- Konoha Chapter missions:
- Mission name: We have a problem.
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Clear whatever is blocking - and polluting - the river.
Location: Naka River.
Reward: 100 Ryo.
Mission description: Something is putting copious amounts of debris into the Naka River, not to mention stemming the flow. We can't get out to sea like this! Destroy that damn dam!
Mission details: A beaver colony has settled nearer to the mouth of the river. Wood shall be chucked vigorously at anyone who attempts to attack one of their family or destroy their home. They are also quite fast (C-0 speed), and they can bite up to 1/2 inch into flesh with their powerful jaws. It might also be possible to get them to relocate, but reasoning with beavers is not exactly easy. One of their kind seems to understand human speech, but the elder is sheltered away from violence.
Mission name: What the....Muck?
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Clear out the city sewers.
Location: Konohagakure no Sato (Sewers).
Reward: 100 Ryo.
Mission description: Shushaya Pub, the Hospital, and even the Hot Springs have complained of backed-up plumbing, and very dirty water when they can get it to run. The sewers underground may have something to do with this.
Mission details: You can enter the sewers either by trying to go against the current flowing out in the Village Docks, or by going in any of the above facilities' hatches to the waterways. They are rather cramped, so crawling is the best option for most of those not extremely vertically challenged. Base vermin of all types may assault you for intruding on their territory, so be careful. Garbage, algae from the river, or any number of things could be blocking the grates that allow the water to flow freely. Each time it's unblocked, though, a large influx of water may shoot out of a grate, so caution should be exercised here. Getting out of the sewers is easy....if you have a map.
Mission name: Danger, Danger!
Mission rank: D.
Objective: Adjust the lightning rods around key areas in Konohagakure no Sato.
Location: Konohagakure no Sato (Rooftops).
Reward: 100 Ryo.
Mission description: Some recent storms have upset the positions of various grounding mechanisms around the Leaf. Another supercell is predicted to be coming in soon, and we can't afford any heavy destruction here.
Mission details: Resetting a lightning rod is easy; make sure the grounding wire is connected and tilt and/or bend it so it is at maximum height. At least, that's what they told you. Choose one of two scenarios, or both!
The gap between the roof and the rod has made a great home for a family of avians....you'll have to clear them out somehow if you want to fix the problem here. Be however humane you want to, just get the job done.
-
When they said 'soon', they meant it. The storm rolls in as you're in the middle of the mission! The grounding cables mean that you probably won't suffer any heavy damage, but the very shockwaves of a lightning bolt hitting a rod could send you flying!
Mission name: Everybody out! This is a restricted area!
Mission rank: C.
Objective: Clear the Venom Pit of its infestation.
Location: Rolling Hills.
Reward: 220 Ryo.
Mission description: A huge colony of venomous lizards has infested a series of small caverns in the hills; their ilk have caused hospitalization of over 30 spelunkers in the past month alone. Previous methods of extermination have succeeded temporarily, only to have them resurface. Clear them out by any means necessary, even if it's only for now.
Mission details: First of all, finding one of these caverns is the main objective; of course, drawing the lizards out using extremely harsh lights or noises can easily solve this problem. The critters inject venom both by fangs and spurs on their feet, and so even letting one near you can mean bad news. Thankfully, envenomation only required hospitalization when repeated assaults occurred. However, their superior jumping talent makes for a difficult time in avoiding them; they can clear 3m a hop very easily. Being cut or bitten by a lizard results in a -1 to Speed and Reaction time, which increases by 1 every time you're envenomed again and for every post it stays in the system. Having RT or Speed reduced to 4 tiers below your current level results in unconsciousness, at which point the lizards will retreat further into the cave and you will fail the mission. You should be able to kill at least 40 of the 50 lizards that on average are encountered; that will stem their numbers enough for a success.
Mission name: I'm going to have to ask you....
Mission rank: C.
Objective: A civilian girl has been kidnapped and put for ransom. Rescue her, unscathed.
Location: Village Dock.
Reward: 220/110 ryo.
Mission description: Some Nuke-nin have taken a rather small girl hostage for ransom. Our intel reports that they're hiding her in a small shack on the Docks, but which one is beyond our sources. Take her back by any means you see fit, but her parents will only pay out if she is unharmed.
Mission details: The shack is actually located fairly close to the Village, set in a corner with one side on the dock and the other landlocked, the remaining two on the water; it is only about a 3-meter-square single room. A sensory technique that can detect shapes of people through walls would be able to detect the girl, tied up and gagged. The instructions were to knock .-.. . - / .. - / --. --- (. is soft, - is hard, / is a pause) on the door; you may have to knock on multiple doors to find the place. If you enter by knocking, they will negotiate the Ryo in exchange for her. You can try to trick them by using fake Ryo, manipulate them with Genjutsu, or take back your Ryo (if you have the 500 ransom all by yourself) after getting her to safety. If you attack them during negotiations, or barge in to get the element of surprise on them, they will be at a disadvantage; however, the small space in which you are fighting means that the girl is at a high risk for getting hurt in the scuffle. It is also quite possible that any one of the four Nuke-nin that you are not actively engaging could take the girl and run for it out of the hidden door in the wall; once they get to their escape vessel, their black-market deal is done and you've failed the mission.- Spoiler:
- Name: Ikkio
Age: 29.
General Appearance: She has dirty blonde hair, kept up in a bun. Most of her features are concealed by a tan full-body ninja costume, complete with a face mask. She does have characteristic green eyes.
Personality: Does what she can to get by. She really doesn't want to resort to black-market dealings, but legitimate ninja contractors won't take her due to her past failings.
Motivations: Money, escaping the law (after this).
Fears: Getting caught, being hurt.
Abilities: An avid user of Genjutsu, she will cast the False Surroundings technique on the shack to further hide the door. She can use her Bukijutsu skills to strengthen and manipulate ninja wire, particularly for binding people and restricting areas. C-rank offensive jutsu can disable the jutsu for 2 posts, but using a Ninjutsu on oneself to break her binding can often end with self-inflicted injuries. Her Taijutsu is her weak point.
Name: Udara
Age: 25
General Appearance: A dark-eyed man. None of his other features are very visible, but he seems fairly built.
Personality: A man head-over-heels for Ikkio, he just wants to start a new life, a clean slate....however he can.
Motivations:
Fears:
Abilities: A user of Suiton Ninjutsu and Bojutsu, he has long-range attacks whether in melee or projectile combat. His Suiton: Kamikiri is so refined that he can cut out the floor beneath his opponents, causing them to fall into the sea. His Bojutsu attacks are quite accurate, but his 7' staff tends to leave a bit of collateral damage in tight areas.
Name: Jiraru
Age: 20.
General Appearance: He's all muscle, wearing little but a gi that allows him freedom of movement.
Personality: A bit ruthless, he's not afraid to threaten his own hostage's safety for a retreat. He's also a bit of a coward, but only for the sake of the deal. When in a straight-up fight, he will keep standing until he can't throw punches.
Motivations: He's all business, just wanting to get to the next deal.
Fears: His effort being wasted.
Abilities: Despite his 6'3" stature, he's pretty quick on his feet, with impressive C-1 reflexes; though he can't use any ninja arts, he has a strong will to match his body, and most C-rank or lower attacks can't take him out in one, two, or even three hits.
Other:
Name: Liira
Age: 19.
General Appearance: Petite, with large eyes and long hair.
Personality: She's rather devious, and a little spoiled in her childhood. She doesn't like it when things don't go her way, and might lose her head a bit over it.
Motivations: Getting off this gig, finally.
Fears: Getting dragged along for another ride because they failed.
Abilities: An impressive actress, she is a master at the Transformation Technique. In combination with Ikkio's False Surroundings, she pretends to be the kidnapped girl; her disguise can be seen through with any chakra sensory, or a Perception of C-0. She will use Shunshin no Jutsu to escape back to the shack if she's left for a second without eyes on her. She doesn't have much useful combat experience, but can also use teh Cloak of Invisibility technique to turn invisible to D-2 or lower Perception; she is able to sneak past C-0 or lower if that person is engaged in combat.
Mission name: Show on the Road
Mission rank: C.
Objective: Compromise the operation happening at the outpost.
Location: Hi no Kuni border.
Reward: 220 Ryo.
Mission description: A group of performers has been linked to kidnappings and even assassinations throughout the countries. We aren't suspecting the latter this time, but make sure their latest audience doesn't get captured while they're captivated.
Mission details: The clients (a man, his wife, and son) are not to be let out of your care. During the finale of the show, while the largest and loudest performance is given, two agents will attempt to spirit away the family. It's not difficult to stave them off, as they want to avoid making a scene outside of the stage; the kabuki performance puts anyone who was watching (including the clients) to sleep, giving the perpetrators a perfect opportunity to wrest them from your care.- Spoiler:
- Name: Riooa
Age: 32.
General Appearance: A man with wrinkles beyond his age, his world-weary eyes almost seem sorry for what he's trying to do to you.
Personality: A very free-thinking individual, he puts aside his own opinions to complete the task at hand.
Motivations: His political views coming to majority favor.
Fears: Being apprehended before he can spread his message.
Abilities: A user of Tessenjutsu, he wields steel war-fans in battle just as deadly as a samurai wields katanas. With a wave of both, he can even launch those with C-0 or lower Endurance back up to 4m. His Wind Release jutsu focus on blunt-force damage and manipulation of position, such as Wind Release Stream and Great Breakthrough.
Other: He will retreat rather than face death.
Name: Beira
Age: 35.
General Appearance: A woman that you couldn't tell was more than 25, truly a beauty only enhanced by her makeup.
Personality:
Motivations:
Fears:
Abilities: She uses Onojutsu and Bojutsu in combination with B-rank Katon Ninjutsu to perform acrobatic fire-twirling attacks using Rattan sticks as batons. She can even make them 'boomerang' back to her using wire strings. She will use the Hiding in Ash and Dust technique to make a break for it rather than struggle down to the last breath for her objective.
Mission name: We have a problem.
Mission rank: B.
Objective: Incapacitate the Mother Lizard!
Location: Small South Forest.
Reward: 310 Ryo. Bonus of 140 Ryo if taken on alone.
Mission description: After our repeated attempts at extermination, the mother of these things has finally come out. She's a species of Poison Salamander, and will not retreat. Defeat her to stop one of the many sources of the poison lizards.
Mission details: This beast is, to be frank, enormous. It towers even on all fours to over 9 feet, to say nothing of its 14-foot length and 7-foot tail. Its stomps and whips can instantly break one's bones, and the poison it constantly secretes spreads to 10m of itself in a gaseous cloud. It can also spit globs of this poison up to 50m away, which rapidly expand into a 20m cloud and puddle of poison. making it one of the largest (un)natural predators in the area. It gets taken down by at least 3 techniques of A-rank, 6 of B-rank, or 12 of C-rank due to its sheer durability, but it can easily burrow through the ground at 30m/s to avoid attacks with a clear path. Inhaling the poison gas from any source reduces Perception, Reaction Time, and Speed by 3 tiers per post, and being drenched in the poisonous liquid produces second-degree superficial skin and muscle cell death in the covered areas, reducing Strength, Endurance, and Speed by 2 tiers. If all of one's stats are reduced to 1 full rank (4 tiers) below their normal by the poison, they fall unconscious and fail the mission, at which point the Mother Lizard will flee. (If the mission is taken on by multiple people, she will not flee, and so the unconscious person may be caught in the crossfire if care is not taken. Having stats reduced a second whole rank below normal results in death by envenomation. Medical techniques that extract or neutralize poison can bring a person back up to full fighting capacity again.)
Mission name: Armadas, allying!?
Mission rank: B.
Objective: Incapacitate the crews of the boats near the Village Docks.
Location: Village Docks or Small South Forest.
Reward: 310 Ryo.
Mission description: We didn't have previous knowledge of this! What's going on!? I demand answers! Wha---Oh, fine. Go neutralize the threat, but I want someone to explain to me what's going on!
Mission details: The crews of the three ships blockading the Docks are mostly D-rank ninja, with 5 Chuunin on one ship and 2 Special Jounin on the other to take out. The two B-rank ninja each excel in the use of Onojutsu, one wielding tonfa and the other a kusarigama and manrikigusari. They can use their respective weapons to block ranged projectiles, chakra or no, and they can break or even cut through bones with their weapons. One is a medic and the other is a specialist in barrier ninjutsu, so the ship they are on is difficult to bombard. Both of these ninja have tier-2 stats of their rank.
The C-rank ninja are rather well-trained, having tier-2 stats of their rank on average. Being smart, two strongmen were added to the group, possessing B-0 strength! Their main priority is to restrain trespassers so the others can kill them quickly. One is proficient in Genjutsu, and will disappear from sight while using the commotion of a fight to sneakily kill his targets even with a Kunai. The remaining two are a Wind and Fire Release duo, using the Running Fire technique to cage an opponent in with second-degree-burning flames before igniting it in a flaming hurricane using the Divine Wind technique, causing even third-degree burns.
The mission is failed if all of the Sp. Jounin, and/or more than 2 of the Chuunin are killed; this operation is specifically to incapacitate them for further questioning.
Mission name: Let's just get this over with....
Mission rank: B.
Objective: A shady patron is at the Shushaya pub, lurking for almost a month now. "Deal with" her.
Location: Shushaya Pub.
Reward: 310 Ryo.
Mission description: Someone rather foreboding has been hanging around the Pub, and she's driving away business. Please make her go away, I don't care how you do it. But please, make it subtle, I don't need a bad name hanging over my pub after her grim mug is done doing it.
Mission details: She's, no surprise, an assassin, just waiting for the actual mark to arrive. When asked, she'll decline to talk to you, but she won't actually kill her mark in plain sight. You'll have to keep an eye on her to---wait.
It's closing time and she's gone....but you had surely not let anyone out of the door without looking at them.....
She's escaped using a stealth technique...? Or a genjutsu? Either way, you have to catch her tail using A-2 or higher perception if you don't have a sensory technique. (If you caught her 'signature' earlier using the same technique, you can find her; if not, you can only tail her if it can find residue of some sort.) The assassin terminating her mark does not necessarily result in a failure; however, losing track of her does.- Spoiler:
- Name: Nara Otohime
Age: 34.
General Appearance: A woman with dark hair pulled up into a rather messy ponytail. She's of an average female stature, 5'4" with her body toned from vigorous training.
Personality: She's all about work; on the job, she has few words to spare, usually planning out how she'll get her marks down.
Motivations:
Fears:
Abilities: She can use the Shadow Possession Technique on those without sufficient chakra to resist (namely, civilians). She is a master of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, and uses her clan's Hiden techniques in combination with an S-rank version of the Silhouette technique to infiltrate practically any place imaginable. Her arsenal of Genjutsu includes the Infinite Darkness jutsu, completely shutting off one's sight, and a technique that creates orbs of light that mysteriously draw the eye. They can be detonated as a blinding maneuver, or, as she prefers, to trick opponents into thinking she's extending a shadow with them. She's able to use Doton library techniques to both hide underground and stall her opponents' tailing of her. She naturally has the Shadow Stitching jutsu as her preferred form of offense.
Mission name: Don't make it personal.
Mission rank: A.
Objective: Invade the secret base of a faction group's remnants and report back with information.
Location: The Wilderness.
Reward: 500 Ryo.
Mission description: A group that was thought disbanded has been rumored to be meeting up in a small cabin hideout on an island in a lake, southeast of the Naka River. Gather intelligence on what they're planning this time, but do not engage them or let them know of your presence. Doing so is an immediate failure.
Mission details: This would be easy, but the cabin is actually located 30 meters below ground level, lowered by a Mobile Core technique. Jumping down is swiftly debunked as a bad idea, as razor wire covers nearly the entire opening. Careful inspection (S-0 or higher perception) reveals this, but very few options remain. The wires can be cut, but the means of doing so must be quiet, as most any offensive jutsu makes noise, and in a cavern like this, the echoes would immediately alert the group to your presence.
Navigating underground with the Double Suicide Decapitation or Subterranean Voyage techniques is very possible, but without a sensory technique that works underground, is dangerous; several hollows have been excavated in the surrounding rock, and should a ninja enter one, a sealing formula activates, locking them in until they can escape using two A-rank techniques. Jutsu which have high destructive capability, speed, or even range could still alert the ninja outside the barrier.
Upon reaching the cavern floor, the ninja faces a large amount of noisemakers in the form of wood chimes. Funnily enough, the chimes are far away enough from the cabin that the group won't hear them, but the large amount of puppets imbued with sealing commands will. These puppets have S-rank strength, and in numbers can easily overtake a single ninja; evasion or distraction are the only options here. Thankfully, the puppets don't really do much more than restrain an intruder, but once they are restrained, the normally well-oiled and silent puppets start clacking en masse, alerting the group to escape.
Mission name: Assassinate the Crime Lord.
Mission rank: A.
Objective: See the mission name.
Location: Konohagakure no Sato -> ????
Reward: 500 Ryo.
Mission description: A high-profile crime leader in the underworld of the Land of Fire has visited the Village recently....we don't know what he's up to here, but we don't like it. Take him out before he can spread word of whatever plan he's come up with here.
Mission details: This guy is paranoid, and for good reason. He takes precautions with not only having 4 bodyguards of A-rank that are outfitted in S-rank armor, but a sensory ninja at his side to boot! You can charge the carriage, but be prepared for guerilla assaults by the ninja that are hiding in the foliage to the sides of the path. Each of them knows two of the elements respectively, with an Ice, Lava, and Magnet user among their ranks. They will attempt constantly to box you in using Makyou Hyoushou and Magma Terrorforming, and rob you of any weaponry using Magnet Release.
As much as he fears for his own life, even this guy knows how to follow the code of the ninja. He'll send a courier ahead if at least 3 of his bodyguards are killed, and the messenger ninja moves at 50m/s once dispatched. You can either kill the last bodyguard swiftly or go after the courier and deal with the rest later.
Mission name: The absolute nerve.
Mission rank: A.
Objective: Investigate the other base in the area.
Location: Dense Forest.
Reward: 500 Ryo.
Mission description: There's been rumors of timber collection and construction noise around the area, not to mention a large number of unidentified ninja in the area. Is someone competing with us....no, planning to take us out!?
Mission details: Half the task is just trying to find the place! They seem to have somehow rearranged the patterns of trees, foliage, rocks, even footpaths! One could potentially keep walking in circles forever not knowing they were going in a circle. It takes even the most skilled ninja at least one or two laps around the place to figure out they've been duped. They have even made a dummy settlement, complete with provisions, to fool others out of attacking the real one.
The correct base is actually underground, one kilometer south of the dummy base. Several of the trees have been outfitted with a rope with which to climb up and down, but they are difficult to find without something like Byakugan. Going down there after such to-and-fro work will result in your stats being treated as 2 tiers lower.
If you find the base empty, you are to destroy the place. Do whatever is in your power to bring that underground base to collapse, and obliterate whatever you can't steal for our own. Be careful, since the place might be rigged. (There are traps that launch kunai from both walls in multiple places, triggered by stepping on a floor plate. There is also one inside each exit that unseals a boulder to drop on top of anyone who stands near the rope before exiting instead of just hopping onto it from at least 2m away.) If more than two traps are triggered, you will have been delayed enough for at least two of the ninja to return.
If you find the base occupied, interrogate or kill the inhabitants, whichever you can manage to get done first. There are some skilled ninja amongst them, so do be careful. If you haven't found the traps by now, they will tactically try to maneuver you into them for an advantage. They seem to assault you with abandon, not worrying for the state of the base. Only Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Bukijutsu seem common here, but combined they possess every elemental nature, and will use that to their benefit. The most powerful of the ninja are 2 A-ranks and 3 B-ranks, each with library jutsu of 1 rank higher than themselves and tier-3 stats of their rank. At least 10 C-rank ninja also appear, but seem less inclined to attack someone who's holding their own against their superiors. If they see an opening, they will take it, and their numbers here are their strength.
- Iwagakure Chapter missions:
- D-rank:
Mission name: Cleaning out a Warehouse
Mission rank: D rank
Objective: Go Organize a storage warehouse in the village
Location: Iwagakure no Sato
Reward: 80 ryo
Mission description: The village needs help cleaning up a few storage warehouses and sheds around the village, and with the lack of available manpower they are calling upon some outside help.
Mission details: The mission is relatively simple, go to a shed/warehouse and organize the piles of boxes and knick knacks within. There will be about 100 boxes thrown around the room and they need to be sorted with the heaviest/largest boxes at the bottom and put against the walls in a neat and orderly fashion.
Mission name: Re-pave the Streets
Mission rank: D rank
Objective: To fix potholes and cracks in the roads around the village
Location: Iwagakure no Sato
Reward: 100 ryo
Mission description: Take whatever equipment necessary such as cement, asphault, and any tools needed and go and fix the potholes and cracks in some of the lesser used roads and poorer areas of the village.
Mission details: This mission is straightforward, fill the potholes and line the cracks you find in any of the many side streets of Iwagakure. The village is doing it as a reclamation project for the citizens and is recruiting the use of anyone and everyone willing to contribute their hard labor to patching up the city bit by bit.
Mission name: Delivery Run!
Mission rank: D rank
Objective: To deliver a cart of supplies to the guard at the Armory.
Location: Iwagakure no Sato
Reward: 90 ryo
Mission description: Go and retrieve a cart of supplies, tools, and small weapons and bring it in one piece to the armory guards along with the invoice for it all.
Mission details: The cart will be hand drawn so some physically intensive labor is required but otherwise deliver the roughly 100 lb cart of tools and such to the armory and drop off the invoice along with it. Everything will be checked so if anything is missing or stolen and not accounted for, you will be held responsible and the mission will be failed.
- C rank:
Mission name: Rendezvous and Escort!
Mission rank: C rank
Objective: Meet and escort a team back into the village from the Stone Bridge.
Location: The Stone Bridge
Reward: 150 ryo
Mission description: Go and help escort a team of scientists back to the village from one of their expeditions.
Mission details: A team of scientists went on an archaeology expedition into the mountains a few days ago, while there, the original escort they teamed up with was called away. It's your job to rendezvous with them and bring them back to the village safely. On the way back into the village you'll be stopped by two bandits trying to get you to pay a toll to use the road. If you don't pay them they'll try to steal some of the fossils and minerals the team has, don't let that happen. The bandits themselves are weak, no better than normal civilians and no inherit ninja ability, but they will get rough if need be and losing any artifacts either by breaking them or being stolen will result in a failure of the mission.
Mission name: Guard Duty
Mission rank: C rank
Objective: To search and monitor some surrounding lands outside the village for any threats, intruders, or criminals.
Location: The Wild West
Reward: 220 ryo
Mission description: Go out and keep an eye out while patrolling the land known as the Wild West and report in anything suspicious you might find to the village.
Mission details: This mission is straightforward, go out and patrol. Nothing explicit will happen while on the mission but the land itself is full of bandits and animals and other things that may go bump in the night so tread carefully. When all is said and done report your findings if any to the village to complete the mission.
Mission name: Supporting allies
Mission rank: C rank
Objective: Go to a nearby town and assist them with their bandit problem.
Location: Tsuchi no Kuni Border
Reward: 200 ryo
Mission description: A call for help was sent from a town near the outskirts of the country. A valuable ally for their abilities in mining the nearby mountains and forging usable metals, they have been troubled by bandits and raiders as of late. Stealing their supplies to build their own weapons and armaments and to fund their rise to power in the area, the village is hiring out the mercenary army to send help.
Mission details: When arriving in the town it will seem empty as most people avoid being out unnecessarily. Meet up with a local contact who called for aid and hear him out, ten bandits will then show up to the town with all E-3 rank stats and C rank bukijutsu (half of them with katanas and the other half with Axes). It is recommended to take a partner or team to deal with the problem, but the choice is up to you.
- B rank:
Mission name: Inflitration
Mission rank: B rank
Objective: Sneak into a nearby town and spy on a potential bandit/rogue leader that is hiding out there.
Location: Valley of Mountains
Reward: 300 ryo
Mission description: A known and dangerous bandit leader is hiding out in a small town somewhere in the valley of the mountains. Go to the town, infiltrate it, and identify if the bandit leader is there, and find out what he is up to and report back to the village.
Mission details: The rogue will be staying in an inn in the heart of the town, it will be your job to sneak in and find out what he is up to and what his next move is. Covertly or confronting him, you'll find out that his next move will be to relocate closer to the village to build a stronger base of operations. If you're caught, he will outclass you completely but instead, will send his lackeys to chase after you and bring you to him. The three minions all have C-0 stats and can use up to B rank Doton and ninjutsu techniques from the library as well as having C rank taijutsu. The leader himself:
Name: Roku Mitsudo
Age: 31
General Appearance: A large and rugged man with a tan complexion and black hair. He is fairly loud but also articulate but also wears clothing that would suggest he isn't rich (ie. beaten up and slightly tattered).
Personality: He prides himself on his strength and speed and is a bit of an ideologue. Beyond that he is a big drinker and enjoys the nightlife and party scene just as much, if not more so than anyone else.
Motivations: He hopes to become rich and powerful and hopes to build his organization into one capable of extorting even the great villages one day.
Fears: Roku fears his own mortality and also fears living in poverty. His goal is to live a long and lavish life, and to avoid the struggles that the first half of his life were filled with.
Abilities: Roku is a fairly powerful man with B-3 strength and B-2 speed (all other stats B-0). He is capable of using B rank Taijutsu and Bukijutsu and carries a B rank War Hammer with him, despite his physical abilities he is less than adequate at ninjutsu and can only use up to C rank Doton/Suiton/Ninjutsu library techs.
Other: N/A
Mission name: Destroy a Dam
Mission rank: B rank
Objective: Seek out and destroy a dam that is backing water up at a severe rate and flooding the surrounding farmland.
Location: Gisei Lake
Reward: 280 ryo
Mission description: Take the pouch of explosive tags and destroy a dam up stream of Gisei Lake. Due to severe rainfall and more to come, the surrounding areas are being flooded at an extreme rate and they poise to wreak havoc on the farmland. If done properly, the water will flow back downstream into the lake and raise it's level but at no cost to surrounding territory and saving the rest of the farmland.
Mission details: On the mission you'll be given a surplus of 5 explosive tags to go out and destroy the foundational supports of the dam, causing it to collapse in on itself and let the water flow back into the lake. Outside the inherit danger of destroying the dam itself, some people are inherently against destroying the dam due to a fear of the lake growing too large. If you are seen or spotted trying to blow it, the locals will gather around and do everything they can to prevent you from destroying it. You must not let them get hurt or get in the way, best to avoid them if at all possible.
Mission name: Mail Men
Mission rank: B rank
Objective: Receive and deliver a correspondence from the Daimyo's office to the village administration building.
Location: Iwagakure no Sato
Reward: 310 ryo
Mission description: Go to the Daimyo's office and receive a sealed scroll with a letter and classified information on it and deliver it to the Administration building as quickly as possible and securely as possible.
Mission details: When you leave the Daimyo's palace you will be tailed by two dissidents from his ranks. They will try to overtake you (kill you if they have to) and take the correspondence in order to drive relations between the Daimyo and village apart. They each have C-3 stats and can use B rank Kenjutsu (both have katanas) and they tend to attack in tandem where their timing is impeccable. If you are able to split them up then you will have a much easier time, as they both have no skill at fighting one on one.
- A rank:
Mission name: Search and Destroy
Mission rank: A rank
Objective: To seek out an armory being used by an insurgent group and destroy it, along with anyone else on the premises.
Location: Underground Caves
Reward: 500 ryo
Mission description: An armory and hideout of a notorious insurgent group was found within the underground caves. Go out and destroy it along with anyone on the premises.
Mission details: The mission can be approached from any angle, there will be explosives on site you can use to destroy their own supplies, or using your own paper bombs will work just as well. The facility will be heavily guarded with 10 guards patrolling the perimeter of the cave entrance with all C-3 stats and C rank bukijutsu and katans. Furthermore, there are 5 specialized guards with B-3 perception (all other stats B-0) and B rank kyujutsu and B rank short bows in key points around the area, and they will keep hawk like eyes out for anyone and everyone. Should you be caught, the enemy will blow a distinct whistle and it will be a matter of time before they all converge on your point and everything goes into high alert. Kill them all and destroy everything through any means you find necessary.
Mission name: Religious Zealots
Mission rank: A rank
Objective: Infiltrate a new church of Zealots that is growing and spreading a message of hate against the village.
Location: Iwagakure no Sato
Reward: 400 ryo
Mission description: A new church has popped up with some very extreme members with heavy intentions against the village and it's hierarchy. They are threatening the village and there is worry that they may take things to the next step. The village would like one of the mercenaries to go in and infiltrate so they can distance themselves from it (as an Iwa ninja would never be allowed in) and find out what exactly it is that they are saying and potentially planning.
Mission details: Outsourcing this kind of work, infiltrate and talk to the priest in 'charge' to find out what they truly believe. And potentially, if they are planning anything dangerous or threatening within the village or outside of it. Be warned, if the church members find out that you are working for the village it will send them into a frenzy and will drive tensions between the village and the chruch apart, not to mention hundreds of ordinary citizens going out of their way to kill you. In which case you are not allowed to kill them under any circumstances, otherwise your goal will be to discover a bit more about a brewing plot to start riots within the village and upset the established order in favor of a pro-anarchy government that they advocate.
Mission name: Kill the Zealot Priest
Mission rank: A rank
Objective: After intel was gathered, a plot was discovered and the Zealot Priest needs to be removed from his spot in the hierarchy.
Location: Iwagakure no Sato
Reward: 500 ryo
Mission description: After discovering their plot, go in and discreetly do away with the priest or whomever is in charge of their planning.
Mission details: The village wants to further distance itself from this type of action and therefore, the killing of a soon to be terrorist is left to the mercenaries. Go to a meeting between a few key leaders of the church and remove them as discreetly as you can. Your target is only the head priest, but the more removed from power, the less that will be able to step up and take over his place. Given two vials of a potent poison, you can choose to poison him and let the sickness take him to make it look natural or do away with him in your own manner, just make sure it can't be traced and looks natural! Or else the assassination will be considered a failure.
