The barren landmass of Kumogakure no Sato trembled beneath his feet. The clouds in the sky began to weep, as though with knowledge of the blood that had been shed, as if they could read the purpose of the man who slipped out of the inn he had been so kindly unwelcome in; the screams of the inhabitants were like a lullaby. However, he needed to make his way to the Land of Earth. He walked confidently and with each second he knew that he was the most feared man in the shinobi world. He had been nearby when the shroud that was the life of Uchiha, Hao was lifted and he had revelled in the blood spilled on that trip…noble blood…Kage blood… The iron taste of the Raikage’s blood was still on his mind, and the feeling of joy it brought him when he crystallized the former Raikage. It was becoming a bit methodical for him, something that he was getting used to.
The moon was completely concealed behind the black clouds in the sky and it gave the perfect cover for the vagabond as he made his way towards his target. It was a beautiful scene, only once in a moment or so would a spear of moonlight reach the surface, refracted and colored by the falling rain. There was something in Tame's heart---however unlikely it was that he had one---that told him to take a break. He would make his way towards the land of Tsuchi no Kuni, in the village of Iwagakure no Sato, the Village Hidden in Stone, and there he wouldtake refuge after he had killed the Raikage. As he made his way towards the Earth Country, he made sure that he activated his Meisaigakure no Jutsu, a technique that would allow him to pass by unnoticed anywhere he wished to go. As much as killing whatever pathetic ANBU operatives that the village wished to send into the slaughter would be fun, he did not wish anything to deter him from his goal, or to make plain his fight with the Raikage. He would not allow anyone to ruin this getaway for him.
As he approached the mountainous landscape of the Village Hidden in the Stones, a grin reached his face once more, the rain having not stopped as though the deities grieved still over the loss of their gem, the Raikage Misora Reika. Each footfall was light with internal jubilation, each mile crossed another closer to his goal, each rock stepped on another piece of his objective conquered. The steps to the gate at the entrance of the Village Hidden in the Stones were a set often trodden, but almost never by one with such a purpose; no, they were an industrious bunch. His determination managed to keep any form of fatigue from gripping his body and he took each hand-carved step in stride. The sun began to rise behind the dark silhouettes of the sierra, making a beautiful sky of blues and purples and greys, the likes of which were not often seen in the ninja world; that is, beauty was not something common.. Tame didn’t take even a second to soak in the beauty of his surroundings. He had only one thing on his mind today, and that thing was rest…Before the end of the night, he would be home free in Iwagakure, out of the reach of the Kaminari law…
Yes, the only place he could truly say he was safe and at home. Iwa, a funny place that he never thought he would miss.
