Birds chirped and the sun was out! Beautiful day it was indeed. The nonrelentless rays from the sunlight were fantastic, warm and embracing. Soft amounts of dew fall from the grass outside as they're pelted by the sun's rays. Rumbles are heard within Shin'Ichi's house and loud stomps of feet were heard. Yelling above all else was present as well, as if something had happened. Casual drifts of air pass through the air as Shin'Ichi exits his house at a hurried pace. Shouts and screams could be heard from his house, rumbles as he sprinted away excitedly. An old man appeared at the door, raising his fist as the boy ran off. "Get back here, Shin'Ichi! You have to finish your CHORES!'' Though Shin heard the calls from his grandfather, it didn't seem like he really paid any mind to them. His face was filled with determination and happiness, he knew he had to ditch his chores. There was a special reason, a special NEED. He simply continued on with his sprint and aimed for the streets of Konohagakure to get far from his house.Within time, he rushed passed the fence which guarded his home from the streets of the village and disappeared behind the planks. The old man continued to holler for him as he ran into the street, but eventually the noise was lost in distance. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead as he hurried to his destination. A smile was plastered on the boy's face. It was finally time for the young genin to meet with his friend!

The streets of Konoha were particularly busy on this day. Horses pulling their usual luggage with people commanding them in direction. Shin'Ichi continued to sprint inbetween breaths, determined to get to his location quickly. Possibly before his friend. He would much rather get there first than last, either way. First is clearly better. Step after step he continued to push himself with his legs and arms. Casually he avoided the incoming horses and people as he ran through and around corners of the streets. "I gotta... get to the... park," he spoke between breaths as he ran, still avoiding people on his way to his location. This day, he donned his training uniform. A loose, black shirt with the blotch of white on the back which possessed his clan's symbol upon it. As well as this, he donned thick black pants with blue sneakers. His Konoha headband was wrapped tightly around his forehead, blue fabric swiftly being guided by the wind of the dash he was performing. Eventually the youngster decided to hop onto a nearby building and push off of it for a boost of speed, and it surely helped! Eventually the young boy would come to a turn off which led him straight to the park, and of course, he took it and saw the park entrance. He rushed towards it with high hopes of arriving first. His footsteps subtly became slower, however. He wasn't dumb, he wanted to save energy. Being decently new out of the academy, he knew that he couldn't simply dash from his house to the park and expect to be in top condition to fight. This was more than likely going to be his cool down jog now. His body was all stretched out from the run, all loosey goosey you could say. Though there was some burning in his legs, he could easily will through it. It wouldn't last forever, and he was used to it by now. Running was nothing new to him and it truly wasn't anything hard for him either.

Branches broke as the young boy rushed through the woodland of the park. Animals flustered as he dashed by, but he slowed it down to a light jog. He wanted to save the rest of his energy, and after that run he was surely warmed up for a spar if his friend was up for it. The two met a week ago, both on the street with their guardians. They had fun and had some laughs, and both were shinobi. They arranged this meeting that day, thus why he is determined to get there first. Maybe he can be the little show off he was and get there before her! Within minutes, Shin finally reached the clearing he was aiming for. It was pristine, containing a lake and nicely cut grass. Birds chirped through the area as he entered, and the silhouette of trees across the lake were clearly visible. Numerous amounts of sweat trickled from the boy's forehead as he took deep breaths. He aimed to reach the lake in slow steps. Cupping his hands, the youngster would place his face near the body of water and splash some water onto his face. Taking deep breaths he began to relax near the lake, awaiting for his friend to arrive.

A sigh. A simple friction of air, a collision of empty gas that passes by like a feather's utter-- no noise, no notice, no meaning. It brought a flicker of life into the empty hollows of the room, a room so frigid the walls don the veil of seclusion. The nooks and corners were littered by the glimmer of cobweb, a pack of critters could zoom by unnoticed. But the room wasn't forsaken, its' single inhabitant was carrying the aura of invisibility. 'Tick... Tock.' Hinari's sights darted across the walls and hovered over the clock, narrowing in their scrutiny. 'Tick..' A fingertip tapped along the surface of a dusty desk, the user's impatience growing as the moments slithered by. '...Tock.' The silence was deafening, the girl's heartbeat seeming to echo across the panels in an infuriating rhythm. 'Tick...'
"--ENOUGH!"

And there she was, screaming in the midst of invisible watchers, her chest heaving with the burden of anxiety and apprehension. Hinari dug her digits into the mess atop her crown, dragging their tips at her scalp in pure agony. The ravings of the hushed tranquility was enough to drive her nerves to a dead end, enough to drive a roar towards the colorless walls. She tossed a fleeting glimpse at the clock's arrows, knotted her newly-acquired headband around her left bicep, and off she went with a fresh gum tossed into her mouth.

~~

Konohagakure was buzzing, its' vibrant environs was breathing life into the irate girl. What came out of the house in a hectic, heavy storm, was soothed by the society like a fabric's crease smoothing under a heater's steel-made fold.
Then came a smiling merchant; "Excuse me, would you like to buy a--"
"Shut up."
And after that a little boy; "Miss, miss! Can you help me find the ball I lost yest--"
"No, go away."
It seemed that all manners had dissipated as well. A complete change in character, and a rude one at that. If she had nothing better to take part in - rather than sit upon her bed and curse at the dense silence - she wouldn't even be heading towards this silly meeting. She had no will nor enthusiasm and it showed; Clad in the plainest of clothes, a pair of tights and an azure hued T-shirt, she didn't even bother combing through her hair in preparation. The long, silk-like hair dangled across her back with each footfall, a few disobedient strands sticking through her straightened bangs. She looked a complete mess and it didn't seem she cared; not even bothered to throw a look at the beaming elderly on the streets. A sigh escaped pressed lips, her sandal-clad feet skidding to an abrupt cease of motion.
Hinari had absolutely no idea of the meeting's whereabouts.
Another sigh.
"..Excuse me, do you happen to know where's the park?"
Though crude most times the girl lacked no respect in her approach towards a booth, filled with juicy apples and pears and more fruits of the like. Their scent was appetizing and their sight was all the more tempting, albeit she stood her ground, the girl was already late by ten minutes. "Ahh, girlie! The park is right ova' that corner ove' there. Turn righ' after ya' pass tha' fishy store." The old man replied with a thick accent of sorts that even Hinari couldn't help but question its' roots. But she had things of higher importance-- striding away after a grateful nod and an awkward skip in her step.

~~

And then, at last, she reached that goddamn park. Those simple directions drove her in loops for an additional ten minutes, she was turning far too late. She made a quick swipe of her palm against the borders of each temple; erasing the droplets of sweat in their path. Her lips were parted in pants, for she spent the rest of the way running in search for the green hued terrain. Hinari was a new resident in Konoha, driven to visit by a personal mission of sorts.. And her sense of direction wasn't complimenting her first impression. Thankfully, the boy she was meeting with wasn't far too gone inside the park's unknown depths, spotting him sitting by a lake's stunning margins.
"Hey.." She voiced awkward vocals, interrupted by a brief clearing of her throat. "Shin'Ichi, right? My name is-- Er, you know what my name is. Hi. Hinari. That's my name."
The humiliating introduction was a given. In the midst of fumbling hands and the loud chewing of her gum, she approached the lake in confident strides, her posture proving a compensation for her obvious lack of social skills. Perhaps this will be earning her the very first person with the will of becoming a possible friend.
..But then the enclosed discomfort eventually grew into rage.
"I know I'm late, but don't you say a word about that. That damn geezer was saying this stupid fucking park was right around the corner, and then it turned out that it was WAY over there!"
Her words were empathized by the pointing of her digits,
"So don't you dare question me! You understand, Shin'Ichi?!"

Calmness overcame the area. Splashes of water began to collapse from Shin's toned countenance. The forehead protector stood firm on his forehead, getting a little bathing of it's own from the water of the lake. The sun's rays were still relentless with the life of nature. The water was warm, a nice temperature. The young genin's hands slid across his face to stop the beads of water in their tracks. A soft sigh was released before he heard a crack in the forest. It was more than likely a stick, but all he could really think about was meeting her here. A cheesy smile was plastered on his face as he turned towards the forest, expecting to see her come through it. Though, to no avail, it wasn't her. Rather, it was a dear. His smile didn't fade, rather it widened. " Hehe... I beat her here! I bet she thought she was gonna be here first... Nope!" Shin let out a mischievous snicker before turning back to the water, looking down at himself. It's only been a year out of the academy and he's learned so much physically and spiritually, but he hasn't really lost the heart for living as a child. He can look back from when he was an academy student, but nothing really has changed. Just his power. And even now, he's more confident that he wants to learn even more, just as a child might. His thirst for being the best can sometimes be overwhelming, but he and his family is much more than used to it. Usually he has sudden urges to just train and train, but he's learned to control his urges and wait until the time is right. Right now, he was holding himself back from training alone. He wanted to wait for Hinari. He truly is hyperactive, after all.

It's been minutes of fighting himself from training and he's finally calmed himself down. He plopped backwards onto his back to stare up at the sky as he awaited the appearance of his friend. However, it's minutes passed the time she should have been there. Where was she?! Did she forget about the whole meet-up? Or perhaps... did she just not want to come? Shin executed a frown before pulling himself back up to sit up on his bottom. His face was turned towards the azure waters as he was now going deep into thought on the possible outcomes of this.

A.) She wasn't going because she didn't want to.
B.) She wasn't going because she forgot.
C.) She wasn't going because she hates him.

Not once did it occur to the naive boy that she was new in town so she really didn't know where to go. He was just a child after all. They tend to think the worst of things if anything. He didn't plan on giving up hope, however. It was only ten minutes after she was supposed to be there, she would be there soon, right? Who knew at this point. His mindset was just don't lose hope, at this point. His frown transformed into an upset look before he closed his eyes and crossed his arms. He formulated a plan to just sit there like that until she arrived, looking stern if you were to catch him in your visage from behind. Though, this would somewhat turn bad as the young genin would begin to doze off into a slumber. It wasn't intentional, but he did just run across almost the entire village to reach the area first. Somewhat of a payback if and when the girl showed up.

Voices rung through the air hazily. They began to dig deeper into the boy's skull from quiet to natural level. "--I'm late, but don't you say a word about that. That damn geezer was saying this stupid fucking park was right around the corner, and then it turned out that it was WAY over there!" Shin was confused. His eyes drearily opened, residue breaking apart from his eyelids as they softly opened. He was groggy, not really knowing what happened at first, not a single clue. Then the girl behind him continued to speak. "So don't you dare question me! You understand, Shin'Ichi?!" The boy heard his name and released a rather monstrous yawn. Albeit of this, he had yet to turn his head to a more than likely pissed girl named Hinari. Literal seconds after this, his head slowly rotated to the side so that his eyes caught visage of the girl who had just entered the area. It was clear that he was just sleeping, but he didn't realize how rude it really was. Actually, rather, he had completely forgotten why she was there and why he was there for a moment, lost of why she didn't look to happy either. To his surprise, the sun hasn't really moved from his last time seeing it, meaning that she was late, but not as late as he expected her to be. Everything she said previously was hazy, so he couldn't really tell which one of his decisions was correct about her. In reality, none of them were correct, but in his mind it had to be one of them. He simply shook his head slightly and uttered a single sound, more than likely the most annoying sound a girl could hear from a guy after talking to them.

"Eh?..."

Hinari simply stood there. Twitching, scowling, fictitious strings running down her ankles and digging into the dampened soil in a sharp knot. The awkward introduction was followed by further awkward silence-- like a seeping shadow, it crept upon her with its' bitter qualities and painted her complexion crimson. Both cheeks were brightly flushed as she awaited a response - or atleast an inkling of a reaction - air seeping out of her nostrils as if she was a bull stationed before a matador's scarlet flag. In due time, after what seemed like an eternity, the resting boy was awakened from his slumber. He seemed groggy, careless, hardly parting his lids to analyze her attire or question her sudden appearance. This indifferent comportment lit the flame beneath Hinari's boiling temper, and the red shade spread to each ear-- piqued by both wrath and humility.. But she stood. She stood as still as a soldier, stiffly watching the boy avert his glance towards her glare and inspect the scrunched up mess of a raging face. The poor Shin'Ichi might have felt all the more confused, but Hinari couldn't care less- the fury she was experiencing was a typical response, pettily petulant, so awfully spoiled.
"What are you waiting for, then?! I haven't got all day you know!"
She fumed in a hassle, another eye twitch derived out of the leisure fashion the boy was coming to a rouse. Her arms folded in a tightly done cross above her midriff, a fingertip tapping along the Konohagakure insignia - imprinted just inside the metal-made fringe of the headband around her arm. It emitted a tip-tapping of steel, chiming with the lousy chewing of her gum.

~~

Finally, just then, the boy parted his lips to speak. Her eyes made a comical stretch as she peered onto him with great anticipation, her mouth hanging agape with a thousand assumptions. Will she finally come to hear the voice of the boy she already calls an acquaintance? Is his voice even all that special? What is he going to say?! What would his first impression be?!--
'Eh?...'

...

"IS THAT IT?!"
She burst out in a screech, the twitching in her eyelid intensifying, giving her the appearance of a madman with severe anger issues.. And perhaps that's exactly what she was.
"What do you mean by 'Eh?!' How am I supposed to respond to that?!"
She had completely forgotten about her rude introduction, how late she was running, or how after each word came the repugnant smacking of her gum. She was fuming, steam might be seen emerging from her scalp and evaporating into thin air.
'Calm down, first impressions, first impressions!'

Came a murmur,
'He's just sleepy, that's all, nothing to worry about!'

Another whisper.
With the goals of bringing her temper to a calm, she made a quick gyrate, vanishing from his view on the tips of her heels. She crushed a dandelion underfoot as she stomped an angry path towards the nearest oak tree, her pace heavy, her footfalls severe. A few quick breaths were pushed out of her throat as she circled the thick trunk-- it seemed she took part in.. A placating technique? Her stride was as odd as it could get, increasing in rhythm, the soles of her shoes leaving footprints in their wake.
Hinari was never one to take part in social activities. Brought up in a simple orphanage, her modest group of friends consisted of a smart tanned boy, a cheerful blonde girl and her older brother of seven years - but those glee-filled days evaporated with time's passing. Eventually, searching parents adopted the children, taking them away one by one, until Hinari was the only one to remain inside her solitary bedroom. Once she turned nine and took the notion of signing up to the academy, she was tossed aside like a used up rug and found herself living in solitude, acquiring an empty room that the orphanage was willing to fund for her. Those three years of nothingness grew onto her and molded her into what seemed to be a grumpy old man stuck within a twelve year old girl's body; too stuck-up and anxious to score any bonds. Only once she graduated, the idea of teamwork seemed to require an acquaintance or two, which drove Hinari to spend some days.. seeking friends. Instead, she'd bully a few children and steal a loaf of bread from one of the many vendors in the village - but her mission was hardly successful. She was completely alone and she preferred that at times, but no longer was she willing to spend her days by meaningless walks around the village and empty small-talks with the neighboring cats. She enrolled into the academy, got out with a certificate of her graduation - The headband tired around her arm - And finally it was time for her to accept missions, train, and that she could not achieve on her own.

~~

With an audible cough and a deep inhale, Hinari slammed both palms across her cheeks. She burst out of her stupor with a sudden shake of her head and slowly, so slowly, she abandoned the tree's side, walking back to the boy with great unease. Her complexion was returning to a pale ivory, her anger somewhat subdued. But with that motivation returned the excruciating awkwardness.
"..Hi. I'm Hinari, it's my name. Remember me? Er.. Yeah. Do you.. Uh, do you want to.. lick leaves- I mean, play hide and seek? I like tag. Let's play tag. Ahahaha! Haha.. Ahaha."
Once more, those damned threads returned to her body. Frozen, immobile, the usual routine stuck at her core. From a humiliating introduction came the deafening silence, and eventually, rage - or perhaps the frustration at her own communication skills redirected towards the poor Shin'Ichi infront.
"Why are you sleeping here anyways?! Don't you know it's unhealthy to sleep right next to a lake in the open? You're rude, you know? Didn't your mother teach you any manners?! What kind of a first impression is that?!"
Irony at it's best.

The groggy genin was utterly confused and sleepy. Nothing else sounded better to him than going back to sleep, but that was what his brain wanted him to think. The actual Shin would clearly rather train, but after you fall asleep and wake up shortly after, it's only natural that one would want to retreat back into their slumber and escapade into their own dreams once more. The fact they were near a clam lake and surrounded by peaceful animal noises didn't really help his case of waking up either. Albeit this, he still intended on getting up. He just didn't know how to quite do th-- "IS THAT IT?!" The young Kimura's lids unfurled faster than Sonic himself. The loud, upset girl made the young boy jump upwards, landing on his feet like a cat would. His head turned violently from side to side, eyes showing shock and worry. What had happened? He had completely forgotten about the girl's existence! It's like his mind was racing with a car, not much was to be known about the moment, he only knew it was happening. He was clearly being yelled at, but by whom?! There had to be a culprit! Then he finally began to remember. He began to calm down, scratching his head as he began to hear some whispering behind his person. His face was confused for a moment before his head tilted on cue, optics aligning with the person of the girl. He suddenly remembered her and why he was even there! But did he do something? Clearly something was wrong, but he didn't want to say anything. It felt like she had a knife up to his neck, the intensity too great to reply to the girl. Almost as if he were speaking to his very angry mother... There was only one thought going through his mind at this point.

"Girls are scary...''

He frightfully watched the girl pace back to the oak and to be honest, he's never seen anyone deal with anger before. His mother usually just went with the flow, so he couldn't really tell if she was getting pumped to come beat him up, or if she was just becoming calm. Though, he had a feeling she was becoming calm as she became tight-lipped. He became to calm down from his little scare, not really knowing what to expect from the girl next. Was she going to calm down, or was she going to continue freaking out? He still had a knife at his neck, there wasn't much he could say to the other genin. He would simply play the waiting game he supposed. Not much else he could really do. She stopped at an oak tree, halting her awkward stride. That was the place she was going to do it then? Might as well tidy up as he waited, right? Not like she'd really see him... The young genin quickly kneel'd down, cupping his hands before dipping them into the azure waters in order to gain some. He took a sip of the seemingly pristine water, unaware that fish and other animal's lived in that particular lake. Though, it's not like he would've cared anyways. After the drink, he raised up once more, wiping some of the residue of the water onto his face to wake him up even further. He was still really confused on what he did wrong, but either way he'd find out soon enough. Then, it happened. A clap was heard as she smacked her hands onto each cheek, sort of a warning that she was going to be back soon. He got into place, standing still as a statue as he watched the she-devil approach her 'pray'. He was ready if she suddenly attacked. His hand subtly twitched as he awaited her to do something... ANYTHING!

"..Hi. I'm Hinari, it's my name. Remember me? Er.. Yeah. Do you.. Uh, do you want to.. lick leaves- I mean, play hide and seek? I like tag. Let's play tag. Ahahaha! Haha.. Ahaha." The intensity faded rather quickly after this, he released a small sigh before conjuring up something to say. But... it was actually quite hard to do. He actually found his emotions fighting each other. He wanted to tell the girl off for being late, but then again, he didn't want to have an argument before the time they were going to play together. It seemed she didn't want to train, so dressing in his training gear was a bit presumptuous. Rather, he found quite the alternative. The sun was still out, beating against the dew ridden flooring of grass. "Why are you sleeping here anyways?! Don't you know it's unhealthy to sleep right next to a lake in the open? You're rude, you know? Didn't your mother teach you any manners?! What kind of a first impression is that?!" He awaited for her to finish this little rant of hers before begin his own. He found it quite ironic that she was yelling at him while she was the one that was late. No, he hasn't forgotten that. Rather, he was awaiting his moment to finally lay it out on her. She may have expected this to be ironic herself, and for that reason he was about to turn the table abruptly and nonchalantly. The young genin of the Kimura clan knew the consequences were going to be bad, but... he really, really just had to point out the girl's mistake. If he didn't, it just wouldn't be him. Without further ado, he spoke. A single digit raised, pointing straight at the girl in question.

''You're late.''

The dissipated, crimson blush never lost it's route, it made a swift comeback to the girl's contorted face as she anticipated a response, mortified by the frightened inspection the boy seemed so willing to give her- it was almost familiar really, she frequently lost her way of thought and scared nearby eavesdroppers with her sanity going adrift. Thankfully, the only listeners were the critters of the lush forest and the pack of ravens that seemed to flock away at the roar of Hinari's booming vocals. And so silence engulfed the area, that excruciating silence, the hushed tranquility that brought memories of nothing but emptiness and solitary nights. The silence that was so awkward that it brought goosebumps into her system, travelling down her limbs in a state of pure embarrassment and distress. She was at the hands of the boy's reply a second time, and it drove her crazy-- the tips of her thumbs were tugging at the soft corners of her T-shirt, a comical sweat-drop running down her side. In fate's jest, once more would her overbearing routine make a quick repeat. She was dependent on the revolting speed the boy chose to speak in, so sedate and sluggish, the complete opposite of Hinari herself - The stammering, ranting Hinari that spared no time for stretched conversations. As she awaited his words and allowed the boy's mind to construct a healthy sentence, she averted her gaze. With a tilt of her head she found herself staring at the clouds-- all which had the faces of demons upon their fluffy surface. Wait, what? Her sights took a downfall, throwing furtive glances and peeks at her surroundings. A mouse ran by, it's muzzle shifted into what seemed to be a grin. She turned right, a small bug was climbing up a distant tree's bark-- bursting out with laughter?! Then came a squirrel and devoured it whole, running off with an impish smile of it's own. Was mother nature mocking her? Today wasn't her day. She felt her patience run short, so close to its' limit - But then he spoke.

~~

"You're late."
...
She felt her pulse beginning to rise, veins bulging at her forehead. Her pupils contracted to the size of tiny circles, the icy blue irises screaming 'DEATH' at whomever they met-- and they settled upon Shin'Ichi. If looks had the power of slicing a person's stomach and spilling their guts out for the use of household ornaments painted in the red dye of BLOOD, this look would do the trick. Tiny little strands of hair stood up over her head, an electric surge of rage spilling out of her ears. Had she looked like a madman before? This appearance was far over it; she was lost in the deep end of a short fuse and the struggles of major anger issues. She took a step forward, her shoulders heaving with each breath she took. Then another step, closing their distance at a turtle's pace, immaturely hotheaded yet frighteningly so.
But then-- She stopped. She took a deep breath and made a few steps back.
"Ah, what a wonderful day, isn't it, Shin'Ichi? The birds are humming and the wind feels so nice! I love life!"
Something certainly broke in her head. Her fingers intertwined in a clutch behind her back, her smiling eyes looking anywhere but at the boy himself. She made a quick pivot and skipped towards the opposite direction, inspecting the mushrooms that latched onto a tree's surface, taking a gentle whiff of the colorful flowers that lay hidden beneath the overbearing grassblades. She crouched down and allowed a single ladybug to crawl over her nail, making its' way up her wrist as it parted its' wings and bid Hinari farewell, flying off into the breeze that carried it across the distance. Such a wonderful day.

~~

She turned around, her smile widely spread from ear to ear. She was at a straight line from Shin'Ichi himself, her fingers were twitching against her sweaty palms. Then, comically done, her hair started floating about her, either lifted by the chakra she was gathering in a super saiyan-esque fashion, or a casual gust passed by, most probably the latter. In a moment's notice, in a robotic way, her elbows relocated themselves at her sides, brought up in preparation for what was going to come. Her torso turned, as did the rest of her body, before she took a step, her wide grin never fading. Eventually, the grin cracked open as she voiced silent snickers, her cheerful eyes overshadowed by the layer of bangs that hung over her forehead.
"Aha.. Ahahaha...'
Then, the snickers turned into a crazed fit of laughter, and she kicked herself off the ground. The run started heavy, like a slow-motion film was taking place before Shin'Ichi. But the pace increased, her feet sinking deeper and deeper into the muddy soil before she burst into a full-blown sprint, laughing all the way.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!'

~~

As she finally reached him, she'd aim to leap off the ground and raise a foot, attempting to drive it straight into his face to dislocate his nose and throw him into the lake. Whether she would have missed it or not, she herself would also dive into the lake's waters in a cannon-ball fashion, a big splash covering her surroundings as she swam inside, taking a few long minutes before finally raising to gather her breath. Her long, straight hair was splattered all over her shirt and tights, covering her eyes, giving her an octopus-like appearance.

She was silent.

Shin kept the finger in place, pointing at the girl, awaiting her reaction. It wasn't too long after that he got one. Her eyes shifted into bricks of ice and veins bulged from her forehead. It was as she intended it, the very meaning of death was staring the young genin down right before his very own eyes. It felt as if a knife was being cut across his stomach. An eerie silence fell between the two as she performed the look of pure rage towards the Kimura. His right leg instantaneously flew upwards as he body pivoted to the side. His arms flung up in front of his body. At this point, everything was tensed. His arms, his legs, his face, even his stomach. He was getting himself ready mentally for the future. His eyes turned white, not really knowing what to expect. She was extremely pissed. He had anger issues as well, but not as bad as her... clearly. A single shiver overcame his whole body as he released a short 'eeh' sound from in between his lips. This was not a great feeling to feel. Rather, probably one of the worst ones you could possibly imagine. As a child, he never understood why females got so worked up over such a small incident. It's not like he made fun of her or anything... right? Either way, he had a feeling this was bound to happen if he pointed out the obvious, and he was ready for whatever was about to happen. Judging by her current condition, he'd expect the other young genin to attack him without hesitation, but yet they both still sat there. Hinari giving him the death stare whilst he stood in shock and fear. He continued to cringe on a timed basis, almost as if a defense mechanism for when she pounced, his body would already be moving to attempt to counteract. However... something rather strange happened. She took a deep breath to 'calm down' as it seemed, something he clearly didn't expect. His adrift leg slowly lowered, still unsure of what was going on...

"Ah, what a wonderful day, isn't it, Shin'Ichi? The birds are humming and the wind feels so nice! I love life!" Something was different about her voice. It was rather... passive aggressive you could say. He felt that this wasn't over, but he was just going to go with it for now... Even as she said this, she moved away from the on-guard genin. This made it easier for him to loosen up his body. His foot met grace with the grass underneath his feet, arms retreating to their sides. "Did I break her?...'' was whispered underneath his breath before he continued to observe her clearly abnormal actions. She turned and skipped to a tree and even picked up a ladybug... yeah, she was broken. But he didn't dare to take a step, for all the balance of the world was now on his shoulders. He had to attempt to fix this. His lips parted slightly, but only air could come out. He didn't know what to say... He didn't do anything wrong, it's just that she so happens to be psychotic. Then another change... her head turned once more to face Shin. His face turned sour, not knowing what to expect now. Her hair began to raise and... at quite the dramatic time too. Clearly it was the intensity around her person that was pulling it upwards into the sky. He effortlessly noticed the twitching of his fingers. Yeah... this was definitely not over. Not by a long shot. Rather, this was most likely the start to a fight. Then she took a step, and Shin attempted to take a step back. But he finally remembered... he was cornered! "Crap..." He had to think of something... Finally, the snickers of insanity occurred. This was it...! His body tensed in quick fashion as it took a very basic Taijutsu stance he learned from the academy. His left foot slid back, closing his body from her hitting range. His right fist rose whilst his left got into proper position in front of his chest. His right shoulder now faced the young psychotic girl as the psychotic laughter got louder... and louder... and louder. As it got louder, she got faster. He legs took larger strides and her feet sunk deeper into the earth. The young genin wasn't feeling too good about the situation... Her act here was really freaking him out and throwing him off. Alas, once she reached him and jumped black lines trailed down the youngin's face. His mouth opened ever so gently before he quickly turned his cheek, allowing the foot to imprint onto his right cheek...

"Shit!'' was shouted as he felt the pain ripple across his face and send him flying. Upon flying into the azure lake from the girl's previous attack, it created a large splash and vibration which was obviously caused by his dropping body. His face squinted from pain as his hand sliced through the water to hold the injured cheek. It was surely meant to swell later. Though, he couldn't forget about the water situation. His cheeks cartoonishly filled with air as he began to cut his arms through the water to reach the top, but before he could reach the top, Hinari had jumped in as well! Welp, she had a surprise. As she was falling deep into the lake, Shin would hastefully grab her right leg and begin to tug her farther under, pulling off her leg for more momentum to reach the top of the lake...! As well as using this, his sharp eyes began to take their own initiative by scanning the girl as he arose to the top of the lake. If she were to attempt to grab him once more, he'd surely be ready to either a.) avoid it, or b.) counter it with a kick...! It all depended on the situation really, and either could equally happen. Though, hopefully upon him reaching the top, he could begin to backstroke away from the girl, effortlessly gliding atop the contents of the lake. As stated earlier, his hazel hued optics were still scanning the girl, making sure not to lose track of her and not to be blindsided. And if she were to come up from the water after him, he'd already have the words to speak to her, no longer afraid but rather... excited.

"So're we gonna start this fight, or what?! I've been waiting twenty minutes for you to get here, the least you could do is not act psychotic!" He'd shout with excitement and vigor, and his facial expression complimented his words by previewing the same emotions as the words. He's been waiting awhile for this, one of the main reasons he was so happy to meet here!

Hinari was swathed in a lightheaded stupor. In the midst of her psychotic transition, her slow-motioned dash, her crazed desire to tackle the boy into the freezing waters, she was trapped within a dream. She stood in the middle of a flaxen room, the roof was missing, the twikling stars shining bright beneath the darkened firmament. A squirrel reached closer, that one squirrel that seemed to be grinning in the forest while she took a conversing with Shin'Ichi. It stood at her height on both it's hind paws, and it beamed. It's muzzle was contorted, the entirety of its' figure coated in a blissful aura of beauty. All of a sudden, a fuzzy paw rose to meet Hinari's forehead, and with an utterance of inaudible words, she awoke.

A step. Another step. A dozen more. Hinari was in the midst of a steady approach towards the clearly frightened boy. Her laughter was mighty albeit its' source had made a sharp shift-- the whole situation seemed oddly and quite ironically amusing. The psychotic note within the crazed cackling dissipated, giving way to the genuine tune of exuberance.
The face full of fright, the defensive posture, the tensed muscles and the shocked disposition - Shin'Ichi was clad in the regalia of jest, and the anger was heaved out of the girl's system. But it was far too late. As the balls of her feet slid against the ground in a vain effort to stop her impossible stride-- Her foot found itself plastered across the boy's right cheek in a painful collision, the physical laws proving to much for Hinari to overcome.
CRASH. The two were sent flying towards the lake. First Shin'Ichi, and Hinari not too far behind, their skin shattering the peaceful waters and breaking through the surface in a splash. The critters that have been previously hanging about were nowhere to be seen - Birds were flying out of nearby nests in pure shock. The whole scene came to an abrupt conclusion, the forest was peaceful.

Within the lake it was another story. Dumped inside, Hinari's lids slipped shut as the coolness coated her essence. Silence. The bubbling of trapped oxygen was music to her ears, that certain silence beneath the surface was as calming as could get. A wide smile was spread along the girl's lips, still entertained by the memory of Shin'Ichi's horror. The whole ordeal seemed so... So different, so.. satisfying. The comical fringe to this incident's frame seemed so joyous and lively and exotic, a bizarre change to her dull routine. Unfortunately, in Hinari's case, nothing peaceful lasts for long.
YANK. She felt something wrap around her ankle, a tight grip enclosed with digits. But the girl's imagination was rich, too vivid at times, and the best she could come up with was..
"SHARK!"
She burst out in a scream, still underneath the water, her lasting sources of oxygen escaping her with a storm of bubbles. She clamped both palms over her mouth as the creature pulled her further in, but she kicked and flailed and punched in a blinded frenzy, up until she was released and allowed to swim up. With a choked inhale, a refreshing gust of air seeped into her littered lungs, choking and coughing and blinded by hair. After a stretched moment of regaining her balance she made her way back to the shore, unless interrupted, and slicked her bangs up with her fingers. Only then realization dawned on her.
"Are you CRAZY?! What if I drowned?! What if I couldn't swim?! Why'd you pull me down?!"
She muttered with further coughs, a balled hand thumping against her chest. With a quick stride and the purse of her lips, she walked over to the nearest tree and tugged at her soaked shirt, kneading at the fabric as the water drip-dropped into the dirt below. Next, she paced over to the boy and crouched down to inspect his feet, cautious of any kicks or hits that may meet her in an eventful turn of a fight. Unless interrupted, she would sneak her digits by a pant and rip a long piece out. At the event of success, Hinari would hurry off and use the cloth as a ribbon, keeping her drenched locks up in a ponytail.

But then he spoke.

~~

"So're we gonna start this fight, or what?! I've been waiting twenty minutes for you to get here, the least you could do is not act psychotic!"
She tapped two fingers against a thigh, her temper rising.
"What do you mean 'start this fight'?! I didn't even want to fight with you.. Is that the point of this stupid thing?! And who do you think you're calling crazy-- You're the one who wants to start random fights in the middle of a.. friendship meeting! You're rude and uncultured and.. and.. Goodbye!"

~~

She turned her head in a huff and made a harsh turn, a sullen saunter dragging her towards the village. She would clear her path and cross the park's margin, her destination: Home. Although the skip in her stride accompanied some vexation, a small smile was flourishing across her face. The whole meeting was.. fun. For her, the random occurrence had earned her an acquaintance, or perhaps even a friend.

Bubbles of oxygen popped and imploded in the azure waters in which Shin and Hinari were both inside. It seemed that the young boy had scared the living shit out of her! Perfect. A little payback never hurts, and especially when he gets a grand reaction like that, it surely pays off in the end. His legs pumped quickly, arms slicing through the water as he swam upwards, eyes lightly grazing over the girl. A smile spread across his face as his head bursted out of the water. The smile was still evident, eyes still gazing over Hinari's person. His black hair was now soaked of course, no longer straight up but instead let down, colliding with the blonde tuft in the center of his forehead. Not only this, but it basically covered the forehead protector that was proudly word about on his forehead. It was unusually to see the boy like this, being as he never wears it down. An uncommon sight indeed, but bubbles of air would soon arrive on the surface of the lake, followed by the evil girl that got them both in that wet mess. She swam to shore right after taking a few deep breaths, understandable. But his real question was if she was alright to fight! He was quite the imaginative one, still believing they were going to fight sooner or later on this day. He allowed her onto shore as he continued to await her response. His hand became jittery with excitement... before... "Are you CRAZY?! What if I drowned?! What if I couldn't swim?! Why'd you pull me down?!" His face turned expressionless. At this rate he knew the fight was probably going to be canceled, but he retorted to the girl's silly question. His arms nonchalantly crossed and his lips puckered outwards as his legs kept him lifted in the water. His head angled to the side before he answered her question. "Oh boo-hoo!~ You jumped in the lake before I pulled you down, that means ya' could swim!"

This whole thing was a mess. It seemed the two children had different ideals about what this meeting was about... Usually when he had a 'friendship meeting' with a genin he figured it was self-implied there was going to be a spar. Guess not to her, sadly... She was walking away at this point, and he let out a semi grunt of anger, but internally he didn't mean it. Something happened between the two. Their paths crossed eternally, intertwining into a never ending story of the future. The blank page was placed, all that was left was the painter to begin the painting. A smirk overcame the young boy's face. Without nice words or exchanging fists, the two knew who each other was and what made them... them. Something special something. He couldn't explain it... Nothing like this has happened to him in his whole life time, but... Fuck it, might as well not even thing about it too much. Strife turned into a beautiful friendship, that's the best words he could think of to describe the moment. Then... it dawned on him. The sun was slowly lowering, meaning...

"CRAP, I HAVE TO GET HOME!"

The young genin quickly hopped from the water towards the forest, disappearing into the murky greens. Branches cracked, forest critters scattered. The scene ended on a nice sun set followed by terrified screams made by Shin, more than likely due to being so late to get home. Yeah... it was a start to a beautiful friendship.
