Gathering the Books of the Elements C-Rank:

A small little boy was laying asleep on his bed, his foot resting inside the mouth of an equally sleepy boy who had to settle for the edge of the bed as the small boy took up nearly the entire bed for himself. Things were peaceful, but a soft knock on the door followed by a second knock woke up the boy as he woke up kicking the poor defenseless Sozo in the face as he jumped up barefeet in his pajamas and ran towards the door to answer it. He opened slowly as he received a letter that was a notice for a mission, they need to collect the book on the element of Raiton which had been taken by a genin trying to rise up in the ranks by mastering as many jutsu as possible. The jutsu may be dangerous and it was clear that they would need to hurry as the boy apparently was heading for the border to sell the information. It might seem strange that the country of wind would have books on lightning, but every village these days had knowledge of all the elements.

He then tossed the note one side and ran over to wake up Sozo who may have already been woken up by the kick, or knocked out as the boy would jump on top of Sozo and shout.

"Sozo... wake"

As he started getting excited for the mission as his wings spread a bit before tucking themselves neatly against his back.

When or if Sozo asked him what was up he would just pull out his note card with the word 'MISSION' written in big letters on it. They had a fun sleep over but it was time to get back to shinobi business as was the way of the world.

The silver hair boy was sleeping on the edge of the small bed. He had a foot in his mouth thanks to the green haired owner of the house. Sozo was fast a sleep and the thought of anything waking him was foolish. He was tired and didn't want to wake up and just wanted to sleep this was noticeable when he didn't budge a inch from his sleeping position. When there was a first knock on the door followed by another but Noel kicked him in the face which made him fall out of bed. As he was to close to the edge there was a loud thud when Sozo hit the floor. Sozo sleeply got back up and fell back on the center of the bed rubbing his now some what sore face. He threw the covers over his head in a poor attempt to drown out everything outside of his sleep.

But once again Noel had to ruin the poor silver haired boys sleep he jumped on top of Sozo telling him to wake up. Sozo really wanted to grab the pillow that his head was laying on and hit Noel with it. But he settled for just uncovering his head and looked at Noel. Sozo's eyes only half open as he let out a long and powerful yawn. "What is it Noel?"

Noel placed a note with the word mission written in big letters. The point of the big letters worked as it drew Sozo's attention to it or what little attention Sozo had at the moment. Sozo sat up and scratched the back of his head. His hair was a mess it was all over the place clearly a sign that he just woke up. To be honest Sozo didn't feel like doing a mission or anything he just wanted to sleep. But he knew that the green haired boy was going to take Sozo with him. So Sozo just sleeply asked "Whats the mission Noel?"

The little green haired boy shook his head as his fringe went over the front of his forehead as he was in a somewhat better mood than yesterday. He then let Sozo read the note which detailed how a genin had ran off with the book and was last seen heading for the border. With not much other info to go on they had to search for and find the genin and retrieve the book. It was then after a moment that the boy got excited and said to Sozo.


"Play... find... first..."

Which was his way of saying let us play a game where we race to see who can find the genin with the book first. He looked to Sozo as he was hoping that he would agree. If Sozo said yes, the boy would dash out of the door in his pajamas and spread his wings taking flight towards the border, which would leave him with a small head start on the poor Sozo, however Sozo could always take the option of tricking the boy in order to go first. Either way the mission was to get the book not play who can find the genin first. Regardless of how they got it done, the mission was important and perhaps only Sozo understood how serious a mission truly was.

Sozo rubbed his eyes lazily with his left hand as he took the note from Noel. It was to early in the morning for Sozo to do a mission. But he figured there was not point in trying to fight it the soon they could finish this. The sooner Sozo could go back to sleep again. Sozo read the note containing the mission details. So a genin is going to try to sell a book containing lightning style jutsu. Sozo finished reading the note when Noel asked to play a game. Sozo laughed in his head at Noel making the mission into a game. Sozo scratched his head as his eyes closed as he let out a big yawn. "I guess sure why not." Sozo said sleepishly as he wasn't fully awake still. But Noel was in a different mood than Sozo. As he spread his wings and made a small gust sending a minor breeze chilling Sozo.

Sozo gave out a large sigh as Noel left the house in his pajamas again. Sozo could leave the place just in his underware. So he ran down into the basement and put on his old cloths from the other day. Sozo ran upstairs and out the door shutting it but keeping it unlocked since he had no key. Sozo looked up in the sky hoping to find Noel up in the sky. But he had no luck as some buildings where blocking his view. Till Sozo ran to the roof top using it for a better view point. Sozo looked all around to find Noel. Sozo would be lying if he said he wasnt mad at Noel for just flying off. Now finding Noel was part of the mission since Sozo didn't know what the guy looked like or what the book looked like. Sozo ran on the roof tops looking around for Noel. Sozo then thought about getting a leash for Noel but deep down he hoped that Noel would be ok in case the person turned out to be dangerous.

He was flying through the air looking back every now and then at Sozo, when he felt it was time to try out his new jutsu when he spotted someone carrying a book and running. It did not make sense to be running with a book to the border of Suna so this had to be his target. As he realized the genin was moving at a similar speed, he could not afford to waste any time as he smiled feeling like he had won. Being somewhat reckless he revealed his weapon.

The blades unfolded as he swung and tossed his windmill shuriken as it headed towards the target who slowed down to jump with a back flip dodging it as the boy caught up flying over the genin who fired a lightning jutsu straight into the air striking Noel who was shocked and left unable to fly as he crashed into the ground bouncing on it once before rolling on his side a bit before stopping as he coughed up a bit of blood. The genin then looked down at him as he drew a sword out and was going to stab Noel who had gotten careless. Was this going to be the end of the small little boy or would Sozo come to his rescue. He began getting really upset and stubborn as he did not want to wait for Sozo as the boy stabbed towards him he countered by rolling his body as the sword stabbed into his wing as he then launched a kick with his left leg knocking the guy back as he got a better look as the guy fell.

This guy was a boy roughly his age, when he looked carefully he again he realized it was one of the kids from his group as he glared. The boy just grinned back and said as he rubbed his cheek, "You can not beat me, Noel".

Sozo was running around on the roof tops looking for Noel instead of the man for the mission. This wasn't what Sozo wanted to wake up to so early in the morning. Sozo was let out a yawn which he covered up with his left hand. He looked down the side of the building. Hoping to find a green haired kid with wings. I mean how hard can that be Sozo thought to himself as he was still half way asleep. If he found Noel Sozo thought about jumping on his back. But decided against it since Noel looked really frail and that might really hurt him. But first he would have to find Noel in the village. Sozo was moving diagonally through the village. Till out of the corner of his eye he saw what he was looking for. A boy with wings and green hair with green pajamas. Sozo quickly switched his direction to follow Noel. Sozo was ten meters behind Noel. Noel looked back at Sozo making it known that he knew Sozo was behind him.

Sozo let out a sigh well so much for that plan he thought sadly. Noel started to move as he unfolded his demon wind shurken. Sozo looked down and saw the boy running while holding something. Sozo looked closer and saw that it was a book. He then looked back and watched as Noel threw his shurken at the man only to have it be foiled by the genin doing a backflip and countering with a lightning jutsu. The jutsu brought Noel down the sight made Sozo run faster. In attempt to help Noel out in his fight. Sozo started running down the wall behind the genin fighting with Noel. The Genin was knocked back and on the ground. Sozo was a meter behind him when the genin started talking to Noel. It seemed like Noel and the genin knew each other from the past or something.

Sozo while he was running had a few things running through his mind. One of them was how to handle the genin. Sozo noticed a sword in one of his hands. Sozo came up with the idea that he would kick him in the head while he was down. The Genin must have heard Sozo's footsteps as he turned around just in time to take a shine to the face. Only to end up hitting a trash can making sound resonate from inside. The man with the book replaced with a trashcan that was five meters away. Sozo reacted to the noise of feet running on patted down sand. Sozo responded by pulling his Kunai for his left hand cargo pocket. Sparks flew as the to blades clash Sozo kicked the genin in the gut. Making the genin stumble a meter backwards. Sozo took the opening to user the water trumpet jutsu. Making the Genin slam into the wall of a building. Sozo walked over to the and grabbed the Genin by the leg. The Genin was knocked out but Sozo didn't know for how long. He didn't want to get stuck carrying another person back to the guard out post. So he decided to tie the guys hands and legs together. So he couldn't run away before the guards came and got him. He picked up he book of lightning jutsu it was bit wet the water trumpet.

Sozo walked over to Noel and tossed it to him. "Well it got a bit wet. Hope I didn't rune it." Sozo said as he waved to Noel as he jumped up onto the rooftops heading back to his apartment.

The small little boy looked on as he watched Sozo appear and kick the boy directly in the face, as he thought to himself that Sozo was like the hero in a book he once read. The hero always arrived late and perhaps this was his destiny, but then he noticed trash flying through the air as he felt a strange warm feeling inside, as if he was being tickled by the air.

After a brief exchange and the use of the water trumpet jutsu, Noel got the book as he opened it and was able to make out a small passage.

'Lightning jutsu has a weakness towards wind jutsu, so take care and use these jutsu to break the earth apart'

He closed the book and wondered why Sozo left so quickly as he walked over to the genin who got up and was giggling and started forming hand seals only for him to take his weapon he picked up and unleash a giant air slash that cut up and took out the genin who was now injured as he kicked the genin and dragged him by the rope as he carried the book to hand in both for his ryo needs.
