The way she had struck the ground after his slash even made Sanosuke make a face. Sanosuke had to quickly regain his composure before Kaekio would see his face. He couldn't help but look down to see how Kaekio was doing with the pain. She tried to hide it but there was no escape from his eyes, his vision was too sharp to not get a single glimpse of the girl's face. Sanosuke kind of felt bad for hitting her too hard, but then again Sanosuke had to think that this was just a love tap compared to the training that he had received from Guru Pathik's physical conditioning. He may be a frail old man, but with that precise chakra control it's like taking a shot in the kidneys by a donkey's kick. But still, Sanosuke had to show a little restraint after all. Holding back one's full potential was quite the workout itself; too much power and he could be charged with killing his own student, too little and little Kaekio might kick his ass just because he dropped his power way too low. The pain that she is experiencing is only just the beginning of what she will go through as a shinobi, if she can't even deal with having her sword arm being bruised, then she had no business being a shinobi.
There was still hope for the girl as she tried to pick herself up from the ground that Sanosuke had punted her into. Her arm that Sanosuke had left temporarily unusable from the trauma that his blunt sword caused, shook painfully as she tried so very hard to get herself up from the ground. A small smile grew on his face like a flower in a field as he felt something grow in his chest. He didn't know specifically what was this feeling in his chest that it was growing. His face felt flustered and he couldn't get rid of that smirk. He felt proud of something, maybe admiration of how determined and tenacious his student was. This was going to be fun indeed. She weakly rose her hand as though to beg for mercy. The very second she did that, Sanosuke didn't believe her. It was a simple tactic. Basic rules of deception that all shinobi were taught in the academy; hell this was most likely even before academy rules, simple slapstick comedy. Besides the look in her eyes when he suggested the spar told him that she was someone that wouldn't back down from a fight no matter how hairy it got. Sanosuke had his sword leaning on his shoulder as he approached the girl while keeping a close eye on her. What kind of trick would she use against him?
His question was solved on cue by a flash of light coming from Kaekio's hand that she rose to show her surrender. So much for a surrender right? The light was turning into sparks of lightning that would strike at Sanosuke if he didn't act fast enough then the lightning blast might actually do some damage to him. That was obviously the main reason why he had approached Kaekio in the first place, to see what was going on with the right hand. Her hand was in striking distance before she even had the chance to fire. Sanosuke moved to smack her hand out of the way. He wasn't quick enough as the main blast of the lightning was only partiall diverted. It zipped by his ear only grazing it slightly, however his left arm that he used to smack the hand away was buzzing slightly in pain. "Damn." Sanosuke muttered as he backed his hand away from Kaekio. He'd have to remember to treat the burns on his left hand, that lightning most likely left him with a burn. Before he could retalliate properly, Kaekio had put forth all of speed and momentum in grabbing the sword that she abandoned when Sanosuke had struck her sword arm to cause the genin to drop it.
When she grabbed it, the kunoichi grabbed her sword using just her left hand and ran at him. That was a katana she was wielding, a two handed sword that was to be used with just that; two hands. If she was to use that sword's full potential then she would need to use both hands and not just one. Using his sword to counter the kunoichi's slashes. Sanosuke followed the movements of her sword with his eyes. Even with her injured arm, the kunoichi still had the strength from her other arm to wield that katana with just one arm. It was remarkable. But not at all profecient. The girl needed to be able to use the sword properly, he'd tell her that soon after their training. Sanosuke got his sword from his shoulder and continued blocking the strikes of the kunoichi. His sore left hand combined with the oddily even more determined look in Kaekio's eyes made it harder for Sanosuke to slip in his own counterattacks. She was barely letting Sanosuke get in. Her strikes were coming in stronger and with more purpose than just swinging it with just the hollow purpose of doing what sensei said. He'd let the girl get comfortable with the exchange of slashes that was occuring between the two before finishing it.
Lightning sparked as his sword collided with Kaekio's lightning charged katana. If he hadn't covered his body with a light fuuton coat of chakra, he'd have been shocked a long time ago. When the moment was right, Sanosuke decided to make his move. The sennin waited for the girl to be in mid swing of her sword swing that had her push a lot of her weight in the swing. Moving up to meet her, Sanosuke got inside of her space fairly quickly. Before she could retreat, he placed his leg between his legs and twisted his right foot so that it was perpendicular to the girl's left heel. Before his foot even hit the ground, Sanosuke hit the very bottom part of the girl's katana hilt so that his blunt sword would collide with the girls' fingers with enough force for her to immediately drop the sword on the ground. As soon as he would hear the katana clatter to the ground, Sanosuke would place the tip of his sword to Kaekio's neck.
"Yield, you've done enough." Sanosuke would instruct to his student while his left hand was retired behind his back. Throughout the entire blade to blade matchup they had after Kaekio had shocked his left hand, Sanosuke was using only one hand to wield his sword while the other was folded behind his back.
