Something was going to happen soon. Something he had not seen coming and was poorly ready for. He could feel it in the pit of his stomach from all the clues and bits of information he had uncovered while in Suna it seemed like he had a group following him and planning to kill him and possibly his family. It was bothersome and he wasn’t entirely sure how to act to this news. Sure he had been in a war and had his life threatened more times than he could possibly imagine but this was something new entirely. He looked back at the abandoned factory and looked south knowing he had a lot of ground to cover to reach Kiri again and he also had another person to worry about as well. Hopefully the group following him would not attempt anything but he knew better. He was at this point expecting it the problem he had ahead of him now was, stay in Suna and risk them rallying their forces or leave now while there was a smaller amount to worry about. Seeing as he had no information to tell him who was after him, how many, or how many were actively following him he decided to roll the disk and risk moving now hoping he could power though one or two at the most. If nothing this could potentially save Suna from an unknown force as well. He had decided to leave at night so he did not have to worry about the heat of the sun as well as the enemy forces. He was hoping to cross the dunes of the sand village before sun rose again and take shelter in the trees on the way back. He just hoped he was making the right decision.
He checked his gear again and looked around for his student wondering when she would show up. He had told her the time to leave and it was quickly approaching. He still worse hiss black attire hoping to blend in at least a little with the night. He sat there calming himself down and sensing the area around him making sure that there was nobody spying or approaching them within the factory. From what he could tell the coast would be clear. Still though something else didn’t feel right. The man dead out in the dunes. How long had he been out there? He never checked so the information he gathered could have been days old. He swore to himself at his sloppiness. That was the worst case scenario; best case scenario was that they would be moving parallel to one another. Himself slipping away as the enemy approached. He focused on his breathing having never felt this unsure about something before. Was he nervous? He had fought Seven Bells alone long enough for the other Swordsman to escape, but he had almost died I the process. Back then fighting meant more though; it meant the safety of his village and the safety of his lover. Now though when it was a focused effort onto him he had no idea what to feel. Especially with an enemy potentially stronger than him, and more than one. It was times like this he really missed her even though she had betrayed him. She would at least know what to say to keep him focused and on track. After all he felt like his life was meaningless that he was just a weapon a pawn on the chessboard. Over the year since the war he had been told differently but he had yet to see so himself. He exhaled slowly wondering where his student was.
