Karoshi had been strolling through the streets for the past few days while the Chuunin Exams took place, reading up on Tsunade at the local library, trying out the Ichiraku ramen there. It was so much better than Kumo's ramen! The amount of meat and sauce they put into their ramen was glorious! Karo ended up eating quite a lot... too much for her stomach to cope with actually; she ended up walking around while holding her belly. People asking her when the baby was due. She was fifteen! Urgh, the nerve of some. Anyway, she'd decided that she needed some scenery and when she caught glimpse of a plain with a river running through it? She could say no to that offer! She'd also been meaning to learn a new jutsu that she had read about that most medical ninja knew. She was appalled that she had never heard of it until now and felt the right to learn it...after all, what's a medical ninja without her medical jutsu? Exactly, a pleb.
Anyway, she had dragged her bloated belly and herself to the middle of the plains, standing underneath a slightly bent and dead looking tree, leafs were still hanging onto the branches while some slowly and wistfully floated through the air as the gentle wind propelled them and caressed them in the air.
She let out a long and drowsy yawn, covering her mouth in the process while she balanced herself up on the tree, one hand extended and placed flat on the bark of it. She looked about for a moment, looking for a subject to test her jutsu but nothing was within sight...how could she preform and practice her jutsu on something that wasn't in need of medical attention? She brought her hand to her face, placing it just under her chin while her other hand still propped her up on the tree. She wasn't confident enough to trust her belly not to tip her over like the titanic. She thought for a moment, ideas that would have failed flew through her head until she hit the jackpot. It made her feel like an idiot mind you since it was so simple. The only thing she could do was to practice and try and form the healing ball in the first place; how else would she be able to preform the jutsu? She let out a groan of pain as she realized how stupid she had been. Wanting to perform a jutsu and not even have mastered it yet. How rookie of her.
She pushed herself off the tree, her body slightly tipping to the front where her belly would act like a cushion. I knew it! She thought to herself before she brought her left foot out in front of her to help balance it out. It did but it made her feel like she was walking on wire, a tightrope even; tipping from side to side. Well, if this didn't give her an ego boost then I don't know what will(!) She concentrated for a moment, letting out a small burp in the process; she walked forward, slowly, making sure not to go overboard she walked to the river banks edge and knelt down on the soft grass and dry mud. The water seemed to flow by and the surface reflected the sun's light as if crystals littered the surface layer of water, releasing an azure sort of glow to it. It was beautiful indeed and nothing as simple as this should contain such beauty! She dipped her hands through the ice cold water, letting out a small 'Ooh' as the water cooled down her overheated body. She wasn't used to Konoha's climate and this sent her straight to her happy place! She contemplated about staying in Konoha after the exams but guilt hit her when it meant leaving Skye on his lonesome. She wasn't sure if he had made many friends in Kumo due to him having defected and all but she couldn't ditch someone who has potentially only one friend. She wasn't cruel and the guilt would overtake her too much.
Right! It was time to get to work on this new jutsu. If she didn't, she'd spend the rest of the day soaking in Konoha's beauty like a sponge and lets face it, she's soaked in enough! She pushed herself to her feet, her belly now slightly going down as she smiled with relief; she looked at her hands, clenched them and nodded! She was determined and she was going to do this! She placed her hands out in front of her, palms facing forwards with her fingers straight up. She'd need to concentrate everything that her medical knowledge had taught her from day one of being a medical ninja! The jutsu that she had been reading up on, the one she was going to attempt, was a healing based jutsu, one that was capable of healing minor wounds. It may prove useless in an actual battle but she was sure she could do more, learn more higher ranked healing jutsu when she progressed as a ninja. It was time for her to take one more step in being the best medical ninja there ever was, one like Tsunade. Her idol! She closed her eyes and concentrated hard, concentrated her chakra to her hands to form a small ball, little was she to know that the ball was to be a green ball of chakra. She pressured herself, feeling no change whatsoever. The jutsu wasn't even forming around her hands and no signs of any progression. What was wrong with her? She was a medical genin yes but she was capable of doing this! She'd even created her own jutsu before so she had no excuse not to be able to...She fell to her knees in defeat...never had she been so...unsure of her medical potency. She knew she needed to do this so she rose to her feet once again, this time? She was going to do this! The great Tsunade wouldn't back down like this! No, not ever!
She rose to her feet as she wiped her face, a little sweat beginning to form on her brow. She closed her eyes, determination was all that took over her body now, she concentrated her chakra to her hands and calmed down slightly. A low droning noise was heard a few moments later, intrigued by this noise she opened one eye and saw her hands glowing a strange green yet soothing aura. In shock and excitement, she opened both her eyes and began screaming with joy and excitement! She'd done it! She'd finally managed to learning a healing jutsu! It was about time too! Skye might be needing a healing after the Chuunin Exams. Oh god, Skye! She had completely forgotten to cheer him on! She dismissed the jutsu, still proud of her achievement and bolted for Konoha!
