more detail on what the hallucanative effect is and for its effect, as it stands the ninja who is effected would get to opt on the conditions of the reaction. Which, would make the effect essentially worthless as it would always be handle-able. What I think you should do, is say that contact with their chakra repeatedly should have a -1 to perception that would be culmative each time someone came into contact with it. So, hit them once, they would get -1 tier to perception, hit them a second time, it would become -2, and a third time it would be -3. and maybe add some special effects like blurring etc. But no staf debuff should move higher than -3, also, you would need to give a time it would take to wear off. Something like 4 turns would be fine.

TLDR, I'd like more detail on the specific effects and you to add something a touch more concrete.
