The two fastest forces of nature: wind and lightning. They scream in rage, smashing the earth with all their might, a divine tantrum. The sky is filled with such chaos at times, the powers of nature were truly frightning. All through history since the creation of ninjutsu, shinobi have been perfecting their control over these raw natural powers. Could they ever be completely mastered, ever to be completely bent at the will of a single person? Many thought the answer to that question was no. The world still generated more than humans could ever achieve, even if they were to cooperate. The puny creatures that dared to scuttle at the feet of the sky gods would have to continue to live in fear and respect.

Fukai's mind wandered as he crept up to the first camp. It was close to midnight and his mission was to obliterate these bandit camps out here in the wilderness of stone country. They were reported to be weak, not ninjas themselves. "Like starving dogs" Fukai thought, they huddled in packs for shared strength and security. Outlaws and outcasts, the genin knew that most of the people that were to be found in these groups were randoms who did not fit into society, they had some sort of defect that put a bump in their shape, disallowing them to be able to fit into the jigsaw of a larger community. But he was here to put them down. They were causing trouble for the clients of Iwakagure and if his village had decreed it, then the young man would jump at the task. Fukai was not adverse to killing but he greatly disliked sensless, unreasonable actions. This job was close to the line of his own morals, requiring a little internal justification to be able to start.

He sneaked up to the first tent. It was about 10 metres across, a large dwelling. It looked like there were about seven people in there, their silhouettes being projected onto the tent canvas by the flickering lamp light. Roars of laughter grew and wained, the smell of alcohol strong in the dusty air. Fukai chanelled chakra into the blood red scarf that hung around his neck and into the old staff in his right hand. He focussed, trying to tame the wild energy of lightning. A raiton chakra tip formed on both ends of the weapon, static electricity running up and down it's length. Before anyone would notice, he extended his scarf out with the animation technique, smacking the top of the pole supporting the tent. The canvas toppled down onto the men inside.

Mayhem ensued. Surprised squarks from the people as they struggled to figure out what was going on. Fukai leapt onto the downed sheet, and strode over to the closest sqirming body. After taking a few seconds to deduce which end the head was on, the body was proptly stabbed in the neck, smashing the wind pipe and silencing the bandit. There was a bandit who had almost made it to the edge of the tent and was crawling out. As he made it out, he looked up to see a glowing yellow tip just above his face. The tip sprang towards him, impaling the bandit in the eye. The man screamed in agony and sunk to the ground as the staff pierced his brain. The other five started responded to the scream with their own, understanding now that they were under attack. "Don't struggle too much, your suffering will end soon" The genin thought.

Two woman escaped from the canvas sheets to find an armed man there infront of them. The purple eyed man wrapped his extended scarf around the two women, disabling them from drawing their weapons. He rushed at them, slicing into each jugular and dropping them without a sweat. The remaining three bandits had now escaped and had readied themselves, rickety swords drawn. He could see that the men were no more than common place thugs, they had no skill with weapons in the slightest and their stances had huge blaring holes. One of them whispered "Maybe we should just make a run for it." Another answered "No, it's three on one, he just caught us by surprise. You will pay for the blood you have spilled today." The man, unpolished in every sense, threatened Fukai and then charged at him. Not bothering to answer, the genin matched the man's steps, meeting him in the middle. Suddenly, Fukai broke the pattern of steps, going low and extending his sharply tipped staff to full range like a lance. The man hesitated for a brief second and that was it. Fukai flicked the man's sword to the side out of his weak grip and impaled his heart with raiton. The hiss of burning flesh caused a flinch among the remaining two, enforcing their uncertainty about this fight. The large numbers and natural brawn of the bandits made the task of ganking travellers and merchants an easy task. But when an organised attack was made with skill and precise excecution, the group crumbled easily. The remaining two raised their swords in an attempt to ward off their approaching demise. It wouldn't have made a difference if they were armless, the skilled bojutsu user cleaved through them with ease.

This was not the only camp, he would have to hurry, it looked like the other nearby tent had noticed. Time was ticking, he ran over, keeping to the shadows. Approaching from the opposite side to where the first camp was, wrapping the enhanced scarf around the mouths of the two closest thugs and dragging them into the darkness was all too easy. Death met them in that darkness and Fukai would leap out of the shadows and smack the closest bandit in the back of the head with a strike, knocking him unconscious. There were six bandits left, the turned to face the threat with alarm. The phantom eyed man stared them down, waiting for their first reaction. That night, Fukai would return to Iwa after destroying the bandit camps completely. As fast as wind and lightning.
