Ripples in the water [Personal Training ~ Suiton] Water11_zpsb686538a

One of the few water supplies in Iwagakure, the lake is fed by multiple waterfalls on a cliff above it. The lake is said to have been created by a lone ninja who worked himself to death in order to secure a stable supply of water to the village, hence the name "Sacrifice Lake."

Today was the day for Rue to train her Suiton, she had decided upon a specific location Gisei Lake as she had heard rumors of its beauty. Upon her bedside table sat a bag packed with everything she would need for her day in the Wilderness, food, a change of clothes, water? and a few weapons in case she ran into any trouble. Grabbing her pack she made for the door, locking it behind before she took to the rooftops, each rooftop seemed like the mirror image of the last though the architecture of the Village was something that awed many. Passing a few houses Rue's mind wandered to the sky above, a small amount of clouds had gathered and she could feel that rain was coming, it was much too early for it to come now but it was coming nevertheless.

After traveling an hour Rue made it to her destination just as her stomach rumbled. She had forgotten to eat that morning so it was no wonder she would be hungry so she decided she would eat her lunch she had packed for herself and Gisei lake was the perfect spot to have a picnic, even if it was alone. During her time she couldn't help but think about the man she was feeling herself fall in love with, The Tsuchikage Kazu. At one point in her life she had met him as a child, he had saved her from death and injured himself in the process. Then again when she first arrived in Iwagakure he had saved her during her very first D-Ranked mission, that time he had injured himself again in the process. These chain of events seemed to repeat themselves and Rue wanted to put a stop to it, she knew that if she were train and become strong maybe someday it would be her that would save Kazu. That's what Today was all about, she needed to train her elements and Suiton was her first as it was one of the most important for Unton ~ her cloud release kekkei genkai. After eating Rue's eyes became heavy and her mind began to drift into the realm of dreams, she hadn't even started training yet and already she were tired. Sleeping was something Rue almost found revitalising and often she could sleep half the day away if she could BUT Today wasn't that day, she would take no more then a short nap and continue her training.

Splash ~ Splash ~ SPLASH ~ SPLASH

Drip ~ Drop ~ DRIP ~ DROP
*Silence*

These are the sounds that Gisei Lake produces on a calm day, only the sounds of water rushing, water dripping and fish splashing could be heard as it echoed across the vastness that is Gisei. Overhead the sunsrays beamed down upon the lake causing it to shimmer like a freshly polished diamond. The temperature around the lake was cool, moisture in the air was endless, fighting off the heat that tried to invade it's waters. The area was a favourite of animals that treated it like a watering hole, birds, deer, bears, and horses alike flocked to the area for the fresh and untouched waters, it was both revitalising and refreshing for any who took a sip from it's waters.

Sitting at the waters edge was Rue, her golden locks of hair and sapphire blue eyes reflecting off the waters surface like a shimmering painting, this place had become her main place to train her Suiton techniques due to the large amounts of both water and moisture that raced through the air. Rue had heard the history of the area and it fascinated her, ''Sacrifice Lake'' was a term she had heard even as a child and as she grew older it became a hobby that she would research the perfect areas where should could train and harness her abilities. Gisei Lake was one of the many she had decided upon due to its large watered area so it would perfect for Suiton training. Rue had researched the area thoroughly even its long history dating back to its creator, a lone shinobi who worked sweat, blood and bone in order to create the beautiful lake and it costed him his life. In a strange way Rue found it as a beautiful story, with death comes life and Rue felt that if the man had passed on, this would be the place his soul would remain guarding over that which he created in order for Tsuchi no Kuni to prosper. The man must of had a large amount of Will of Stone if he had risked his life to allow Iwagakure a water source.

Rue stood and approached the water, channeling chakra to her feet she walked across the water surface till she reached the center, all around her waterfalls bustled into the lake on which she stood. Rue focused chakra to her legs and buttocks and sat upon the waters surface as if floating, cross her legs she closed her eyes and began to meditate. Rue concentrated on the flow of the water, the way it swayed and rippled with each touch, the motion it rocked as she inhaled and exhaled. The way the water reacted when the waterfalls crashed down upon the lake, creating bubbles that foamed and traveled through the lake.

Rue's focus increased as she let herself become one with the water, feeling it as an extension of herself as  she felt the movements upon the surface. To her left at 40m a boar sipped slowly upon the water, its tongue touching the surface every seconds collecting water to drink, the vibrations shimmering across the water like a ripple effect shimmering up her body. On her right a bird floated upon the water, its legs tucked beneath it in the water as it floated carelessly with ease. Beneath her the movements of fish rattled the water, the swaying motion they created as they rushed around around the lake added to the movements of the water. After a brief moment the water became to once more, not even Rue's breathing could disturb the stillness, Rue successfully learnt how to be one with the water.

After meditating for the long period of time she opened her eye's with an impressed look on her face as she stood, walking across the waters surface to her backpack that lay at the waters edge. Grabbing it she pulled out a scroll and pen and wrote down what she had just felt, every little detail written into words on the sheet of paper. The Lake was a beautiful thing but Rue needed to study more, she needed to feel the anger in the water when a storm held its hand, and the screams of water that lay in the volcanic regions, how it steamed and bubbled and burst from the earth. These were places Rue wanted to go but mainly she had her mind set on the ocean, she had heard of its beauty but never experienced it herself. What did it look like and what ninja made it? These were silly thoughts but they were the curiosity of one who had never ventured far enough to witness its salty waters. As child Rue was promised by her Father that he would take her to see the ocean but his promise was short lived after he had died.

Tears formed in her eyes at the memory of her past, Her Mother who had died during child birth and her Father who had died trying to create a better future for his daughter. But parents loved their daughter but were now in the heavens watching over her, atleast thats how she saw it. At that moment rain began to fall upon the earth, as if the heavens themselves were crying over Rue's sadness. Sobs escaped the young Genin's lips as she remember not only the bad but the good as well, The Family she had made with The Severed Chains, Big Bear, Malik and even Grandma toot, a smiled appeared on the girls face at the thought of Grandma Toot. A name the old woman was given due to her constant passing of gas. At the moment lightning struck shifting Rue's memories to another time, the time before her Father died. Words echoed in her mind Be strong Rue, do not be held captive by words of hatred within your life for it only creates more sadness. Take life within your own hands and never let it go for I know you harness the strength to do it. Make your Mother and I proud my Daughter for we will always be with you-u.... They were the words of her Father and they were the words that had given her the motivation to grow stronger as both a person and a Kunoichi.

The rain poured harder, pelting the earth and Rue with hard drops of rain, water streaming across the Lake causing it to overflow. Rue stood with a determined look in her eyes, tears had halted and brought about determination. Rue ran to the centre of the Lake and allowed the water to stream over her body, the feeling she felt was freedom, she felt free, from her burdens and all those who tried to harm her.
