Harichimo
D-rank
The calls rang out to rally all available shinobi for a huge undertaking. The veil between the living and spirit world has become weak and a spirit village has become visible. As soon as the village become visible, reports streamed in of people needing to be rescued from the spirit world. Every Daimo sent word to their villages and all shinobi were asked to head right there.
Harichimo was no exception, even on his mission to Sunagakure, this took higher priority. He was in his apartment when he awoke to a knocking at his door. Thinking it was Karumo or Oomi he threw on his jacket and and opened the door. When he looked no one was around and the hallway was empty as could be. Harichimo looked down to see a formal looking letter dropped at his feet. He grabbed the letter and opened it up to reveal all the details of the mission. He would take a seat at the small table in the room and put his hands to his head. The elders of the Kazako clan warned the children about messing with the affairs of the spirit world and told them many tales to scare them straight and keep them in line. These stories especially imprinted on Harichimo and he took them all to heart whenever the elders told their stories of people being snatched up by wandering spirits and taken to the village of the spirits. But the struggle brewed in his head that people needed to be saved from that village and their livelihood means more then some superstitious tales. Harichimo had to take one more deep breath to bring himself down before he folded the note back up and slid it into his coat picket as he left the room. He thought Karumo and Oomi would both have their own letters and would maybe be tasked to their own assignments for the rescue mission. Harichimo would quickly lock up his door and keep a brisk pace out of the hotel and make a jog for the village gate.
It would be a short journey before Harichimo would find the outer boundaries of the village. The wilted dead tress seeming to get sparser and sparser the further he went. Almost as if a cloud of death and shadows took away the life from the land. The sky began to clog up with clouds of darkness as the sun was seemingly choked out of existence. He would soon reach the veil with presented itself as a mirror like barrier. He could hear some distant wails and screams from beyond the wall. Harichimo began to feel his heart racing, it was now or never, go and save the trapped villagers or run back and act like he never received he orders. But he thought to himself and figured he was more scared of an angry Akira sensei then a random spirit. With a running start Harichimo dove through the veil and pulled out the note to find where he was supposed to go.
The assigned location was a huge mansion where many civilians were thought to be locked up and imprisoned by the spirits. He saw a huge black mansion on the horizon which fit the description and he would walk onto the deck. Huge doors with brass handles stood before him and Harichimo would put his hand on it, feeling a cold chill run up his arm. This was the mission to overcome his fear and make sure people who were counting on a rescue would get out.
